I've reached out to Pacific Coast Termite three times to schedule an estimate. Each time, the representative told me that somebody from the company would call me back to schedule an estimate. When I asked to representative why he could not schedule it for me, he responded very rudely. Today I have not received a call back. The little boys and little girls that are serving as the customer service Representatives definitely do not represent a reliable business. I'm not exactly sure where all of the high reviews have come from for this company, but based on my experience, I would not trust this company with anything regarding termites. read more

I found subterranean and regular termites in my house more than two years ago. Because I did not want to do all the removal things , I chose Pacific Termites. For subterranean, they needed to drill holes on the walls and my pavers. The job was rough, but I did not complain. Few months later, I found live subterranean in the treated area, since it was under warranty, I called them back to treat. Before my two year warranty up, the sales person suggested me to call the company for inspection. Not too much found. That was last November. This March, I found outside my shower wall puffy, so I decided to remodel my bathroom. Today the wall was opened, lots of termites and subterranean were found in the wood structure. There was no way inspector could find it. Now I think orange oil treatment maybe good for exposed wood, but not for covered wood structure. I would not recommend this type treatment. After the review posted, the manager asked me to contacting the company, they sent two technicians to help the situation. The technician did the treatment for subterranean and sprayed chemicals (to kill termites)on wood structure. I appreciate the company stepped forward to solve the issue, but I don't know how effective the chemical are. (Both subterranean and termites were found). read more

However, he said we have dry rot in our eaves and fascia. Fortunately they also do wood repairs. We agreed to have the repairs done by PCT. First the demolition crew came out and took down all the rotted wood. Next the carpenters arrived and replaced the wood. We found everyone we dealt with at PCT to be friendly and professional. The inspection cost $100, and he looked at the area I discovered, poked around in the attic and crawl space for another 45min. He recommended a 'tent job', which entails putting all your food items i plastic bags, vacating the premises for three (3) days and the the giant circus tent over your house. All for $3600 and a 2 yr warrantee. Then I called Pacific Coast. The inspection by Chad was thorough (2hrs) and professional. The quote was $2600, and comes with a 2yr warrantee. I was able to schedule the treatment within a week. Travis and Omar just left. They treated all bare wood surfaces in the attics and crawl spaces. I didn't have to bag up anything, or relocate our pets and ourselves. In less than half a day these two competent, polite service professionals were done. They cleaned up after themselves and were gone after an informative exit interview, about what exactly was done and what I should expect. I couldn't be more pleased! This review is for the actual product. In February 2018, we discovered termite frass in two of our window sills, at the corner of one room. We hired PCT to do the work, because their treatment does not require moving out and uses relatively safe chemicals. We had a previous home burglarized during a termite tenting, so we were hoping to avoid it. Two days after the first treatment, the frass was back. They told us to give it two weeks for the treatment to "get them all". The problem got worse, not better, so they came out in March and treated again. Everything seemed fine, for a year. Today: termite frass in the same windows. The work is still under warranty, but consider: there have been termites in the walls, eating the wood, for a year, undetected. AFTER we paid for treatment. They're coming back out to service it again, but, let's be honest: we're going to have to have the house tented by another company, and we've been informed that our warranty only covers retreating - no refund if we conclude that the work wasn't effective. So, yeah - I have to conclude that the reviews and exterminators I ignored were correct: orange oil and other similar treatments aren't effective at killing the entire colony, and are a waste of money. They uphold their warranty, and they appear to believe in their product, but I don't, not anymore. read more

I had heard about Pacific coast termite for many years on the radio and decided to give them a call a few days ago. I used to own multiple properties so I had an idea what the inspection would consist of @ today and inspection took place and I got to say I was really pleasantly surprised at how thorough the inspection was. The inspector is named Gil and he did a very thorough check of the outside attic and under the house crawlspace. Took almost an hour and a half for the free inspection and pointed out three areas outside that needed treatment and recommended the attic and under house crawl area to be treated since I had not had any termite work done in over five years. I've got to say I thought really comfortable that Gil was candid and honest. Although the quote was in the low $2000s to treat a total of five areas (three termite areas and to treat the attic and crawlspace) seemed fair (2year guarantee). I need to save up for the cost however, I feel comfortable calling them back in March 2023 to see if they can perform the service, so I did not use their service today yet highly recommend for their professional and honest assessment about my home terminal check. He gave me pros and cons about doing the termite work. Since I know my home is long overdue I felt that he was not rude and overbearing in selling services. I hadhave heard ads about the company on the radio for years so when one of our trees appeared to have been devoured by tenured, I called. I liked that the company took pictures under the house of where damage was, uses green products that didn't require us to leave or tent, gave us handouts of our layout with spray and drill locations, and patched holes made into concrete. I can't speak yet as to how well it works as it's only been a few weeks into a 2 year guarantee. Biggest concern is professionalism and taking other people's time into consideration. My husband's job days and hours usually mean that when there is a project to tackle, I am the one to deal with it. When I booked the evaluation, I told them after 400 because that's the soonest I can get home from work. The guy came at 320 instead of 400 (despite me being assured buy the receptionist that she made a note) so my mother in law, who was trying to take care of my son, had to deal with him and she didn't know the answers to his questions. When the guys came to spray, they hadn't been here 20 minutes and one of them asked to use the bathroom. I've had work done on the house by whole crews of guys (as recently as 6 guys the weekend prior to this appointment) and not once did they ask to use a bathroom (the water was off, so I'm sure of it), instead they went somewhere mid day, at lunch, before arriving, or after. It would have been nice if the guy had gone prior to arriving at the house. It's not like he asked after having been at the house 4 hours, he waited a whole 20 minutes. The other guy never asked to go. I was considerate of their time and busy schedule and saved them time by getting up into the garage attic early that morning and laying down plastic sheeting over the boxes up there so it would be one less thing for them to do. I even left my ladder up so they wouldn't have to deal with putting up and tearing down a ladder. When they were done, all they had to do was give me the paperwork and go (5 minutes), but instead they took an hour lunch break when they were done, so I had to hang around for another hour while they ate before being able to take care of other business. After they finished lunch, they came and gave me the paperwork almost immediately. I'm not sure if it was passive aggressive, in which case I'm not a fan of the "you're at my mercy" game, and even if it wasn't intentional, using some forethought and consideration would have been appreciated. My first time using Pacific Coast Termite because they do not tent and you don't have to leave your home. Having a family of 2 kids and 2 dogs, the "no tenting" is what sold us on Pacific Coast Termite. My initial meeting started with Ricardo and he was great. Looked over the house and spotted termites and explained the situation and what Pacific Coast Termite can offer. Keep in mind they offer a 2 year warranty! After approval, the guys came out and did their job injecting orange oil and the crew also found a spot that Ricardo missed. Pacific Coast Termite also does wood repair and replacement and during that process they also noticed a spot missed and the crew came back out and injected orange oil. Very impressed by this and makes you feel these guys and the company are looking out for you. I DID NOT want to tent my house and I DID NOT want to use harsh chemicals for my house, especially having young kids. I found this company through a FB group, with many people raving how great they were to work with. I found flying termites and called them immediately after seeing recommending reviews. They came out the next day for an inspection and quote. Then the day after they came out to treat our house. I had 8 colonies in the attic and 2 in our garage! I honestly never have seen a termite flying inside the house and that was a shocker, but I loved how they took pictures of the attic with my initials, just to prove and show me the actual damages in my attic without having me climb up there. What I liked best about this company is not only the service they provide, which is very professional and efficient, but also because I was able to stay at home working alongside my kids, who are doing school remotely online. I was afraid the kids and I would have to leave for part of the day due to the "smell" but I didn't smell anything and I am sensitive to smell, so that was a bonus for us! Lastly, they have a 2 year guarantee and an extended yearly warranty, which means they will come out and inspect and fix termite issues after the 2 years are up. I scheduled an inspection with Stephanie at Pacific Coast Termite on Thursday, January 7th, 2021 around noon for the following day between 10-1 pm. Stephanie let me know an inspection during escrow is $350 which is roughly double any other company I have used over the years. Stephanie explained that the fee is to cover the inspectors to complete a termite clearance and liability during escrow. After explaining that the purchase of the property is AS-IS and termite work was not a part of the contract she agreed to schedule their normal free inspection. The inspector called me at 10:30 am when he arrived at the house to explain I had to pay the $350 fee or he won't be doing the inspection. After explaining the same thing to him that I told Stephanie the day before he still would not do the inspection, but at least was polite and professional on the phone. With almost every termite company being closed for inspections on the weekend the buyers of the home are now put in a bad position. This is obviously a specific instance that many people won't run into with Pacific but I hope it helps bring attention to management that communication and company policy need to be understood at every level within the company to prevent wasting customers time. read more

Their inspector Blake was the most thorough out of all. He had the right tools, spent the most time and found the most evidence of termite damage Their treatment team Linda and Bobby was also thorough, professional, patient, and respectful of my property/time. With all the new construction going on it's not uncommon to agitate and disrupt rat tunnels in the area. That's exactly what happened in our area. We called Pacific Coast Termite and began working with Allen who was able to assess the situation and get someone to come out to our place and seal up all the openings, clean/sterilize the area and set the necessary traps. Ricky Buendia came out and was extremely polite and helpful. He set traps in various spots in the garage and attic then came out weekly for a few weeks to check them. Luckily for us once we had sealed off all the entrances to the building we ceased to have an issue. Due to this sudden issue in our complex as noted above we had our neighbors also call up Allen for a quote. If you are having pest issues these are the people you need to call. They also added a replacement plastic end lining to the bottom of the garage door free of charge. The pests are quite sneaky and will look for a number of ways to get into the building. read more

They send their main boy in, bing bang boom, 5K. FU. We got a $5,000 + estimate (5,300?) for drilling orange oil. We ended up fumigating for just over $3,300 with a ten year warranty. Yup, I'm writing a review for a termite company that I found from a radio advertisement on KFI. To be honest, I kind of called them to start the process, assuming that I would get a few quotes along the way before I made my decision. I liked the idea of using the orange treatment because I have pets and the thought of vacating my house and boarding everyone sounded like the biggest headache ever. The appointment process for a free termite inspection (note, it's free as long as you aren't in escrow on the house) was very simple and they were able to come out within 1-2 weeks. I'm not sure what I was expecting but I wasn't expecting a long inspection. I expected someone to just come over and tick the tires so to speak and say "yes, you have termites here's the thousands of dollars that it will cost to fix it." Needless to say I was very surprised and impressed when it took over an hour and they took me around the house and showed me all the places that I had termites and the signs of them and so I didn't just have to take their word for it. I do not normally do this but I got such a good vibe off them and so I hired them on the spot. My schedule was insane and I had to reschedule twice but they were more than accommodating. The day of the service they came out and it was pretty much as expected. The team was clean, professional and were insistent on putting down plastic on my floors even though I told them that that it wasn't necessary. Long story short, my house really did smell like oranges after and I haven't seen any evidence of termites since! Unfortunately while they were in my attic they discovered a rat infestation that had happened within the last month (my AC guy had been up there a month before and everything was fine!). They gave me a quote on the spot for rat treatment. That I did call around for, not because the price wasn't fair but mostly because I was stunned because I had never had an issue with rats. They were by far the best price and actually had a detailed treatment plan outlined for me. The rat proofing/trapping left me very impressed as well. They literally put mesh and filled every single area that a rat could possibly get through and came back weekly to check the traps. All in all that process was about a 5-6 week ordeal but they were always prompt with the recheck appointments and I have not had any rat issues since! All in all, for being a company that I hired off the radio, Pacific Coast Termite surpassed all my expectations and I would not hesitate to use them again in the future. read more

Do not use this company. While I fell for the ad about not having to tent and spray with chemicals, this is true. What is NOT TRUE though is that the orange oil treatment is ONLY AS GOOD AS THE TECHNICIAN who comes out and designates the area for treatment. And Pacific Coast Techs are NOT that good. About 6 months after treatment I was painting my window frames and my scraper went through a window frame from termite damage. An area they missed. Not a year later, I was painting the door frame and once again my scraper went through the wood in an area OPPOSITE from where they had treated for termite. Testing further I found the WHOLE DOOR FRAME to be infested with termites and I had to replace the whole door frame because they MISSED even testing anywhere else - like the other side of the door frame. When they came out, they said they HAD noted that area but when I asked why only that one spot and why didn't they check the other side, they had no answer nor did they accept any responsibility for their negligence. So I told their guy to get the hell out because they were of no help at all. read more

Over two years ago, we had a termite problem on one of our rental properties and heard about Pacific Coast Termite from Bill Handel on KFI radio. The Pacific Coast Termite supervisor Mr. Blake Richards handled our initial inspection, the treatment and subsequent repairs to the wood and did an excellent job. His subordinates were timely and our tenant was pleased that the home did not have to be tented with toxic chemicals. All of the staff were professional and there was no evidence of additional damage to the home after the treatment by Pacific Coast Termite. Yesterday, I received a letter regarding an extension of the Pacific Coast Termite warranty and another inspection for a nominal fee. This morning I telephonically contacted Mr. Richards and discussed the benefits of the extended Annual Termite Protection Plan. Thus, I also contacted Christina and renewed the plan for another year. Every employee that my tenant and I have had contact with were professional in all aspects of their customer service, and workmanship. All of the repairs to the damaged wood were repaired professionally. Regardless of the fact that there has been no apparent return of the termites to our rental property, we had no hesitation extending our protection plan for another year.
