I visited Panda Express with my husband and kids and had a very disappointing experience due to poor customer service. When we arrived, I asked to try the shrimp and then asked if you were out of Orange Chicken since the tray was empty. The server said more was being prepared and it would be a short wait, which I was completely fine with. I seated my kids and waited patiently. After some time, I noticed the shrimp was also out, and I was told it would take about 6 more minutes. Again, I waited. When I got up to check if it was ready, there were two servers behind the counter. One of them was respectful, but the other server, Jazmin, who later cashed me out, was extremely unprofessional. When I approached, she spoke to me in a very aggressive tone and said, "Are you going to order or are you just going to sit?" I was honestly shocked. I explained that I was waiting for the shrimp, as I had been told it would be ready shortly, and also mentioned that I have two young kids with me. Instead of understanding, she continued in the same tone, insisting that I had to order immediately. I came in to order food, not to sit around, but I preferred to wait so my food wouldn't get cold while waiting for the shrimp. Because of her attitude, I felt pressured to order earlier than I wanted, and my food ended up sitting and getting cold exactly what I was trying to avoid. On top of that, her behavior made me feel very uncomfortable, especially the way she kept staring at us while we were eating. I truly enjoy Panda Express food, but this experience was upsetting and unacceptable. I hope management takes this seriously and addresses the situation, because customers should not be treated this way. read more

This is a busy Panda Express but things are in order. The store is clean, and the food is always fresh (the moving crowd really helps with that but obviously could be a double edged sword with wait time but it's never bad IMO). People who work here are nice and especially Jack, the most cheerful worker ever! read more

I personally have worked in many restaurants and actually was offered a job through Panda Express for a manager position. I was told they truly value their customers and experience. Today I was told by Isabelle "You want more than that?!" Look, I understand if I asked for more than a serving, but I am more than happy to pay extra for an extra portion. I am NOT happy to be fat shamed and told I'm asking for too much chow mein at a restaurant I'm paying for to get dinner. I also got eyes rolled and laughed at for asking simply for my dinner order. Did an online order show my confirmation on the app. First thing I get told before anything is my order was already picked up by someone else. I am in shock since I paid for it and I'm here to pick up my food. I ask can you remake it. She says no someone picked it up we can't make it. I explain either a refund will need to be issued since I paid or they need to redo my order. She says No they can't do either and before she explains a thing calls the manager up. He takes a look at my order on the app 3 times before I get my food order. Get my food handed to me with attitude and then a sorry about that with plain eyes. I placed an order through the Panda Express app for pickup, (it was my first time using the app as I was trying to save a few dollars), I got a bowl a 2 entree plate and 2 orders of veggie rolls. Ordered it at like 3:50pm and it said the order would be ready at 4:15pm. My partner and I got to the location and I sent him in with my phone as I was tired. He went in a min or two after 4:15pm cause it was busy. I expected to wait a few minutes but after legit 20 minutes I texted him using his phone. Then I called the restaurant (using partners phone) to double check if the order was still being made. They sounded confused on the phone and asked for my code. I ended up going inside the restaurant to talk to the staff because the code was inside with my boyfriend. At the register was an older man and the person who I talked to on the phone met me near the register, I showed her my phone with the code and message that said to head to the location and pick up my order. She then went to talk to the cashier and after a moment came back and said that the order had already been picked up by a dasher. Confused I re explained that we ordered pickup through the app and at this location there isn't a shelf for dashers it's handed out by the staff. She seemed confused but then said she would just reprepare the order for us. The staff made the order right then and there pretty fast and the girl said she put in an extra order of the veggie rolls for the long wait (at this point it was like 4:45pm). We got home and found that there was 2 orders of the veggie rolls in the bag which is great but we ordered 2 to begin with so it wasn't really an extra order it was just our actual order. Overall Summary: The staff we interacted with were very friendly however it seems in the rush the cashier got confused and handed our order out to someone else. Honestly I don't know how long we would've waited if I hadn't called to ask about the order. Then at like 5:10pm I got a text message from the Panda app saying my order was ready, tbh it was kinda funny but it just seems that ordering for pickup / through the app at this location overall isn't really worth the hassle of trying to actually get the food especially during rush times or if you have any kind of time restraint. read more

I have always enjoyed panda express but this last visit really makes me want to come back soon. They really stepped up with their customer service, I was surprised at the difference in the service I received yesterday. If you haven't been there recently, go visit and leave a review. I've stopped eating out lately for a few reasons, high prices and food portions have gotten so much smaller and to top it off the customer service these days has been terrible at most places. I hope more places step up with their customer service the way panda express on lombard has. Great job read more

I've been here much later in the day (9:00pm) and it wasn't as good but earlier is obviously fresher. I had a "big plate" with original orange, sweet heat chicken, and honey walnuts shrimp and a side of chow mien and super greens. Overall I thought the food was great. The orange chicken 7/10. The sweet fire chicken 8/10. The honey walnut shrimp 8/10. Chow mien was seasoned well and not greasy. 9/10 Super greens were slightly greasy but still good. 8/10 Service was quick and ambiance is as expected for a Panda Express. My fried rice was brown rice...not regular white rice. Unless they've changed their recipe??? The entrees were okay. The string bean chicken was a grade c....I know take out doesn't guarantee freshness all the time...but my green beans looks shriveled up like they had been on the steam table for more than 2hrs....which I know is about the time everything is supposed to get switched out.... I barely got any chow mien, the little noodles that I did get was, was chopped up noodles. Which looked like a pile of straws. I ordered around dinner time so I'm just confused by the quality of food...my driver got there and had to wait an additional 15mins...so I was just expecting more out of this...I was reminded why I haven't eaten here in over 2 years....kinda sad that I made the decision to return as a customer. My black mother has been coming here for 15+ years and received the worst service she has ever had here this past week. The employees here accused her of not paying the full amount, which she did, as well as let other customers harass her and make her uncomfortable during the transaction. The employee accused her of not paying a quarter, but in fact they had not seen the quarter placed plainly in front of them, and proceeded to grill her over a QUARTER, accusing her of not paying. The other customers breached the 6 feet rule and said extremely rude things, made obscene gestures and waggled their butts at her and called her broke and made other racially charged comments. When the employee finally found the quarter, they refused to apologize to her and did not tell the other customers to leave her alone. This is extremely unacceptable customer service, and quite frankly the employees currently working there need to apologize to her and to offer something to make up for this shitty interaction. I like Panda Express and usually order the healthier options like green bean chicken and steamed greens. I only recently started to order from them through Grubhub but two of my three orders belonged to someone else. Their names were Luisa and Isa and mine is Lisa but theirs were both pick up orders. Isa enjoys a shocking amount of orange chicken and I loathe it. Luisa is a sweet fire chicken fanatic and I'm a diabetic who avoids sugar when possible. Yes, I was refunded but I'd rather get my food which shouldn't be too difficult if you read the receipt. read more

We did an online delivery order. The order was delivered through grub hub pretty quickly. We ordered two plates one orange chicken/teriyaki chicken, half fried rice/half chow mein and the other orange chicken/honey walnut shrimp. With half broccoli, half chow mein and spring rolls. The sauce sent with the spring rolls wasn't even 1/3 full in the tiny sauce container. The shrimp seemed a little off. The huge problem though was the insect I found mixed in with the cooked veggies. It made me wonder what type of practices do they have as far as cleaning the veggies, storing, and cooking them. I will definitely never eat Panda Express EVER again.
