We had a fabulous experience at P.F. Chang's in downtown Sarasota over the holidays. The staff was wonderfully attentive, especially to our children. We absolutely loved the special, crab fried rice- unanimously the family favorite. I found the espresso martini to be heavenly- I had to have 2 because they were flawless. The lettuce wraps were delicious, as always. What really sets this location apart is the staff. Ashley, Patrick, and Darrell were especially customer oriented, kind, and welcoming. What a great team! My wife and I went for a late lunch when only 2 other tables were occupied. My lunch was just "OK" but my wife's egg roll was burnt, and her broccoli was raw. The waitress also was not attentive and never asked how our meals were but when she did bring out meals initially, she said the dipping sauce for the egg roll was not hot where is actually included very hot mustard as its base. read more

P.F. Chang's Sarasota, what has happened to you? The last time I was there, the quality of food was declining, but after last night's meal, I won't return. First, let me say, the restaurant was clean and service was excellent. But we come for the food, first and foremost. The sushi was funky smelling and flattened because, and I quote, "We can't find our sushi mat." The lettuce provided for the lettuce cup appetizer were so small and thin, we couldn't get enough of the meat into it (that's the 2nd time it's happened!). The steamed dumplings had a decent flavor, but were rubbery. As for the banana dessert - OMG, I make it better. The bananas were too ripe and squishy and there was too much 'syrup' which became hardened like candy. I would not recommend this P.F. Chang's to anyone. read more

Horrible service from the time I walked in to this location (766 S. Osprey Ave Sarasota, Fl) no one greeted me upon walking in, I asked if I could sit outside because the weather was so nice but after about 8 minutes and no one coming to check on me I decided to go sit at the bar instead mind you the restaurant was not packed or busy. While sitting at the bar the bar tender Josie never made eye contact with me or even utter hello I'll be with you in a moment to acknowledge that I was sitting there so after about a few minutes Josie stated one moment please. I placed my order for a lemon drop and crab rolls as my appetizer which my lemon drop was made too sweet. About 20 minutes later I placed an order for my entire. So I'm scrolling on my phone at the bar and sipping my cocktail and time and time goes by and I said to myself it shouldn't take 15 minutes for some chicken lettuce wraps. So another bar tender (I didn't get her name) came over to me and I told her that I've been waiting over 15 minutes for my food so she went back to check on my food, but after another 2 or 3 minutes sitting there I had to get the waitress attention to ask her what's the status of my food for her to tell me that they were preparing a new order for me at that point I was livid and asked for my check and told her to cancel my chicken lettuce wrap order and to cash me out. I'm beyond upset by my experience today at this location and I will not be returning. The bar tender Josie needs to be re-trained on customer service etiquette and honestly I think she forgot to put my order in all together. read more

Last night we ordered Soup, Sesame Chicken and Teriyaki Chicken entrees and Lettuce wrap appetizer. The soup was passable but the other dishes were so bad we both got stomach aches. The two chicken dishes were fried and virtually indistinguishable "stew". The lettuce was the only identifiable thing in the lettuce wrap appetizer. The fried squares in that dish were unidentifiable and tasted awful. This is possibly the worst Chinese food I can remember eating. We will never order from PF Chang's again. I suggest you follow suit and avoid it for your own protection. read more

I was hesitant to go to P. F. Chang's because of the recent poor reviews but I'm glad I did. Not being very hungry I ordered two appetizers. The chicken lettuce wraps and the dry rub northern style spare ribs. Both were delicious and more than enough to share. I ended up bringing most of the ribs home. My boyfriend got the handmade pork dumplings and honey chicken. Both were also delicious and again, the portion of honey chicken was so large he ended up bringing half of it home. Our server, Andrea, was wonderful!! She was very attentive and checked on us several times to make sure everything was alright and to ask if we needed anything. Not bad Pad Thai if you ask me! The bad reviews of this place made me skeptical to even walk in to be honest but my mother in law frequents here so I figured it can't be that bad! And it wasn't. She loves the Mongolian Beef and my chicken pad Thai was great! Piled high with tasty classic pad Thai ingredients. Can't say chicken was the best I've ever had but I was starving so it all tasted quite good. I loved trying their Pomegrante Lemonade as well for something refreshing. I recall the first time I ate at the original PF Changs in Vegas and then Irvine, Ca!!! WOW, WOW! I understand the company has been purchased several times. Change is inevitable. What's disappointing is the quality of food in the Spokane location is nothing like the original. It was not even on par with Panda Express. At best, mediocre quality that I can find anywhere. The wine list is so dumbed down with store brands, ughhh The refreshing part of the story is this!!! After several disappointing experiences here, I spoke the the manager. He was very receptive and respectful of my feedback. I had no expectation of anything g. He did comp our meal which was very generous.
