We came off from a Groupon and had a good experience. The staff was all very friendly, our server was funny and attentive. The steak cuts were all very good and if you wanted something specific they would bring that person back to give it to you. The non steak items were ok. My biggest complaint is that they had pork in almost everything. In every salad they had it was in it. Potato gratin was good and the plantains were very good. Would like if they added some sort of dessert, even just a cookie. But, they want to upsell you on the other options they have. The service was nice, but the food wasn't all that great for the amount of money we were spending on it. It was a good option for our family to visit in Las Vegas. I understand prices are more expensive in Vegas than there would be other places. But I was hoping that the quality of food would have been extraordinary. Well, we did eat our hearts content, it was just the amount of food quality was not what I was anticipating on the Las Vegas trip. My family and I visited Vegas for Thanksgiving break. We decided to try Pampas Brazilian BBQ on Nov. 23. It was really easy to make a Yelp reservation in advance which I really appreciated. We also had a Groupon which came out to around $100 for the four of us. Not bad for AYCE! The setup was really enjoyable. There was a good selection at the "Market Table" which is like a salad bar. They offered salads, veggies, some breads, soups, rice, beans, and more. Don't fall for these traps before they bring out the meats! Our favorites included the picanha (sirloin cap), Tri tip, and garlic Tri tip. We were also pleasantly surprised by the Turkey and chicken leg. They were both super tender and flavorful. I find that some restaurants try to "cover up" the meat quality by adding sauces and oils, but there was none of that here! The meat was fresh and flavorful. For dessert, we tried the apple and pumpkin pies from the market table. Both were nothing too special, but were a nice addition to the meal. I really appreciated the service. The staff were all attentive and it was easy to get more servings of meat. They even came by to take a family photo for us! My only complaint was the water. They didn't provide any "normal" water and were charged $7 per bottle. This was ridiculous! We only found out after we were given the bill! Parking was also not cheap ($20). So, on one hand we thought we were getting a good deal from the Groupon, but still ended up paying for the $7 water, $20 parking, $10 picture souvenir, and around $20 in tips, which almost made it not worthwhile for us. It is definitely an experience we will remember, but our stomachs and wallets need a break! read more

Second visit here to Pampas Las Vegas. Our first visit was a year ago and to my recollection the service and quality of meats was exceptional. This was our Christmas Day dinner with my family and our dinner was priced at $67 per person, AYCE meats with salad bar. This time around my favorite cut - the Picanha was sadly a bit dry and under seasoned. My boys said the lamb cut was pretty good and juicy, as was the garlic and spicy Sirloin. Unfortunately, I think they do a bit too much upselling at this restaurant. Our bill was way more than we intended to spend. 1) Drinking water - if you don't want to spend $7 per bottle, you need to specifically ask for "tap or regular water". The server will ask if you want "flat or sparkling"...they are talking about bottled water and they will charge you per bottle. And they don't even ask how much bottles you want, they will just pour for everyone on your table. We got charged for 2 for our table of 6, that's $14 for 2 bottles of water. 2) They asked if we would like some grilled pineapple which we said yes because it's delicious. But then again, they don't ask how much we want, they served us 2 for our table of 6, that's another $15 for 2 servings of pineapple. I believe 1 serving would have been sufficient for all of us. 3) Then they asked if we wanted lobster, man....am I glad I said NO to that, I'm sure that would have been market price. 4) We ordered a bottle of red wine and they made a suggestion that pairs well. But I should have asked about the price because it was a $75 bottle of wine. Like seriously? I would have been fine with a more reasonably priced bottle like 30-50$ bottle of wine, but $75 was a bit of a stretch for me. Our bill came out to about $450. Luckily we had a small discount to put a dent in our bill but still....we could have done without all the extra upsales. From now on, I will probably never say yes automatically to anything again and will always be suspicious of every offer and recommendation. Great service should always include honesty and transparency, especially since we the patrons spend our hard earned money at your establishments and not all of us have the luxury to spend extra. I really feel like we splurged unwillingly and that's not a very good feeling... read more

Brazilian Steakhouse, say no more! We were pretty excited to try this place and tried to make sure we didn't eat too much so that we can take advantage of the all you can eat menu. The atmosphere and the staff make this place awesome! The hostess got us seated quickly and got our drink orders out of the way so that we can get to star of the show- the meats! Throughout the meal the staff was on point in making surenwe had everything in order to enjoy our meal. Didn't get a specific meat? Want seconds? Or maybe want one of the meats cooked more well done or rare? Just ask and they take care of you! Unfortunately, the food wasn't as great as the service. Don't get us wrong, it's delicious but just wasn't up to par as some other brazil steak houses. Some of our favorites was the top sirloin, tri-tip and lamb. The meat menu did seem a bit smaller than other places as we are used to having a larger selection of meats. Some items are side a-la-carte instead of being included like the grilled pineapple. The salad bar is pretty good and include cheese bread and plantains. We got a coupon that got us a discount for our party so we couldn't complain. Food was good for the most part and we had fun. Normally a pretty good experience when eating here. But this time around, it was totally different. Maybe it was where we sat but the meat didn't get to us frequently. If it did, it was often undercooked. I like my meat rare but this was totally raw. Also, one of the meat servers "lectured" us about complaining about the undercooked meat. When in fact, we only talked amongst ourselves. It was pretty rude to be honest. This server needs a refresher training in customer service. I wanted to talk to a manager about the meat server but didn't feel it was worth the effort. It might be a while until we go back. There's a reason why they have someone outside handing out coupons for 50% off. We have eaten here once, like over 10-15 years ago and so I am surprised that they are still around. First we got sat in such a tight spot and bad location, everyone walks right by us every time they come back from the salad bar and it's out of sight from the gaucho's serving the meats. So we waited about 5 minutes before our server greeted us. We think he got upset because we didn't order any of the expensive bottled waters nor any other cocktails or drinks. We got our plates at the salad bar and right away, Daniel came by with his meat skewers. Daniel came by again shortly after with some Pichaña. He let me take one whole piece of Pichaña and my wife wanted it medium, so he said he would return and that he did. Daniel was the one that came to our table the most. Juan Jose barely came around and when he would pass by, he wouldn't even pickup our used plates. As for the salad bar, some items aren't fresh. The cucumbers are pre cut and they were soggy and nut crunchy. Same goes for the watermelon. As for the meats, you get what you pay for. The selection's were quite limited. Thank goodness this was a coupon offer because if it was full price for lunch or dinner, it would be highway robbery. We were so dissatisfied, we didn't even take any photos. read more

Some dishonest business practices going on at the restaurant. 1. We were only offered regular water or sprinkling water, so we said regular and was charged $7 for a bottle of water. The waiter explained to us that management told them to only offer regular ($7 water bottle) or sparkling water (probably more expensive). Unless if you ask for free water yourself, then they will bring out free water for you. The waiter explained to us that the reason they do that is because Vegas water is contaminated and cannot drink it without it being dangerous for you... 2. Tri-tip is supposed to be included, but we only saw tri tip pass by once, very dry and only tiny amounts left. We asked for two small slices so others can get theirs also and we will wait for another round. After waiting to a very very long time... We never saw another round of tri-tip, so I asked if we could have some tri-tip and was told there are no more tri-tip left. Management only allows for a certain quantity of tri-tip, so it's not really part of ayce if it's extremely limited. read more

We have been Pampas total 3 times in the past. Initially, staff were courteous and accommodating and foods were better, when they still had Pork Belly. But since then, Pork Belly was no longer available, their foods became mediocre & heavily spiced. Since we received Dinner voucher for 2 at Pampas, we decided to try again. Our Dinner vouchers allowed $66 value for AYCE BBQ & Salad Bar (Hot Bar), just need to pay Tax & 16% gratuity, and we don't drink. I RSVP for 4pm on Yelps, & received a confirmation text. Upon checking in at Pampas, I went to the first available guy at front desk, fyi, Restaurant was practically empty at this time. I told him we had RSVP, he shoved us to the lady next desk without saying anything. Apparently, Pampas and Yelps were not communicating. She couldn't find our RSVP, asked for my phone # and sent New RSVP text to me, then, sent me back to the guy. This guy was not pleasant!, almost deceitful! He looked at the voucher, and told us need to pay Tax and 18% Gratuity, plus any drinks we ordered. I immediately corrected him about Gratuity, he was embarrassed. He thought he could cheat customers. 2% is not much, but it is a Principle! Furthermore, my husband is a Pescatarian, don't eat meats, just seafoods; I asked if he could have seafood dish from the side menu to substitute for meats; the answer was NO! FYI, Salad Bar Only, the value was $36.99, they do have Salmon dish for $24.99, or shrimp dish for $19.99 from side menu. We do not understand from restaurant management point of view, why can't they substitute one piece of salmon for AYCE Meats? The price total would still within voucher amount. We were troubled by their Customer service and inflexibility of business practices, especially in such competitive restaurants industry. We all know that customer satisfaction means more referrals and repeated businesses; obviously, they do not care how customer feeling! I guess this would be our last time here! read more

The meats, when it came around were cold. They say it's 14 meats but we counted maybe 10 with the same 5 coming around. The meats had no real flavor. The meats are the only thing that is brought to the table, you get everything else from the salad bar. The service was mediocre and definitely not the norm for a Brazilian steakhouse. I love Pampas and every time we go to Vegas we always make a point of going here for a Brazilian. There is a huge buffet bar where you can help yourself prior to all the meats coming around. The service is amazing. All the guys are great and the ambience is very nice inside. They're all different packages that you can purchase from which allow you different meats or and seafood. The food came around VERY slow and they brought around the same thing over and over. We had gotten the tier 3 and had to keep asking for the other options to come around. I have been to many other Brazilian steakhouses and this is by far the worst one I have ever been to. Definitely no need to ever go back. Also, the fact you're told to get two plates from the salad bar, one for your salad and then one for the table for the meat is crazy to me. The salad bar cleanliness was kind of scary. I have been here 3 times, first 2 times were with my mom and last time was just myself. All times this place has been extremely busy. But the food is beyond amazing. Staff is super friendly and professional, staff is super accommodating and responsive to any and all issues. Although I have stopped drinking since this year the drinks on selection are huge, the environment is peaceful minus the business of customer. There were live music and birthday celebrations my first visit. Servers are quick with the food and constantly rotating the servings. I've gotten to try all the dishes and every dish was amazing.
