I had a wonderful experience dealing with Cornisha (I hope I am spelling that correctly). I was trying to surprise my brother with some food who was dining in the restaurant, but I live out of state so I had to work out the details over the phone. Despite already having her hands more than full with other things, Cornisha took the little bit of extra time to help me identify the table my brother was at based on my description of him. She even hand delivered my gift to the table herself and made it way more personable by approaching the table with his name and who it was from. I just really appreciated her doing that for me and wanted to recognize her and her team for great customer service- it's little things like this that separate great service from just ok service. Just had the best lunch at PFChangs ... the store was incredibly busy for 3:00 pm ... Theodore was my server and with only two servers on for the entire restaurant he was a rock star. It's great to see good teamwork ... the manager on duty ( Bryan ) was doing a great job orchestrating everything I didn't get to meet her but I noticed Dawn Hummel was back as the OP so that could explain why everything was so great. Had the Mongolian beef bowl for lunch and it was outstanding! The green beans were a little oily, and the veggie spring rolls were a little bit oily. Price point was kind of on the high side in my humble opinion. The waitress was exceptional and very helpful with our orders. We sat in a booth near the window and it was somewhat cold and drafty. Poor service, poor food. It took a very long time after sitting down for my order to be taken and my water was not refilled until I was sitting on empty for about ten minutes each time. Don't even get me started on how long it took to get the check... I ordered the cream cheese wontons, lettuce wraps with chicken, and miso salmon. Cream cheese wontons are usually my favorite appetizer, but this is the first time I actually just didn't finish them. I ate two and couldn't stomach the rest -- they really were not good. The lettuce wraps are usually my favorite dish at this restaurant, but in this case, I ended up sifting through the filling trying to find a piece of meat because I was sure they had mistakenly given me the vegetarian version. No, there was just that little meat in there...extremely disappointing! Finally, I had the miso salmon. This was the one saving grace of the meal. The miso salmon was pretty good. I think of P.F. Chang's as a fancy, unscale chinese restaurant however I have not been overly impressed with any of their dishes. The atmosphere is nice and the servers have always been friendly but the quality and taste of food does not equal the increase in price compared to most take out chinese restaurants. I decided to try the pad thai - it had way too much sauce collected at the bottom and the flavor was - off? Not sure how to describe it. The vegetables were not mixed in and raw. There were an abundance of green onions on top which I was just glad weren't chopped up extremely small and impossible to pick out. The sprouts and carrots were hard which was an odd contrast to the soft noodles. I could not eat more than 2 bites. Thankfully the server could tell I did not care for this dish and offered to replace it. My second entree was the chicken fried rice. Much better but nothing special or exciting about it. I was not a fan of the crab stuffed rolls- may be more authentic than the take out crab rangoon (essentially what I felt like it was supposed to be) but not my cup of tea. The last two times we have came here was because we had a BOGO coupon and both times left remembering why we dont usually think of PF Changs for good chinese food. My wife and I picked up a carry out order the other night. They did a great job delivering the food curbside. We ordered the Mongolian beef and pepper steak. Both were excellent, unfortunately there was a hole in the bottom of the container of the Mongolian beef and all of the sauce leaked out. It was still good, but would have been better with sauce. We tried 3 different entrees Buddha Feast - it was juSt ok not enough tofu, too much veggies too much sauce not enough to fill your tummy. Hit and miss. That's the only way to describe it. Sometimes service is excellent and on point... and other times you wait 15 minutes to be greeted and get your drinks...and 20 min for an appetizer that comes out wrong. Other days you have an attentive server, the food comes out quickly - well you know what I mean. This visit we had reservations as the last time we came we opted to sit at the bar due to a 90 min wait (it ended up being a pleasant visit that time and we will totally belly up any time). Today we had to wait while our table was 'being prepared', and it was disheveled and sticky when we arrived to sit down. No one wiped it off. The tables on either side of us were piled with dishes and dirty - and remained that way for our full 90 min visit. So why do we go back? + It's close to home. +\- We can literally wear anything and dine here - as it seems the dress code has changed. It used to be "fancier" in my mind for some reason, but now it's super casual (we went directly from the gym and were not the worst dressed). They are huge slices of pepper with seeds. I would order without them in it. And add sriracha sauce if u want heat or their pepper sauce. Overall, it's a nice dish. I used to love this place and haven't been in years so decided to go last week with my family. It is definitely much different than it used to be unfortunately. we got the lettuce wraps, they were luke warm. the mongolian beef and broccoli and the sesame chicken were below average. they tasted as if they've been sitting out for a while and I could taste the cornstarch. the veggies had no sauce. very underwhelming. the cocktails were also very average. i upgraded my side to fried rice and they gave me plain steamed rice which just looked a little brown from soy sauce and had absolutely no flavor. the only pro was our wonderful and attentive waitress. read more

I will say, the two stars are purely for the food being so good. Honestly, tonight the service was very frustrating. I had a reservation at 7. When we walked in we were told that even though we had a reservation we had to wait. I thought that was ironic, what was the point of making the reservation? There were also no apologies given for it. I would have been more understanding if there was some kind of mention that it wasn't the fairest. We had to wait for about 15 minutes, while couples were taken back that were just walking in. We then were called up tot the podium to be seated, then the two hostesses started discussing our seating like we weren't there and ultimately they skipped over us saying "we have a 4 topper so you'll be next." And then called another group up as we stood awkwardly at the podium just confused on what happened. When we finally were seated we waited another 10-15 minutes for drinks. The waitress wasn't really very friendly either. I will say the food was very good. I split an order of the potstickers appetizer with my date. I got the Chicken Lo Mein noodles with brown rice as my entree, and wonton soup. All extremely good! But the service truly was so bad I won't be back to a P.F. Chang's. read more

Location: P.F. Chang's fashion mall location is set away from the main mall in the parking lot at a beautiful building that adds to the event of dining. With large horse statues outside and interior statues and artwork it sets the tone nicely! While large and open air inside, it does convey the modern "pack people in" atmosphere while also feeling well done. I would prefer to see the old world smaller areas and event rooms come back, but as of 2022 the restaurant business seems to not agree. Menu: The menu is mostly cut down to a 2 page menu. One side for meals, one side for drinks. The impact of COVID and supply lines can clearly be seen. While Duck is still available, the price is rather high. The Children's menu while available, seemed only good for the smallest of children, probably want to stick to ordering and taking it home or sharing for kids. The options were even more restricted on the children's menu. Service: The table service was awesome. From suggestions, and knowing the menu, to interacting with everyone at the table without being a nuisance. Bravo to the floor staff training! Meal: The meal itself was very good! With steamed Dumplings (pork), Crispy Honey Chicken, Chicken Lo Mien, and Ma Po Tofu . All was great! I am not a big fan of Tofu, as I can't seem to cook it myself and end up with anything edible, it was the best Tofu I have had in the past 30 years! Wonderfully crispy on the outside and spiced nicely from the chili sauce. The Crispy Chicken was on point and not overly Sticky as was the Chicken Lo Mein, with perfect chicken, veggies, and noodles. I want to take a moment to praise the steamed Dumplings. The Pork Steamed Dumplings were simply the best I have had since physically visiting China myself and having them there in mainland China! The dumplings came out very fast and on a side plate (which lost heat quickly), I would have highly favored to see them come out in the weaved or modern stainless steam basket. Overall: A solid 8.5/10 I would have liked to see a different layout on the interior, but modern "business" dictates, as does my score. We enjoy our food from here. Since there isn't decent Chinese restaurants in Indianapolis unlike Chicago, we prefer to go here for Chinese food. Food is generally little saltier than I like it to be but fairly good. Looks like they added more list to the menu so great to see more varieties. Service is ok. Our waitress was good but wish that service was little faster. Maybe the kitchen was little slower than usual. I thought our main entrees took little longer than we expected it to be. If I could give zero stars I would. This place is outrageous in price. Let me start by saying the quality of food is the lowest you could receive . The lo mein was straight up spaghetti with no flavor. It had a brown tent to it and that seemed to satisfy the cooking staff to pass it as lo mein. I got the Mongolian beef, it was so chewy and lacking sauce it was like chewing gum. Not to mention the green onion that was straight up still in long strands,makes you think it's green beans.What happened to chopping, or even meat tenderizing, ??There was 5 in our party and we spent 165 dollars for a meal that I wouldn't pay 10 bucks for. Not to mention it's so dark in this place it's frustrating that you can't see your food, maybe that's what they want. If you saw the food properly you would definitely walk out. A classic place to visit when you're craving Asian fare. We came on a Friday night around 7 but easily snagged 2 spots at the bar. The bar tender was super friendly and the service was great. We started with the Crab Rangoon appetizer and it came pretty quickly. The dish came with 6 rangoons which was perfect for sharing. For entrees we got the Honey shrimp with white rice and Kung pao chicken with brown rice. They were both soo good. The honey shrimp was my favorite with the sticky sweet sauce. They have really expanded their menu over the last few years with ramen, sushi, ahi tun and other items that have become more popular. read more

So the (presumably corporate) person who responded asked me to send my review to their web site. I'm not sure why I took the time to do that......I guess I was curious as to how they'd respond? Anyway, we went back and forth a few times and the net result was that they sent me a $15 gift card. Dafuq? What exactly does that solve? Firstly, that doesn't get you much on their expensive menu. Secondly, why would I waste my time going back when there's no indication that anything has changed? PF Chang, here's my Kung Pao chicken recipe (I went to culinary school): Kung Pao Chicken Serves 4 Ingredients: * 3 Tablespoons soy sauce * 2 1/2 Tablespoons rice wine (sake or Chinese prepared rice wine) or dry sherry * 1 Tablespoon plus 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch * 1 ¼ pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs (or breasts--see note), trimmed of fat and cut into 1/2 inch cubes * 5 Tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon peanut oil (high smoke point oil) * 3 Tablespoons chicken broth (canned if you don't have home made) * 1 Tablespoon sugar * 1 teaspoon rice vinegar * 1 teaspoon Asian sesame oil * 1 small red bell pepper, cored, seeded and cut into 1/2 inch dice * 3 large garlic cloves, minced * 1 Tablespoon minced fresh ginger * 6 medium scallions, whites only, cut into 1/2 inch lengths * 1 teaspoon hot red pepper flakes (or chiles, see note), to taste * 1/2 cup dry roasted, unsalted peanuts Instructions: Mix 1 1/2 Tablespoons soy sauce, 1 1/2 Tablespoons rice wine and 1 Tablespoon cornstarch together in a medium bowl. Add chicken and toss. Add 1 Tablespoon peanut oil (I use sesame oil) and toss again. Set aside for 20 minutes. Mix remaining 1 1/2 Tablespoons soy sauce, 1 Tablespoon rice wine and 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch together in a small bowl. Stir in broth, sugar, vinegar and sesame oil. Set sauce aside. Heat a 12 or 14 inch nonstick skillet with 3 Tablespoons peanut oil over high heat for 3 minutes. Make sure peanut oil coats bottom of skillet. Heat oil until it starts to shimmer and smoke. Add chicken and stir-fry until seared and ¾ cooked, about 2 minutes. Strain chicken into a clean bowl and set aside. Carefully wipe out pan with paper towel. Put pan back over high heat with 1 Tablespoon peanut oil to coat bottom of pan. When oil starts to smoke, add bell pepper and stir fry for 1 minute. Clear center of pan and add garlic, ginger, scallions and peppers (or flakes) and drizzle with remaining peanut oil. Stir fry until fragrant, 15-30 seconds. Add sauce and cook, stirring constantly, until it boils (5-10 seconds). Add chicken back to pan and stir-fry until ingredients are well coated with sauce and sizzling hot, about 1 minute. Stir in peanuts and serve immediately. read more

There is so much to love about this place yet the extremely high amount of sodium in all of the dishes is such an odd thing to see amidst the high culinary standards and excellent kitchen craft. The staff is always wonderful and easy to get along with here, a wide open room concept with lots of black and red giving a striking atmosphere and indulgent date night appea. The menu is smaller this past year but still offering a selection of essentials from drinks to sweets to proteins and low calorie dishes. As us health conscious people have been learning, the recent decades have marketed fat as the unruly evil and yet processed sugar and sodium is clearly being found out as the culprit. I would enjoy being here a lot more often if the massive salt added to the entrees wasn't enough to fill my daily requirement and more. There is way too much research showing high sodium intake is extremely unhealthy for heart health and long-term. Despite that, it is far too easy to add up a hefty bill here, my buddy and I quickly ended up right north of eighty before tip with appetizer sampler, cocktail each, roll of sushi for me and orange chicken for him finishing off with the banana egg roll dessert. This is a high rent district so I bet most people are fine but for us country kids this is a budgeted meal. Maybe it's good the high salt keeps me away, I would be wandering in here too frequently! All the dishes went right down my alley as good as possible, fantastic sushi, fresh and super soft chicken, drinks right on point but missing the house made ginger beer! Noticed Peking duck is on the menu, will have to get back for that since my favorite lemongrass curry is gone. The food didn't showed up, and I didn't got any email or call from P.F. Chang's that they couldn't delivery at the time I picked. I called P.F. Chang's. I got transfer to three different person, and then it got transferred to the UNFRIENDLY manger.I explained to him of the problem, and people waiting for their food. We stopped in P.F. Chang's today while out in the Keystone at the Crossing area. We requested and were given a spacious corner booth for the four of us. The restaurant was probably about at 1/2 to a bit more at capacity. The interior space is very open; so at capacity it can get a bit loud; however today was very comfortable. Our server was very nice & very attentive. We selected Crispy Green Beans as an appetizer; followed by a family platter of Chang's Spicy Chicken, Chicken Fried Rice, and Chicken Lo Mein. I enjoyed the Mango unsweetened tea as my beverage. Everything was delicious today - everything! Though we all ate plenty; we had some left to fill 2 small take home containers.
