    Catfish or Shrimp & Grits

This was my first time, trying it, and I was impressed. Initially, when you come in the space is open and vibrant, the staff greet you immediately when you come in. Right after we were seated one of the waiters immediately got our order. It took about 10 minutes for the food to come out, and it was piping hot. I got the catfish and grits bowl while my man got the Texas toast steak sandwich. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. It has a very local feeling while serving mainstream dishes with an international flare. I 100% recommend this restaurant and I will be back.

The prices are reasonable and the portion size is suitable. The staff was very nice and the place was very crowded. I think it is alway busy, at least every time we pass by it is always a lot of folks. I was satisfied with the food I ordered, but I needed my hash-browns to be cooked a little longer. I did tell the waiter that in the beginning but I guess he didn't really understand what I was trying to say. I ordered an omelet. It was pretty good as well. There are quite a bit of food choices so when and if I go back I will be trying some other items. I will definitely try the cuban milk shakes just to change my norm.

Extensive menu with breakfast and lunch choices. Lots to choose from. Gets crowded and now I know why. Food was delicious and waitress was attentive. Clean and bright inside. We'll go again.

Been here several times now, this place is consistently good!!! The food is great and has never been bad. Sorry I forgot to take a picture before I ate.. The drinks are fresh! The juices are freshly squeezed, so in my option totally worth it!! The best mojito's and mimosas in town! Service has always great! We have never felt rushed or ignored. And when there was an issue, they did their best to correct it. You really can't go wrong with this place.

I noticed a review, saying this was basically the same as Waffle House, and I would disagree. Definitely a step or two up from the waho. I ordered my eggs scrambled medium and my bacon as crispy as they could get it and it came out perfect. The grits have a nice flavor to them and are actually creamy which is very hard to find From my experiences. The crepes are filled to bursting with cream cheese and have multiple options for fruit toppings. Would have tried the pancakes but I can't handle corn syrup. Would suggest the tiny real maple servings like a lot of restaurants have as a cost extra. Definitely worth a try if this is evidence of consistency

Parking lot was full this Sunday morning! But there was a seat available for us. This place is so clean and it is hopping! Our server was wonderful always smiling and keeping our coffee cups filled very important in Sunday mornings ! I ordered from the 55+ section and for $8.99 I received a 2 egg omelet that came with onions, peppers, mushrooms and cheddar cheese but I only wanted the cheese along with 2 pancakes and I couldn't finish either. My friend got the Grayson slam 2 eggs, 2 pieces ham, sausage and bacon plus 2 pancakes for $11.25 and his plate was cleaned! This restaurant closes at 2:00 pm so we are definitely adding it to our breakfast/ lunch rotation!

The server mentioned they even have a DJ on one of the weekend days !! So we decided to try a little bit of everything it seemed. I was pleasantly surprised that the Shrimp & Grits incorporated chicken sausage. It was more than feeling as a meal, the grits were creamy and the shrimp couldn't have been better. Now the chicken wings stole the show for our table. Always nice when your food comes out piping hot & fresh but when it's seasoned perfectly, what more can you ask for !! The greens were ok, can't quite put my finger in it and the Mac & cheese needed a little bit more love. Now the breakfast potatoes and the biscuits were another star. Stuffed can't even describe how we felt when getting up from the table. Unfortunately though they had upcoming reservations so we weren't able to sit in the main room. We sat in their second dining room which was off to the side but still decorated. The World's Best BLT in a Lonely Gas Station Corner…read more Tucked into the dim corner of a run-down gas station off Highway 14 is The Griddle Stop, a place so unassuming you'd drive past it a hundred times without a second thought. Dusty windows, flickering neon, and a gas pump that hasn't worked since the Clinton administration. But behind a creaky door and a scratched-up counter sits the holy grail of sandwiches: the world's best BLT. Served on thick, toasted sourdough that crackles just right under your bite, the bacon comes in unapologetically fat slabs -- smoky, crisp, and curled like it has a story to tell. The lettuce? Iceberg, shredded fresh and cold like it was pulled straight from a mountain stream. The tomatoes are impossibly red, juicy, and somehow always in season, kissed with just enough salt to make your lips tingle. And the mayo -- homemade, garlicky, and spread edge to edge -- binds the whole miracle together. There's no music playing, no Instagram signage, and the cook, a retired Marine named Earl, only grunts when you compliment his food. But when that sandwich hits your table (a wobbly Formica top near the vending machine), the world slows down. You forget you're alone. You forget the gas station smell. You forget everything but the next bite. Five stars. No frills. No fuss. Just the kind of meal that makes you question every fancy sandwich you've ever overpaid for. Earl doesn't serve happiness, but he'll sure as hell give you the sandwich that feels like it.

Most of the reviews are stating the vibe and the food is good. I'm not sure but even when I asked the staff after many failed attempts they were apologetic and couldn't really recommend much from the menu. The food wasn't palpable! For appetizers we got the bang bang salmon egg rolls that were drenched in bang bang sauce which made them too soft and over powered the egg rolls. For an entree, I first ordered the crab stuff shrimp. EPIC FAIL! The sauce had a tangy vinegar taste and was all over the dish and I had to send it back! The linguine was drenched in sauce and over cooked, with small pieces of seafood (it could have been imitation seafood for all we know). The red snapper was rubbery and the rice was not cooked with a touch of salt and fake Cajun coloring.
