Decent little gelato spot in the Village. Stopped in with my daughters after Mother's Day brunch for a quick dessert. The shop is really cute for kids, very colorful, with some seating and other things to keep them happily entertained while eating their gelato. The guy behind the counter acted like he hated being there, but I understand it's probably not what he really wants to be doing on the weekend. The gelato itself lacks the creaminess that really good gelato has, almost giving more of a shaved ice feel. Not the best I've had, but not the worst. read more

While wandering around the West Village, my partner and I were really craving gelato--so we were thrilled when we stumbled across this little gem of a shop. Food & Service: 5/5 This place is tiny, so definitely not the spot to bring a big group. There are only a couple of small tables that could seat up to four, and a bit of outdoor seating, but it's definitely more of a grab-and-go vibe. That said, the service was incredibly warm and friendly. The person behind the counter greeted us right away and was super helpful--walking us through the different flavors, offering samples, and being patient while we made our choices. I loved my lemon combo--bright, refreshing, not overly sweet--and my husband was obsessed with the pistachio. You could really taste the quality in both. I also noticed how considerate the staff were with other customers who had dietary restrictions or were just trying to find something not too sweet. It's the kind of thoughtful service that makes you want to return. Overall: We couldn't have asked for a better sweet treat to end our evening. Discovered the SWEETEST gelato, chocolate, dessert shop on the corner of 6th Avenue/11th Street... charming decor. They were having a pop up collaboration with Lilli Maren who had 3 flavors of tiramisu (chai flavor, which I selected, matcha/strawberry, and dark chocolate/orange which is the next flavor I want). Loved the personal touch and the genuine kind service... very excited to have discovered this place. Also had their delicious thick hot chocolate, not too sweet OMG!! read more

This place is seriously so so cute! The colours and styling feels very retro and neat! I ordered a peach sorbet and it was so peachy and delicious! My only complaint is that it is far sweeter than any sorbet I've ever had in Italy (possibly to accommodate American palates?) but I struggled with it. The flavour was super good, but the sweetness made it less refreshing than I hoped it would be. Had I understood what a full scoop would have been like after my initial taste test, I probably would've just gotten gelato. Either way, I would wholeheartedly recommend this place for a sweet treat because yes, it was really delightful on a sweltering day! read more

cool flavors but pretty average gelato. i was super excited for the rainbow cookie but it was just ok. texture and test of the pistachio was definitely the best. service was fine - there was nobody in the place and the guy only let me taste one flavor. not much room to sit inside - one small table and 2 benches. read more

Spectacular little post dinner sweet treat. This spot immediately stood out to me due to it's generous array of fruit flavors: yellow peaches, tropicale (yuzu, passion fruit, mango), cantaloupe melon, strawberry, and mixed berry. Not only that, they have an exquisite creamy jasmine custard, a little surprise compared to the gelato places around here. Both the tropicale and the jasmine together side-by-side were absolutely divine. The perfect medley of tart and floral, subtle sweetness. The prices are average for gelato--especially for the West Village. Line was out the door a little before they closed for the evening, so naturally the staff there weren't too happy. However, still friendly! Quality of gelato is both light, but still creamy--excellent. We will be back to try more of the flavors. read more

Aw man I really wanted this to taste delicious but my gelato was not creamy at all It was lumpy frozen but the flavor was good but man for the price I paid for a tiny little cup it was a bust for me personally They had a huge line out the door hence why I dropped by and the girls serving had a great attitude and were really nice The theme is playful in decor but yeah I wish my cup was not as expensive and that it had been better quality read more

We went for post dinner gelato. I've not had gelato in NYC ever. The last time I had it was probably when I was in Italy. They were very friendly with the customers allowing for some taste tests. Eating gelato made me realize how much more I prefer ice cream. It's not as creamy as I liked. I got the pistachio which was bomb. The cookie mascarpone was sweeter than I liked. My sister got the cannoli which was fantastic but the olive one was just ok. read more

Probably one of the best gelatos I've had in the city. The Fior di Latte is classic fire, while the Cannolo will hit the spot for rich flavor. Try the Nocciola if you're feeling nutty, or the Marscarpone and Cookie for the Italian version of cookies 'n' cream. read more

RATING: 8.8/10 PRO TIP: Get their pistachio. This place also is associated with the newly opened Travelers, Poets and Friends, the non-meat Italian market and restaurant. PISTACHIO GELATO - this was absolutely delicious, and the gelato lady told me that their pistachio packs a real punch -- I have to agree. This is the most heavyhanded pistachio gelato I've ever had. Super concentrated flavor and really delicious. Smooth, a little dense in texture, and def worth a revisit. NOCCIOLA - their hazelnut was quite delicious, too, and had the same amazing texture as the first. Compared to other gelatos, I would say theirs is denser/stretchy, and oh so satisfying. I also learned that the most authentic gelato would melt if placed in a mountain on display, like you see in little italy. Stopped by here for some dessert during this scorching summer heat. It's SO well air-conditioned indoors. I opted for the tiramisú + pistachio small cup. The gelato is incredibly soft and creamy. I'm not sure I could taste much of the tiramisú but the pistachio was perfection. The small cup is a perfect amount for a quick bite. Plenty of seats inside and outside. It was very good but just not quite a five star experience compared to some of the other gelato I had while I was in the city. I ended up going with fruity flavors, the tropicale which is a strong refreshing flavor and cantaloupe melon which is more mild and delicate but still refreshing. They were both very good and you could taste the real fruit. It wasn't the best sorbet I had, but it was nice they had some different flavors that you don't normally see. The location is a very small shop with maybe 6 seats (but felt crowded with four people inside) and one worker. The guy working was a little odd, he wasn't the friendliest and he kept singing along to the music. Was a little gross he touched the mini cone with his bare hands after handing money, etc. Overall, I would go back if I was nearby, but this wasn't quite exceptional enough for me to go out of my way to return there. read more

HOT CHOCOLATE REVIEW ONLY: I came here on a weekday night and ordered the regular hot chocolate. I had heard a good review about it and I was genuinely curious to try it myself. Have you ever drank a perfectly thick and perfectly sweet and yet tart hot chocolate? This is IT! Each sip was like drinking a decadent piece of chocolate! I couldn't decide the whole time if I wanted to pace myself or drink some first then save the rest for later (I went with the latter). Okay kittles and kittlings, this is the real deal. I had a small cup of pistachio gelato here, and I liked how they topped it with a tiny cone. Crunch. The gelato itself was studded with real pieces of pistachio and generally top notch. You can tell this place is authentic because when you go in, you'll see they've covered all the gelatos with stainless steel tops, and the pistachio is a perfect pale green color. Nuff said. Amazing new gelato spot! I've been here two times already since they opened last week. The space is small but super cute with a few spots to seat indoors and some extra tables out front. The staff is friendly and let you try as many flavors as you want. They have a rather small but very creative menu focused on seasonal and high quality ingredients - many refreshing fruity combos. During my first visit I felt that the gelato consistency was a tad watery but that changed during my second visit, as it was super creamy then... so I assume they were still nailing that down. I stopped into Pamina to sample their goods. If you go try the Hazelnut gelato, it is top notch. I also tasted the Blood Orange Mandarin. It was very tasty, but not as smooth as the Hazelnut. The perfect post-dinner dessert spot! Was in the area with some friends and decided to stop in. They have a wide range of gelato flavors and some bakery items as well. The servers let us try as many flavors as we like and recommended we try the pistachio flavor. We both got the hazelnut and pistachio flavor in a small cup and it was amazing! There is not much seating inside so be prepared to sit outside or wait for seating. I will definitely be back for the pistachio gelato and to try some bakery items! read more

Super cute space in the west village. They have pastries and spreads as well as gelato. You can have two flavors in a medium or one flavor in a large. I had a medium with hazelnut and pistachio and was blown away with how good and rich both flavors were. It didn't taste artificial and both flavors had actual nuts in them which I felt like added to the flavor well. Definitely worth trying! Very unprofessional staff. We walked in and asked about dairy free ice cream and they ignored us while we just stood there at the counter. They were giggling and talking and ignoring their customers while we were just standing there waiting and obviously ready to order. The girl was especially dismissive, immature and very rude multiple times. When it came to pay the $7 ice cream, my friend gave $10 in cash and the guy gave her $2 in bills and $1 all in PENNIES and said that's all he had. To the store owner so you know which of your staff is: it was Sunday night at 9:45pm. Really was awful but the ice cream was amazing. You should know how unfriendly your staff was. I almost never write these kinds of things. Takes me a lot and I'm very friendly and loving. read more

The black sesame one was toasty and had pronounced flavoring, and the yuzu lemon had a nice zesty bite to it. When it comes to consistency and texture of the tart, I don't think this place has the most mind-blowing selection of tarts, but I would come back again if I wanted a quick, small dessert!

From previous reviews, it appears most people come here for the ramen, which are about $19 a bowl. My friends and I tried the tonkotsu ramen, shoyu ramen, and a butadon (pork rice bowl). Everything was delicious and flavorful. However, four stars is an accurate assessment. I've had better tasting ramen with a more flavorful broth, and a larger portion with more meat at slightly lower prices. The food is good but not the best either.

Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.

And if you can't decide between egg salad and tuna salad, there's the off-menu "Jonathan," which combines half egg salad and half tuna salad in the same sandwich. Another option is the Salad Plate, which comes with a scoop of both egg salad and tuna salad served with Ritz crackers. As always, the restaurant was spotless, and the service was efficient, friendly, and consistently excellent.
