We got a complimentary California Roll because they said that it turned out to be a wrong order for someone else. It worked out for us because our daughter has Type 1 diabetes and she was getting low, so she got to eat immediately! This was pretty good because they used real crab meat and that's why we all liked it. Daughter ordered the Chirashi Bowl - Ahi Three Ways, which has original poke, Serrano poke, sesame-seared ahi, ponzu, wake spicy cucumber and sushi rice. She loved this plate and it was her favorite entree. This was pretty fresh and a different take on the chirashi bowl. Hubs had the Miso Black Cod, which is broiled, glazed Alaska sablefish with furikake rice, sesame green beans. He liked this a lot and said that it could use 30 seconds less on the grill, but he still liked it. Lastly I had the Lobster Roll, which has butter-warmed lobster, griddled Hawaiian rolls, sesame slaw, and choice of fries or salad. I got the sweet potato fries and thought they were nice and crunchy. Hubs was nibbling on it like crazy. LOL. The lobster roll was pretty nice and buttery. The Hawaiian rolls were a nice touch. I attended a work dinner at Pacific Catch, and I was pleasantly surprised by the freshness and assortment of foods they offer. My personal favorites were the sea bass skewers (so buttery and melt in your mouth, we had to order more), the skirt steak with chimichuri sauce, and the spicy tuna roll (perfect amount of savoriness and spicy kick). My friends and I went there for dinner on Sunday and it wasn't too crowded. We were able to be seated right away. It's a brand new remodeled location, so the decor feels clean and fresh. The salmon was nicely cooked, moist and flaky, not too dry. It is paired with avocado and served in a sesame seed bun that holds the sandwich together without being too dense. The cole slaw was a standard accompaniment and offered a fresh counterpoint. It's a burger that manages to feel lighter than beef, which I appreciated. The coconut shrimp were also quite good. They had that desirable crispy, sweet coating, and the shrimp themselves were tender. They're a reliable appetizer, easy to share with one or two others. I've seen this place in passing while coming to the Tustin Market place to shop, and finally I got to dine here for the first time. We didn't have a reservation on that Saturday evening, but they were kind enough to accomodate our party of four since it was fairly early and not too crowded yet. Decent size interior with plenty of tables and a warm tropical vibe. Our server was hustling at her busy section, so it took a bit for her to get to us. Nonetheless, she was apologetic when she came to finally greet us and take our food and order (all good). With so many options to choose from. My sister and her boyfriend decided with the Grilled Salmon Bowl and Original Ahi Poke Bowl, which were massive portions. They both enjoyed, and even had leftovers to take home. My husband and I shared the Mixed Catch Platter (equally huge), and he also got a single hand roll (of some sort) as well. I haven't been to Pacific Catch in Tustin for several years. That was because the service at the bar was so awful. The bartenders were standing at the end of the bar and ignore all the patrons. My boyfriend and I decided to try it again and what a pleasant surprise. Not only was the food good on the bar menu, the service from Bree behind the bar was exceptional. We returned for a second visit on a Saturday evening and the restaurant was packed! I wanted to try something different so I ordered the Sashimi Hand Roll Salmon and the Miso Black Cod. Food quality was just as fresh and consistent as our last visit. I also tried the Soy-Ginger Chilean Sea Bass, but I still prefer the black cod. I washed my meal down with a refreshing POG. I decided to try out Pacific Catch again one day since I got a free bowl reward from the app. I got the West Coast bowl with shrimp to-go and sadly did not enjoy it. The shrimp was extremely salty (had to spit it out) and the flavors in the bowl were severely lacking- there was no sauce or anything! The greens were dry, the cauliflower was unseasoned... I'd probably give this a 3.5 for this visit. It was my first time at Pacific Catch. I've driven by many times and always wanted to try it. This review is based on the Aloha Hour Menu mainly. We ordered the Pupu Plater and some drinks to start. It's basically a sampler of apps but also includes some grilled sea bass. We really enjoyed all the food included in this sampler. The Guacapoke was probably our favorite. Our server was awesome! The break down was in the order delivery and bussing areas. There was clearly a shortage in staff or just untrained support staff. It took a long wait to get our platter. We had basically already finished our drinks. The food that was warm, like the sliders, coconut shrimp and sea bass had good flavor but by the time we got it, it was mostly like warm. We order a little more food including more coconut shrimp (came with 7 but menu said it only had 5, no complaints there) a shrimp taco, and a shrimp tempura roll. The coconut shrimp were hot this time but seemed and looked undercooked inside, the shrimp taco was well received and the shrimp tempura roll was probably the worst shrimp tempura roll I e ever had. Wet chewy seaweed, harden rice and little to no flavor or creativity in the plating. The Kimchi Fried Rice was average at best. The Lava Cake was good. We liked the patio and it's a dog friendly outside. We may try it again with the hopes it was just an off day. Our server was so good she's why we'll try it again! read more

We placed an online order here last night for dinner and were very disappointed by the quality of the food. We woke up in the middle of the night with stomach cramps and one of us threw up. We both had to use the bathroom numerous times, and we are still not feeling well despite having to go to work this morning. For the bowl we got, my friend subbed shrimp instead of salmon and she said the shrimp was overly salty and bitter. The bowl was lacked sauce and flavor, it was definitely not worth the hefty price of $24. The calamari was sliced so thin that you were mostly eating batter instead of meat. There were many pieces that were so small and thin you couldn't even tell whether there was meat inside. My baja taco was soggy, and the steak taco barely had any steak in it, it was primarily cabbage. The grilled chilean sea bass taco was the best tasting item we got out of everything. On top of all that, the black beans were missing from my 3 taco platter. The quality of the food has severely declined since the last time we went to this location. They also got rid of the a la carte tacos, forcing you to choose a 2 or 3 taco platter (very greedy of them). My daughter loves their Double Rainbow Bowl. Both our come with fresh sashimi, rice, salad and seaweed salad. We both enjoyed our dishes. I will say the server we got was a bit aloof and racing to leave at each point of contact . I ordered the shrimp tacos and my partner ordered the fish tacos , we both got fries. The protein was really good on both dishes, black beans with sprinkled cotija cheese ( comes with it ) were underwhelming and the fries were subpar, soggy . Disappointed. Seabass main dinner was mostly bread and sauce with the Mac crusted preparation. Where is the fish? Clam chowder was served cold. We asked for it to be heated and it came back Luke warm. Waiter was good. Miso cod fish was very good. Then despite us trying to celebrate my mother's 93rd birthday and mother's Day we were rushed to leave by management. They said they had signs out limiting dining times. Open Table reservations didn't warn us of any limit. Three times they bothered us at the table with that nonsense. OC restaurant week is back March 2-8! And that means good eats at an even better deal. Got the dinner for 2 for $100 which came with an appetizer, two entrees and a dessert. For the trio sampler we chose the serrano ahi poke, yellowtail ceviche, and shrimp ceviche. I loved the variety of veggies and chips on the side to eat the sampler with. The ceviches were so citrusy and bright but the ahi poke was very lacking in flavor - it wasn't spicy or tasted like much of anything at all. We also got a house salad with a side of dressing. It was very tasty and I love how the shitake mushrooms added a meaty element to the salad. The surf and turf/surf and surf was delicious and sooo decadent. Everything was seasoned to perfection - the broccolini was tossed in a chili miso sauce that was both savory and had a spicy kick. The mashed potatoes were buttery and velvety. The skirt steak had a sweet Korean fusion flavor marinade. And I'm a sucker for Hawaiian rolls; they were simply heated up on the griddle but so warm and soft on the inside but crispy on the outside. Dessert was a pineapple "right side up" cake which was okay. I found the caramel sauce way too sweet and the grilled pineapple on the bottom much too hard/not grilled enough. I would pass if it weren't included in the meal. We also got a drink from the winter menu: the cranberry margarita. The best way to describe it is it tasted like the holidays. Hints and notes of warm spices, rosemary and cranberry bring be in front of a fireplace in a cozy decorated house with snow falling outside haha. Went with a meetup group of about 12 for dinner. Pacific catch was a nice restaurant offering various seafood options and a selection of craft cocktails. As a large group we were seated together, 8 at 1 table and 4 at a table right next to the bigger one. Service was good, our server was attentive and even split the check for each individual which was super helpful and took all of the drama of individuals adding up their orders and contribute their portions. First to start the bottle of water brought to the table almost made us want to leave. If we hadn't already order and had hungry kids we probably would have.
