Was a little disappointed with our experience since the reviews are sooo good!! We ordered the chopped cheese sandwich, spicy chicken sandwich, steak fries and the fried pickles. The meat in the chopped cheese sandwich was dry and the sandwich was a bit small. The spicy chicken sandwich also wasn't great - the chicken was hard, not tender at all but the spicy sauce was good. Not a bad place to get takeout food. We ate in and the food was good but not great. The fries were on the limp side and the place was really hot. They don't look like they do much of a dine in experience. I had to ask to use the restroom which is behind the kitchen. It was clean but you could tell only men work there. Fantastic!!! When we pulled up to the parking lot, I wasn't sure about it as it looked to be a rather tiny place, but it actually has several tables to sit at. It's counter service and the menu is so fun - sandwiches, chicken wings, all these fun fries with different toppings, etc. I ordered a cold sandwich that was turkey with avocado and bacon and oh my goodness it was so, SO good. The sandwich had two types of bread - the top slice was sourdough, and the bottom slice was marble rye - such a clever idea! Everything was so fresh and flavorful! My friends ordered a Reuben and Chicken Wings - both also looked amazing and both of them absolutely loved their meals as well! Highly recommend this place! Staff was so friendly and helpful too! My first chopped cheese! It's become one of my favorite sandwiches. Love the vibes of this place.

The guy at the counter was friendly, informative, seemed very knowledgeable with the menu. The ambiance was cool, some mellow rock music with a few others eating. The bread and the hotdog on my sandwich were good, bread surprisingly fresh and tasty. The meat in addition to the hot dog not so much, the numerous sauces were too much. All in all I will come back and try again because the service and that bread, I need to try more and then I'll update but I feel potential :) read more

Tasty sandwiches, really good flavor but super salty. Even the side order of fries was salty. Prices are good for the sandwiches; they are pretty big. Bread is soft too. One order of fries is good for two people. My husband paid $30+ for two sandwiches and fries, not bad. We ordered take out and had the food at home. I had the empire steak without cheese and my husband had the Long Island, which was recommended to him at the restaurant. I tasted one bite of the Long Island and it was good, but REALLY SALTY. They need to go easy on the salt. We will probably try them again because the flavors are great and price is ok but we plan on asking for our food to be lightly salted. read more

Ordered the black and white and it had several issues. Suppose to be on sourdough and wheat bread hence the name. Mine was all rye bread. Comes with avocado and only 1/4 sandwich had any. The one bacon strip was also ridiculous. My wife's sandwich was correct and tasty. My sandwich while disappointing because it was made well still tasted fine. My husband and his family are from Brooklyn New York. So anything that says they are "New York" style we always have to try. My family and I were in town and craving a good sandwich. We saw that Outta Bronx was a quick 10 min drive from our hotel we knew we had to give this place a shot. We walked in and the place is a bit small prob about 6-8 tables and luckily they were not busy. We went to the counter and our server/cashier was so friendly. We weren't sure what to order and she helped us out. My kids split a hot dog/fries meal and my husband and I opted for the he shroomy Swiss and the Baja fries. I was so excited that our meals came out so fast. And let me tell you. This is so close to the food we get in New York it was ridiculous. I loved that the sandwich baguette was so soft but had a great crunch. The brisket mixed with the Swiss and mushrooms were to die for. And the Baja fries were also a suggestion. They were a bit spicy but so so good. I love a little kick to my good. Overall, this was the best restaurant we visited while we were in town and my mouth is watering writing this review right now. So, they were having a 2 for 1 special on UberEats on their 9-piece wing. I was at home and craving wings. That said, I can't comment on atmosphere/service. I've seen them pop up on Yelp and delivery apps before, so I figured, eh, okay. These wings are salty to the point of being inedible. I don't know what Buffalo sauce they're using, but they need to cut the salt at least by half. I can't even taste any other flavors in the sauce because the salt is so overpowering. It's like eating a wet piece of salted meat. Likewise, the fried pickle batter was way too salty. This is not good food. This is food that people whose diet consists of Hostess cupcakes and hot Cheetos would think is good. Will be requesting a refund through UberEats. I hate throwing away food, ESPECIALLY meat, and throwing away 18 wings makes me feel just awful. read more

Great little find for lunch! We stopped in on a quick work break and I ordered the cilantro lime salad. It was delicious! Topped with freshly grilled chicken and tons of peppers, avocado, corn, and other flavorful, fresh ingredients. The dressing was fantastic, too. My coworkers either ordered sandwiches or the same salad as me, and everyone was equally impressed. I heard the cheesesteak was great! Unassuming place that will wowwwwww your tastebuds!!! Baguette is so light, crunchy on the outside, soft and fresh on the inside, perfection! We tried the BBQ beef sandwich and Chicken Cali Chick, meat in both was juicy and flavorful. Came here to get some dinner after a long day of driving. The food was ready at the promised time which was good. Got a cowboy burger and a mushroom beef sandwich with large fries. The burger was not on a bun which was a bit surprising it was in a loaf of French bread. It was yummy for sure. The mushroom beef sandwich was good yet the meat was fatty. I pulled out several chunks of fat from the bites I took. The mushrooms were a bit scarce too. The fries were basic shoestring fries that were mostly soggy and not crisp. I love a good chopped cheese made the OCKY way and overall, I wasn't too disappointed. The steak was seasoned, pickles were crisp, perfect amount of mayo, and the bread was pretty damn good as well. I just wish there was MORE ya know? The size and serving just screamed chain restaurant to me. It didn't feel like I was getting a chopped cheese from a NY shop. Fried pickles were pretty good Couldn't complain. I loved the batter and it was seasoned really well. Fried pickles easily saved this for me. Idk, it just didn't hit the same like it did back home. Maybe my expectations were unrealistic but to call something as iconic as a chopped cheese a chopped cheese, it needs to adhere to the authenticity of the dish.
