Two different employees that I initially spoke with were kind, professional, and last gentleman was genuinely apologetic. He assured me that the manager, Meghan, would make things right. Unfortunately, that could not have been further from the truth. After requesting a callback, I received no response. It took two days of repeated calls before I was finally able to speak with Meghan. From the start, her approach was dismissive and unprofessional. Rather than addressing the issue or taking accountability, she deflected responsibility by referencing what her manager, Hanna, allegedly said--while completely disregarding the fact that I had been given conflicting and inaccurate information by multiple employees. Meghan's business card identifies her as a General Manager, but based on this interaction, her level of customer service, communication, and problem-solving did not reflect the expectations of that role. When I made a simple request for her to contact Hanna directly and have her return my call, it was treated as though it were unreasonable--which is unacceptable. At no point did I feel heard, valued, or respected as a customer. Effective leadership requires accountability, follow-through, and professionalism--none of which were demonstrated in this situation. I'm waiting on a call back from Hanna. I'm going to reach out to the corporate office as well about my experience. I will update this review if I ever receive the follow-up that was promised.

I know this is a franchise and they mark up their services but don't make people feel bad if they don't want to continue, or don't want to "upgrade". Example. Buy a membership and 100% of the time when I just want some easy quick sun, they try to get you to buy something (lotion, stickers, different memberships). Just let me in!!! Then the cancel process. I no longer need the membership as I start a new job and won't be in state most of the time, and they tell me they will freeze it. No thanks, just cancel. "what can we do to keep you". Just cancel please. "how about we just freeze it for now and charge just a small amount to keep your account active". No thanks just cancel. "well if you ever want to come back, the price will go up". Then I won't come back. Advice to management. Make the guest feel welcome and special. Instead of pushing upgrades. Just say, "thank you for your loyalty, if you ever need anything to improve your tanning experience, we are here for you". Simple, and I would be like oh, nice... tanning lotion.
