The restaurant has a bright, airy interior and fun decoration to reflect their California coast vibe. The waiters were attentive without being overbearing. It was busy on a Friday, so would recommend making a reservation -- we did so same-day and it saved us a wait. The food and drinks here were tasty -- my favorites included the piña colada, coconut shrimp, crispy rice with salmon, and green curry salmon. Given that it's fresh seafood, the bill can get pricey -- most entrees are around $30, but would definitely come back for a nice dinner. My one knock is that everything was really rice-heavy -- the bowl had too much rice, the sushi roll also had too much rice, and I would go for the build-your-own option for a better value. My daughter treated us to dinner at this place tonight, and it was wonderful! Not sure why we haven't come here sooner, but definitely glad we did and will be back very soon to try more things! One of our favorite places to have date night but this was our first time making it for Happy Hour. We ordered and shared: fried fish taco, shrimp taco, short rib taco, and the pupu platter. This review is for a doordash order I made with Pacific catch. Food was delicious, got the Korean BBQ Bowl and the West coast salmon bowl. The KBBQ bowl was good and I thought the best thing was definitely the meat and the Brussels sprouts. I thought the kimchi fried rice didn't have any kimchi in it at all. When you even look at the rice, there's no kimchi in it, which is misleading to customers. Unless there's kimchi juice then it should've been listed in the menu instead of it being kimchi. While I tried the rice on its own, it didn't even taste like there was kimchi in general. Just mainly chili flakes. For the meat, I got medium rare and I definitely did not get that. It was clearly cooked thoroughly which was also disappointing. The salmon bowl was alright but I thought there was nothing really special about it. I added the extra protein of ahi tuna which they gave me plenty of but I thought my main protein of the salmon was really small, which doesn't really make sense. Definitely thought the salmon was a bit overcooked since it was getting tough while I was eating it. I did like the brown rice and quinoa though, it was made well and tasted flavorful throughout the dish. The hint of pistachios in the bowl were also a nice added texture to the dish too. Pick up was also fairly quick. Door dash said I needed to pick it up by 2:48 PM and I actually arrived 3 minutes earlier and my food was ready to get picked up when I told the hostess about my order. read more

I love Pacific Catch. I've been to several locations several times, including Santa Clara. What keeps me coming back is the great food, and friendly service. Today (Thurs., 6/12) I placed a pickup order for the first time, and I was pretty surprised at the rude behavior from the girl at the front when I arrived for order at 1:45 pm. She was acting like I was forcing her to be there. I don't know what kind of day she was having, but that was uncomfortable to experience, and doesn't make me want to come back to that location, especially when I drove through 30 minutes of traffic to buy food from this restaurant. Food was great as usual, even for it being takeout, but the unpleasant interaction I had with this person overshadows that. read more

The hubs and I have been eyeing this restaurant for a while and took it upon ourselves to finally try it out today. We got here an hour after opening, and it started to get filled up with the lunch crowd. We waited and were sat after several minutes. We sat against the left side of the restaurant and were given menus. This is where I wanted to get up and leave. The menus were disgusting - food bits and stains all over it! I didn't even want to touch it. After a while of us pondering at the menu, our order was finally placed by our server, who was nonexistent through the entire meal. The busser helped us out more often than the server. Inquiring about the Market Fish was useless. There were four types of fishes on the menu and another category (MP and ask about their selection of the day). I asked our server what today's option were and was told that they only had the four fish type available, and he walked away. For starters, we ordered the Cabo Calamari. Huge disappointment. It was soggy and bland, and the aioli was mediocre. Oh, we also weren't given any plates to serve ourselves, and we had to ask for it. Funny how everyone after us got their plates and utensils. I ordered the grilled salmon with Asian Herb chimichuri, Thai Brussels, and grilled broccolini. I had added shrimp to my protein. The best part of the meal was the Brussels sprouts, which was delicious and refreshing. The chimichuri paired well with the salmon. My husband chose the Striped Sea Bass Hawaiian Sea Salt, with added shrimp, Elote, and creamy mashed potatoes. He enjoyed the fish but was disappointed in the corn. I got to taste it and understood why. When we imagined elote, we thought it would be sweet, fatty, and cheesy. We got savory, sour, and dry. Overall, the three items we got cost us over 100 bucks without tips. I don't think we are coming back. With the price point, I expected cleaner menus, better service and better quality. read more

We came here for a late-night post-graduation dinner. We sought out this location in particular for its patio dining option. This is located in an upscale mixed commercial and residential development, and though it was fairly quiet when we arrived, the area seems like a potentially enjoyable place to stroll around. When making a reservation on OpenTable, our preferred time was not available so we expected a busy restaurant, but on arrival we found virtually the entire patio unoccupied. We were seated right by the fire table, which was pleasant but the gas fumes sometimes wafted in our direction. A server came to take our drink an appetizer order shortly after we were seated. For this graduation celebration we dined on: Cabo calamari - lightly breaded and fried, perhaps not especially unique as this is a standard preparation, but it was tasty nonetheless. We appreciated that there were plenty of tentacle pieces as we like the texture, but the body segments were tender. Latin chimichurri / yellowtail bowl - basically a large salad with lots of greens and other vegetables. The fish portion was a little small compared to the scale of the entire dish, but overall still a good choice. Yellowtail ceviche - a lighter dish, well-presented. This is intended to be eaten on tortilla chips, but it was actually more pleasant to eat it separately. Mixed seafood grill - kanpachi yellowtail, salmon, and shrimp. Shrimp was cooked properly but the other fish were just a little overdone and dry. One of the sides was "patatas bravas", basically a seasoned potato cube dish, which was very good. Fresh catch kanpachi yellowtail with Asian chimichurri - as with the seafood grill, the fish was a little overdone. The chimichurri flavor was nice. One of the sides was kimchi fried rice with an egg, and this was a very good accompaniment to the dish. One comment that we all had about our individual dishes is that they were just a little saltier than we would prefer. Service was fine. No one came by to check on whether we still had water in the bottle that was brought to the table after we were seated. The food came out at a relaxed pace, which was appreciated. I recently visited Pacific Catch and loved it! I came during a work event so I was able to try a variety of items from the menu. Coming in, the service for our large party was amazing. The waitress was very attentive even during the lunch rush and accurately took all of our orders and placed the dishes for our table. I tried several appetizers: Brussels sprouts, sweet potato fries, calamari, and coconut shrimp. They tasted great. The coconut shrimp was especially crispy and it's crunch added to its flavor. The Brussels sprouts were soft and cooked through. The sparking blood orange lemonade was also very good as it wasn't too carbonated but having it bubbly lifted the orange flavor and balanced out the overall sweetness. The Japanese wasabi bowl was an interesting mix. I think there was too much dressing for me, as it has pooled significantly underneath my rice and vegetables. However, the tuna was fresh and was complemented by the flavor of the dressing. I would've liked to see more greens on the plate and more variety in the bowl overall. There wasn't enough avocado or cucumber salad to really enjoy it all together throughout the progress of eating the bowl. After this lunch event, I returned during happy hour. I got to try their guava-rita and mojito off of that menu. Their happy hours were 4-6pm on weekdays (yes, including Friday!). I really enjoyed the kick from both drinks and their balanced sweetness and fruity flavors. Unfortunately we were sat off the side of the bad, so service was not as good. We had to flag down servers several times before getting any service. They also had a hard cutoff for 6pm at the end of happy hour so it made us more stressed to get waiters' attention to put in our orders. At this happy hour, I tried their trio plate with the poke and ceviches. While I thought the tastes were good, I don't think there was enough to share or enjoy. I wish there could've been more. Overall, I would consider coming again to try their pitchers or otherwise. I also wished there were more vegetarian options for the happy hour menu. There are so many Pacific Catch locations around the Bay, so I'm surprised I haven't tried it until now! Everything we ate was delicious, and they gave generous portions. I loved our guaco-poke appetizer! I ordered the Japanese Wasabi bowl with extra crab salad protein for my main dish and it was super yummy. The crab salad was made with real crab, and all the components of the dish complemented each other well when mixed together. It was quite a lot of ginger, but it is easy to take out some if it is too strong for your personal preference. Parking in this area is so bad. There is a parking structure about a block away - if it seems like a busy time of day, just go straight there. When I went, they were not charging a fee to use that lot. read more
