The Baseline: For a Mexican fast casual restaurant the flavors of the food must make use of the prime Mexican ingredients (corn, beans, chiles, rice, cheese, and meats), preparation of sauces/salsas must be fresh, the meal portion size must make me feel full, and service must be efficient. Food: Good flavors for the food here at Pachanga. The burrito was 1/2 chicken and 1/2 carnitas with a good salsa that filled us up. The pinto/refried beans had a good earthiness to the flavor that I enjoyed when I mixed it with their salsa. Chips come with all entree orders which is nice not having to order separately. Service: Good service and friendly when I ordered. Made sure I got an extra bag for my salsa bar salsa containers. Ambiance: Clean fast casual seating and there is a salsa bar (but no cilantro or Escabeche available on the bar).

Fast, fresh, and made well! The prices aren't bad either. I came in craving tacos. I ordered the taco plate, two chicken and one pastor, and it came with rice and beans. My friend ordered a burrito and both came with chips as well. The salsas were great! The music was such a vibe. I will defientley be back.

My girlfriends and I came here for a casual lunch and some much-needed catch-up time, and Pachanga did not disappoint! We ordered a little bit of everything--chorizo burritos, tostadas, nachos, and street tacos--and honestly, everything was so good. The flavors were on point, and the chorizo had just the right amount of spice. One of my favorite things was the salsa bar--I love being able to add my own toppings and get everything just how I like it. We ended up hanging out for a while, but since it's a quick-service spot, it's also great if you just want to grab something to go. They have birria on the menu, which we didn't try this time, but we're already planning to come back for it. Definitely a solid spot if you're craving good, fresh Mexican food without the wait.

We loved our breakfast burritos. They were packed with goodness and flavor, looking forward to coming back and trying something new. We also loved the fully stocked salsa bar so many options whether you are looking for something mild or something spicy.

Damn what a breakfast burrito! First time I ordered via uber eats app and got their loaded breakfast burrito that has eggs tater tots bacon steak and avocado. It was an amazing deal. The place was hard to find as in the app it shows up as Go Burrito Breakfast. The place was packed at lunch time and the burrito was well prepared and delicious. May become a regular. Inside is fairly casual. There are no outside seating so I sat outside of Bristol frame in the same shopping plaza.

A fast casual Taqueria style restaurant in a pretty sizable strip mall in the Manhattan Beach area. According to my coworker, who grew up around the area, this place has been around for a very long time. It offers items you would expect like burritos, tacos, nachos, etc. The guys here were pretty friendly and helpful. I ended up ordering a burrito Padrino with chicken. This comes with Kwok and sour cream. The burritos pretty huge. I the whole thing because I skipped breakfast and was hungry, but honestly, I probably could have cut it in half and ate half of it for lunch and dinner. Oh, and I also like that they have a salsa bar with four different salsas.

Pachanga is one of the few restaurants my husband and I immediately think of when we are trying to meet up for a lunch date. If you're in the South Bay and are looking for some solid Mexican food, look no further!!! Pachanga is so good and the service is so incredibly nice. My husband has been going here for the past 15 years and he immediately converted me to a true fan right after we met. Our favorites are the: Steak Quesadilla Chicken Tomatillo Burrito (w/ no rice) Hot tip: Make sure to check out their salsa bar! All 3 salsas are insanely delicious. I actually do a secret concoction where I do a spoon of pico de Gallo and top it off with their spicy red salsa! Add a bit of this to each bite and you're up for a treat. Instagram: @jessgoeat

I can't speak to their other food but I love their steak burritos with guacamole and cheese.

As for the food/drinks, the happy hour was such a great deal. We got to try the mushroom choriqueso (which was our favorite item), Al Pastor tacos, taquitos, shrimp ceviche and two Mercado margaritas. All of this for about $70! Everything tasted great and came out super quick too. Service was absolutely amazing. Everyone's always checking up on you, making sure you're doing okay and there was never a time we were waiting on anything too long. What makes it worse is that this is not our first time with Mercado. We've been fans since the original location near The Grove and have been coming to this South Bay location for a while. We used to order takeout and dined in regularly and in the past the experience was much better. Unfortunately, that is clearly no longer the case. The service was atrocious from start to finish. We waited far too long for everything, including drinks. A single Tecate took about 30 minutes to arrive, which set the tone for the rest of the night. Nobody checked on us, nobody seemed attentive and we spent way too much of the evening just sitting there waiting. The food was equally bad. The carnitas nachos came out cold. The steak taco was rubbery. The fish tacos were incredibly dry. The birthday fajitas were also dry and underwhelming. For a place at this price point, there is really no excuse for food coming out like this. The overall atmosphere also felt off. What used to feel lively and welcoming now felt neglected and poorly managed. It was especially frustrating because this was supposed to be a birthday dinner and instead it turned into a long, overpriced, disappointing experience. It genuinely breaks my heart to write this because we have a long history with Mercado, but after this visit, we're done. There are too many better options in the South Bay to spend this kind of money on bad food, bad service and an overall miserable experience.

We were staying near LAX and I didn't want to drive too far, so we stumbled upon this Mexican spot in the cutest little downtown area ever. El Segundo, you are THAT b*tch! We arrived around 5:30 on a Saturday and were seated immediately (thank goodness). Our server was super duper friendly and even had multiple conversations with us throughout the meal, sharing anecdotes and talking to my tattoo artist friend about getting a tat from her LOL. We quickly ordered some chips and queso (not free) and were blown away by how creamy and tasty the queso was. The tortas were also delicious and easy to scoop a lot of cheese on to. On to the menu, they had a good variety of Mexican dishes, but the price point, man. I thought $4-5 a taco at Barrio Queen in Arizona was steep, but this place charged $7-8 for a single small taco. I would've been okay with any menu item since it's Mexican and nothing under that cuisine could be bad, but seeing each enchilada over $30, made me steer clear of the main entree dishes. I also knew I wanted to try fish tacos, so I just opted for one fish taco and one grilled taco, with a side of mashed black beans. Crazy that some black beans also were at least $5. The fish taco was nicely battered and the guacamole was ripe and creamy, but the grilled chicken taco was nothing spectacular. There was also cauliflower tacos and beef brisket tacos ordered among us. My friend who ordered the beef brisket taco rated it 7.5/10, whereas the cauliflower tacos were rated 9/10. The food also took at least 20 minutes to arrive at the table. Both sauces my tacos came with were extremely spicy so I didn't even touch those. My friends enjoyed their meals, and the side of green rice two of them got was rather tasty. Overall, our server was the best part of the experience. She really ate DOWN, whereas our food and the price point did not.

So like yesterday, I decided to stop by and grab a burrito, but unfortunately, this will be the last time. I usually visit this location with my dad. He's been coming to this location since before I was born and I'm damn near 40. But this time I came alone and the place was packed. They don't have a big seating area. It's like a bar with about four seats to the right and four seat seats to the left so it doesn't accommodate many people, so people order to go. And that was my plan. I walk in and the server (with his chef at and money taped to it) and I grab the same menu. He allows me to have it, and he grabs another and gives it to one of the customers. I say all this to say that he definitely knows exactly when I arrived. However, A white man walks up less than a minute later and for some reason he decides to ask him if he ready to order, as if I'm invisible. This was the second time that this happened to me today and God knows how many times has happened to me in life. So at some point, I just have to stop ignoring the fact that Black people aren't welcome in certain spaces. Maybe we are by law, but not at all met with respect! That is all!
