The job was moving my 2-bd apartment to a storage facility in SF. They arrived within the promised window and texted me a 30-min heads up which was appreciated. They were careful with my belongings and the 3 man crew was FAST! Price wise, the quote I was given was about in the middle of the 5-6 quotes I received. I ended up paying $900 exclusive of tip for a roughly ~5 hour move. It was bittersweet to have to say goodbye to the bay after 10+ years, but the goodbye was made a bit smoother with the help of OVA. Ilya and dossan were fast to act and cautious with my belongings. I am honestly very impressed by their service. They also ensured my goods were wrapped properly. Ilya even went out of his way to help me fix my bed frame while I was setting up my bed in the storage. Overall would highly recommend. Note: they did charge for the time it took the movers to get to my San Francisco apartment. In total that was 45 mins. at my rate, (119 per hour), this means 90 dollars on top of the hours that it took from end to end Note: the charge is actually California mandatory overtime. Felix and Ruslan were amazing I would 1000% use them again. we had a narrow stairwell, so it took longer than they expected, but they worked so hard all day and barely took any breaks. They were great making sure everything didn't get damaged and took great care to wrap everything. They brought all the equipment needed including a TV box and padding for our appliances. They were so nice to even insist I didn't need to help. The price was also the best I found across multiple companies. Rostyslav, Rustem and Felix were my moving team. They did a great job! My elevator broke two days before and I called Valentyn to ask if they wanted to reschedule (with no estimated repair time for the elevator). He said his team could do it on the stairs (4 flights up and with additional stairs in the unit). Note, there were also stairs at my original place. They were super quick, got it finished in about 2.5-3 hours. It was a one bedroom + living and kitchen move. Amazing dolly skills on the stairs. Overall very happy, would recommend. Grabbed them a lunch as well since the stairs were an unexpected change. Would also recommended saving a parking spot at the original location to make their life easier! read more

Used OVA to move three large pieces of furniture from SF to San Ramon. Valentyn was easy and excellent in communicating. The crew arrived on time in SF (Felix and Garik) and called 20 mins prior, exactly as promised. My son met them in SF and was impressed by the thoroughness of the prep and packaging. I met them in San Ramon and they called about 15 mins out and again when they arrived. We walked the route (large senior living complex) and they got the 3 pieces unloaded, unpacked and in place in about 30-45 mins. Even my 88 yr old mom commented on how carefully the pieces were packed. They left no trace, were very polite and it all went exactly as planned. Prices was reasonable. A+. read more

We booked movers for a Sunday and were given an afternoon slot -- told they would arrive between 11am and 1pm. At 12:30 we had heard nothing so I checked in, and we were told they were on their way to us. After two more check in calls, the movers arrived at close to 3pm. I checked in on timing with the movers once during the move, when we were exceeding the originally scheduled estimated moving time, and was told it would be another hour before wheels up. Ultimately the furniture made it safely to our new place and our guys hustled (I'm told they skipped lunch to try to make up time, which we didn't ask for). *After* paying and tipping, I got a 5min+ lecture from one of the movers on why it was inappropriate of me to have checked in on timing earlier. I was told the company underquotes time in order to lock in customers and then the movers are rushed to meet unrealistic deadlines. This makes sense but is fundamentally not the customer's responsibility, and I'm unclear why I was being reprimanded for a clear intracompany failure. Our mover both referenced his many 5 star reviews as evidence of his hard work, and left by hard-selling us on a 5 star review. We were originally quoted $630 for the move, and with tip, paid over $1100. I would shop elsewhere. read more

Beware:: Uninsured mover I hired OVA movers (https://www.bizapedia.com/ca/oladko-llc.html and Valentyn Oladko) to move a refrigerator out of a dining room and into our kitchen after getting newly refinished floors done in the kitchen. After communicating over text and agreeing on $120 for the move, two movers showed up in an unmarked uhual and came upstairs to begin the move. I explained the situation about the kitchen floors and outlined the challenges of lifting / using straps to keep the floors safe. They confirmed they understood and proceeded to move the refrigerator and take huge chucks of drywall and wood out of my walls and door frames and ultimately damaged the newly refinished floor where it has to be redone. When I immediately provided evidence, the two movers said to call Valentyn and use his insurance. They then went out into the street and i began calling Valentyn, they came back up and offered to paint my doors and give me $120 back (which i refused). Valentyn and his partner called me on the phone and refused to give me insurance information and didn't believe the damage that was done. They personally come to my house while my family was eating dinner at 8pm that evening and inspected the damage themselves. They acknowledged fault but as we texted back and forth they refuse to submit to their insurance or provide any insurance info. They went so far as to ask me to pay the $500 deducible to begin the insurance process as the floor repair was estimated at $1,200 (no estimate on the wall and doorway repair as they continually promised to "have their repair guy" come and fix it but nothing has happened). The only explanation is that OVA movers is uninsured and running on such thin margins that they can't reasonably be trusted to operate in San Francisco. Marketplaces like Yelp are their lifeblood and their account is currently suspended for this incident on Thumbtack. Protect yourself, your belongings, and your home(s) by verifying their insurance otherwise Valentyn is going to be showing up late at your home and then ghosting you when you actually need help. Highly recommend! We recently moved from SF to Fremont and OVA Movers were great. They arrived promptly at 8am. They did show up in a uhaul, but it got the job done. We had 3 movers come to help with our 2 bed/2 bath apartment. We had most of the packing done and furniture disassembled and just needed help with the bigger items. 2 members of the crew started loading up the truck while the foreman started wrapping all the items very thoroughly. They got the truck loaded up by 10:30am. They did a great job overall and none of our items were damaged. The crew was nice and took great care of all of our items. From start to finish took 6.5 hrs including driving. Definitely will be using them again when we move and highly recommend. read more

I don't even know where to start. First, the owner Valentyn is absolutely amazing. We had a last minute move in San Francisco and Valentyn fit us in. I called on a Monday for a Friday move! He was kind, responsive and fast...texts were returned within 5 minutes. The move itself couldn't have gone better. Our movers, Alim and Sergio were such hard workers. And while our move was small, it was made more complicated by the upper storage space we were moving from, and the large apartment complex we were moving to. There was a lot of walking involved and these two men never complained, in fact, they were so kind and had the greatest attitude. They were so careful with everything...no damages, scratches, nothing. They were all business and got the job done fast. Also, people, TIP YOUR MOVERS!! This is such backbreaking work. And OVA Movers are already so affordable. So if your movers do the job well, make sure to tip them. We will be surely moving again in a year or two (son is in law school) and we will be using OVA again! I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone seeking a move, especially one in the city of SF, with all of it's crazy streets and parking issues, these guys got the job done PERFECTLY. And while the move was going on, Valentyn was still in contact. We moved out of our two bedroom condo in SF our belongings were going to two SF locations and the rest was out of state. They were on time, clean, organized, and really protected all of our belongings. For our out of state move, the guy came at 6 AM to accommodate our schedule that day (we had to leave at 8am to meet with builders). We really appreciated that flexibility, I know he was super tired because he was driving all night and only got a few hours of sleep. Their rates were super affordable too.
