They have improved over years. I can say they have best cooked chinese dishes in terms of buffet. Salmon is great. The sushi bar has fried salmon skin and fried salmon nuggets (on weekend). The sashimi options also look and taste fresh. It offer exceptional value. Perfect when you group of friends that want different things. They have a order to make stir fried station but I hardly see anyone in ordering it. I think the owner may be able to eliminate that station and save some operating cost and focus on improving the dishes that are popular. read more

Very impressive selection of food. The good thing about it was that the quality was very good. Went to lunch with my wife and Bill was just a little over $30. The sushi they had was very good. I know it's not Hawaii fresh but it did the job lol. Will be back here the next time we come and visit our family again. read more

I brought some coworkers (from Asia) here YEARS AGO and since then, they've indirectly crown me as being a food guru!! I'm like really??? I've been coming here for over 15+ years as this place at one point was one of the valleys premium buffets. To be honest, they still knock it our the box and thanx to my coworkers over the years, I go for the "not so standard" typical/traditional American dishes we are accustom to. They have a ton of traditional items (note, it's American Chinese as I've never seen in Asian Orange Chicken, beef & broccoli, sweet and sour chicken, Crab Rangoon..... you get the point. But they do have all those goodies here. They got a large variety of sushi being prepared, Mongolian BBQ & American favorites (especially for the kids) like chicken tenders, chicken wings, French fries and more... when in comes to appealing to the masses... this is good spot. The decor is still the same from WAY BACK and needs an update (chairs, table, flooring) but I appreciate the nostalgia to an extent but most importantly, the great food! Servers keep the glasses full and do a great job clearing out plates. Ideal for Lunch (I prefer the cost point of ~$17/person with a drink) as dinner is $4 more Mon~Thurs... My husband and I have tried this restaurant three times and every time the servers were very rude and rushed us to leave the restaurant. First visit: My husband is 6'4" tall and when he went to the buffet to get his food...he could hear the server speaking into her headset saying, "Tall man! Tall man!" as if he was going to pack up all the food and take it with him. He only had two plates at the buffet. Another visit: We finish eating, we normally like to have a pot of hot green tea. The waitress came and set the pot and small cups on the table. While we were finishing our meal she came back to the table picked up the tea pot set it backdown and then placed the cups in front us. We moved the cups and the teapot to the side because we were not ready for the tea yet. She returned to our table and she attempted to take our plates away and we signaled for her to stop. We were not over eating at the buffet. We had one plate, we had limited time so we were going to eat, drink our tea and leave. Our third visit was last night. We walked in, we were directed to our seats, we ordered water and a pot of green tea. We went and got our plates. Shortly after we sat down, a lady appeared with a pot of green tea. The cups were stacked on top of the pot. We never went back for another plate. The same lady appeared again and she set the cups in front of us and then she tried to take our plates away. We let her know we were not finished eating. She left our plates alone. As we sat sipping water the same waitress came back and lifted the green tea pot and sat it back down as if signaling us to go ahead and drink the tea. We thought we would give this restaurant another chance because the location is good and the food is good, but each time we went this restaurant we were treated very very rude so from our point of view this is how they operate. The food is good, but the service is HORRIBLE! It looks like the waitresses are trained to rush the customers out of the restaurant as quickly as possible. I have been here twice now and the food is ok. However, the amount of crab legs they serve is very little and people gather that area where they put the crab legs. We are here tonight celebrating my grandma's birthday. She called ahead and asked if they had crab legs. The lady whom she spoke with over the phone said "Yes" to having crab legs. I have a big family and 20 of us went to dinner here. When we arrived an hour ago, there were non. People lined up, gathered around the area waiting for the crab legs. They only serve a little portion. And then it takes about 30 mins or so to have them make it and put it out again. Don't be fooled. And if you ask for it over the phone, don't expect that many. For the ones who grabbed a bunch and go, lucky but I felt bad because there were others waiting for it that I took 1-2 pieces and left so others can grab some too. The grilled beef is delicious! I think that is the only one I like here that's good. Also I have noticed the names are mixed up. I hope they know which food is which. I am allergic to scallops and I grabbed mussels on the tray but the title said scallops but I know my seafood. One food said peach bun but under the tray is pineapple rice. I have no idea how they would mix food title and the food tray. It is supposed to match. Think of others who'd be allergic to some types of food and they don't know about it just by looking Anyway, maybe I'll come back in the morning so I can grab a hold of more crab legs. They take sooooo long to bring crab legs out! This is not all u can eat buffet they count your plates. After u reach a certain limit of maybe 5 plates (they don't care if it's used for loose shells) they bring u a bill and you have to pay and leave. First time here, I didn't eat breakfast so when I saw their sign I decided to stop in, this was around 11:30am. They had a lot of items which I sampled but I mostly stuck with their Steamed Sole. Their price was fair, including the offer of a senior discount and my Diet Pepsi was refilled often. I have been eating this place for years...maybe more than 10 yrs or so. Just recently noticed they removed alot of seafood items from lunch, which make it not really a seafood buffet anymore. Most of the seafood items maybe only at night time only. The crabs legs and oysters, some people pretty much take all on their plate and not sharing, i hope the restaurant can take control on serving size for each person, so everyone can equally enjoy the crab legs as well. The sushi bar removed alot of sashimi items as well. They usually have yellow tails, squids, octopus, etc. , but not any more. By adding alot more variety of sushi which it is a surprise me....they are delicious. Everything is much higher cost now, to maintain the business and not increase cost to the customer, it is greatly appreciated. Lunch on a Thursday. BBQ marinated pork slices, galbi and pork chop pieces that were cooked on a gas grilled, was once again way overcooked and blackened (burned). Hard and flavorless with a burnt taste. Did they purposely overcook and burn the meat? Or did they hire an inexperienced cook? Or was the cook overloaded with too much to watch over and just didn't have the time to watch over the BBQ? It seems like the cold peel and eat shrimp are getting smaller. The other person in my party said that even all the noodles were not good, and she is a noodle person. If you don't like any of the above mentioned items, the buffet is great. HIBACHI GRILL AND BUFFET on Southern and Alma School is where I will be going tomorrow. It is not very far from Pacific. Every time I visit Hibachi, I have a very great experience. The price for lunch is about the same and they have a much, much, much larger selection. They are very busy and the food turnover (replenishing) is much faster, which makes the food taste that much better. read more

First, this a buffet which is a restaurant type I rarely visit but went with friends as they invited me. The selections are varied and have a good choices, even some asian traditional food including chicken feet and pigs feet. The flavors a good, bit heavy on the salt but passable for a buffet. It's been a long time since we've been at this location. My husband was craving seafood. What's funny is that I'm deathly allergic, and there is a lot of seafood here! But trust me, I didn't go hungry. There was plenty to eat. Lots of veggies, chicken dishes and soup. I avoided most of the fried stuff as well. We went to the Hibachi Grill first but it was insanely packed. Pacific was further away from us but was by far a great backup. It wasn't very busy at first (and we called to make sure) but by the time we left there wasn't an empty table in the house! They gave us plastic disposable gloves to handle the tongs but everything else was business as usual. The raw fish was superb and I had the best clam chowder I think I've ever had in my life. And I almost missed that area because there's like 10 buffet tables to choose from! Unfortunately I always seem to fill up before getting to dessert but I did have two coconut macaroons that were so dense and heavenly *chef's kiss*. The weekday lunch is a pretty good, but the weekend meals isn't a very good value. The weekend meals has additional items such as snow crab legs and sashimi. The problem is trying to get a serving of the more expensive items. I've been there several times over the weekend and I've never been able to get any snow crab. They don't bring out the crab legs very often and people grab heaping plates of the legs. The sushi chef also disappears so sashimi also isn't refilled very often. I wish they would either increase the price so they can supply more food or limit what you can get at one time (e.g. - have someone give each person two crab legs each time they come up). I was done so went to get some cantaloupe, not sweet & hard also; the jello & pudding was about all, I myself, could eat & knowing that is meant to be served cold. We sat for at least 10 minutes with a dirty table and it wasn't overly busy at 4 on Saturday afternoon. My family has been going to Pacific for years, but they have lost all of us due to their utter ignorance of simple costumer service and the definition of a buffet. During my recent visit back to the Valley, my AZ family went to eat at Pacific. While there, the owner/manager approached our table near the end of our meal and commented that we liked to eat crab. We answered yes and explained that was why we were long time customers of his buffet. Rather than thank us for our loyal business, he tried to shame us by saying that the buffet doesn't make much money by offering crab and that it only expects customers to eat a little bit of crab and fill up on the other food. Huh? We replied that this was an all you can eat buffet and that buffets normally don't tell their customers what they can and cannot eat. That's why it's called a buffet and not "all you can eat everything but the crab." Maybe he only wants customers to eat all the rice and cheap filler food. Either he wanted to shame us into feeling bad for what we ate or he wanted to dish out not so subtle insults. No matter, his actions were ridiculous and contradict the human understanding of the terms "buffet" and basic customer service. Pacific has lost all of us as customers and I would not recommend spending your hard earned money at an establishment that doesn't value you or your business. read more

!!!FOOD POISONING ALERT!!! I only ate three plates with rice and meat and literally three pieces of sushi, no dessert as I was too full. Got home and went to bed (04MAR2024) with a full belly, woke up at 1AM (05MAR2024) with terrible and painful, watery diarrhea. Have had diarrhea movements at least five or six times since then and it is only 7AM. I decided to take a shower hoping that would make me feel better and before I hopped in, I started vomiting and heaving ferociously as I broke out in sweats and became light-headed. read more
