Crispy Honey Shrimp
Lindsay M.

I think this is a true 3.5 star review. I had not been to PF Chang's in a very long time but had a family dinner here on a Friday night. I feel the night started off a little wrong because our waitress was off. She seemed very confused and forgetful. She was incredibly apologetic and nice but we were at dinner for over an hour and a half. The food all tasted good but not as good as I remember. I have always gotten the crispy honey shrimp, and I feel the taste has slightly changed.

Our whole table got dinner specials. The prices were decent, the food was fresh and delicious. We all got spicy chicken and it was crispy and not overcooked. It wasn't too busy and there were plenty of seating options. It is very dimly lit. I didn't know there was an option for outdoor seating until we sat down, it would have been nice to have been given the option. Our waiter was alright. I had to drop my star rating because they were out of diet soda and ube cheesecake.

Pork egg roll with strange foamy noodles. Beware, the sauce is super heavy on the horseradish. Knocked my socks off!

I got the changs spicy chicken and pork egg roll combo. The chicken was really good and almost too spicy. I've had it before and it was nowhere near as hot! Pork egg roll was really good but small. Service was OK, but they were out of diet soda and the dessert that we wanted to try so we left disappointed.

Pork dumplings

The fried pork dumplings were so good. They were crisp on the outside and the sauce was a perfect pairing. The butter cake desert was a great way to end the meal.

Orange chicken and fried rice

My family and I went for a nice dinner this evening and we had a great time. We shared their new orange chicken with fried rice which was SO good and it was the perfect portion for 2 people! My son thoroughly enjoyed the citrus slices! The services was really good and attentive. She was there right when we needed her. We ordered the kids veggie stir fry and even that was so good with a lot of flavor. Our total bill for the three of us plus a soft drink and a martini was $50. Which is very reasonable for nowadays! They have a lot of new menu options and I do love a family style restaurant. Perfect for sharing one meal or getting many to try new things. Definitely will be going back again

Half order chicken lettuce wraps

I've been here several times over the past couple of years... Last two times have been the best! The food and service were so much better the past two times, so I'll be back! Most recently I went and Tiffany was my server... she was incredible, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They have half order of chicken lettuce wraps now, which is great for when you're dining solo! They tasted great! The lo mien side dish was excellent too; tasted great with the ginger chicken. I'll definitely return!

They quoted me 15 mins and the food was ready at that time. I walked in and paid with a card and was in and out within a minute. They do have a few booths inside, if you wanted to eat there, but I would say it's mainly takeout. The parking lot is massive and shared with several other businesses in the plaza. The food was still hot by the time I got it home. The wonton soup only comes in a smaller pint version and I'm used to a quart size. So, I was a little disappointed by that. However, the soup was delicious. It had a dark and flavorful broth. The vegetable rolls were definitely more reminiscent of spring rolls, but still delicious. They didn't curb my craving for an egg roll, though. The general tsos came with white rice and the entree was musky spicy, crunchy, and served with broccoli and carrot slices. I enjoyed the flavor of the sauce and thought the portion size was fair for the price.

We were the first ones around 5:30 on a Friday night, but lots of folks picking up takeout and DoorDash. Server gave us bottled water (which we didn't ask for and were charged like $0.50 for 4 bottles so not a big deal). We ordered samosas, onion pakora, garlic naan, goat vindaloo, and chicken korma. We also got the irani chai at the suggestion of the server. He was helpful and gave us suggestions about spice level etc. Nice pace of service. Our chai was first, then appetizers, with plenty of time to enjoy them. Then entrees and naan. We did not feel rushed. The staff was super grateful for our business. The food was 5 stars! So fresh, flavorful. Tender meat for both the goat and chicken. We will definitely come back to try more things! They had Bollywood videos playing on the TVs which we loved! We couldn't really get water refills and were never told that we would get no bill and had to pay at the counter. We waited a long time for our bill before flagging down our waiter to find out we weren't getting one. They play Bollywood music videos, which was really cool. Side note: tho they ask about naan with every order it isn't included and it may be worth getting the bigger basket if you're all getting the same kind of naan.

The employees kindly speak with us, and they promptly seat us, take our orders, and bring our beverages and foods. In my past reviews, I rated the tuna tartar trio, salmon martini starter, Thai-style rangoon, chicken hibachi, and salmon hibachi as 5 stars each, and I rated the hibachi steak bento box with a spring roll as 4.5 stars and the chicken hibachi bento box with pork gyoza as 4 stars. For our most recent visit, here are my ratings for what we ate: Sushi and Sashimi for 2 - 5 stars - This gorgeous sushi boat contained 10 pieces of chef's choice sushi, 18 pieces of chef's choice sashimi, and 2 rolls--Dragon Roll (eel, cucumber, and avocado) and Volcano Roll (batter-fried mixed fish and avocado with house-special sauce and tobiko/roe). They all tasted delicious. Hibachi Steak - 5 stars - The steak was juicy and flavorful, and it came with fried rice, soup, salad, and two pieces of shrimp. Pad Thai - 5 stars - The rice noodles were cooked well, and I enjoyed the flavor of the sauce and my choice of protein of chicken.

The ginger dressing was very light and zesty and not so much peanut-flavored like you typically get. The miso soup was very rich and savory. As for the entrée, the Bento box had the red curry chicken with vegetables, spring roll with plum sauce, rice, and some sushi. Everything in the box was fresh, quality ingredients. I especially liked the crispy spring roll (not greasy and had great flavor). The sushi didn't miss either. For the red curry, was milder than I was expecting and would have liked a little more pepper spice to it. But it was still pretty good. The hot tea I ordered didn't taste like typical hot tea; something almost earthy and nutty about it, but it was delicious. The people working at the restaurant were gracious and speedy with the service (it's a family business which is always good to see). I'd love to come again next time I'm up here and try more sushi dishes. Great place!

We didn't see much of the inside because we chose the option to enjoy our meal outside in the garden. Fortunately, we were able to snag a 5:30 PM reservation a couple Fridays ago. My friend set up notification alerts on Resy and a different party canceled their reservation the day before. This restaurant is very popular. KHAO YUM - 24 This is a 17 ingredient salad with tamarind dressing. I'm not usually a salad person, but this one was incredibly delicious and refreshing. Lots of crispy textures from the various vegetables, some juicy, tart and bitter pieces of grapefruit, and the crispy rice was the perfect fried carb on top. A bit pricy, but a great app to share for the whole table. CRISPY SHRIMP - 32 We were each able to get two pieces of shrimp among the four of us. The shrimp was batter and fried with a sweet garlicky glaze. While it was crispy and juicy, I thought it was a bit too saucy. It wasn't my favorite, but one of my friends really enjoyed the shrimp -- sauce and all. KHAO SOI - 48 The red and yellow curry was flavorful, and the egg noodles were perfectly soft with a bit of chew. The wagyu beef cheek was tender, but there wasn't much in it. Overall, I thought this was a bit too overpriced for what it was. MASSAMAN CURRY - 48 Incredibly phenomenal The massaman curry was incredibly rich with its sweet and savory flavor. Each order came with a whole lamb shank. The meat was incredibly tender and flavorful -- it fell off the bone with ease. I highly recommend this entree for its delicious curry and lamb. Overall, pricy food with a elegant aesthetic. It's also more of fusion Thai food than it is authentic. Can definitely see why this is one of the more popular and well-loved restaurants in Pittsburgh!

I wouldn't really call this a supper club to be honest but the place definitely carries a house music bar vibe and the back bar area and seating is very dimly lit, perfect for cozying up and enjoying a drink late night. The ladies' room was so dark, I mistook it for a storage area because I could only make out a white ladder in the corner that was being used as cute shelving. The place is seat yourself. Our waiter was not super friendly and didn't offer to give us napkins or anything when our wobbly table caused our drinks to splash all over the place. The cook served our chicken with a big smile and happy interaction and we really loved his personality. The bartender also stopped by to bus our table and he was very pleasant as well. We enjoyed the perfectly fried small plate cauliflower with the plum sauce and the fried cheese/garlic wonton bites with the sriracha mayo spicy dipping sauce. The fried chicken breast on the large plate was slightly overcooked with a maple gochuchang sauce that was very bland. We were so thankful that the large plate fried chicken came with a side salad to offer some respite from the heaviness of the fried dishes. It would have been great to have some side acidic or fresh vegetable options like Kimchi or something. Maybe we tried the wrong dishes and there are other not fried things that are delicious? The dirty martini cocktail was just so-so, not really much flavor at all, but the mojito was very good and refreshing. It's probably a good late-night place for a bite and drink.
