4-star for you my friend! OK, first off, if you are coming here, you know you are not really wanting to have authentic Chinese food. If you accidentally stumbled here for authentic Chinese, then I'm sorry you are in the wrong spot. Go across the street to Peter Chang instead of eating here and then giving this place a mediocre rating. When it comes to American Chinese, out of all the panda express and other similar restaurant with names including words "golden, garden, china, king, wok", this place actually stands out as pretty decent. The food was pretty fresh, not overly salty (still salty but it's sort of expected) , and there are a few dishes that are not battered fried. On top of that, the restaurant itself is super clean and unexpectedly well decorated. This is now my go-to place for the non-authentic Chinese restaurant. Final tip -- To get the best tasting food, do not look at what you think taste best, but rather get whatever just came out, you will not disappoint. read more

Ive been to the staples location and this one, and they seem to be replica's in what I have experienced. So I am gonna paste what I wrote for the other one. Ok, lets take a moment to be honest with ourselves. Its FAST FOOD chinese food. Its not going to be held to the same standard as the normal sit down places. So, I think its awesome for what it is. Its quick, its tasty, it is a bit more expensive than I am used to for drive thru, but I think its worth it. I am in love with the Beijing Beef! Down side, is I wish they stayed open until at least midnight. They also shut down and dont make food up until the close. So if you come close to closing, they will only offer you what is left to eat. No MTO everything is made and kept warm, like a buffet style inside. So if you have allergies, I would avoid this chain. read more

This is the slowest Panda Express I have ever been to. It doesn't after if you're in the drive thru or inside you will be waiting for at least 10 minutes to place your order. Tonight it was 20 minutes. In the many times I've been here I've noticed that they will only take and prepare one order at a time in the drive thru. If they were able to take more than one order I do think the process would speed up a little bit. read more

So usually this is one of my favorite locations to visit because they're usually pretty good about time and what I order, but not this time. I went in yesterday after I got off work to get some food to take home for dinner. The lady at the drive-thru didn't really understand what I wanted. I told her I wanted 3 orders of cream cheese Rangoon's, and so she thought I meant one order. She then said yes so three pieces come in an order, and then I couldn't really understand her. So I had to tell her I wanted three orders again, and then she asked so you want 9 pieces? I then said yes that's correct. Then I waited about 5 minutes due to their being 2 cars in front of me and I waited a couple more minutes for her to ring up my food and hand it to me. I checked my bag to make sure everything was in there, and I had ordered an a la carte order of noodles, but they weren't in there. I went inside with my bag and receipt, and had told the gentlemen what had happened. He had let me know that it would be a 3-5 min wait for more noodles to be cooked, and so I told him that's fine. Then as I was waiting these two girls came to order their food, and they left a tip. The cashier rang the bell and the cooks didn't even say thank you they were just talking away, and the cashier kind of scoffed and said someone left you a tip and was mad due to the fact they didn't say thank you for the person leaving a tip. Then the cashier told the cooks you guys need to say "welcome to panda" when people come in, and they kinda just ignored her. The girl that was the cashier was nice enough to ask me if I was helped since the guy I had talked to had disappeared. She grabbed me what I needed, and I was on my way. Usually when I go to this location it's been great, the service is good, and the food is delicious but this is the one time that it just seemed to be a good day. I've never had a problem until last night. Plus when they made the new batch of noodles that I was waiting on tasted dry like it needed to either be cooked longer or needed more sauce like they had rushed it. read more

My first visit to Panda Express in my own area, I was very disappointed after having first experienced this restaurant at two separate locations in Illinois a week ago. The food quality, portions, service and staff, not to mention the prices, were just marvelous in Illinois, so I truly was anticipating going to my local Panda that opened about a year ago. Timing was Saturday evening about 7:30 pm. The drive-thru was packed. The inside was packed with a line ending close to the entrance door. And that inside line didn't move for at least five minutes, then only a foot, then another five minutes, on and on. Only two employees were working the inside and they were SLOW. The employees handling the drive-thru, however, were zipping around at a fierce pace, filling order after order while I was at a standstill. I've actually never been to a fast food place where service was slower inside than out, so I'd say Panda has its priorities confused. (I've heard that there is a counter for the drive-thru that measure productivity standards, but not inside, so employees are pressured to perform for the drive thru customers before others.) I watched the servers pile food into drive thru orders while shorting the inside customers, especially when the bowls of entrees were getting low. The "premium" entrees were shorted the most despite the price being $1.25 more...servings should be exactly the same as regular entrees when one is paying more for it, eh? And, boy, did I get shorted. The mushroom chicken was a very small serving AND had no chicken in it. I got only huge mushrooms, zucchini slices and strong onion that overpowered the entire dish (which means cheap onions). The mixed vegetables are NEVER what is pictured in the store or online...never seen a carrot or zucchini in them, only broccoli and a scant slice of cabbage, or broccoli and celery (yuk). Apparently broccoli and onion are the cheapest staples? I was overcharged at the register for a premium entree that I did not get, with the employee stating that it was written on the container that I got Shanghai Angus Steak. She finally LOOKED once I told her this was an option to prove that I had actually gotten mushroom chicken, and she removed the extra $1.25. I had a coupon for a free "entree item," but only got $1.50 deducted from the check because no one could explain exactly what an "entree item" was or how the $1.50 was calculated. No care was taken with packing my order to go. I had a plate and a bowl, along with two orders of rangoons and sauces. I looked in the bag before leaving, and the entrees were leaning sideways, the sauces were dripping where the server hadn't bothered to wipe the container after spilling, and there was liquid already accumulating in the bottom of the bag. I couldn't set the bag on my carseat without risking leakage onto the upholstery. When I left, the line was even further "out the door" than when I arrived. While the flavors of the food were very good, what we got of it, I felt very cheated when I had expected a similar experience as in Illinois. I don't like going through Drive Thru because I like to see the food, watch prices being rung up, and not feel rushed if there is a mistake or problem to solve, but it's obvious to me that the drive thru is given priority at this location and that I will have to use it next time. And, I won't hesitate to hold up the entire line if there is a problem, which I fully expect there to be. I do plan to return, hopefully when the crowd is smaller and the servings are appropriately larger. read more

Excellent drive through service and selections. Do wish they would not fill containers with such large amount of rice or noodles there is little room for the meat and vegetables. I am sure it is cost effective for them, but seems a bit of a "rip off" for the customer. Just saying..... read more

Panda just can't get it together. I've been here half a dozen times. Always too much food prepared so it doesn't keep to proper temperature. Too much chow mien, teriyaki chicken. Too much prepared means cold entree for customers. Employee in dining room used boom and dust pan with rubber gloves, then used same rubber gloves to touch eating part of plastic forks to restock. Panda Express at the Pinnacle in Bristol TN refused to serve me and my daughter after we waited in line for 5 minutes. They told me I had to have a mask on. I explained that I have a medical condition that kept me from wearing a mask. It didn't matter. I asked if my daughter who is under age could order and they said "only if she has a mask." We left, went to Chick-fil-A and got served with no issues. read more

Visiting for lunch with my coworker. A gentleman asked me if I wanted to try to sample. I did ask to try the Walnut shrimp. It was delicious! My coworker and I told him just a moment while we decided what we wanted to eat. He waited a few moments and then walked to the back to refill the bar. Lynn walked up and asked were we ready to order. I replied yes. I told her I wanted the beef with broccoli with vegetables, no rice. I saw the beef with broccoli was down to the bottom so I asked for the brown sauce that was at the bottom of the bowl. She said I have no way of getting the sauce. There was a serving tong in the bowl but I do not know of any restaurant that doesn't have spoons. I asked her do you all not have spoons in this restaurant, she replied no. I repeated, there's no spoons here. She said no. I said ok. I walked off to the register. She then asks is there anything else I would like. I said no. She then said you don't want an egg roll or wontons. I said no. She said is this all you would like to eat. I said yes. Thinking in the back of my head why is this lady aggressively asking me to order extra food. She rang up my food and as I was looking to pay, I saw the gentleman bring a clean spoon out. I said sir can you please use a spoon to put some additional brown sauce beef with broccoli. Adding you're employee Lynn refuse to assist me, saying you don't have spoons. He nicely did it with no problem. I paid for my food. I then proceeded to pay for another team member's food separately. She again aggressively was trying to upsale me on food asking me maybe 5 times this time if I wanted additional food. I didn't forget anything I see it's all right there in front of me. Lynn when I say no I means no. Don't harass your customers to buy extra food. read more

Cleanliness was the only reason why I would give this place an extra star! I came in and got a "bowl" because it was still early in the morning and I just want something small. I got the half and half and steak. When they bring my order out there was a decent amount of meat yet the rest of everything else was mainly vegetables and barely any chow mein! When I address the concerns she stared at me like she have no ideas what I'm talking about! By now I'm just like forget it! I proceed to order a small side order of chow mein and of course she charged me the full price! So now, I just paid $8 for my meal and another $3.39 a total of about $11 for a meal that I'm not going to finish and being upset about! I asked to speak to the manager and I was told that he will not be in til later! This is my second Times here and definitely will be my last! Okay- good news first. The orange chicken is AMAZING (to me), that's literally it. NOW, on to the bad. The customer service is GOD AWFUL. 9/10 times my order is wrong (how hard is it to put orange chicken and brown rice on a plate???), the drive thru line is slow-moving and the staff there don't awknoledge you once you get to the window; once I waited there 15 minutes AT THE WINDOW without so much as a glance. I've worked in fast food before (Chickfila) so I guess my standards are high but come on. Also, the vegetables are tasteless, have this weird slime on them, and the rice is super dry. The manager here is the only saving grace, I don't know her name but she is wonderful, the ONLY reason I come here anymore. Placed an online order to be picked up at 11:30 and it wasn't ready when I got there. It was supposed to be half white rice and half chow mein but it was only the white rice. The teriyaki chicken looks nothing like what it looks like online it's all dark meat no white meat. I will not be going back to this location. I confirmed my order on the receipt attached to the bag and it was half and half. These people don't pay attention nor do they care. They always use the excuse they are making more food because they ran out. Why not prep better or earlier so customers aren't waiting for food only to get the WRONG order. read more

People really enjoy this place? The food is absolutely tasteless. I don't think they even use seasoning. I know this obviously isn't authentic Chinese food but I didn't expect it to be so BAD either! I tried to find some sauce to help make the food taste more edible but couldn't locate any at the self service counter. They were extremely busy when I was there around 4pm on a Saturday. They have a drive-thru window so the food goes to both dine-in customers and drive-thru customers. This means that when I got to the front of the line all the "fried rice" was gone. I put quotations because it's really just regular rice with peas and carrots. I had to wait a few minutes for more to be made. I got a plate with fried rice, chow mein, and orange chicken. The chow mein was garbage. The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars is because they offered me a free medium fountain drink because I had to wait for so long. We were waiting for a few of the dishes for my wife that they were out of. One of he items had a partial serving, but my wife requested to wait for the fresh product. After waiting for several minutes, one of the employees scooped the last bit of the older shrimp dish and put it in my wife's to go plate. This was after my wife had requested fresh product. They also got the type of rice wrong (waited for that too), giving her fried vs. the requested white. The bottom line, she was not listening. We go to check out and again we are asked for a donation.
