My first and last time EVER eating here. I door dashed PF changes tonight and the total for these two items were $60. I'm aware DD over charges to make the profit but for $60 I thought the food would be delicious. Both items were EXTREMELY greasy. The Mongolian beef barely had anything in it. Just tasted like eating a bowl of oil. Dont go here. If you're down for late night chinese food since everywhere else is closed just go panda. read more

We have tasted many different dishes on our many visits here, but of particular standout for our tastes is the Mongolian Beef and Orange chicken. The lettuce cups for pupus is a great choice. Our very favorite is the Sea Bass. A thick cut of fish slow cooked and made with a savory sauce. It takes a while to cook so order it when you are seated and it'll come out in a timely manner. The service is consistently friendly and efficient. The food comes out very quickly no matter how busy the restaurant is. read more

I brought my son and husband here for an impromptu meal. It is in downtown Waikiki and there is a parking garage near the restaurant. We came for lunch and got right in for seating at an outside table. We started with an appetizer of lettuce wraps and for our main meals we had the combo fried rice and the mongolian surf and turf which is served with white rice. My son has a big appetite so we ordered him 2 kids meals. One was the chicken fried rice and the other was the lo mein noodles. He loved the chicken that came in with the noodles. My husband was able to order his combo fried rice spicy and loved it. It was a huge serving and we had some left over to take home. The Mongolian surf and turf was really great, I just wish it came with 2 scoops of rice instead of one. My son also had the triple chocolate happiness mini dessert which was so good and the perfect size. The drinks were good also, margaritas and the blueberry mojito. Service was a little bit slow for how slow the restaurant was while we were here but overall it was a great meal and we will definitely be back. read more

Great experience here. We made reservations prior to arriving, which made our wait time zero. The vegetarian options are excellent. Basically, we looked at the menu and asked Zoe, our waiter, if what we wanted could be made how we needed it made (not spicy, and vegetarian) and he confirmed yes. We ordered Buddha's delight, vegetarian fried rice with extras, the veggie lettuce wraps and the vegetarian egg rolls. Zoe informed us the veggie lettuce wraps are just slightly spicy for those who might want to know. But the meal was excellent and the service was fantastic. Dipping sauce was mediocre. Lettuce wraps - still their signature dish for a reason. I'd walk 500 miles for these (but not 500 more...they're not THAT good). Walnut shrimp - meh, it's OK. The staff was awesome, and again, there was not one frown in the building. I definitely will eat prior to leaving, the barista knows how to make a drink, and keeps them coming. I forgot that this place is pretty good for a late lunch @4pm the happy hour start and I'm not a drinker but the food on the happy hour menu was a must to try. We tried 5 things out of the happy hour menu that range from $5-$14. My guest and I were very pleased and super full. I definitely recommend it for happy hour menu. Our 2nd visit here this week. We had a family birthday dinner on Sunday and really enjoyed the entrees we had; the steamed Asian style Chilean sea bass and the lemon grass mahimahi with cilantro rice were so good we really wanted to have them again. Tonite after a day of shopping at Ala Moana we were going to go to Chai's but they were booked till 8pm so decided to go back to PF Chang's. The food again was just as great as the first time. The reason for rating only 3 stars was the service was okay but definitely could use improvement. To start, I ordered a Kettle One on the rocks with a lemon twist but it came with a lime wedge! I told my server it was wrong so he brought me a twist from the bar and left me to put it in myself. I used the Yelp check in and got a free appetizer so I showed that to my server and ordered the seared ahi. The ahi was great but it was charged on my bill so I had to have the server take it off. In between the service wasn't slow, just a bit inattentive. Overall, food was an A- and the service was a C- but I would still go back. read more

Monday evening seated a little before 8 at a nice size corner booth.  Dinner with close friends and celebrating Pauls bon voyage hoorah before he ships off.  Excited to get the usual 10 to 12 dish dinner course.  Tasted almost everything PF has to offer and know exactly what to request from Krull  our server tonight.   Walking through the hall on second level and noticed that every seat was filled.  What the?  It is packed full of people tonight,  inside again every seat was taken. Unusual big crowd? Talked to Paris the friendly manager and he said it was due to the Sheraton  hotel strike next door. Food shortage from neighboring restaurants drove tourist to eat elsewhere.  Tip: make reservations in advance to save on wait time.  After being seated, ordered a round of ice water,  lava flow and an Arnold Palmer both virgin style. I'm allergic to alcohol and Krull informed me that the Arnold Palmer does not contain any alcohol. He never heard of anyone ordering it that way. Okay so I'm ignorant- what evz.  Negative vibe from the start?  My imagination?  What stoicism and negativity is this? Hoping his obvious irritation would disappear. Was he not a server? Perhaps he is a floater bus boy and irritated I ordered drinks from him and it's not his job. Drinks came quickly and happy about that.  Where is the double wall souvenir cup? Krull said they are all out.   Oh no!  Asked and he said he has been with PFC for about 5 years now. Wow, time to exit with that bad vibe. Krull looked so put off with a lousy attitude.  Whaa? Stoic, looking away, just hating his job.  Must be stressed with crowd tonight but this is a dinner celebration and we dont need frowns or a bad attitude. Very unprofessional conduct. You had to be there to experience this bad vibe. The look on my friends faces was a little stunned. Bff told me Krull is acting like a hole of @kole.  Gf cringed and said yeah. (They used bad words but editing this for yelp) Dont worry I told them I know how to give it back. Questioned why are we dealing with hostility. This place is not cheap and we have never expected the server to be so crap. 1 star   Sure enough Paris came to save the dinner.  Totally different vibe from Paris.  He is very calm, cool, friendly and welcoming.  We would have moved to a different section far from Krull if it wasn't so crowded tonight. Krull came back saying he put in our sushi order. Informed us we should be grateful ( not in those words) he put in our order before the table next to us,  we should have been made to wait since they were seated first. We just looked at one another shaking our heads.  Wth Paris probably had a talk with our server.   Krull did a 180, became really nice and personable.   We all noticed a complete Change in demeanor. Wow never seen that before.  What happened to the cranky guy?  Rest of the evening was tops.  Food probably best out of all the other nights we ate at PFC.  Krull really proved himself, terrific.  No not coming back to his section ever. Dual personality a highly functional bipolar experience we had tonight. Hand to the face. Dessert: 4 jar sampler Bowl of fruit Raspberry sauce Vanilla ice cream bowl Soo good, we ordered another set.   Thanks Paris for fixing everything! Coming again next week or 2. Food was good but customer service was pathetic. We had to call server multiple times to get us water, then refill the tea and even for the bill. We waited 20-25 min after finishing our meal to wait for our server. Then some other server was courteous enough to refill water and find our server. Once our server came, she wasn't apologetic for this and told she was helping bartender downstairs. After asking did she forgot us? she was like no I can get ur bill now. On our recent visit to Honolulu we decided to try all new restaurants! On March 3rd we were delighted to have been seated on the patio and enjoy the outdoors while dining. Our server, Brianna, was very attentive, made some suggestions as this was our first time dining at PF Chang's. We started out dinner with Spicy Green Beans and Edamame. Our entrees were Kung Pao Chicken and Mongolian Beef with fried rice. Everything was delicious! The portions were very generous and Brianna provided microwaveable containers to take to our hotel. Highly recommend this restaurant as prices were very affordable. We will definitely go back again :) read more

The staff were very nice and well behaved. We already knew what we wanted. When our server appeared with trusty menus in hand. We declined and ordered: 1 x Chicken Lettuce Wraps 1 x Kim Chee Fried Rice. 2 x cold waters. Our food came out the same time as our waters. Wow, that was quick. The Lettuce Wraps were and have always been excellent. The Fried Rice, also, excellent. Our server was very attentive and checked on us several times. All in all good food and good service. So our staycation was filled with horrible experiences, reaching from the Hilton Grand Waikikian, to our dining experience here at PF Changs. We had made an 8:00 reservation on Dec. 28th and seated at 8:15 pm. We didn't mind the 15-minute wait, which wasn't a big deal in the whole grand scheme of things until you look at the whole night that we spent at the restaurant! 1. Seated at 8:15, and our server finally came to pick up our drink order at 8:37. 22 minutes without even water or a hello. At the same time as our drinks, we also put in a fairly large appetizer order as we knew it might be a while since it was busy. but then again, it's always busy so they should have been staffed and prepared for this time of year. 2. The drinks arrived 25 minutes later, and one was not what we had ordered. It was supposed to be a dirty martini but it was just a regular martini and a champagne glass! 3. Twice, the expediters tried to deliver us appetizers that weren't ours. In hindsight, we should have taken them! When our appetizers actually did arrive, it had already been 40 minutes! So now it's 9:15 and we haven't even ordered dinner yet! So we put in our dinner order at 9:15. 4. At 9:57 we finally receive our dinners. In-between time of course we finished our drinks but the server never came to ask and follow up on how our appetizers were, nor to ask us if we would like a refill on our drinks! 5. We finishwd our dinners by 10:30 and it took another 20 minutes to have our server come by and ask if everything was okay. Well we're finished with dinner so what does it matter now after it's all done? It took her another 10 minutes to get the check so by now it's after 11! Mind you, we were there for our dinner reservation at 8 p.m.! It had been 3 hours that we sat there! Did our server apologize for bringing the wrong drinks and offer to take one of the drinks off? No. Was there any apology offered for how long we sat there before she arrived to greet us and get us drinks? None. Was there any explanation or apology given to us for having to sit there for three hours for dinner? None. We asked to speak to a manager but cancelled after 10 minutes because we knew we weren't going to get one. It was three days after Christmas, and yes it is during the busy season, but a 3 hour dinner is ridiculous! We went to Ruth's Chris the night before and were only there for an hour and a half! PF Chang's knows better! That was the poorest customer service we've ever received and probably won't be referring our friends there. We have many friends that come visit monthly and PF Chang's is not going to be on the referral list after our 3 hour dinner! Although we do live here on the island, we now know this is not going to necessarily be one of our choices or options when we come to Waikiki! Just left this place 30 minutes ago. First the wait staff we dealt with are so phony and patronizing. I told one waitress that and she said "oh that's the way I am". The wait staff and the manager, Caroline need to grow some balls. Caroline could not even come out and talk with us about our lousy experience so she sent another 'manager', after we waited about 15 minutes to speak with a manager about our horrible experience. Second, They appear to have their favorotie customers... why else would all the tables around us get their food so quick! I ordered waygu beef and three other items--California roll, Combo rice and combo noodles--three simple items but yet took forever. The worst part--we were already half way done with all 3 other dishes before we got the beef. When I got the beef it was less then warm and short of being raw when I ordered it as 'medium'. The waiter, Garrett was subpar, forgot to bring water and seemed to care less about the entire $47 beef fiasco. Most places that screw up willl send a manager to your table--not here! First time trying a P.F. Chang's despite living on the mainland for the last 12 years, and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food! My son had been craving Pei Wei lettuce wraps that he loved back in VA but with no PW in Hawai'i we opted to try PFC's version. Parking on a Saturday afternoon was easy in the attached Royal Hawaiian garage - the entrance is the first one on the right immediately after you make the turn off Kalakaua onto Royal Hawaiian Avenue. It's easy to miss, and the sign above it says Guests / No hotel validation - which is a little confusing because you're thinking "hotel guest" but another sign on the left of the entrance indicates that it is referring to the shopping center guests. Because I had never been there, I called ahead and asked to reserve seating, which my son later ridiculed me for because he said it wasn't that kind of restaurant. Whatever. Anyway, the nice woman who answered the phone sounded puzzled about reservations, but when I asked about it she said, oh I can seat you at a good booth so you can at least see outside (it was raining). That was a great customer service touch. Once seated, our waiter was friendly and attentive. The highly anticipated lettuce wraps satisfied my son's craving, although he said the sauce at PW was more 'subtle.' I'm not fluent in teenage boy so I'm just guessing he thought the sauce used to cook the ground chicken was a little strong. I liked it, but was a little disappointed that the crispy rice noodles were a little stale. The iceberg lettuce leaves were fresh and crisp, though. The Shrimp with Candied Walnuts were awesome - I've had them as Honey Walnut Chicken at other restaurants, and PFC adds a great twist to theirs: honeydew melon. At first I thought the pale green balls were steamed brussels sprouts and was surprised to bite into something sweet. I'm not even a fan of honeydew melon, but that flavor went perfectly with the walnuts and the creamy shrimp! My son also had the spare ribs, which I'm guessing were tasty since he couldn't spare the time for words while devouring them noisily. We were too full for dessert so I'll have to come back another time to try Uncle's Handmade Ice Cream sandwiches - I love those things but can only find the Kona Coffee on chocolate cookies at Whole Foods and would love to try the dark chocolate ganache. Don't forget to get a validation card from the front desk for parking before you leave. It's green (parking ticket is white) and you stick that into the kiosk after inserting the white ticket. And you have to pay at the kiosk - the exits are not staffed, they're automated and don't accept payment. Also, they have a Yelp check-in special of a free appetizer with two entrees so make sure you take advantage of that! read more

This was probably the second time I had eaten here. The first time didn't leave a good long lasting impression so I went in with pretty low standards to begin with however, it was better than I thought it would be. Not amazing, but still pretty good. Located on the corner of the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center, parking is in the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center lot. The restaurant validates (I think) 2 hours which you can receive from the hostesses when you're done with your meal. My boyfriend and I met up with a couple of friends and we decided to order family style. We ordered chicken lo mein, sesame chicken, mongolian beef, and crispy honey shrimp. There were four of us and we ended up with more than enough food to share. Nothing we ordered was especially great, it's more of an upgraded Panda Express. Still, I'm not complaining. For dessert we chose an cookies n' cream ice cream cookie sandwich which was delicious. Such a simple dessert but it was so good. I made a reservation for 12 for my husband's birthday. We all sat down around 3:00 on the lanai. The server was not very interested in steering us toward drinks or food. I asked how the chicken with ginger and broccoli dish was and if he was choosing would he get the chicken or the salt and pepper prawns. He said any chicken dish is good so I and one other member of the party ordered it. I love ginger and was looking forward to it. We received our meals very staggered understandable with 12 people. Unfortunately the server had no idea who ordered what and the ginger chicken dish had no ginger taste whatsoever. We stopped in at 6:30 on a Wednesday night, busy but not crazy. The two of us were sat out side next to the hostess stand. We waited 25 minutes until we had to wave down a hostess to see who our server is. We ordered a couple of appetizers and an ice tea and Diet Pepsi. When it showed up there was no ice in either drink We waited 30 minutes for two simple appetizers , which never came, while we watched the hostess desk with 3 people looking clueless as they looked at their iPads. The empty table I front of us took 3 people to clear. We ended up leaving with the comment sorry do you want to speak to a manager? My husband works in Honolulu, so we are locals and fly back and forth between Maui and O'ahu. We try all kinds of places. This Chang's has a neat atmosphere. We had an excellent waitress. I think her name was Kristen, can't remember. Blonde hair, pretty new there. I love their kung pau chicken. We also had pot stickers and edamame. We sat upstairs on the outdoor lanai. I still like the Chang's in Richmond, VA better but this was very good for Waikiki. Food was very good. read more

After having a great experience at the PF Chang's Yelp Event in November I wanted to come back for more. I arrived for lunch and was pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary appetizer for Yelp Check In! We ordered chicken lettuce wraps, BBQ ribs, PF Chang's sushi roll and Waikiki sushi roll. Everything was delicious and I was surprised at how much I liked their ribs. For dessert we tried the banana egg roll, Yum! Overall the staff and food was great but unfortunately the Lychee martini featured at the yelp event was not on the menu (which I was really looking forward to), and the noise from the Royal Hawaiian construction was very loud and disrupting. We wanted to sit outside but I regretted that after listening to drilling and pounding for a few minutes. When I come back it will probably be after construction or I will ask to sit inside far away from it. read more
