I gave PF changs a second chance and happy I did. This is my second time back in a month. The bartender, Kasey at PF Changs is awesome. She makes the best drinks and is so sweet and attentive! The food has also improved and is not as salty as it had been in the past. I am putting this in my rotation of HH places. read more

We came here the other night for dinner and put our name on the wait list. We were told it would be about a 15-20 minute wait which was fine but long and behold we got a text not even 10 minutes later saying to come back to the desk our table was ready. We parked our stroller downstairs and then were taken upstairs to be seated. The ambience is beautiful and being this was our first time we didn't know what to expect. Our waitress was probably the best part of the experience she had asked us if we've been to a PF Changs before and then went over the menu with us and pointed out what items were specific to only the Hawaii location which was nice. I will say I wish there would have been more veggie options but there were a few. I decided to just go with sushi. I ordered the rainbow roll, my husband went with the peppered steak and paid the up charge to get fried rice vs regular rice, both my boys went with the chicken and rice with a side of fruit. Oh and we had gotten tempura calamari. I've never had them like that but they were cooked perfectly and were the highlight of the meal. Overall service was terrific, food was good but nothing I'd have to go back for especially with the prices I personally don't feel like they match what you get, but hey it's a chain and you're paying for the name. read more

The food was ok, nothing special, not worth the money. The service is really bad. We waited in line coming here twice for over 30 minutes, while half of the restaurant was empty. The people at the front couldn't care less, really bad customer service, they couldn't care less about their customers. The worst experience I have had in a long time. It is also in the center of Waikiki so there is lots to do before or after or if you have to wait. The food is what gave this place a 3 star. The price is not that low so you expect a higher quality of food. The rice lacked flavor and the beef and broccoli was nothing special. The tequila drink I got was nice but was a little weak. The food seemed reasonably good. The highlight was the kids food menu which was authentic but also had an option for picky children. For example that chicken bites had the honey on the side. The lo mein didn't have any vegetables and it was just chicken and noodles. Overall a good experience. I would say that either we didn't order enough for the portions seemed slightly smaller than the previous PF changs we've been to. The staff was super accommodating to our crazy children. read more

I dined at P.F. Chang's for lunch today for their "Sneak Preview" service. This event was offered for friends and family of those working at P.F. Chang's. The restaurant will officially be reopening in the Royal Hawaiian Center on Tuesday. I came here with my boyfriend and his family. Although their "Sneak Preview" menu had limited options, there was plenty to choose from. For our appetizer we chose the Tempura Calamari. The calamari was good, not too oily, and came with a delicious wasabi aioli. We ordered the Asian Caesar Salad with Chicken for our side. For my entrée I had the Ginger Chicken with Broccoli. The meal was light, sautéed in a nice sauce, and came with a lot of ginger. My boyfriend and his family ordered Chang's Spicy Chicken, Mongolian Beef, and the Oolong Chilean Sea Bass. Although we all ordered our own entrées, we shared everything family style. My personal favorite was the Oolong Chilean Sea Bass. The fish was delicate, sweet, and the spinach that came with it was tasty. Each entrée comes with your choice of rice--fried rice, white rice, or brown rice. For dessert we all shared the Banana Spring Rolls which simply is banana lumpia with ice cream. The interior is stunning--bold, bright, with breathtaking murals. I loved the layout, which was both spacious and airy inside and outside. Service was exceptional, we were helped by numerous servers. Everyone was friendly and we were checked on constantly. The food and drinks also came out promptly. I've been to P.F. Chang's in the past but today was an unforgettable experience. Everything I had was phenomenal and I can't wait to come back! Wow what a disappointment. There non-stop email campaign is a joke. The food quality has become only a slight step above what you can buy in the frozen food section of Target. Their all day happy hour is only if you sit at their tiny bar and isn't really that great to start with. I went on a Friday night in busy Waikiki and the place was half empty. Oh, I don't even know where to begin. It used to be a franchise and now it's corporate owned, so forget everything you knew about this location, it transformed into something entirely different. New management and top of the line chefs make all the difference! I went for soft opening on Monday night (Labor day) and it was truly one of the best dining experiences I've had in years. Every single dish and drink tasted like heaven, the service was top notch, I can't think of any single thing that could make my experience better. They did a huge amount of work redecorating the place, it looks very upscale, clean and modern. I already made my next reservation for this Friday and so did other patrons I met tonight, so you better hurry up and reserve a table before they sell out! I have never been a fan of P.F. Chang's. The last time I was there, they were still located at the Ward location. That was probably 12 years ago. I have never been to the one in Waikiki. That should tell you how much I didn't care for it. I'm a Chinese food snob, and prefer the authentic over American fusion. However, Paul C. posted a review and tons of pics of the place. I saw his pic of the whole fried Thai snapper and I had to have it. Unfortunately, it's no longer on the menu. Boo! However, they had this new dish, Hunan lobster and shrimp on garlic noodles. OK, that caught my attention. I ended up ordering that. It's a spicy dish, but I got it in mild. The hubby ordered sweet and sour chicken and son got the crispy honey shrimp. All three entrees came with either white or brown rice. We ordered the lettuce wraps and Chang's ribs for appetizers. For dessert, we had the fried banana lumpia with pineapple and coconut ice cream. Everything was phenomenal. I couldn't get enough of my lobster with the garlic noodles. The shrimp my son ordered was yummy. The ribs and lettuce wrap were delicious. This place also gives out a cool, zen kind of vibe. The restaurant decor is absolutely stunning. It has indoor and outdoor seating. Our server was attentive and checked on us many times. I have been surprised at the lack of lines out of the door with the awesome location, but was grateful when we decided to come at prime time Sunday night. There was lots of seating at the bar, so we sat there. The bartenders were attentive and friendly. Chicken lettuce wraps (their signature appetizer) are amazing (and free with a yelp check in!) I love their hot and sour soup, which isn't too thick and perfectly sour. I tried the Poke salad, which wasn't too impressive sadly. Their was a small amount of poke for an entree salad and a whole lot of cabbage/slaw mix. Overall, it was tasty. My husband loved his kimchee fried rice. Portion size was huge! read more
