All we would hear about for a quick bite is P. Terry's. Their sign is really cool since it has that very vibrant look. The customer service was great as well as the guy that worked the front provided a quick surgery or the shop which resulted in us getting free fries! The food I would say isn't anything like In-N-Out at home in Los Angeles. If you are looking for a quick meal or a late night munchie then this place is it, I believe this location was open until 2am. It's on the East side of I-35 a short way north of downtown Austin. Its looks are five-star because it's noticeable eye-catching and adorable, an old-style roadside burger shop that reminds me of many of the classic ones in Texas. Unfortunately it just didn't match up to what we were hoping for, taste-wise. In the sense that while the burgers here are not bad and the service here is amazing it, just isn't my favourite product. It's probably better than a Whataburger, a Five Guys, maybe comparable to In N Out, but it's not life-changing like some little burger shops can be. I'd probably ordinarily give three stars for the products alone, but the prices are pretty decent, and my goodness the service is wonderful - some of the best we had in Austin. So I definitely have to give 5 for service, which means 4 overall. P Terry's is a lovely little place and I just wish the food was as amazing as the service here. I brought it back to my hotel room and must admit that I was disappointed by the size of the burger. This is Texas after all, and everything should be bigger here, right? I'm a Texan, born and raised. I've never received a fast food burger this small from anywhere except maybe from ordering on the kids menu at other places. However, the taste of the burger and fries was great and the service was quick. I wasn't offered a receipt so I had to ask for one (needed for reimbursement from job while on business trip), which is no big deal but just something to be aware of. Why the three? I genuinely did not find anything in this burger that made me say wow or leave me dying to try it again. Constant highlight for dining, yet my recent visit left me in tears.. My day had been already half hazard and so stressful, so I stopped in for a meal with my milkshake and cookies. There was a short line but it disappeared by the time we reached the cashier. Our order was taken and the food was served within 7 minutes. I was surprised how fast they served us with a long car line waiting outside for their food as well. The bread was tasty and the meat was juicy. When you compare the price, there is no better place. The burgers here come with a huge portion, so make sure to come on an empty stomach! The fries had a good amount of salt and crispiness as well. One portion of fries is enough to share between two people. The item that was the highlight of our meal was the lemonade. It was an excellent balance between sweet and tart that was perfect for a warm day. Overall, our experience at P. It comes with American cheeze like Kraft which is not my favorite, but the grilled onions held securely by the cheeze added a nice flavor to the ordinary burger that is freshly cooked. The banana bread slice was thick and out of this world. Worth the price and would be a good meal substitute. The dining room had trash laying around before I got there and was still there when I finished eating. The restroom was clean though. The cashier was very nice and sweet. Last week Wednesday December 11, 2024, I ate at P Terry's Burger Stand in Kyle, TX and within in 3 hours of my #3 Combo I began puking and then about an hour after that I had the runs occasionally for the night. I was nauseas all day the next day and could only keep chicken broth & Gatorade down. It will be a long time (if ever) before I order from and eat at a P. Terry's Burger Stand again. If I ever do...(big IF) it will not be the Kyle, TX location. First Whataburger does me wrong (with a cockroach coming out of the kitchen of the first one I ever ate at, rude customer service from the employees at the 2nd location I went to and then at the 3rd Whataburger location I experienced rude customer service from the cashier and extremely cold food which arrived about 10 minutes (minimum) after my friends that I was with got their food (I was the first among my group of friends to place an order). Thank God Texas has other burger places to get good food with better appreciation of all of their customers, especially when I am wanting cheeseburgers and such. P. Terry's Burger Stand in Kyle, TX deserves a Zero Star Rating from me, since this is not possible, I am giving only one (1) star. read more

We noticed this incredible landmark (can it even be called and "landmark" when it's only a few weeks old? In this case, absolutely!) on our way back to our hotel from In N Out. It was so striking, we had to pull over to see it, even though we had no idea what it was. Come to find out, P. Terry's is "Austin's very own In N Out" (this, I hear, from a local). So due to our bellies being fuller-than-full of world-class burgers already, we weren't able to eat here. However, based on the yummy root beer shakes (hey - ice cream fits AROUND all the other stuff in your belly!) and incredibly attractive and eye-catching architecture of the building, alongside the beautiful, bright 20-foot-plus neon sign out front, I'm giving this location of P. Terry's an "above average" rating to start out. When I return to Keep-Austin-Weird next year, an honest meal here is at the top of my list! read more

Yesterday my boyfriend & I dined here for the first time. We were at the brink of hangry when he suggested a burger and we immediately remembered seeing this place on our yelp search. The moment we walked in we were welcomed by a warm hello and an even warmer smile. Brenda was extremely helpful and suggested different items from the menu. She raved about the cookies which were oatmeal chocolate chip and with no disappointment, they were incredible. The table we sat at had a few crumbs on it from someone who had just fined on it before we did. I went to the counter to ask Brenda for a wet towel so we could wipe the table. I wanted to do it because she was busy. Without skipping a beat she came around the corner to clean up our table. I had to thank her about 8 times. She even brought our order out to us because as I was throwing away some napkins and threw away my receipt. She came to our table with that same warm voice and said "for some reason I remember this order. This extremely specific chicken burger and a double cheese burger".
