We went to eat at the new Brea location, their place is beautiful and the food is amazing. My husband was disappointed on his order the food was good he just expected it to be different. The manager Eric came over to apologize, and sent him another dish free that my husband loved. That's a great manager. Our server Minnie was very good, my husband ordered a martini,, and she said " I'll wait to see if you like it". This place has many options with Asian & Hawaiian inspired dishes but misses the mark on getting the right flavors down. The sticky ribs ($16.5) were overly salted with no focused flavor & dry. It tasted just like soy sauce & no notable Korean flavors. I ordered the chirashi bowl ($27.95) which includes 3 types of ahi tuna. The portion was fair. The pickled cucumbers didn't have that usual sweet taste & didn't taste authentic. The pokes were heavily lacking flavor despite the marinade. I had to ask for extra sauces to mix in. I'd rather go to a fast casual poke restaurant & order a cheaper, tastier bowl there. The server was friendly & informed us of their Friday special. There is an abundance of parking spots in the plaza. Inside, they have a good amount of seating with a gorgeous interior and ambiance that can be described as a west coast boho meets islander type of vibe. Wifey and I stopped by for lunch around 12pm and were seated right away upon arrival. For their menu, most of it is seafood focused with different appetizers, salads, bowls, sushi, tacos, burgers, and more! We decided on trying the Wagyu Cheeseburger, the Hawaiian Salmon Bowl, and the Sparkling Blood Orange Lemonade to wash it all down. Everything that we had tasted delicious, healthy, and fresh! We went here for lunch and was excited to try it based on the reviews. Here's our experience: Ambiance= 10! The place was clean, airy, and had a Hawaiian trendy vibe. The restroom were clean and stocked. The outside patio was refreshing with shaded areas, fans for hot days, and heaters for those cool ones. Service= 9! The greeter and servers were friendly, accommodating, and the food was served within 15 minutes. Food= 2. We ordered calamari, the Salmon ( macadamia sauce) and the Kanpachi fish. My partner liked his Kanpachi. As for the Salmon, I had major stomach pains after eating it. I am not sure if the cause was the macadamia sauce or the spicy Tahini sauce. We were a last-minute group of 10 who requested a table on the patio at 5 PM. Pacific catch came through 100% with that request. Each of us ordered from the happy hour menu somewhere were surprised at how large the fish tacos were but everyone enjoyed their food. I haven't been to Pacific Catch in Tustin for several years. That was because the service at the bar was so awful. The bartenders were standing at the end of the bar and ignore all the patrons. I made a reservation for Saturday night. When we came inside we noticed it was half empty. We were surprised because they had many open tables and it was not busy at all. There was only one woman ahead of us who had no reservation. Once the host greeted us it was a HUGE HUGE red FLAG. Her tone, her attitude and the way she approached us seemed like she had no experience being a host. I have eaten at many different levels of restaurants from fast-casual to Michelin. She seemed like she had no experience. We told her we had a reservation for tonight and asked if we could sit at a booth. She said there is no booth available. We pointed out that one of the booths was empty and she said that the lady in front of us was taking it even though she just walked in with no reservation. The host kept forcing us to sit at the bar or outside more than 10 times. Who even asks a customer to sit other places when we say no? Obviously she knew she did something wrong. We kept saying no and she refused to listen. It was very rude and frustrating because she was very pushy to have us sit outside. We had already selected indoor seating when making the reservation. Obviously she has no experience being a host and no hospitality experience at that. Why force someone to sit outdoors or at the bar when we choose standard? She brushed us off without any kind of apology. She did not even care about us or try to find any solution. We decided to leave because it is not worth it to complain or speak with a manager because they will do nothing. This restaurant obviously has no idea how to manage. When we walked out of the door she walked and checked the door to see where we were heading. Excuse me, it sounds very creepy to see where we left. I will warn everyone do NOT eat at this restaurant. We literally had ONE waiter who had to do everything (no bussers helping and there was someone in the front doing nothing) and then this one waiter we have I found out later also had to wait on tables inside. Anyways the menu looked super appetizing at first, but that's about it. It was lacking flavor, dry and overcooked. We got the pupu platter and the surf and turf ($50) and for that portion and dry lobster not worth it. Also the mashed potatoes it came with was not good at all, drenched in butter or oil or something. It was not worth taking a second bite. The place overall is very nice and clean and modern. If one of these is off, the rest suffer. Pacific Catch has four key elements that are nearly perfect. The restaurant is beautiful! One of the nicest in Irvine. I would say this could be a place where hundreds of patrons would wait in line to visit. It is just stunning! The service is great. The restaurant in managed very well. Everyone who works there seems happy and content. The food is healthy. The menu is designed well. It has lots of pictures which is what I like. Everything is five stars up to the last point: taste. The food was bland, cold, and seemed reheated like cafeteria food. It all started to go bad when our spicy Korean ribs arrived. Although we waited fifteen minutes for the ribs, they were room temperature. This leads me to conclude they were reheated and not cooked to order. They were bland. My chicken bowl was okay. The chicken was cooked, but smothered in a very salty teriyaki sauce. It was what I would expect at a cafeteria. The worst dish was our shrimp bowl. There are at least three levels or qualities of shrimp you can buy at the market: the five dollars a pound precooked shrimp, the seven dollars a pound shrimp with the heads on, and the ten or more dollar high quality shrimp. The bowl cost us $21.00 for five dollar shrimp. The shrimps were small and precooked. Ugh. The taste and quality of the food was inferior to what we should expect from a seafood restaurant. read more

We asked for it to be heated and it came back Luke warm. Waiter was good. Miso cod fish was very good. Then despite us trying to celebrate my mother's 93rd birthday and mother's Day we were rushed to leave by management. They said they had signs out limiting dining times. Open Table reservations didn't warn us of any limit. Three times they bothered us at the table with that nonsense. Then they gave finally us a time we had to leave by which was beyond our intended departure time any way. Really put a damper on our celebratory meal. Don't think we will be going back. read more

Pacific Catch is always my go to! Their food is always fresh and I am surprisingly delighted with their new menu. The staples that I love are still there, like the fried calamari, Thai Brussels, and the fish and chips with sweet potato fries. But my husband's Ahi Poke Serrano salad and taco platters looked delicious too! It was a little bit gloomy today, but the manager were great to turn on the fire pit so it was actually quite cozy! Started with the popcorn shrimp that came out super super quick. All of it did - really! Delicious breading and satisfying crunchiness. I got a guava margarita too, no agave. Delicious and served in a cute cup (but no salt on the rim ). The boy got a thai tea! For entrees, i went with the ceviche sampler which was plenty for me and gave me that "flight"-esque variety i always look for. All of them were stellar but the shrimp ceviche really stood out. I honestly really enjoyed this establishment. Sat outside on the patio on a nice Saturday afternoon. Made it for "Aloha Hour" which surprised me they had on weekends (from 3-6pm)! The drinks were super fresh, the Spicy Pacific (not too spicy) was my favorite (sorry forgot to take a pic). The cod taco was amazing and the Serrano ahi poke was delish!
