I ordered a meal online at 5:13 and was given a wait time of 5:45. That didn't seem too terrible. That quickly changed to 6:30. I accepted that since it was a busy time being Mother's Day. At 6:15, received a call that there was another forty minute wait. At this point, I'm getting irritated and hungry. Neverthe less, I waited and waited. i called the restaurant back at 7:15, and inquired about the status of my paid meal. They hadn't even started to prepare it at that time. I canceled the order. I have a food allergy and they called to tell me I couldn't have the green beans because if my allergy. Five minutes later he came back and apologized and said I was right and the green beans were in fact dairy free. When my order came (horrible service from Grubhub but also a different story) all of my food was cold and none of what I ordered was how I had ordered it. The pad Thai was also weirdly deconstructed so there was a pile of carrots, sprouts, cilantro and huge pile long scallions shoots with the noodles on the bottom. The only reason this restaurant is getting 2 stars instead of 1 is because the food itself is pretty good. The service is terrible and they do not know how to handle being busy. We called to place a pick up order and waited 10 minutes before talking to someone. Then, we were put on hold again after partially putting in an order for another 15 minutes. At that point, we had arrived at the restaurant and ordered inside. We were told 20-25 minutes. We left and came back 25 minutes later and were told 20-25 more minutes due to the volume of to-go orders. This is something that should have been brought to our attention when initially ordering as we could have decided to go to another place very similar in the same plaza. I had takeout for lunch and got the Saigon Summer Rolls pairing with Wonton Soup. The Wonton soup had minimal flavor. It did have shrimp, water chestnuts, and clumps of chicken in it along with 2 wontons but like I said lacked any actual flavor. The Summer rolls were better. They serve them cut in half which makes stuff fall out. I'd rather them keep it a solid roll. The chicken inside was too dry for the roll so I picked some of it out. The sauce it came with was good but filllled with sesame seeds. I liked some seeds but ended up scooping forkfuls of seeds out of the sauce. Way too much. Also the prices are higher for what you're getting. The food looks good but is disappointing. I'll eat here again (to use the rest of my gift card) then probably won't come back. Asked about this pick up issue, and the lady said: Me: "what if I had come at my time? Would my love mein and soup have been cold? Or remade?" PF: " we gave you a spoon for your soup." I and my husband walked in PFChang's in Robinson today at around 4pm. After being seated, a server(didn't introduce her name or anything) asked if we'd like to order s.thing to drink. This is our first time here, so i and my husband didn't know much about the menu at all but i wish the server would be nicer to answer the question instead of showing face responding "that's dessert" like we should know better before asking what are those. Then we asked about a drink in the picture without the name under it and she said it's in the menu. i had to ask again to know where it was to know the price and description. Then she said it's plum wine(the bottle was in japanese in the picture) then we found it at the bottom of the menu. i ordered it. Then she walked to the next table, rolling her eyes. We walked out after that. I've never felt so unwelcomed, and disrespected, same as my husband. I'm a hostess and serve at a restaurant too. i know we should have explained to the hotess and asked to talk to the manager before walking out like that but my husband wouldn't like to explain anything since the restaurant looked kinda upscale, very nice, very well organized and the menu looked clean and new, so much better than a regular restaurant and we were treated like that? We were seated at the first table to the left, next to the hostess station. The table was kinda big for 2 and the cushion looked little old and dirty comparing to everything else. We went to the Walnut Grill after that and received quite different experience:at least the server made us feel more welcome, explained everything in the menu patiently and pleasantly. We didn't have to ask anything to receive such an attitude. I'm very sorry for walking out like that after ordering the wine. That was my first time ever doing that. If you plan on coming during the weekend, make a reservation, or you could be in for a long wait. What makes PF Chang's the most successful and highest grossing restaurant at the Waterfront? Several things. Firstly, the service is close to impeccable. When you walk in the door, a hostess smiles, and takes your name. They're cordial, sincere, and capable. If you have a special need, or require special service, they can make it happen without running to a manager. Once seated, your server will take your drink order, and more importantly, will let you know if they're going to be a few minutes by saying, "I'll be right with you." I've always been amazed with the efficiency in which this restaurant operates. Place your order, and the meal (or appetizer) usually appears within 15 minutes, if not sooner. The cooks in the kitchen know their craft, and know it well. Another key ingredient in PF's success is consistency. Every time I've had the pleasure of eating there, my food always looks, and tastes the same; no variations. I always start with Chang's Chicken Lettuce Wraps and it seems as if they've counted out the exact amount of lettuce and chicken every time; consistency is good. The chicken, Chinese noodles and special sauce make for a good combination; crunchy and sweet. After the appetizer I most always have the Crispy Honey Chicken, or the Kung Pao. I usually ask for some extra heat; I like the spice! The chicken is tender and flavorful, never over-cooked. I've also tried the Mongolian Beef, and Beef with Broccoli- both superb. If you're a vegetarian, they can make you a dish of Coconut Curry Vegetables, or Ma Po Tofu. If you happen to be gluten-free, try some Singapore Street Noodles (made with rice), or GF Buddha's Feast, a varied selection of seasonal vegetables. If you're at PF Chang's on a Friday or Saturday night and don't have reservations, grab a drink at the bar. There are always plenty of people to talk to, and you might just find a seat. This PF Changs was across from the hotel I was staying at so I thought I would try it out. I was alone so I sat at a table off to the side of the bar. Bad service and OK food was the beginning. I then saw the staff clear glasses from tables and bring them back to the bartender. The bartender had a sink full of soapy water and a sink with just water in it. He would take the glasses 2 or 3 at a time and partially dip them in the soapy water and then partially dip them in the rinse water and then put them in what appeared to be the freezer/cooler. I was disgusted that they were not thoroughly washed and sanitized. I brought this to the attention of the server that didn't seem to care. I then emailed the corp office about it and asked if this was procedure at all locations. I never received a response. I definitely will never go back to that location and doubt I will go back to any PF Changs. read more

Took our daughter here to celebrate her first week at a new job. The service was over the top amazing! Our waitress, ShyAnne, was very friendly and funny! The manager was cleaning tables, interacting with guests, and spoke with us that night. At a point early in our visit after we had ordered, the manager came up to us and apologized for the delay in our appetizer being late and it would be given to us at no cost. We were surprised as it had not seemed that long! ShyAnne was looking out for her tables to make sure they got the best service, timely delivery of food, and excellent food at that. This is unlike most PF Chang chains I have frequented. It's dirty and completely unsanitary to the point of having smelly dishes as if sitting in dirty soaking water for days on end. My recent visit to this Pittsburgh location was a disaster and I will never return. It took 25 minutes to get waited on and only by my demand for a waitress. It was another 25 minutes for an appetizer, and I left after another 30 minutes without receiving main dish. They weren't busy and waitress was horribly inattentive to the patrons. Today was my birthday, so I wanted to pop in to treat myself to a delicious dinner. Coincidentally, the meal I wanted had a weekly deal going on where the full price dinner was only $10! This dining experience was one of the best I have ever had! Our waiter was extremely helpful and friendly, and he made us laugh more than a few times. Along with the service, the food was great. Unfortunately, one item that our group had ordered was taking a while to come out from the kitchen. The staff was very friendly, and our waiter and the manager apologized for it countless times. They came over to make sure we were still doing alright and to make sure we weren't angry. Overall, I have no complaints about this experience and cannot wait to go back. For years I have loved Chang's, even more so when I had to change my diet to GLuten Free and found they have many GF options. I have always had a good experience, ordered out and dined in at multiple locations including Ohio. I gave them 3 stars today because lately My boyfriend and I feel like the last several visits we have found the quality of food has gone down a bit and isn't worth the price.
