Just what you'd expect from a typical Panda Express: greasy, over-salted, and a poor excuse for Chinese cuisine! In addition, the prices here are slightly higher due to being located on university property (situated on the bottom floor in the food court of UCR's HUB). I would only come here when there was nothing else to eat in the food court or if I was in a hurry to get to class, or rushing to the library to put in some study hours while grabbing something to eat to take into the library. read more

The staff here is way friendlier than the other Panda Express locations that I've been to. Furthermore, while the food is oily, it is not as oily as the other Panda locations. I love eating the eggplant tofu or the mushroom chicken here with chow mein. read more

Received another call from the DoorDash driver saying when she arrived to pick the order up she was told the store was closed and there was no order. When I contacted customer support they had no explanation as to what had happened and I was told it would take 7 business days to be refunded my $120.00. I really like Panda Express, but this review is more directed toward their sushi area. I ordered a Poke Bowl from Panda and though it tasted good, the service brought it down to 3 stars. I wasn't exactly confident in what I was supposed to order, but the employee serving the Poke did not have the patience to deal with me. I had chosen Eel as one of my choices of protein, but she told me I couldn't with such a snarky face. The eel was right next to the other fish so I thought I could choose it but she made it very clear that I couldn't. After that I felt pressured by her to not make mistakes again. When I was choosing the sauce that I wanted, I asked her which was the closest to a spicy mayo, and she poured some without confirming. So I asked her if the one she poured was like spicy mayo, and she answered, "yeah," in a terse manner. The Poke Bowl was good, but the service that day was ehh... The prices are pretty good under $10 a person. The line for Panda gets pretty intense sometimes, but no worries, the service is freaking fast. My fellow UCR classmates and non-student workers are really awesome at giving good service. They're friendly, and know what it feels like to be starving after have a bunch of classes back to back. LOL. They work at super sonic speed at this Panda Express, and they have to be because of all the people who want to stuff their faces with their awesome food. Pretty much every time you come to eat here the food you are served with is fresh off the stove. The reason behind it is because the food goes out so quick and they keep making more and more all the time. NOM NOM NOM! I always like to get a half chow mein and half fried rice with orange chicken and beef broccoli. The chow mein and fried rice, I'm going to be real here, it's not that great, the chow mein is better than the fried rice though. Prior to checking out on Yelp!!! I wanted Panda Express. I went to their website and placed an order. The nearest Panda Express was this location. Not knowing that it was located INSIDE University of Riverside. I kept driving around and around searching for this Panda Express. Not until I called and realized this location was inside the school. Well, this wasn't helpful as I don't attend this University and I wasn't going to search for a parking spot (Which I would have to paid) and then walk around the campus looking exactly where this panda express was located. My go to when I'm on campus because it has the fastest line. The steamed rice is always chunky and stale every time I get it so I recommend going with the fried rice. This place because of its location can get really crowded especially during lunch time. This is your ordinary Panda Express and it pretty much tastes the same compared to other locations. What I did not enjoy about my one visit is that I ordered a fried rice and orange chicken which was not ready yet but I didn't mind waiting for a new batch. Reviewing new Shanghia Angus Steak. Yes this is larger pieces fo steak compared to the small flat fatty meat in the broccoli and beef. The sauce is pretty good and the mushrooms and asparagas mix well with the meat. There are three problems I have with it. 1. It's not a good steam table item; only good a la carte 2. When you order it with your combo they ass $1.00 and don't tell you until it is on your plate. 3. Small portioins. One small scoop, i counted 4 pieces of meat on my plate. read more

I ordered a Panda Bowl with steamed rice and sweet fire chicken. They guy that served me put one small scoop over the rice, which I thought was strange, but I thought maybe it's more than I'm seeing from across the counter. I pay and sit down to eat and realize there are 6 small pieces of chicken on my pile of rice. I have been here plenty of times to know that is not normal. When I went back to ask if that is usually how much they give I was told they could only give me 2 more pieces of chicken. It's not that I was really hungry, it's the fact that I paid 6.20+ for a pile of rice and 6 small pieces of chicken.
