It was all eggplant, two pieces of tofu in a double entree order is wild

Ordered the eggplant tofu to-go and I received two pieces of tofu in a double entree order...

Ordered a hour ago before they even close an they said they weren't making any other food ordered chow main an got all veggies only like 7 noodles

I've been in a few times now. I want to like it here, I do. However there are a few major things that get in the way. The food- There is a serious disconnect between the "cook" and the server. As someone who loves to cook, I would never consider serving burnt food to a guest, as a hospitable person and gracious hostess I would never serve up something so obviously burnt. But it happens here all of the time. All of the food has burnt taste undertones. From the chow mein with it's burnt bits to half of my order teriyaki chicken it's all burnt. The only thing worth eating was my orange chicken. Even my raspberry tea was watered down. This has got to be the most depressing meal I've had in ages. Under $10, but just sad.

My plate after I requested more chow mein. Four shrimps for a $1.25-wow. Disappointed.

Super disappointed with this location. After craving a little Panda for a couple of hours, my boyfriend and I received skimpy portions of chow mein, orange chicken, and walnut shrimp. I had to ask for more chow mein since the original portion the server gave was about half of what is anticipated for a plate. They weren't short on food either! Additionally, no fortune cookies were given to us upon check out. Super glad I paid $17 for half the amount of food a plate serving comes with.

Emelyn gave me small portions and not much in the way of customer service. Plus trash cans were overflowing in the store.

You order at the counter and are given a number. Since they weren't very busy, they brought the food to my table, which I appreciated. The prices were on the high side, though fairly typical for many Vietnamese restaurants in California. I ordered the pork platter with rice and fried egg rolls. The portion size was about right. The rice was fine--nothing particularly memorable. The pork was a generous serving and had visible grill marks, but it didn't seem freshly grilled. It appeared to have been grilled previously and then reheated. It was served hot, but the texture and presentation were not what I would expect from freshly grilled meat. Fresh off the grill would have made a noticeable difference. The egg rolls were crispy on the outside, but the filling was dry and fairly unremarkable. They weren't bad, but they weren't a standout item either. The plate also came with iceberg lettuce, sliced tomato, cucumber, and pickled carrot and radish. The cucumber was fine, while the pickled vegetables were a bit more sour than I prefer. The biggest surprise was the dipping sauce for the egg rolls. Instead of the typical Vietnamese dipping sauce, which is usually one of my favorite parts of the meal, this version had quite a bit of chili added and was much spicier than expected. Some people may enjoy that, but it wasn't what I was anticipating. Overall, the meal was good, but not memorable enough to justify going out of my way for it. The prices felt a little high given the fast-food atmosphere. If I happened to be in the area again, I might stop in and give it another try, but I wouldn't make a special trip to return.

They have a lot of space inside and some out. Its very casual and fast type of restaurant. A place you can come with anybody! Always have to stop by here whenever I'm at SLO. My favorite is pad thai no matter where I go, but nowhere is like this place where EVERYTHING IS GOOD. I always compare their pad thai to everywhere else I go too. Can't forget their pad see ew, vegetables have a nice chew and beef easy to eat. The flavors are just right. You can also adjust spiciness! Just let them know how you like em! Not going to lie, their thai teas differ sometimes, but still good nevertheless. If you like it strong, this is it! I highly recommend the green thai tea, a bit sweet than the coffee and regular ones xP.

She pointed to the menu on top of her head, which is right there above the cashier, but I was standing so far at the back of the line which was at least 50 feet away, that I could not read the stuff on the menu that was over her head. But the point is that she wasn't even nice about it and said OK fine I'll give you a menu. When I finally made my decision, I asked her if I needed it to be on the other line or the line that she was standing at and she retorted - please give me a minute. There was no kindness. There was no common courtesy, just a matter of fact approach to really, an out of towner, tourist, who's just trying to give her restaurant's food a shot. I'm just really shocked at the rudeness. I proceeded to order the flat Thai noodles with mung beans and chicken. It came. It was fresh. But honestly, it lacks any flavor. Sorry. It was a disappointment. I'm from South East Asia. I know what I'm talking about. I would be generous to give them a 3/5. Sorry. It's not very good food at all. Which means there's nothing to say about this place other than - step up your Thai food game. Or be nice at least.

It was the end of a long, windy, and rainy drive all the way from 17-Mile Drive after heading down from San Jose. By the time I reached Morro Bay around 8:00 PM, my GPS and phone signal finally started to return. I then drove from west to east and reached San Luis Obispo, which I had visited the day before and which had left me with a very good impression. A kind police officer had even left a citation on my windshield with a $0 fine after I mistakenly parked my car in a commercial loading zone in Chinatown during a restricted time I hadn't realized was in effect. That Chinatown was small--perhaps the smallest I have ever seen--though I once thought the one in Singapore was the smallest, but then again, isn't all of Singapore essentially a Chinatown? I drove back into the heart of San Luis Obispo that evening, and instead of just finding a Domino's pizza, I decided to have a proper sit-down dinner. I searched for restaurants near me, and Thai Delight Cuisine popped up with a high score on Google Maps, only a few minutes away. I arrived around 8:20 PM, parked by the road, and paid the parking fee through a kiosk. The machine was as kind as the policeman and only charged me until 9:00 PM, after which parking was free. Once I entered the restaurant, every table was occupied except for one that hadn't even been cleaned yet. I was seated after being greeted kindly by three different waitresses. I was cold and sweaty from the drive, but I still ordered a glass of Thai tea for the caffeine, knowing I still had almost four hours of driving ahead of me. Unfortunately, the tea was too sweet and lacked the strong, aromatic flavor that a normal Thai tea should have; it felt more like a glass of sugar water. The atmosphere was very pleasant, though it was interesting to note that in the entire restaurant, only two of us were Asian, and we were the only two using chopsticks. Being in wine country, the restaurant had a large storage area with various wines that looked excellent, but I was in a hurry and not in the mood for a tasting. The Tom Yum seafood was served quickly, just a few minutes after I placed my order. It arrived in an aluminum pot that lacked the traditional middle chimney but was still good-looking. I took several pictures of the dish and then used my right hand to take the spoon to pour the soup, but I was "bitten" by the spoon--a very strong pain in my finger. I was confused and tried to take the spoon a second time, but I dropped it again. I realized the tip of the spoon had been resting directly over the fire underneath the pot and had become extremely hot. I had to grab some ice from my water to try and cool down my finger. The Tom Yum soup was neither spicy nor sour--perhaps just a hint of sourness, but far too little. It wasn't spicy at all, and the waitress didn't even ask for a spice level when I ordered. I wouldn't give this Tom Yum top marks if I were in Bangkok, as it was well below average, but honestly, it didn't taste bad on a cold night after a long drive. The seafood in the pot was very fresh, which I didn't expect to find in the middle of the mainland. The shrimp were big and tender, the crab was fresh, and the scallops and fish were all high quality; they used good sea fish rather than cheap basa. The only pity was that the soup was too sweet without that strong sour attack, which is the spirit of Tom Yum itself. I waited quite a while for the fried rice to arrive, only to find it contained the exact same ingredients: squid rolls, mussels, shrimp, crab legs, scallops, fish, and even tomatoes. It was identical to the Tom Yum, just in a different form. I wish they had told me the ingredients were the same when I ordered! The taste wasn't bad, even though the tomatoes and eggs were slightly burnt with dark marks and the rice was a bit too moist. Again, it was just way too sweet. So, in the end, I had a glass of sugar water, a pot of sugar soup, and a plate of sugar rice, and I got my finger burnt in the process--but I would still give it 4 stars. The seafood was incredibly fresh, the environment was very warming, and overall, I think I had a very good trip.
