I used to come to PF Changs all the time, but in the last 6 weeks, they recently changed almost their entire menu to have sesame oil, which as a person with a severe sesame allergy, can no longer eat at this place, just because the company wants to cut costs. Also, the server was very rude when I was explaining my allergies. It's not just something I prefer not to eat, it is life threatening and needs to be taken seriously. This company needs to do better with accommodating peoples food allergies, and maybe you'll have more customers rather than turning people away so your business can save a few dollars. read more

The ramen was so good. The broth was amazing. Not over powering, yet very flavorful. I opted fir the shrimp and fried egg and I'm very glad I did. I would order this again in a heartbeat. The pad Thai was a bit spicy for my husband so if you are very sensitive to spice I would ask them to go light on the sauce. The chicken lettuce wraps were good. They said it was one of their best sellers. I could take it or leave it. They weren't bad. For the price, you should get more. Then we had the chocolate cake and fire and ice for desert. My husband and I came in for dinner last night. We had a gift card and figured it would be a nice dinner out while we were finishing up some last minute Christmas shopping. We were seated immediately, our waiter did fine. I have no idea what his name was, but his service was good. Nothing stood out as being good or bad. He was just ok. We ordered the lettuce wraps and egg drop soup for appetizers. My husband is a fanatic about the lettuce wraps. They were great. That was the best part of our meal. I ordered the chicken pad Thai and my husband ordered the pepper chicken. I've never tried the pad Thai, although it's a favorite dish of ours in Thai restaurants. Figured I'd try something new. That was a mistake! It had tofu in it, which had this mushy texture and it had a weird and strong vinegar taste and smell to it. I actually gagged trying to eat it. I wasn't thrilled. My husband offered to eat it, although thought it was gross as well. He just tolerated it better than I did. Our waiter arrives to check on things and I told him I hated my meal. Not that it was made incorrectly or there was anything wrong with it, I simply didn't like it. He was offering to have something else made, and that was great. Until the manager showed up and stuck her nose in it. She demanded (yes, demanded. I'm not exaggerating here) to know exactly why I didn't like my food. So much so that she literally listed off ingredients, demanding to know which one I wasn't happy with. This became an interrogation. It has fish sauce in it, is that your problem? It has tamarind in it, Is that your problem? This keeps going through a solid five ingredients. Then she wants to know what I do like. Finally I'm like, my husband will eat it and I'll eat his. Just leave my table. Don't worry about making anything else. Just go away. The interrogation is over. I've never been so sorry I said something about not liking a dish in my entire life. Finally we were left to eat in peace. I tried some of his rice. I loved that they have added fried rice to the menu and was looking forward to trying it. Until I got some egg shells in my mouth. I got a little extra calcium in my diet last night. But again, almost threw up from the texture in my mouth. I wasn't about to say anything this time, as I wasn't ready for another confrontation and interrogation by the manager. Once was plenty. At this point I was just over being here and wanted to leave. I had enough for one night and simply wanted to go home and eat something. It seemed to take the waiter forever to come back and bring us our bill. Then he offers dessert and then has to go get the check, seems like I'm stuck there being held hostage for another 20 minutes. I know it wasn't that long, but after the horrible meal, I just wanted to leave and get out of there. So the added time of him trying to up-sell dessert seemed even more annoying. They didn't offer to remove this horrible meal from our check or anything. I still had to pay for a meal that literally made me throw up in my mouth at the table, and 3/4 of it was left and sent back to the kitchen. Which would have been fine, if we could have skipped the ugly interrogation portion of this, or I could have had it replaced with something I do enjoy. That wasn't customer service. That was, let's embarrass a customer in front of everyone until they just keep the plate and force them to pay for it. Would I return? Not in the foreseeable future, no. When I do finally decide to go again, I certainly will not make the mistake of trying anything new on their menu. It will certainly be quite a while before my husband and I decide to return here. The chicken and shrimp lo mein was pretty tasty with a perfect balance of proteins and veggies...my only suggestion would be the celery spines were a bit too thick and not pleasant...the ambiance was okay; however, it could use some dusting around the booths and clean windows I give it three stars because of the lack of cleanliness. They are serving family meals for curb-side pick up, which is actually a great deal. We had a meal for 4 (which was enough for 3 people including a hungry male teenager): wonton soup, chicken lettuce wraps appetizer, vegetable chow mein, Kung Pra chicken, Mongolian Beef, white rice, brown rice. All that for a little less than $60 Food: kind of as expected at PF Chang: slightly under spiced and over seasoned Americanized Chinese food. The chicken for the lettuce wrap was good. The iceberg lettuce itself a little brow on the edges. The soup was excellent. The Mongolian Beef was a little chewy and not spicy. The Kung Pra chicken was the best of all the dishes, just don't expect a lot of spice unless you want to chew on one of the red little hot peppers hahaha. Chow mein had the best snow peas in it! The white rice was done well, the brown rice was plain awful. The curb side service was very well organized: you order it to be brought out at a certain time, and give them (online) the make and model of your car. The atmosphere was also nice. however, the food left a lot to be desired for the price, with most dishes being close to $20 each. I tried their new Pad Thai dish, and it was unfortunately incredibly bland, with no options to add any spice like sweet chili sauce or chili oil. the tofu in the dish was also undercooked. it would have been better if it had at least been a bit crispy. However it is a place geared towards families and large groups, so if you're flying solo be prepared to take a lot of food home. For the price of the dish, unfortunately the taste wasn't there. I had eaten at this restaurant about 5 years ago and had a good experience. Food was very good then. I didn't want to cook last night and thought I'd order take out. Decided Chinese sounded good and decided on P.F. Chang's. Ordered pork egg rolls, vegetable spring rolls, and sesame chicken with brown rice. Spent over $30 including 15% tip. Kind of a splurge but figured I'd treat myself. What a mistake I made... Order was ready on time, customer service was excellent. Was able to get in and out quickly. The problem was with the food itself. It was startlingly bland and uninteresting. REALLY bland. Egg rolls and spring rolls tasted exactly the same, even with the pork in the egg rolls, and the wraps on each had the texture and flavor of brown paper. The only distinct flavor in them was a kind of funky mushroom aftertaste... and I LIKE mushroom flavor, but this was not a very appealing mushroom taste. I dunked them in the dipping sauce which is the ONLY thing that had any interesting flavor. The sesame chicken was drowned in a sourish, sugary glaze that I can honestly say didn't taste a bit like sesame. To be fair, there were sesame seeds in the glaze, but they added no sesame flavor whatsoever. The chicken seemed properly cooked and fresh, but again, the glaze was so overpowering I couldn't taste any actual chicken flavor... at best, it tasted like a frozen TV dinner type dish. Just so incredibly disappointing. Look, I have had really good Chinese and Thai food before at other restaurants where each item is bursting with flavor and pleasing texture. This just fell so far short it was depressing. I ate the stuff because I was starving, but definitely feel like I got a very poor value for my hard earned cash. Why oh why didn't I just stick with one of the excellent Thai restaurants in town?! Restaurants like Ta Ra Rin, Tasty Thai, or Ubon Thai Kitchen, or ordered a to-go from Toshi's Ramen- whose Gyoza Japanese Dumplings absolutely burst with flavor and aroma! Oh, one other thing... their take out order packaging. DANG! They use tons of plastic. I did a double order of the egg rolls- two rolls to each order, and they packaged each order separately in a huge heavy plastic tub when they could have simply put all four in one. Another identical tub for the two little ol' spring rolls, and finally, another identical tub for the entrée. But the comical part is, they make you ask for the plastic forks and napkins and chopsticks, I suppose to make it look like they are reducing waste... maybe? IDK... I guess old style paper Chinese take out tubs are passé? I am giving two stars for this rating and it is ALL for the courteous, efficient serving staff. They were awesome. Went here today with my sister and I'm kinda disappointed. They changed their lettuce for the lettuce wrap, which doesn't go in my opinion. The other lettuce they used was much better. Haven't been here in years but I have always loved the food. Today I got the sweet and sour chicken and to be honest it wasn't that good compared to sweet and sour chicken I've had at other places. My dad got sesame chicken which was much better. We got spare ribs and crispy green beans for apps. Always a huge fan of the green beans. We used to only come here for happy hour apps and I still think thats PF Changs strong suit. I ordered a few different items and the worst was the Singapore Street Noodles. The whole time I was eating it I knew something was off. Then I realized there were cherry tomatoes and a citrus taste to the noodles - something I've never had before. I finally discovered a half of lime in the meal. This lime ruined the whole entree. If you like Singapore Street Noodles - go to Hong Kong on 17th & Williamette. They have the real deal. Plus, P.F. Chang's charges almost double per item when you order delivery! I'm a fan of the P.F. Chang franchise. You can go to pretty much any one around the country and have the same good quality food and service. This one in Eugene is not an exception. They do a nice job with social distancing during Covid. The menu was good and satisfied the tastes of everyone in our eclectic group. I am updating my review from several years ago. There was a few times it was hit, or miss since my two star review, and some other times where they have made some improvements to make me want to come back. Mostly when I have spaced the times out. I have always had good, to great service here. Some times they can be a bit slow. I am not sure why, because there has been times when it wasn't very packed, and it was very slow service. Another time the service was on point, and quick. Now for the food. When they first opened I swooned over this place, then there was a time I wouldn't step foot in the door because I had gotten frozen chicken in my lettuce wraps. I have come back several times since then, and will have to say the lettuce wraps are good, but I will complain about the size of them. They used to be a decent size, and now the pieces of lettuce you get are tiny. Good luck with your wrap! I still really like the Mongolian beef, even though I can't have the scallions they have with them. This is another dish that seems to have shrunk in shareable sizing. Kung pao chicken, same complaint. Size. Seems to have shrunk. Not trying to be a fatty Patty, but we used to come in, each pick a dish, and do like family style and share. We also used to like to take the left overs home. Can't really do any of this anymore. Doesn't really make it worthy of the price point. There are a few other things on the menu I enjoy, and I like that they have added new things, but dang! I hate the portion sizes. This may still cause me to stray away, and not be too much of a regular. I will have to say, they do have a great happy hour, and the staff was very attentive at the bar. The Asian pear mojito's are very yummy. They also have some of the best deserts. The fried banana's are my weakness, with the ice cream, and fresh berries. I almost forgot to write about the fried green beans that were on the happy hour menu. They were good, a little on the greasy side. Good none the less. Still would get them again. Not where we initially planned to dine, but a great choice. I've not been to PF Chang's in years as I wasn't fond of the loud atmosphere. It was difficult to hear your conversation over the conversations happening at the tables next to you. We entered the restaurant and found the atmosphere immediately inviting. We were greeted and seated immediately. I'm sure there were less tables due to Covid restrictions; however, it was wonderful. You could hear pleasant music playing in the restaurant and you could actually carry on a conversation without raising your voice. If you've not been for this reason, now is the time to go. Although, I really hope they keep the dining set up as is. As for the food...delicious. We ordered the appetizer sampler which came with vegetable spring rolls, edamame, pork dumplings and crab wontons. I'd never had edamame. It was good once I was told you should pop the beans out of the casing. The casing is quite chewy. Our main entree consisted of Chang's spicy chicken and Crispy honey chicken. We ordered white rice and fried rice (upcharge) to go with our entrees. Both entrees were very good. My husband didn't think the spicy chicken was too spicy; however, it's one of those things that slowly builds in your tastebuds. Dessert was bao donuts with miso-caramel and chocolate dipping sauces. I now it's a chain, but I'd never been in one, so we checked it out for lunch. The decor is lovely, and the servers were fun!! We'd just walked out of another restaurant because of terrible service, so it was an excellent upswing. The hostess was fantastic and stylish with a great attitude, I loved our waiter, everything came out easy and fast, and they were very nice about the gluten free aspect of our meal (which is a relief for those of us who hate that we can't eat like everyone else). The food was better than I expected, still americanized and palatable for the masses, but they manage to put together a menu that's tasty and interesting, even the much smaller gluten free version. This is the lime that was on the side of my mai tai glass . I would expect for the price of $10-$12 I wouldn't get a dried out rotten lime slice, I couldn't believe it, I wondered if it was candied but it wasn't! Our servers kept changing randomly, not to bad but very strange how first a so-called manager was serving us like we were to feel special and then we get a drink like that. One server kept walking over and talking to a man sitting at a table with a laptop, I don't know who he was but he wasn't eating or drinking but the waitress gave him way more attention then the paying customers.
