Came here on a Tuesday at about 5pm. It wasn't busy and got sat in a booth in the bar area. We came specifically for the Boomarita margarita flight that's been advertised online and this location apparently doesn't have it because it's not on the menu and when I asked the waiter about it he just shook his head like he had no idea what I was talking about. Alright. Food is whatever. What I am mostly upset with is the way they cooked steak. Got the 6oz sirloin. Granted that's a hard cut to cook in comparison to ribeye or NY strip, I will say I have never had a sirloin cooked THIS bad. First off, no seasoning. Had to dump the salt and pepper bottles on it. Secondly, the temps were all off. I ordered it medium rare, what I got was a a burnt top and bottom and the majority of the steak was gray-ish outside. To my horror, I was correct that the inside had a PROMINENT gray band and that the center was pretty much rare. If this was a brisket, I'd applaud because of how prominent that outer ring was. Please figure it out outback. Rice and petal thing were good. Soup looked weird but tasted okay. Overall 4/10 meal. Not satisfied. My son in I went to have lunch on 4/9. We order the blooming onions, steak and coconut shrimp and just the coconut shrimp with 2 potato soups. First off the blooming onions were so salty as well as the soup. I did mention it to the waitress and all that was said was "oh it must be the seasoning on the breading " that was it did not bother to offer a new one nothing. Our meals came out. I put lemon on my coconut shrimp and took a bite oh my so disgusting the shrimp was bad!!! It smelled horrible! I let the waitress know she took it back but I did not order anything else my mouth had such a horrible after taste. My son felt like I was exaggerating until he took a bite and spit it out on the napkin he said it was sour. Omg just typing this I want to throw up it was that bad. How did the cooks not smell it? Both meals were taken back nothing more was ordered we were so disgusted. Paid for the drinks we had and packed up the super salty bloomin onions that were a waste of money no one could eat them they were too salty they went in the trash. The only thing good was the bread. On dec 24 2025 I did a online order as a gift for a elderly man I live in cda idaho I went online and ordered from outback in upland at 530 n mountain ave upland. on the order sheet it asked for name so for filet mignon i put dick i didnt know his last name then i ordered rib eye bone in for terry. when terry went to pick up order a big guy came out to hand it to him an he acted like he wanted to fight terry ... he said that terry was calling him a dick. I had to go in the front to ask if there is a waitress were we are seating? She said let me get her. Then after 10 mins we were getting up to leave she walked over. Really disappointing. We came in for lunch today and ordered our food. Our food was taking a little longer than normal to come out but we were ok with it as we figured the kitchen was probably busy. It looked decently busy but not packed. Our server was very attentive and went to check on our food. Moments later he came back and I had ordered a medium ribeye steak. Upon cutting into it, it was very rare. I had asked them if they could please cook it a little longer as I wanted it medium (hot center pink with brown edges). When it came back, it was still very raw and almost worse than it was the first time. A different server (possibly the manager) asked me if I was satisfied and I said no that's not what I asked for so he took it back a second time and stated he would cook it himself. Upon receiving it a third time, it looked visibly charred, the steak had been trimmed where I had cut it, and it was past well done. At that point I was really disappointed and decided just to eat my steak as is and leave. They did offer to comp my meal which they did but I had every intention of paying, but would never come back to this location. We came literally when they opened. For the first time we did the unlimited soup and salad and upgraded to get the onion soup and wedge salad. Sooooooo worth it!! Only downer was that the second bowl of soup was significantly smaller than the first one. It did take us asking for seconds to actually gets seconds. The Food was very okay. That's the main thing I can say about the food I had today. The bloomin' onion was probably the best item I ordered, however the bloomin' burger was probably one of the worse burgers I've had in recent history. The burger was so greasy that you are unable to taste many of the ingredients in the burger. It was so greasy even the lettuce and plate was glisening with oil. Additionally the pickles in the burger were so strong with dill and vinegar that you are unable to taste anything else when you get a bite of them. Lastly, the bun was completely soaked in oil and extremely soggy as a result of the grease. When you are sat down you are provided with bread as well as butter, which tastes pretty good as far as a loaf of bread goes. The staff was extremely slow, but very friendly and makes sure you are well taken care of even though they have a mountain of tasks (perhaps due to dining during a holiday). All three were top notch. No complaints. Maybe the best I've had in a while. My wife had the prime rib but it was a bit over cooked. The waiter told us ahead of time so no issue here.
