The first time I have Chinese food in Panda Express! Before I went to USA I already heard about this restaurant and saw in the Big Bang tv show. I was eager to try it. I do enjoy Panda Express although this was my first time visiting this particular location. I ordered a meal for myself in the drive through and the total was $14.00. When I got to the window to pay I handed over my card to the man at the window and smiled thinking that everything was going to work out great for both of us. After a few minutes with my debit card he came back to me and said that my card was declined. I thought that this was odd as I should have had plenty of funds to cover the transaction so I immediately checked my bank account on my phone and quickly found that he had charged me $140 instead of the $14 total. When I brought this to his attention he said that he had not run the card for $140. I showed him my phone and that it clearly had charged my account $140 to which he replied that he had not run the transaction and that my account did not have sufficient funds for the transaction. At this point I told him that I would come inside as I was holding up the line and we were not getting anywhere. When I got inside I explained that there was no money left in my account to pay for my order due to the fact that I did not have enough funds in my account to cover the $140. When I asked to speak to the manager he told me that he was the manager and that he had reversed the transaction. While I was explaining to him that it would take several days at minimum to get refunded for the error I was told by another customer to quit my bitching and stop holding up the line. At this point I was thoroughly embarrassed as I barely had enough in my account to cover the $140 and now could not afford to pay for my order. I explained to the upset customer what had happened and he told me to take it up with the general manager. I then asked for the general managers name and was told by the man I was talking to named Jose that he was the general manager and that he had already done everything that he could do. I never would have guessed that a quick lunch order would have left me humiliated and broke. This was one of the worst experiences that I have ever had at any business. I understand that mistakes happen. Customer service with a positive attitude can make up for a lot of errors and a smile to a customer after a mixup like this costs the "general manager" and the restaurant absolutely nothing. It is wrong for credit card processing companies and banks to take money from your card instantly and then hold funds for up to 15 days in some cases to correct mistakes like this to begin with and I know that the staff at Panda Express is not to blame for that however this employee denying any wrongdoing and suggesting that was blowing things out of proportion by simply clarifying the situation was highly degrading and left me humiliated on top of being broke and hungry for the afternoon. :( I would say that in the end after reading all of the other reviews on this place it is probably time for Panda Express to really evaluate this location and decide to pull the franchise agreement from this location if they can not get their staff to understand the basic fundamentals of customer service. read more

I know panda isn't the best authentic Chinese food around.. but it's GOOD. And it gets the job done and hits the spot for me every time. Sometimes you just crave it and need it and it's good. I always go for orange chicken and chow mein but sometimes will get the sweet fire chicken. Always good. Especially if you come there when they just made it and it's fresh. This place has a bunch of door knobs for employees. I love how they make you request silverware when you order from the drive thru. I then ask for silverware and these doorknobs don't have it. Dumb, incompetent workers. My dog can take orders better. read more

The drive through never gets my order right. When I go in, I have to wait much too long to even be acknowledged, and then half the time the cook is behind and I have to wait. Sometimes I have waited over 15 minutes after ordering. read more

Panda Express is an old standby. It's not the best Chinese food, but it's predictable. Having eaten at many different Panda Expresses, the food is always relatively fresh, there's always something new to try on their menu as well as the old favorites, and most of their dishes are relatively healthy (it's always impressive to see all the stacked bins of veggies for example). They also do a good job of hiring helpful staff members. I've had mostly good experiences at Panda, and that includes the one at Lake Oswego. My only gripe (besides not having slightly better recipes) is that this particular restaurant in Lake Oswego seems a bit inefficient, especially with regards to helping the customers in the restaurant itself. You'll probably wait double or triple the time to get your food if you walk in vs if you use the drive-thru has been my experience. Which is a shame because all things being equal I'd rather walk in and get a good look at the dishes before deciding on what I want. Oh well. read more

It's not a shocker, right? The two stars? Because you knew, Katrina, going in... or at least you SHOULD have known... this wasn't going to end well. The service is fine. They are efficient and give you what you have ordered. It's not their fault, Katrina. You ordered that food. You wanted to have something "different." That's all on you. Here's what you've tried: beef with broccoli, orange chicken, chicken with string beans, fried rice, white rice, all that jazz. Here's what you've been able to eat in its entirety: the fortune cookie. Each to his own learning curve; I understand. Like how it took you 5 years of ordering the Carl's Jr #3 once every six months before it stuck in your pea brain that it makes you feel ill. So maybe this last time is the last time you make your way through that Panda Express drive-thru. Maybe you write it down and remember why. Why: You've been a fast food connoisseur since your mom worked at Burger King when you were 2 years old. You've seen and tasted the changes, especially in the meats. When not constituted of chipboard, all fast-food meats have become progressively mealier, but you've learned to pick the better ones. Panda Express, Katrina: not one of the better ones. The Panda seems to have a corner on the soggiest segment of this market. The meat and vegetables are about the same mushy consistency, which all works to nicely complement the tepid temperature and awful styrofoam container. You know the sound of a plastic fork against styrofoam? I'm cringing just thinking about it. I could -- and probably should -- get much better Chinese food delivered to my work or house for about the same price. Even Jack-in-the-Box has a decent Teriyaki Bowl that renders this disaster unnecessary. They do have good fortune cookies, although even the fortunes themselves are kinda crap. My last one (cross my fingers and hope to die) said: PLEASURES AWAIT YOU BY THE SEASHORE. I stopped by here on my way to a movie premier, and have to say it's better than expected. Usually, I'd think of these on the same level as Taco Bell or Mc-D or BK... Untrue! Panda Express is much cleaner and the food is much better for you. Of course it may be a few bucks more than a value meal for other fast-food joints, but overall, you're going to each much better. I ordered the fried rice with Pepper Shrimp and Beijing Beef. I always have to grab a couple of the hot packets and add those, because the spice they season it with is not for the average Korean that likes it extra spicy:-) All of this was less than $10.00 and was quick and easy. I'd definitely stop by here again in the future and there are usually little to no lines. read more

I can't believe I am leaving a review about Panda Express. Twice I have been to this location with my hungry toddler. After ordering in the drive-thru lane, they had me pull in the front of the restaurant to wait for something to finish cooking. I waited 20 minutes the first visit, and 15 minutes the second time. When I complained about the wait, the staff shrugged and walked away. Seriously don't waste your time. Go to an AUTHENTIC Chinese restaurant and get tastier food faster. read more

Panda is a place my kids like to go. I don't really care too much for them though. So my review is a mix of mine and my children. For me, they use too much vinegar and the food seems to sit there far too long to be considered fresh. There are some things I like...the size of their soda cups, rangoons, and pepper chicken. I think they should do more with their noodles...offer different kinds (mushrooms!). Prices are kind of standard, but I've had better for the same price. read more

A couple of friends and i were craving some good chinese food for lunch. We stumbled upon a little hole in the wall place called panda express. Clearly a small establishment, that must have been in the same family for years. The cuisine was... authentic and rich. I found myself dying to know the recipe for this exotic dish i tried called orange chicken, my server was admittedly not from the orient, so she could not speak to the dish's specific origins. I guess it will remain an ancient chinese secret... My hot and sour soup was slightly watery so i can unfortunately only give it a 4 out of 5 stars. This place is truly one of a kind... Check it out. Got a panda bowl with noodles and string bean chicken and had to spit out/throw away a good portion of the chicken because it was so fatty/slimy or hard. So weird. Apparently their workers decide when they close and can turn lights off on customers.

It's a good thing the food was decent. It was still moderately warm for a delivery, the quality itself was fantastic the meat was tender the veggies were crush.The chow mein had probably more cabbage that I would have cared for but it didn't ruin it. My issue is with the execution of my delivery. Why were there no utensils or napkins or soy sauce in my delivery. People order delivery so they do not have to leave the comfort of their home or in this case a hotel and if you know you're delivering to a hotel why would none of these items be in my order. They changed our order without asking "to something that would make it cheaper" which made sharing our order very difficult as I had to pay the other person for the extra portion we didn't ask for. Then when asking them why, the cashier was arrogant and disinterested in why we cared. Just would have been nice to ask, or gotten what we ordered. read more

I've had multiple issues with this location within an hour of closing time, posted time is 10, and frequently at 9pm I am told that there are only 2-3 options left and that the kitchen is closed. Why are you closing your kitchen well before your posted closing time? I've work in the service industry for over 5 years and watched lazy employees try to pull this crap and get fired time and time again. Without customers there is no paychec If you are wanting panda and it's within an hour of closing time don't try this location you will just end up leaving hungry and upset. Update: tried again a few days later. Walked in at 845. With three people in front of me. By the time I got to the front of the line there were only 4 entree options left and I was informed the kitchen had yet again close 1:15 before close. Unbelievable, I honestly Hope the evening staff gets fired and replaced, so I don't have to start driving to Beaverton to get panda to be served during open hours. read more

Holy cow, this was an unpleasant experience. The word "express" doesn't belong anywhere near this location--the slowest, rudest service I've ever seen. Snapped at the lady behind me in line for trying to flag someone down after 10 minutes of waiting unacknowledged. I understand waiting if they're out of something, it happens, but if you're out of *everything* then you're doing it wrong. The food was the same as it is at every other location, which is good enough, but the customer shouldn't feel like the one doing the work. I've had some visits here that have been good, and others that have been bad. One time I waited 25 min in the drive thru for my food. Today I waited 12 after being told it would be 6 min for orange chicken (but I was already stuck in the drive thru line so couldn't have backed out at that point if I wanted to. I went to this location after opening time and the staff didn't have the doors unlocked, just ignored me at the door. They just looked at me, didn't answer their phone... I just can't believe that they don't put an extra effort to refill their food when customers are coming to get dinner. How hard is it to refill your stock so people have food to eat? They tell us that we have to wait for the food to get cooked and they seem like they don't care about their jobs. Not coming here for food anymore. He was thoroughly impressed with his visit, and really enjoyed the history of Panda Express on the looping video monitor. I have ordered Panda Express several times to be derived via grub hub. Each time I place an order I add something in the comments. I never seem to get what it is I have requested in the comment section. So today I thought I would call to remind them to look at the comment section so I can get my sweet and sour sauce. I was told no problem we will take care of it. Fast forward - my order arrives and low and behold - NO SWEET AND SOUR SAUCE!! Called them to complain - he says "its not our problem, call grub hub" UGH - whats the point of putting in notes if no one is going to read them?!?!? when grub hub called panda on my behalf they were told - it is up to the customer that is placing the order to order what they want, it is not their problem if I ordered incorrectly!! They have a sign on their door saying that you may enter if you have a face covering. So I did and I was yelled at because they changed their mind, but wouldn't take the sign down. I went back outside and ordered, and paid. The lady couldn't count or maybe needed glasses and said I was a dollar short when I know that I wasnt(counted it out in front of her. This Panda location is unique because it offers a drive-through and saves me time when I just need a quick bite to eat. The employees here have always been helpful and kind to me. Sometimes the sign blocking the drive through seems unnecessary, and might be losing sales because of it. Everyone I've talked to has had positive experiences here. read more

This place is CRAP.. I don't recommend it. They serve you tiny portions, the chicken and beef are always over cooked to where they are hard. You get like 3 shrimps with tons of walnuts that you pay a dollar extra for. The noodles are hard, they are hardly cooked with NO taste. Rice is usually warm or cold and oily..
