Found this place through yelp and decided to try it out. Overall experience was good. There's a good selection on the menu to bring your non-seafood people with you. I would definitely go back. -There is a parking garage right by the restaurant and another down the block (both free), so parking shouldn't be an issue. -We were seated pretty quickly, but the food took a little long to come out after we ordered. -The food was good! Visited for lunch best experience I have had at Pacific Catch. The manager even checked on us to make sure we were taken care of and food was ordered. This is an improvement from other visits at this location. Had the oysters, taco, bowl and cocktails. All served and presented exceptionally. I would rate my experience here zero stars if that was an option. Our service was atrocious. After waiting over an hour our server finally acknowledged the fact that we still hadn't received our order. She realized she never put it in for us. She never apologized. Once our food arrived an additional 20 minutes later the order was incorrect. We were not only ignored by our server but we were ignored by the general manager who walked by us several times. The resolution to our bad service was to offer to "buy" our desert. We are all collectively dieting thus why we chose this option. So we declined. There was no sincerity behind any of our interactions here. I could care less about the actual food at this point. read more

Love this place! The hospitality is wonderful. The girls at the front tonight, one was blonde and the other has dark, short curly hair, they were so welcoming and sweet. Service was slow and the food was just so so. There were only a few tables with customers so being busy is not an excuse for slow service. It took several minutes after we were seated at a table for someone to bring us a menu and utensils. We ordered three mixed drinks, of which only two were delivered together. The third came several minutes later, so we had to wait so all of us could enjoy our drinks together. The rising sun roll I ordered was very bland and disappointing. I couldn't taste any shrimp tempura inside at all. It tasted mostly of diced cucumber. That's it. After it came, I then had to ask for soy sauce to dip it in. That arrived several minutes later. My chicken taco was also bland. When I asked for some hot sauce or pico de gallo, I was given Sriracha mixed with what tasted like ketchup. They didn't even have a bottle of the usual Tapario to offer. I won't be going back. There are much better places to eat. read more

We usually go to the Dublin location, but tried this for a change. Pretty restaurant, but the service was absolutely awful. Which was crazy because there were 3 different people who came to our table- one with water that never got refilled, one who took our order, and one who delivered food. But no one checked to see how the food was, no one came to take payment after we asked the hostess for the bill, no one came to refill water after we emptied the bottle. Sticky ribs are fantastic, food is good but because the service was so awful we won't be coming back to this location any time soon:( read more

We try to make P C at least a couple times a month. The food is good and the price is quite reasonable. We've been really impressed with one of the waiters, so much that each time we ask for Edgar. The food has not always been cooked as we like, but they have made it over and we appreciate they care to please their customer. Their special customizable fish dishes are very good and priced right. We treated ourselves to a fantastic dinner. Our server was Violetta and she picked my fish. Wild Opah with turmeric coconut sauce and charred cauliflower. I was so happy with my dinner I talked about it the whole way home. We started with Calamari it was a good serving to share. He got a rockfish ceviche and sliced Ahi Sashimi it was great. Ahi just melted . My daughter got sushi good ok Call roll and another tuna and tempura. Service was so friendly and she talked up the happy hour so yes we are coming back to visit. This place has the best grilled tofu of anywhere! I eat vegan so I always get one of the bowls. Our waiter tonight was Gimi. He is a very thoughtful and considerate server, going so far as to make sure that it was completely vegan. I had never thought of it before but I'm glad he went the extra mile. A bit of a madhouse on the weekends-- very echo-ey and kid friendly--May not be very date/intimate friendly due to kids and noise but booths look better. Flavors are better than average. Fish is good fresh quality cooked very well. What a great addition to the WC restaurant scene. While quite pricey, the portions are quite large with scrumptious food. We started with the calamari which was perfectly cooked, had very expensive drinks from the bar and each ordered main dishes as well. My husband's fish was delish, but the only small portion for a pricey fish. My salad with shrimp atop was delectable and enough for two-three people to share. I came here with my parents and sister and overall we thought the food was good, I loved my steak tacos - delicious! However, I'm giving this place two stars due to their customer service. The food was rushed where the appetizer and main dishes came out all at the same time, the service was slow in which we had to flag different waiters/waitresses down, and our waiter was distracted most of the time. Additionally, we came in when the restaurant was not full/busy, just a few groups seated here and there. First off, our waiter was polite initially and took our drink order. My mom asked to order an appetizer, and then he strutted away without answering, still jotting down our drink orders. After, he returned to give our drinks and take our meal orders. My dad and I both ordered sweet potatoes as our side fries, but when our orders came in - they were regular fries. We understand people make mistakes so we told him politely that we didn't receive our sweet potato fries and another waitress (possibly the manager since she was dressed differently) gave us a small plate of sweet potatoes and said "two on one plate", smiled and walked away. So we received a smaller amount of the fries we actually wanted. Lastly, this is when we decided to put a review on here, BEWARE THE WATER IF ITS NOT CLEAR!!! Our first glasses were clear water. They delivered a new bottle of water and when my sister and I refilled our glasses with the new bottle, our water was a bit murky and not clear. When we compared with our parents glasses, there was a definite distinction. When we finally flagged down our waiter and pointed it out, he flat out smiles and says "oh! It's just soap. It wasn't washed thoroughly" and he walked away. SOAP!!!! AND HE WALKED AWAY. Did not even give us clean water. Don't think I'll be coming back here to be honest. Food is good, but you have to make the effort to make sure that the employees here are paying attention to your needs. read more

My boyfriend and I eat at the bar here at least once a week but only on Mondays and Thursdays because we come for Dina, who is one of the best bartenders in Walnut Creek. We eat out in Walnut Creek 4 nights a week and wherever we go we always sit at the bar so we have solid benchmarks and expectations. We've never frequented "chain" restaurants before but Pacific Catch in Walnut Creek has changed our perspective. Certainly the fresh and delicious food makes a difference, but the true differentiator is the service from bartender Dina. Besides being lovely, fun and hospitable, she always gets our drink and special menu requests (less oil, sauce on the side, extra lettuce, etc.) perfect. We used to be regulars at Scott's and the Walnut Creek Yacht Club but now we are regulars at Pacific Catch. Dina is also an expert reader of her customers. The first time she ever served me she recommended the "West Coast Bowl". I ordered it and loved it and have continued to order it on every visit. Sometimes on nights when Dina isn't working I'll order it for takeout. Dina works seamlessly with the kitchen and expeditor staff who love working with her, which you can see from the smoothness of the service as well as what they say about Dina. Over the past 6 months Dina has become so much more than a bartender - she is our friend and the reason we and the friends we've brought here continue to return to Pacific Catch in Walnut Creek. read more

They did a wonderful job accommodating for our large group of 12. We initially made our reservation on open table but then needed to add some more people, they said it's not a problem they were putting us on the patio so it would be easy to add people if we needed. When we got there our table was ready with waters filled up for everyone. Our server was great- he took our order in a timely manner and brought out our food all together. The only thing a couple of the girls were not fans of was the miso soup- when it first came out it was not hot so they took it back and heated it to but after that they still said it didn't taste that great. Everything was super tasty. I ordered the mixed catch which was pretty much all fried everything, the fish was my favorite! We also did a pitcher of margarita... boy was that strong and tasty! This restaurant gets a single star because of a serious and dangerous error in our order, and mostly because of the way the General Manager responded. Restaurant is fine otherwise. Our server, Justin, was excellent and the rest of the staff was friendly. Four for dinner, one of whom has a serious allergy to citrus. In placing an order for her meal this was explained, and the order was "Plain fish - no seasoning and certainly no cirtus". Server acknowledged and repeated that he understood. When the dish arrived, there was a lemon on the plate, touching the fish, lemon in the sauced drizzled on the fried rice and lemon sauce covering the fish. Note: it's not unusual for restaurants to have difficulty with this request - most often it is the expediter who grabs a plate and squeezes lemon without checking the ticket. We know it's a challenge and are apologetic about the special order and gentle about calling attention to the problem. When we pointed this out, the server said, "I'll get a manager" - which made me laugh out loud as I thought every organization had learned to give the front-line employee the authority to fix such a simple problem. What was this, 1950? The manager (I think she said General Manager, but she also didn't give her name) arrived and when we shared what had happened, she immediately began to argue, saying "they don't put lemon on it". Pointing to the actual 1/2 grilled lemon and the sauces, she continued to claim it couldn't happen, "well, the grill a lemon, but don't squeeze lemon". Taken aback - I've never had anyone in a restaurant argue like that - we offered to have her taste it and pointed to the sauces. At this point, she agreed to have another dish prepared. When that arrived, it was as ordered. The negative review is because of the manager's response to a very simple problem. Another manager came by later to check on us, and they did offer a free dessert as compensation for the error. We also got sympathetic nods and eye rolls from other staff members who observed. Food was fine. Not outstanding, but fresh and certainly would be worth another visit if we could trust the kitchen. Greeters and Servers were friendly and helpful. But, having such a negative experience from the person who is leading the operation doesn't allow for that sort of trust. read more

All 3 times I'd get a grilled filet from the fresh catch page then ordered it pescado style over the kale/mushrooms. Amazing, would highly recommend this place. Came here for dinner last night. Food was decent, ordered the Korean bbq bowl. It was tasty, but a little too sweet for me. If you order this, I'd recommend getting the sauce on the side. The rice/quinoa was swimming in sauce. I wish they would ask about the steak cooked temperature too. It was cooked about medium well and it was just awful. Really chewy and tough. I'm pretty sure it's a skirt steak so it made the meat difficult to eat. The sea food items were fresh and tasty. Server was polite, and attentive to our party. Food took awhile to come out, maybe 50+ minutes ? Was getting a bit hangry but luckily we ordered a couple appetizers. Got too hungry when it came out so missed that photo opportunity. Restaurant clean, free of clutter, and organized. Overall experience was good, will probably come back if someone recommends it. Wouldn't come back if it was up to me. I didn't realize this new restaurant was open until I drove by the other day and saw people eating - so we decided to check it out for dinner to celebrate the end of my son's school year. We loved it! You often find service less than spectacular at newly opened restaurants - just due to ironing out the kinks - but not here! Our server, Jam, was awesome. He explained everything on the menu, brought us some small samples of the ceviches and pokes, made great recommendations, and was just a really fun guy. We ordered the shrimp ceviche, fish and chips, and petrale sole with crab mash. Everything was delicious. Our favorite was the petrale sole - my son literally cleaned his plate. Nothing left, he was almost licking the sauce off the plate. The fish and chips was also really good - moist fish with a delicious jalapeño tartar sauce and another Asian style sauce. I had wine (I like that you can get a carafe which is two glasses), my boyfriend had a really good strawberry lemonade and my son had a non alcoholic Mai Tai. That was fun since we were celebrating - I like that they have a lot of non alcoholic options! We also shared a couple of desserts - the macadamia nut brownie sundae and the cheesecake egg roll. Both delicious. We couldn't decide which was better! Pro tip - sign up for their app online for a free dessert.
