SO good. Was just looking around for a sushi spot near a friends house and thank god I found Ozora. We got the tiger roll, spicy salmon hand roll, lion king roll, 49's roll, california roll, and the garlic edamame-- and lemme tell yall.... Everything was BOMB. The rolls are so thick and filling here. Definitely getting your moneys worth. The service was amazing as well. You get miso soup while waiting for your food. Everything was clean and the booths were so cute with the little pillows. I highly recommend trying this place out!! Family friendly. Even good for a little date. read more

Yelp says they close at 12am. We called around 11pm to confirm and they said they closed the kitchen at 11:15pm. We got there a little bit before that and said we'd order and eat quickly. As we sat waiting for our food, someone rushed in hoping to order for to go and they told him that the kitchen was closed. The guy pointed at us with no food served and said, "what about them?", the hostess looked at us and said, "I know, I shouldn't have let them in" which was so awkward since we didn't even get our food yet. After we rushed eating and asked for a to go container for our hot soup, we let them know that Yelp said they closed at 12am and we wouldn't have came, they confirmed that they closed at 12am. It was so uncomfortable to sit at their restaurant so we wanted to leave. Honestly, I would've respected if they told us over the phone that they were closing, so that we didn't need to rush, but instead they made us feel like such burdens. We would've totally respected it. Good food though, but very uncomfortable experience. read more

We finally tried out this place after passing by a dozen times . We went on a Saturday night it was pretty busy but only had about 10min wait . They have a really good selection if different rolls and raw bar as wells as bento & noodles . The good : Mixed tempura - good batter and aside from couple veggies are cut too big overall it was good Garlic edamame was delicious it had like a sweet garlic mix . Bento box with teriyaki chicken was delicious that chicken was really flavorful not overly sweet teriyaki sauce and was not dry . Miso soup was great . Orange head - absolutely delicious and is now my 2nd favorite rolls - that spicy salmon was perfect Not so amazing - Aloha roll - little bit dry ( tuna was fresh ) but with the rice was not impressed little bit of sauce wouldn't helped as least on the side Our waiter- we had to track him down every time we need to order or ask for for something, only time he really came by was to drop off the drinks and the check so we weren't impressed by his service read more

I love this place. The staff is amiable and patient, the food is great, and they make excellent recommendations.

The food is always tasty and I love the variety of sushi orders. It's refreshing knowing not all the rolls are filled with imitation crab or spicy tuna. The service is lacking especially by reminding the servers about a Sake order to Water refills and waiting more than 10 minutes to drop the check off. The wifey and I came for the happy hour menu which is from 10 pm to 12 am on fri and sat. The happy hour menu is very extensive with a wide variety of food including a good amount of rolls. My favorite of course was the 12 pc assorted sashimi and the fish was very fresh. This was also on the happy hour menu as well. Simply out this place has great food for a great price and the vibe was very chill and relaxing. They had a dj on saturday night and the music was awesome. This is one of my favorite spots to eat sushi. I really enjoy how the inside of the restaurant looks like it's very spacious but it's actually a decent size just the mirrors make it look like an allusion. The food taste amazing, and their service is always great. My favorite things to enjoy here are the cocktails made with soju. Super fruity and tasty. read more

We had a memorial service on a Saturday and needed 76 to-go Bento lunch boxes for the attendees. Ozora Sushi had no problem handling such a big order. The lunch boxes arrived on time at noon as expected. The order came in big see-through boxes, which was great since we ordered 5 different types of lunch boxes. This allowed the guests to choose the Bento box they wanted. The food tasted great, and the portions were big, much more than I expected for a bento box. For a 3 item Bento box, they placed one of the items in a separate smaller plastic container since the large container also contains a salad. Their salad dressing is excellent by the way. There is also a separate container for the miso soup as well. There were only a couple of things that didn't go that well. One was that the tempura sauce was stored in a separate paper bag (instead of inside the plastic container); this resulted in everyone eating the tempura without the sauce. It's chaotic when you have 76 lunch boxes on a table and people didn't know the tempura sauce was stored separately, and then later I found a bag containing 16 tempura sauces. I think the tempura sauce has to be squeezed inside the Bento box container somehow. The other thing was a huge chunk of wasabi and ginger was stored in 2 large containers separately, so everyone that wanted wasabi and ginger had to scoop out the wasabi and ginger from the shared container. This resulted in the line moving really slowly which wasn't good since we had to arrive at the cemetery by a certain time. I'd prefer the wasabi and ginger inside the Bento box instead so someone can just walk up to the table, take their Bento box, and go. Overall, I was very pleased with Ozora Sushi and would recommend them to others for large group events. read more

My first experience dining at this restaurant was average. Quick seating, average service, no traditional Japanese greeters yelling their usual Welcome greetings energetically (which slightly disappointed me), and beautiful dining area. We ordered their seaweed salad, teriyaki salmon w/ mixed tempura bento, chicken katsu w/mixed tempera & California roll bento combo, Dragon roll, and miso soup. I loved their seaweed salad with a thick white radish wrapping with mixed greens and tomatoes. The bentos have rice and salads as normal side dishes. The batter for both my chicken katsu and mixed tempura was made with a different taste...sorry, not a big fan of the taste/seasoning and its crispiness texture. The dipping sauce for the tempura tasted terrible...didn't meet my expectations. So I was unable to eat any of my tempura. I couldn't get myself to like the food quality. The only stand out was their salad, fancy plating, and warm house tea. No personal teapot served at tables...just waiting for servers to refill your cup. Thus, I honestly won't come back unless there's a family party. Personally the price outmatched the service and menu choices. read more

COVID Update (pre-Covid review below) We dined out last Monday night for the first time since March, and what a lovely experience it was. Ozora has created an outdoor dining oasis! We really appreciate the time, effort and care they've put into making their newly-created patio a comfortable and pleasant space to relax and eat. We were greeted at a host table equipped with a large dispenser of hand sanitizer and encouraged to use our phones to view the menu upon being seated (smart way to save on paper waste!) QR Codes for both lunch and dinner menus are easily scanned from placards on each table. The tables are placed at an appropriate distance from each other, and all staff wore masks at all times. We, as well as several other patrons we noticed, kept our masks on until our food arrived and replaced them when we were done eating. Three of us ordered bento, while one had a roll, and all of the food was delicious! The staff was attentive and so warm and friendly throughout our meal. We tipped generously and thanked the staff profusely for making this *wonderful* space for their guests to enjoy dining out again. read more

The Shiro Maguro was like butter and the Orange Head roll was a table favorite. The restaurant was completely filled soon after we were seated, but it was never too noisy. Sushi here was excellent! I had a Cali roll and the dragon roll and it was really amazing. Like no other sushi place I've ever been to.

Hungry for sashimi, nigiri and sushi rolls in the Concord area and saw the great Yelp reviews. Who you gonna trust? Yelp reviewers of course. Saw some nice Yelp pictures and knew what we were going to get until the Waitress made some fresh fish recommendations. New Bluefin Tuna arrival...yes, we'll go with your recommendation especially after hearing that you had some today and it was silky smooth and fresh. Ordered the Bluefin special: three slices of Toro Sashimi, five Nigiri, six pieces of chopped tuna roll which were all good. Also ordered the Nigiri of Saba and Tobitama and the Out of Control Roll which had lots of crunchy tempura topping. Service excellent as they checked on us at least five times. Although I wish there was more ice in the ice water.... So you're asking why not a five? Well, the sushi rice was a little overdone. My wife and I agreed that the rice seemed to be overworked, a gummy consistency as if the Sushi Chef had squished the rice too much in forming the Nigiri rice. In a club while having sushi. Pretty dank How did I end up here... well the story starts with going to the 626 Norcal Night Market. Drove 1.5 ti get there, 30 mins to find parking. Stood in line for another 10 mins to buy tickets, another line to get in. Finally in... well there were "100 vendors" but I do not think there were. The lines to get food... 2 plus hours. Got the fudge out so fast. Rant over.. and I AM SO GLAD I FOUND THIS PLACE They have happy hour after 9pm. In which for 10.00 you get a HUGE bowl of udon. I also ordered the 49er roll. Yum! Stopped here on our way home from Walnut Creek. This place is kinda hidden from the freeway in a more residential area. The service was good, they sat us down and had a big enough table for 9 which was very nice. They accommodated the bill Nicely and the sushi was very filling and good. The food at Ozora Suchi is pretty good. My daughter and I have had their lunch bento boxes and dinner plates. The lunch portion is small in comparison to other restaurant's I have been to in the area, so I will say that I find the price point at Ozura overpriced. The service at Ozura is hit or miss. I've had great service, but I've also had service that was not impressive at all! The ambiance of the restaurant is really loud, because the restaurant is visited by many patrons which is fantastic for business. Came here after some last minute grocery shopping. The wait for our food was longer than we anticipated considering they just opened up for lunch and only had a few parties seated. They open at 11:30 am and we probably arrived 10 minutes later. However, once our meals arrived (approximately 35 min wait!) the quality of our food definitely made up for the delay. Lunch specials here are yummy. Like most bento box combinations, you get miso soup and salad. I enjoyed the dressing which was both tangy and sweet. And I like how there are a few sushi roll and katsu options to choose from. The spicy tuna roll was tasty with just the right amount of heat. The chicken katsu was extra crispy and juicy. Unfortunately the sauce was pretty cold so it must have come straight out of the refrigerator. The pickled radishes were bright and refreshing to eat after bites of salmon or veggie tempura. The dining area is clean with a modern vibe. The pillows add a nice touch to the tables. And when you check in on Yelp, you get complimentary Mochi of your choice. We asked for green tea. The pleasant servers were always smiling and checked up on us often. There is ample parking since Ozora is located in the Oak Grove Plaza near Peet's and Wells Fargo Bank. I came here for lunch yesterday and ended up ordering pick up for dinner. Spent 200 dollar lol and it was worth every penny! All their rolls with crab are made with real crab! No extra charge. No imitation starch crap! Everything is heaven and here are some highlight: O Toro melts in your mouth. Big ass cut, 5 pieces per sashimi order but when I went back for dinner I got 7 pieces! Hehehe they use really good cut of toro! The soba noodle is awesome in flavor but my noodles were cooked too long and there were many small pieces of noodle, and I wish they were long noodles. And the tempura could have been cooked a little longer. Veggie mix and veggie swamp both are really good veggie rolls! My man love the veggie mix and I fell for the veggie swamp! Yum! Lion king has tons of real crab inside and you can tell they prob didn't even use canned crab, there's chopped crab claw meat inside the roll, wow!!! Unagi hand roll was bomb! Stuffed with tons of unagi! Not just 1 piece like other restaurant, this one has at least 3 pieces of unagi inside! It's worth every penny! Veggie udon to go came with 2 big jars! What! 2 jars? I can eat one for now and one for later! Packed with lots of veggie, wished the noodle were less cooked, it's a bit slimy and not chewy. The highlight is their sesame spinach, real Japanese eat this, and I have tried it many times at different Japanese restaurant. Every single place, even the good one make it with the miso sesame dressing, like the one you can get from Costco. But they make their sauce from scratch! When I got it I was like wth is this then quickly figured out it was Black Sesame sauce! Omg the sauce has real ground up sesame texture it was great! I'm saying greeeeeeeat in flavor! I'm not a big spinach fan but I love every bite of this healthy appetizer. Very very very reasonably priced. Heard they have a happy hour so I will definitely come back and try that!
