Unfortunately I have to say that this restaurant/deli was quite disappointing. We visited on Monday, Dec 23, 2024 and ordered a hot pastrami, on rye, coleslaw on the side, no cheese, add mustard, and a side of fried pickles. First issue was they were out of all rye bread and we had to have the sandwich on sourdough. Second, was their "pastrami", was not pastrami, if you've ever had a real hot pastrami, you know how it tastes. What they gave us was barely sliced beef, definitely not pastrami. Third and last were the fried pickles, they were overly oily and not much dill flavor. However, with all that said, the service was good, and there is a small modest dining area. I really wanted to love this place, but it just doesn't hit the mark. It certainly isn't like a deli in New York. read more

The enthusiasm of the staff makes it worthy of four stars. The sandwiches are big and meaty and definitely a cut above their competition. I normally like cold sandwiches but decided to venture out and try a hot sandwich instead of a salad (I didn't see any cold Sammie's on their menu). We ordered an Empire Steak and a Cali chick. You can make any sandwich a combo which includes fries and a drink. The Empire Sandwich is sliced beef with peppers, onions, mushrooms mayo and cheese. It was loaded up on a toasty soft bun and really hit the spot! The Cali chick is grilled chicken breast, lettuce, tomato, grilled onions and avocado aioli. It was fabulous! Big chunks of fresh seasoned chicken and plenty of toppings. We also got fries with it which were seasoned with a fry seasoning and were perfectly golden and crisp. Just how a good French fry should be!! The customer service was super friendly, place was clean and most importantly the food was good! Evidently this place is new 2 months & they've got it rockin, flawless ordering, quick delivery if fresh hot food! Had to order the Empire with fries very flavorful, good sized & hot! The fries have done all seasoning salt(ok). Shoestring style fries, nice hoagie bread & American cheese.. Strip mall location, located in the southeast corner of the suites, parking is busy so it's best to just park asap & walk a little, not far. Wanted to try this spot for about a year now (saw it on IG). The food was everything I hoped for. I got the Chopped Cheese. It was my first ever so I cannot compare it to anything you'd actually find in the Bronx, but nonetheless delicious. The fries are even something to write home about. Service was great. The guy at the counter made recommendations, offering the special (ahh...I can't recall the menu item name but it's their version of a Philly cheesesteak). Outta Bronx is a small casual sandwich shop with two locations (one in Phoenix) and this one located Peoria around 10 minutes away from Westgate in a shopping center. They offer a variety of hot sandwiches of various beefs, a fish sandwich, a couple chicken sandwiches, a gyro, grilled cheese, burgers and more. My husband ordered the chopped cheese (beef, American & provolone, lettuce, tomato, pickle on Baguette)) It wasn't in the description on the menus but they slathered the sandwich with mayonnaise and my husband HATES mayonnaise. He went to ask why mayonnaise was on his sandwich and the the girl at the counter denied that the white spread on the sandwich was mayonnaise and told him that it was part of the melted orange melted cheese. A man in the kitchen (the cook) just stared at him. So he tried to eat around the mayonnaise. The cheese on this sandwich was kind of hard and chewy. The middle of this sandwich all stuck together. I tried the sandwich called the east coast (thick cut pastrami, pickles, mustard on baguette) My pastrami wasn't thick and was sliced very thin maybe because it was under cooked. I can tell that it was undercooked because the fat was still hard. My sandwich was a little chewy but it tasted good. We also shared what they call the 50/50. It is a combination of fries and onion rings but is mostly thin cut fries. They reminded me of Burger King but soggier. Give them a try if you are in the area and want a sandwich. Parking is easy but seating is very limited and there doesn't appear to be a public restroom. read more

Initially I loved the big selection and decided we would try it out for my kiddo's birthday. It was more expensive that I'd hoped it would be, but the pictures on the website reflected large portions, and birthdays are days to splurge. We made an order for pickup, and it was done in the timeframe it said it would be done in, so seemed like we were off to a great start. When we finally got home and opened our meals, the portions were SIGNIFICANTLY smaller than we'd expected, but not only that, they didn't include any French fries, the sandwiches were missing ingredients, and when we finally got ahold of someone at the store, they offered no apologies or compensation for the order being so incorrect, and gave us the option to drive all the way back for the rest of our meal. Soooo, we went back. When we got there, staff was horribly rude and treated us awfully. The replacement of french fries were less than enough to cover one meal, and the head cook made it a point to tell us when we ordered, he "forgot to mention," they were out of several ingredients, and went on a rant about how he would not be doing anything to help us, would not be providing any kind of refund, and we were pretty much SOL. The food was alright, customer service was horrible, portions were tiny, and food was not worth the money we spent. It is less than likely that we will ever be coming here ever again, and 100% will not be recommending, but rather discouraging anyone and everyone from ever even considering having a meal here. read more

We went here around 7 pm on a Saturday. The restaurant is more of a grab and go location. There is one table and some high top seating inside and two tables outside. We ordered three sandwiches two empires, the Rachel and fried pickles. People were waiting inside. We waited at the cash register for a bit before being told they would be right with us. When I placed my order he asked if I wanted to substitute pickles in one of the order as it would be cheaper. That was very nice. Our fried pickles came out, he apologized and said they got slammed with door dash and people coming in they were working as fast as they could. Our two empires came out and he assured us the Rachel would be out soon. I will say the gentleman that helped us was spread thin. He was doing everything. The other two guys didn't seem like they knew what they were doing and just kind of stood there. We took our food to go. I will say they are very generous with their meat. I've been hearing some great things and had to come check it out. I decided my birthday was the perfect opportunity. We hopped in the car and headed over. The location is very small and shares a shopping center with a grocery store and other restaurants. You can sit inside, but be prepared that it may not happen with how busy it gets. Not only are there cheesesteaks; there are burgers, wings, loaded fries etc . We went a bit overboard (it was my birthday after all) and ordered so much. We decided on the empire cheesesteaks , Baja fries, spicy buffalo wings and a Chicago dog. We ordered all as a meal to get fries. We saw only two employees and more and more people coming in after we ordered, but they kept up well with the rush and it smelled so damn good inside. We waited for our food while we enjoyed our fountain drinks. Service was friendly and we had our food soon after. Everything looked so damn good and fries crispy. That first bite of the empire solidified I made the right decision. So dang good. So much flavor, meat cooked well, peppers only added to the great taste and the bread was perfect and not soggy. The Baja fries were phenomenal and the kick from the jalapeño and spicy sauce was amazing. The fries didn't get soggy and plenty of chicken mixed with the rest of the toppings. The wings were spicy and fried well. They were not overly done or dry. The Chicago dog was loaded and again just delicious. We left full and happy. Some reviews say it is a bit pricy, but honestly it was sit down restaurant quality, good portions and the meals at a seasonal $13 or so. Not too bad in my opinion. Effin bomb!!!! I love this place and It's important to support this small business. The owner knows good customer service and he knows how to run a business! His customer service exceeds expectations. He doesn't skimp on food quality. You get alot of food for your money!!! The menu is varied and well-prepared. I amazing from the East Coast as is the owner, so he gets my appreciation for quality food, service. My favorite meal is the CILANTRO LIME SALAD. it's huge but they make their own pesto, cilantro dressing!!! I try to choose other items, but it keeps calling me-lol. The other bomb item is the SHRIMP PO BOY-HUGE. I couldn't finish it. Come and eat the only downfall is that he closes at 8pm. So get there and don't go at 745pm, when the grill is going down-lol. Brisket, as well as all of their meats are cooked and cut in house. Brisket was tender. Sauce was a bit smokey. Roll was soft. I'm not usually a fan of shoestring fries, but I liked these. They had a bit of creepiness to the. Fries were also topped with seasoning salt. Food was out relatively quiclky. Diners are also allowed to order ahead. There are several sandwiches I am looking forward to trying. The Phillies and the Cali chicken sandwich in particular. For an additional $4, any sandwich may be made into a combo. (Added fries and drink.) We all opted for that option. They serve Pepsi products. Outta Bronx also does catering. A catering menu was included with my receipt. This was the 2nd time we've ordered delivery from here and we've been very satisfied with it both times. In today's order: I got the Reuben Sandwich which was served on lovely soft marble rye...so good. And, I really appreciate when a special request is fulfilled, I had asked for cole slaw instead of sauerkraut and it was delicious...thank you!! Hubby wanted something a little lighter today, so he got the Cilantro Lime Chicken Salad, which looked really nice. It had some veggies (along with the lettuce), marinated grilled chicken and avocado with a cilantro lime vinaigrette. He really enjoyed it. This is like a limited menu version of their other location. I did see any cold sandwiches on the menu at this location. Fortunately, all the hot sandwiches were 10 bucks and the Empire steak was well named and had good quality ingredients. They could have used a white cheese which would have been better than the Cheddar mix. But overall, if you let the thing cool down, it was quite filling and worth the 10 bucks.
