Beautiful modern decor , New Chef and New Menu . I was happily greeted and welcomed by Nina ( lead Host ) Nina was so personable and knowledgeable on the Re- opening of P.F. Chang's . They have beautiful indoor and outdoor seating . Nina chose a beautiful table on the 2nd floor lanai which over looks Waikiki . So peaceful and serene As I enjoyed my dining experience. The deep Red accents in the Restaurants brings a brightness and modern ambiance at P.F. Chang's Dylan was my server so personable and had much Knowledge of the New Menu . Dylan had many recommendations as well . I started with a delicious cocktail called Rising Dragon created by By Amber ( mixologist) ....pomegranate, lime , agave margarita and rosemary accents . Highly recommended. I ordered the Mandarin Oriental salad was so flavorful, fresh and light . Perfect for a warm Hawaiian day . PF Chang's in Waikiki is a classic example of a chain restaurant gone bad. Or at least has lost the freshness and quality of Asian food. The Mongolian beef was super hard and crunchy but the sauce tasted good. Just seemed like no care took place to produce really good food. The green beans and the asparagus were both super soggy and heavy with sauce. The fries were soggy and overwhelmed with sauce as well. However the chicken noodle soup was excellent with terrific flavor and tasted fresh and the service was really great as well. And the chicken lettuce wraps were good as well. But overall i probably won't be back even though checking into PF Chang's on Yelp gave me a free appetizer- just not really worth it. No longer a fan like I used to be. read more

Price point is high for Chinese food. Lobster shrimp noodles had a good amount of lobster and shrimp meat, but the noodles were like instant ramen and very oily. Honey chicken was tasty, but pretty small portion for $20. The asparagus, pork dumplings, and lettuce wraps were all decent, but not mind blowing. Christmas dinner reservations at Pfchangs and the place is totally full. Upstairs and downstairs so full of chatter and good cheer during this holiday. Hoping they didn't give away my table since we are 15 minutes late. Parking garage also pact and went up to 5th level to find a spot. Spotted Zoey serving at the exterior lanai umbrella seating. So very kind to give me a hug. Glad to see him safe and back again after his month long trip. Make sure to ask for Zoey for 5 star experience. Omg thank goodness Paris shows up at hostess booth to save us. No they did not give away our table yay!!! Ugh, huge lines outside. Yes, upstairs seating and catching escalators up. No tripping on any stairs tonight. Wow, loudest ever at Pf tonight with soooo much customers. Dillan our super friendly server took our drink orders and I hurriedly gave our food order too. No dilly dally tonight if you want food asap. Drinks and round of ice water came out lightning fast. Wet ribs is different this time with extra tangy plumb sauce we are not accustomed to. 3 stars Sushi same as usual mushy rice meh 3 star, mahalo,aloha and pf roll. Fried prawns over fried noodles were great and fantastic textures/flavors 4stars. 2 orders of oolong seabass, 1x under done and raw in center yuck! 1x perfectly cooked but lacking in sauce. 2 stars Sent fish back to be redone and came back overcooked. Yuck Surf and turf was the "unexpected winner" chef added the infamous "wok hee" we look for in Chinese cuisine. A High fire smoky flavor you get with cast iron cooking. Hard to find in Hawaii. 5 huge gold stars. Dillan our server tonight was friendly and on point. Another 5 shiny stars for him. I honestly would have never ventured here if it wasn't for the $75 gift card I received. All the food I tried was just ok, I feel like you could get better quality Chinese food for cheaper. Although, the dish I liked was the Mahi Mahi, which they cooked exceptionally well (and tasted very fresh). It is served it with long grain rice (I think) with a very tasty sauce with cilantro. They give a big portion. I also liked the poke crisps which had excellent flavor, this was on the happy hour menu. Unfortunately I didn't enjoy the other food we got. Coconut curry shrimp: the curry tasted sour and pretty bland. I only ate a couple bites. Spicy chicken: this tasted like frozen Chinese sweet and sour or orange chicken. It is fried and tossed in sauce, but it got soggy and didn't have any crisp to it. Crab won-tons: very small portion with little filling, we didn't care for the sauce which had an unusual taste. Firecracker chicken: the firecracker sauce had an overpowering mustard taste and the breading was soggy and chewy. I didn't really taste the chicken at all. $45 for marinated sea bass! presentation was bad with spinach "burned" with oolong marinade. a heap of fresh spinach looks nice all by itself. oolong flavor was too subtle for me & my $45. i think sea bass is a frozen fish which means low price, except for restaurant diners . . . . Singapore noodles were too salty, esp. at the end. i told my waitress that i got straight A's in school (a lie), but i can NOT take salt OUT of your dish. i can add salt at my table, but no condiments were on the table. lettuce wraps came with teeny pieces of lettuce, unlike my last visit here. the flavor is something you can do at home with hoisin sauce. eating with one's hands is not healthy -- and it's avoidable with one's menu selections or washing up before eating, something rarely done. how's ya immune system functioning? read more

Some things were tasty... I really liked the combination fried rice, tempura shrimp and the sushi was interesting if you really like Smokey food. I didn't have a bad time here but a lot of the foods were bland or tasted weird like the soups. The salmon was meh. Those noodles were disgusting though. I would say steer clear of them it's this will be my third time trying them so I give up lol. The people working there are kids still learning how to act with customers and since over worked front of the house and I was a chef I get the pressure and stress. However. There was 2 people out front when I walked up and I wasn't even greeted the 2 people awkwardly stood there like they didn't know what to say. Than I sat down with my partner and my server and he seemed tweaky. I had to keep telling him "we're good don't come back for awhile" but he kept coming back and awkwardly asking how we were. I was like dude it's cool go chill somewhere and he would just pop back up. I told him twice we didn't want dessert... I mean look at all the food we had and we needed time to eat it and I like to be interrupted as little when I'm on a date. On top of that some other servers were so loud talking in the back and coming out the kitchen cackling loud and obnoxiously. People need to tighten up there. When you're at work you should be working and if you are going to have your fun don't act that way in front of customers and do it in the back ... and don't be loud as hell about it. Can't go wrong with Chang's! This location is fantastic in Waikiki, 2 levels with 2 nicely positioned lanais for outdoor dining. Love that they take reservations too! Went for dinner on our family vacay just before Christmas. Ordered the legendary chicken salad wraps, prawn bok choy, sweet & sour chicken, pineapple chicken, vegetarian fried rice and chow mein to share amongst 4 of us. All delicious and large portions. In fact, we had enough to take home for lunch the next day. Our server was outstanding. Exceedingly friendly, personable and efficient. Even recommended some other good restaurants and spots to see on the North Shore. Never fails to satisfy. Multiple foodgasms were had and enjoyed! My boyfriend was craving Chinese food, and for some reason, he wanted to try P.F. Changs for the first time. We went for our 2nd anniversary on a Friday night. PARKING: You can park at the Royal Hawaiian Center. It can be a bit hard to find, but as you turn down Royal Hawaiian Avenue, it's on the right-hand side, up the ramp. The first time I came to the Royal Hawaiian, I parked where the Sheraton guest parking was, because I thought that was the parking for the shopping center, and ended up paying like $12, so make sure you don't make the same mistake I did! We found parking reasonably fast. I'm not sure what the rates are, but we ended up not paying anything! I'll explain why below. FOOD: Since it was the two of us, and I don't eat that much, we decided to get three things to share: the pork dumplings, spare ribs, and crispy honey chicken. Pork Dumplings: 6 handmade dumplings with a sweet chili sauce. You can either get them pan-fried or steam. We got them pan-fried. They were good, and I like the sauce it came with, but it wasn't anything special. It also wasn't hot, which is weird because they should be if they were just taken off the pan. Chang's BBQ Spare Ribs: 6 Ribs with a tangy Asian barbecue sauce. I wasn't a big fan of the ribs, and I think it was because of the sauce. It tasted a little funny to me, but my boyfriend happily enjoyed them. I think it was one of those things where the flavor is not to my liking, but I'm sure it tastes delicious to everyone else. However, it was more so that they gave us 4 ribs, not 6 because 2 of them had barely any meat on them. Crispy Honey Chicken: I liked the chicken the best, and it was fried perfectly. I also thought the sauce wasn't too overpowering. It pretty much reminded me of Panda's Express orange chicken except a more subtle flavor. EXPERIENCE: The food came out super fast like scary fast. I would say it took about 10 minutes for all three things to come out. I thought it was a mistake, but it was our order. I mean, you can't complain about food coming out quickly, but I've waited longer at take-out places for my food. It was also fairly busy, too, because it was a Friday night. I'm not sure if it's because some of the food is frozen or premade. That's why we didn't have to pay for parking because we were there for less than an hour! Our server was friendly, but a bit soft-spoken, so it was hard to hear what she was saying at times. Overall, I thought the place was okay. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't amazing. My boyfriend was bummed, but I honestly didn't have high expectations in the first place. I came during my Hawaiian vacation and I know I should've tried something local but we were starving and this was walking distance from our hotel and there was no waiting even though it was lunchtime. I was already thinking it would be a bad experience, however, I left very pleased with the outcome. I ordered the changs spicy chicken and egg drop soup, chicken was great but my soup needed a little more seasoning. We were sat at a table with bird droppings on the chairs so we asked to be seated upstairs, however we were seated at a table at the top of the stairs in the path of a lot of foot traffic when there were plenty of open booths. The waitress was very flat and did not check on us very much to see if we needed anything like refills etc. Somehow my entree was not added, and I had to wait for the kitchen to cook it. We checked in Sunday night at about 7:00pm with the hostess . We waited about 20 Min. To be told to go upstairs for seating. Lots of tables open on the first floor inside and outside ( our preference) . We were seated inside under an AC vent. I went over to the hostess on the second floor and politely asked to be moved as there were several tables open outside , only to be told NO! . We are too busy , but several tables are open . She told me to go back down and wait to get seated. We decided to not switch but it Ruined our experience. The food was delicious, service was great. The servers do a very good job in serving us. I rarely had a bad experience from them. This is not authentic Asian Fusian food. But it comes close to it. It appears PF Chang's attracts many people here - tourists and locals alike. As for the food, I usually order the Buddha Vegetable Delight. For drinks I pair the order off with a Pepsi. The portions look fair. Unfortunately, rice does not come along with the order so you need to order it. When you check into Yelp, it offers a free appetizer. So take advantage of the free offer! Come for the relaxed atmosphere. On the first floor the bar, you can sit and relax by watching sports on the TV screen. I recommend this place. Bring your friends, date, and/or family here. No one ever even came to ask us for a drink order after ten minutes and the two hostesses at the front were pretty clueless who are server even was. Tonight Pamela was our server. She did a great job from start to finish. Got us waters right away, asked if we'd like anything else to drink, and started an appetizer for us. My daughter ordered a drink and didn't care for it, so Pamela got her something else. Felt the same about that drink, so Pamela took it off for us. Food came out fresh and hot, and tasted great.
