Good pizza, great service. We came here for lunch the other day and were starving, so we got a medium pizza AND the chicken wing appetizer to share. The wings came out hot, juicy, and delicious. The pizza was good as well, nothing to write home about but definitely good, and we ended up leaving with nearly half because we got absolutely stuffed. Best Italian in Ballard. I like the build your calzone with 3 toppings and the pizza crusts are just the right texture. My kids love the BBQ Chicken or the Classico. I say avoid the salad is very large but not tasty. On the pizza too much sauce. Please work on that. Everything else is great. I want to thank the lady who works the lunch shift, did not see a name tag. Food: 5/5 Crust on the pizza is perfect. Price: 4/5 Its ok maybe slightly higher then I would like. Alright so like the pizza here is like very good and like tasty-ish. Like my only complaint is the sauce is just too much. Crust is not too hard and bready but like so balanced. Toppings are like a fair amount not too much not too little so like very fair. Sometimes like too much can overload the pie so like yeah. I didn't see slice options so I don't think they have that here it's like a more sit down dinning so boo on the no slices. I mean like the overall pizza place is nice. Delicious pastas! The pastas come with soup or salad and two slices of buttered garlic bread (light and crunchy). They even do customizations--I wanted marinara instead of cream sauce on my pasta and they did it without hesitation. I usually have left overs but I finished it all because it was delish! My only "con" was that there was so much sauce left over after I finished that I felt guilty (so much salmon bits in the sauce). I would have preferred salmon chunks in my Fettucini con Salmon. I used to love ordering from here. Used the Eat24 app. The last two orders they totally screwed up. I don't eat meat and my pizza last time arrived with pepperoni all over it. They replaced. Today my pizza arrived late and with NO PIZZA SAUCE on it. I called and they offered me a discount on my next order. No thank you. I have ordered delivery many times from here, including breakfast. They are always consistent with the quality of their food, and the prices are reasonable. However, today, I decided to try something different and ordered the frittata/quiche. It WAS not that at all! Lol instead it was an egg pizza (which I would NOT have ordered if it was properly labeled in the menu). How can anyone like this pizza... I forget sometimes how bad it is and order it on a whim, because of the low delivery minimum and free delivery fee. But if you're looking for pizza delivery... try something else, if you want good tasting pizza. Update: The owner called me to apologize and let me know there must have been a mistake on Palermo's part. He said they are adamant about keeping their portions large and offered to send me a free meal anytime to make up for it. They're a bit pricier, but it's good comfort food, and I always thought the portions were worth it. I ordered the baked spaghetti tonight. It honestly is great. However, I'm really disappointed to see that they've reduced the portion by about half. What used to be about a 10" dish is now closer to a 6" dish. From the outside, you would never guess what a cute little date spot this would be! The food portions are pretty big. My friend and I got a family size pasta, and we had leftovers for a meal afterwards! The staff here are amazingly friendly. OH my God What an Incredible Meal I Had Tonight. The chicken parmigiana was absolutely to die for. My guests and I enjoyed the pre meal bread rolls that were heaven and then the magnificent cheese bread with our salads. This was my first visit but it won't be my last. Hands down this is the place to go if you're craving pasta! It literally tastes like a homemade cooked meal. I personally order the Palermo pizza, and while the there is a slight variation in quality, depending on when I order the pizza, I have yet to be disappointed with the food. I have no idea how this place has close to 5 stars. Absolutely disgusting food! The pesto chicken sandwich had hardly any pesto, the chicken was dry and over cooked. The spaghetti bolognese was a joke! NO flavor what so ever! The side salad that comes with the pasta is completely bare! Couple strips of lettuce a slice of tomato and slice of Cucumber. Service was wonderful, however the food was sadly disappointing. Misled by all the great yelp reviews. We ordered the penne vodka with chicken and the ravioli aurora with spinach. Chicken in the penne tasted and felt like it was cooked in the morning then overheated in the microwave for our meal. The ravioli aurora looked nice, but the flavor was off. We ordered because of a referral from our friend and today saw her review on Yelp - Sandy W. on 9/5/20. Since that time we have ordered from Palermo in Ballard two times and will order again for my husband's birthday. The food is very tasty, they have nice portions, the price is good and their free delivery is on time. So far we have ordered their Sicilian Pizza - wonderful, Lasagna - very meaty with a delicious sauce that does not give you heartburn. The lasagna comes with your choice of soup or salad. while the parking is a nightmare during prime hours, the food more than makes up for it (fyi there's only around 35 spots behind the restaurant building but it shares the lot with other businesses). I ended up getting a margarita pizza, buffalo style wings, and garlic bread sticks. while I wasn't the biggest fan of the garlic bread sticks, they were crunchy and toasty but a bit over seasoned. and for the wings, I guess it's a bit on me for getting wings at a Italian restaurant but it tasted like frozen buffalo wings they sell at costco. the pizza on the other hand was delicious. the pizza came out burning hot where we had to wait a minute to not burn our mouths, but the minute was worth it. the initial bite of the red sauce gushing in with a perfect amount of cheese stretching from my bite felt like I was having pizza for the first time after being deserted on a island. I will say this restaurant is a bit on the expensive side, but I ended up sharing my deal with a friend where we each paid around $25 for two appetizers and a 19" pizza with slices to take out. In addition, the waitress was very kind to us greeting us at the front and just having the best smile as she checked up on us regularly. read more

Typically I'll order something and end up eating half for dinner and half for lunch the next day. They're my go to place for pizza, and their wings are the authentic buffalo wings I prefer (in addition to other types).
