WORST experience ive ever had at this panda express. I was literally so determined I made a yelp account on my school chromebook. I placed my order and waited 20 MINUTES because these workers cant read. I went up three times to the lady and asked for my name. all times she didnt bother to look for my name and kept saying it would almost be out. after waiting until the point I was almost late to class. As a last resort my friend walked up to the front and said my name and she actually looked that time for my order and found it. since it had been ready and waiting for the past 18 minutes. terrible service I hope that lady never servers me again.

Well, I thought that I ordered my food at the Irvine location at it turned out it was Mission Viejo. I was already about an hour late for pickup before I called Mission Viejo Panda Express to let them know. Raymond picked up the phone. I told him I was running late and he told me my food was sitting out for about an hour and OFFERED to ask the kitchen to remake the food for me. I gladly thanked him and God blessed him for his kindness and thoughtfulness. He asked about how long I would take before I arrived. I told him about 20 minutes and he said he would have them remake it in about 15 minutes. I ended up getting there after about 27 minutes and he was actually the one who helped me when I walked up to the Pick-Up counter. Haha, I saw his name tag and said, "Hey Raymond it's Frankie!" He laughed and smiled and handed me my food while saying, "It's still nice and fresh for you". I God blessed him and thanked him again. He was very kind and I'm so glad he and the kitchen and Panda Express went out of their way to not only make my order but keep it warm for me. And the food?? 5 out of 5!! The Orange Kitchen with Grilled Teriyaki Chicken over chow mein?? My tastebuds are cluckin haha!!! I'm so glad I tried Panda Express in Mission Viejo for the first time! I'm looking forward to trying a NEW dish next time!!

    2 item plate

I placed an online order for one 2 entree plate and one 3 entree plate. the entrees where halfway down for an $11 & $13 plate. first time i have this issue at a panda. for the most part they give a decent amount. place looks like it gets quite busy but that shouldn't be a problem on serving right.

The green bean chicken had soggy overcooked green beans, barely any chicken that was really dry and stale.

I'm so sad and disheartened. Given these dishes are part of a menu that is cooked so often, they should nail it everytime. It's so inconsistent, I feel like ordering for delivery the food is always horrible compared to walking in and getting in line. I'm sure no one cares, there's no quality control either. Oh well, maybe better luck next time I guess.

I mobile ordered and came when my order was ready. I was so excited to eat this at home only to find my order was wrong. :( I'll still eat it but I wish I got my broccoli beef.

Life is too short for bad Chinese food. I know this, and yet I still ordered food to go from here the other day. Unfortunately I can't comment on the service or ambiance, as hubby picked up our food to go. I ordered the orange chicken with 1/2 chow mein and 1/2 rice. First of all, the orange chicken was not orange and nor did it taste like orange chicken that I've had from other Chinese restaurants. The worst part is that I could barely taste the chicken. All I could really taste was the fried chicken skin and the glazed sauce on it. The chow mein was also weak. It was basically noods with cabbage. And the rice was unfortunately dry. I've learned my lesson and will not grub on bad Chinese food again.

This is all the meat they gave me that's crazy they act like it's coming out their check never going back to this place

Some of my favorites have been every dumpling, egg rolls, the scallops, the filet mignon chow fun, and the pork fried rice. Meat is always tender. The Eggplant tasted like they had emptied an entire salt shaker into it and was inedible. Our server, for lack of a better word, Isabel, was extremely rude and inattentive the entire time. Isabel thought it would be a good idea to focus on the other tables while basically ignoring ours. The worst part was at the end of the meal after I had requested she take the charge off the bill for the horrible food. Isabel begrudgingly agreed to take it off with not as much as any type of apology. It then took her probably 10 minutes to return after gleefully chatting with other tables and walking by us maybe 4-5 times without making eye contact. Once Isabel produced her handheld POS terminal and asked me how I would be paying, I called her out on the lack of courtesy and basic manners. I asked her if she'd be apologizing for the lousy food and she literally said "No, it's not my fault." All the time she had this maniacal grin on her face that was not only out of place but a little on the psychotic side. Isabel kept glaring at me every time she walked by as if to say I don't owe you a thing and there's nothing you can do about it. After speaking with the manager (Shu) I understand how Isabel has this attitude. He was oblivious to the lack of decency and common sense displayed. He just kept repeating the fact that they had removed it from the bill without the least bit of remorse. All this time I was speaking with Shu, Isabel kept walking around with this crazed grin on her face to hear what we were discussing. I've honestly never experienced any server like her in my entire life. The best Shu could do was to tell me the next time I came in they'd seat me with another server. The next time? This speaks to the oblivious nature of the employees at China Moon. He actually thought that after that, I would be returning. Isabel was the weirdest server I've literally ever had in my life and it was clear at the end that Shu didn't have a clue about customer service or the dining experience. I would avoid this place at all costs unless you enjoy being treated like garbage by people that don't have any clue what service is.

My job is to help you avoid the tragic first‑date mistakes I've already made, like the overpriced spots, the bland dishes, the "why is this chair attacking my spine?" seating. I've wasted the time, energy and money on the other loser spots so you don't have to. But when I find a place that's clean, visually appealing, thoughtfully designed, and serving food that's actually seasoned, cooked well, and plated with pride? Oh, I'm shouting it from the rooftops. So let me put you on to my latest discovery: DIHO SIAM, right in the heart of Ladera Ranch. If you've followed me on Yelp for a while, you already know I'm a lifelong Thai‑food fanatic. I've been loyal to Thai cuisine longer than some people stay loyal in relationships. Since I wasn't trying to overeat, I ordered an appetizer, and let me tell you, this "appetizer" came out looking like a BIG FULL-GROWN lunch. I'm not a big white‑meat gal, so I asked if they had anything with dark meat. I ended up with chicken wings and drumsticks in a sweet‑and‑sour sauce. The moment I cut into that chicken? I ascended. The breading had that perfect balance...not too salty, not too bland...crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. I'm not saying I had a foodie‑induced spiritual experience, but if I did, nobody needed to know. One look at the rest of the menu and I knew I'd be back. Yes, I will absolutely make the 45‑minute drive to try their lunch dishes. It's worth it. And the prices? Shockingly reasonable considering the economy is basically held together with duct tape and vibes. Now, my one note for the owners: please, for the love of all things holy and iced... offer a dairy‑free Thai iced tea option. It was 94° today, and I was ready to down two giant glasses, but they only use half‑and‑half. This is California. We are oat‑milk, soy‑milk, almond‑milk, "I'm‑on‑Ozempic‑don't‑judge‑me" people. Give the people what they want. Add oat milk to the menu, put a cute little 4x5 flyer in a clear acrylic stand on each table announcing your new dairy‑free Thai iced tea, and watch customers flock to it. And just to close this out on a high note: I'm 100% coming back to Diho Siam. There are way too many dishes on that menu calling my name, and I fully intend to answer. Consider this my official teaser...I'll be updating my Yelp Elite Squad review after my next visit, and trust me, people wait for those updates like they wait for a second date after a great first one. I might even give you an extra star and make it a Five-Star review! Wink! wink! Stay tuned, because this place has officially earned a spot on my "must‑return" list. And don't forget to give me a thumbs up or a heart if you like my reviews and follow me!

Shanghai style smoked fish ($16.5) - This fish isn't smoked, rather it's deep fried twice creating an extremely crispy exterior and is dipped in a sweet soy sauce. It's a unique tasting appetizer, perfect for sharing. Sauteed string beans with garlic ($13.5) - These beans had a slight crunch and are a great veggie option. Steamed fish and shrimp dumplings ($14.50 - 8 pieces) - This is a good option if one is looking to get their dumpling fix. Steamed veggie dumplings ($14.50 - 8 pieces) - This is another good dumpling option that tastes great. However the dumplings aren't that filling themselves. Braised beef shank noodle soup ($16.50) - Made with braised beef, pickles, cilantro, bok choy, green onions, noodles and a savory and spicy beef spot, this dish is perfect for a cold day. Crispy beef rolls ($15 - 6 pieces) - This consisted of tender beef, cucumbers, scallions, and a savory sauce all rolled in a crispy and flaky scallion pancake. It's one of my favorite items here. Kung pao chicken ($16) - This stir fried dish is prepared with tender chicken, peanuts, and spices and is my favorite dish here. Sweet and sour chicken ($16) - I was impressed with the quantity of chicken in this dish. It was perfectly prepared with a crispy batter and a tangy and sweet sauce that really hit the spot! Pineapple beef ($16) - This consisted of tender and thin pieces of beef stir fried with some pineapple and is another solid dish to get here. Chocolate mochi xiao long bao ($11 - 5 pieces) - These chewy dumplings had a wonderful chocolate filling. Rose flavored red bean buns ($14 for 3) - I felt these were pricey but they had a good amount of filling and the bao bun was soft and fluffy. Golden egg custard buns ($13.5 for 3) - These are similar to the red bean buns, except the inside has egg custard. I really wish they doubled or tripled the custard, because the amount they give is miniscule, and it's for that reason I would pass on these. Overall I'm impressed with many of the items here and the pricing is reasonable. Even though I've tried so many dishes here, I wish they had even more offerings that didn't have pork. I'll definitely be back.

The crab xiao long bao also tasted good, but several dumplings in the box had broken open during delivery, so all the soup leaked out (see photo). The beef rolls were decent, though the sauce leaned a little too sweet for my taste. The scallion pancakes were flavorful but slightly greasy. Overall, for the price and taste, I would still give it a solid 4/5.

Kuan Zhai Alley has changed my perspective on Sichuan food. As someone who was never big on the…read morecuisine, this restaurant exceeded my expectations. Everything we ordered was delicious, but there are some dishes that really stood out to me. The sliced fatty beef in pickled soup was full of flavor and had the perfect amount of sourness. The tofu with salted egg yolk was crispy on the outside and super soft in the inside, which I really enjoyed. I loved the crispy shrimp with lemon sauce. The batter was perfect and this honestly beats the typical honey walnut shrimp you get elsewhere. At the end, we had the glutinous rice cake with brown sugar. If you like mochi-style desserts, this will be your new favorite sweet treat. In addition, the service was great and the food came out fast. I'll definitely be coming back to try more dishes!

The ambiance is nice. Whole fish: 9/10. Really good and full of flavor. I liked that this had a lot of stuff in addition to the fish! Chicken with peppers: 9/10. Also good. Loved the flavor, the spice, and the crispness String beans: 8/10. Good but nothing particularly standout. Better than other restaurants, though Pumpkin cake: 9/10. I didn't know what to expect but I really liked it! It's soft, moist, and flavorful Lots of parking since it's a plaza with other food places. Great restaurants in the area. I would come back

Since my tastes aren't quite as adventurous, we ordered the Sichuan sweet and spicy chicken and the mapo tofu. I wasn't sure what to expect from the chicken dish, but it reminded me of a chicken in garlic sauce. The portion was very generous. full of meat, and not very spicy at all. Likewise, the mapo tofu wasn't that spicy but it had a lot of Sichuan peppercorns, which provided that mouth-numbing feel. The serving was large enough that we had leftovers (and the chicken dish, too). Maybe because my husband is not Chinese, they toned down the spice level - which is funny because I'm the one that can't handle spicy. The restaurant is nice and modern. They have QR codes for the menu, but they also have physical copies as well. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the menu was much larger than the menu pics I had seen uploaded on Yelp (I added a bunch of new ones). Service was fine (though they were arguing over whose fault it was that a customer was ignored, which gave it that authentic feel). Plenty of parking in the lot.
