This review is for Pacific BMW Service Department. Wow! Talk about HORRIBLE customer service. I purchased brand new factory front and rear brake pads along with brand new front and rear sensors for my 2020 BMW x5. I decided to have my brakes replaced by my mechanic of over 20 years (its brakes, not rocket science). If the dealer would charge reasonable prices, of course I would get it done there but their prices are absurd! Regardless, I paid 3x the cost of aftermarket parts to get the best possible parts and sure enough 2 of the sensors are defective. I called Mike right away and told him about the situation and he said we can't just replace the part, you have to bring it into service for us to be sure that that's the problem. I take time off work as they said they will take care of it promptly and it will be a quick in and out process. Although, I get there and they make me wait for 30 minutes and told me the advisor will be with me shortly. After waiting patiently, I go inside to see the advisor, John Vazquez sitting at his desk on his phone (keep in mind I had to leave work in a rush to take care of this). I tell him about the situation and he immediately says "it's going to be $250 for us to take a look at it." Immediately, you can tell from his tone that no matter what the problem may be, he's going to say the problem was not their parts. Such a horrible attitude and way to deal with the customer. No wonder this dealers reviews are going down the tubes. It's very obvious. I've been coming to this dealership for over 13 years now and recommending everyone here, but this was the final straw. I just decided to buy the parts again rather than waste my valuable time with these guys and get aggravated. I'd recommend everyone who has a bad experience take the time out of your day and share your experience. Sooner or later, once this location has 1 review people will catch on and take their business elsewhere. Lost a valuable customer over $60.00. Note to corporate: John Vasquez - Service Advisor - corporate should send a customer undercover to this guy and checkout his attitude. Also let him know if there is a customer waiting in service, you should get off your phone and go help them. Or go in the back somewhere and play with your phone, not behind a glass window where the customer can see you as they're anxiously waiting. UPDATE: It took my mechanic 15 minutes to change the two defective sensors. Problem solved. Cheap quality sensors that are stamped BMW. Was interested in a new 3 series or X3. I walked in without an appointment and had to wait for a salesperson to show us to the cars I was interested in, which is totally fine. However what's not fine is the salesperson we were put with assuming my budget and telling me "oh the X3 we have is a 6-cylinder, might be out of your price range." Without any prior knowledge of what my budget would be. I said, "nope that's fine I'd like to look at it." He showed me a few cars, I asked to test drive a 3 Series that i fell in love with and then I was told I couldn't drive it because I wasn't 21 yet. I found this to be complete BS. In 2021, I leased a car from this shady dealership. Six months later, rainwater started leaking into the back seat. I took the car to a downtown dealership, and they told me they couldn't help because the car had been in an accident, and both the driver's and back doors had been completely replaced. I was absolutely shocked since this was never disclosed to me when I signed the lease. When I checked CarMax, there was no record of the accident. The dealership hid this critical detail in tiny font at the bottom of one page buried among 100 others. Now it's clear why they were rushing me to sign everything quickly without reading. Sure, I should have been more careful, but let's be real that doesn't give them a free pass to scam me. For three years, I brought the car back three separate times to fix the rainwater issue. Three times! And guess what? They never fixed it. Rainwater kept coming in, and they didn't care. These people are absolute crooks. Fast forward to November. I went in for the inspection before returning the lease, and they told me the front tires needed replacing. Fine I replaced them, put the new tires in the back, and moved the perfectly fine back tires to the front. A week later, I returned the car for my scheduled appointment at 11:20 AM. They made me sit in their lobby for over two hours. Then, the inspector finally comes out and says there's a "small cut" on the front tire (which was already there during the initial inspection) and they're charging me $300. Are you kidding me?! The "cut" was a barely noticeable 1 cm mark on the side. Let me make this crystal clear the people working at this dealership from the service department to sales are nothing but trained thieves. They scam, they lie, and they exploit their customers at every chance. I should have sued them for failing to fix the rainwater issue, but I'll say this: I hope someone does. They are disgusting, dishonest, and completely unprofessional. If you want to waste your money and your sanity, go ahead and buy a car from these clowns. Otherwise, stay far away from these con artists. They're not running a dealership they're running a scam. read more

Taking my car to Pacific BMW was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a dealership. I brought it in not just for a check engine light, but also for several other serious issues--including the tire hitting the fender liner and rattling noises throughout the car. Instead of actually diagnosing or addressing anything, they blamed me without any proof, flagged the vehicle, and wrote "outside influence" in the notes--clearly racially motivated. This was blatant discrimination, not just negligence. For context, this is my fifth BMW, and I've never had any issues with any of my cars--until I came to Pacific BMW. The way I was treated here was not just unacceptable, it was disgusting. They tamper-sealed the entire engine without cause and then refused to remove it. They ignored multiple clear problems, dismissed my concerns, and refused to show me any fault codes. Their technician notes were completely false and fraudulent. I had to involve the California Bureau of Automotive Repair and the New Vehicle Board just to get any legitimate attention. On a second visit, for the same unresolved issues, they continued to blame me--even though they were the ones who sealed the engine. They performed warranty work but still falsely documented it as "outside influence." That's not just dishonest--it's slanderous. They stopped making the A3 Etron a couple years ago and I really didn't like any of their other cars. I was in the market for a new car as my 2012 X5 was on its last legs. As a loyal BMW gal now, I came to Pacific BMW to see what pre-owned vehicles they had in the lot (brand new is a little out of my reach still). I'd been perusing X3s online, and they had two available. One was a 2021 but not kitted out with all of the packages I'd become accustomed to, so Bob (the super friendly, not pushy, very supportive sales advisor I was set up with) showed me the other option which was a 2020 but fully stocked with all of the premium, convenience, safety, and M sport packages. It was pricier (read: out of my budget, as I had planned to pay cash in full upfront), but after sitting in it and taking a little test drive on the local streets, I fell in love -- I had to have it! Side note: in the interim between my first and second visits to the dealership, I naturally found myself browsing other fully stocked X3s online. I sent Bob the link to one that had the same exact set up but less miles and for basically the same price, but from a non-BMW dealership. I knew Bob wasn't your steroetypical car salesman when he said it looks good! Instead of trying to persuade me that the one he was showing me was better. In the end I knew I liked his one better as it was the color I wanted (the other one I found was a bright blue). But I think that was a good (unintentional) litmus test of whether he was interested in what was best for me or what was best for him. Back to my long-winded story -- I made an appointment with Bob again a couple days later to inspect the car more thoroughly for any issues, as I was already 95% sure I wanted to find a way to make this car mine before someone else scooped it up. He let me take it on the freeway -- it drove so smoothly, was plenty powerful, and had all of the added features I wanted -- my mind was made up. I put down in cash the majority of the cost with the amount I had originally put aside for a car. Then we ran my credit to finance the remainder (something I was unfamiliar with, I've always bought my cars in full in cash, never financed, never leased). I was approved! I picked up my immaculate pre-owned X3 the next day as I had to get a cashier's check from my bank. It was detailed, tank filled, every minor issue I asked about was dealt with, and all with a big red bow on top! Bob took the time to show me how to use every single electronic interior and exterior feature, and fielded any and every question I had. Spending this much on a car was not in my plan when I set out looking for a new one, and I honestly felt a bit of anxiety about it. But Bob made this entire experience extremely easy and not stressful at all, which is not usual for such a big purchase. He made me feel very comfortable and unpressured, and he explained financing to me in layman's terms and helped me make the choice that felt best for me. I know some of the reviews here aren't the best, but my personal experience was extemely positive. Very very pleased with the service I received and this purchase. Oh and tip: take advantage of the free (surprisingly good) coffee and tea in their lounge, you want to be awake and aware when you're making such a huge decision! read more

I saw the car online the night before and called them first thing Saturday morning to see if they had the car. He had to double check and contacted me less than 5 minutes and told me they had it and to swing by. I let him know that my son has soccer and that I couldn't stay long and he completely understood. My son and I got there and I saw the car and fell in love. I was a bit hesitant because of my experience driving the X3. I never saw a X4 in person so I was a bit surprise with the style, but I knew I wanted that car. He offered to show me other cars that they had in stock since I was bit unsure. Not once did he rush or push me to make up my mind. Due to my time constraints I gave him the green light and headed to my son soccer practice. Not a fan of their business practice of notifying you in a text message that you're due for service on your vehicle and then a subsequent text message stating you're booked for an appointment on a specific date and time that you never authorized or requested. Odd how I should receive a text message stating my car is due for service and then within minutes receive another text message stating my appointment is on such and such date. I never requested that appointment. They just somehow set it for me. So I had to waste my time in contacting them to clear this up. Why would they make an appointment for me without clearing it with me first? Bad business practice. A waste of time to have to fix this. read more

My second bad lease return experience and I will never come back to this dealer again. I got a inspection right before i returned the lease and they told me I had to pay $300 for my right rear tire. I asked them to re inspect the tire with me watching. I told them that its almost a brand new tire that I replaced because the tire popped. Then he goes "oh i think I checked the wrong tire, Its the left one." Then he tells me the left rear tire is little above 4 which doesnt pass. Then they say I have a brake fluid light on and that is $750 if I dont get that serviced before the lease return. Ive never heard this B.S. before. So, I had to get my car again and go back to the service dept. and get it serviced. While I took my car to the service, I asked my service adviser how much thread I have left on the rear left tire and he tells me 4.5 which passes the lease requirement. So all in all, this dealer is a joke. They are trying to make every money back for a car they are going to make more money on. I will never come back and buy another car from this dealer.
