The New Manager is EXTREMELY DISRESPECTFUL, yelling at every single customer, "WAIT OUTSIDE UNTIL SOMEONE ASSIST YOU," that enters the establishment. Believe me, I totally love Panda's food. I'd eat there at least weekly if they had a drive-up window or a reliable delivery service. I just totally HATE, HATE. HATE Door Dash, who has taken over their online ordering and delivery service here in Santa Maria. Today, my dinner was delivered an hour and 20 minutes late! That was after three follow-up calls and my dinner being remade twice because it got cold. The Door Dash driver NEVER showed to pick up and deliver my food. In the end, the assistant manager took pitty on me and delivered it herself. I've ordered delivery at least 6 times since Door Dash took over. None of my experiences were great, and two others were baď. You need to add 15-20 minutes to their delivery estimates. Once, the driver delivered my food to another house. Luckily, the app told me it was delivered, so I called the restaurant. They said that they could not contact the drive. It took maybe 45 minutes for me to track down the driver and then for him to reclaim my food from some neighbor. My food was delivered late and cold one other time. I probably won't eat at Panda until the pandemic is over because Door Dash has ruined the experience for me. I'm sure that I'm not the only one that feels this way. This is genuinely the angriest I've EVER been with ordering food. My husband went to get us dinner (stood in line 30 minutes) and order my usual, a plate of white rice with super greens as an entree and his order of a plate with white rice and teriyaki chicken. They then proceeded to put the chicken in with the rice and veggies as half and half sides, when he brought it to their attention, they just said "oh pick the chicken out." He told them I was a vegetarian and also that the super greens should've been the entree. So they gave him a tiny box of more veggies and refused to redo the plate insisting I could pick out the chicken. THEY THEN PROCEEDED TO CHARGE MY HUSBAND FOR TWO ORDERS OF CHICKEN. My wife and I normally love Panda and have been to them across the country, so it has been extra sad that our last two trips here were both pretty bad. This location was pretty good a year ago, but we have gone twice recently about a month apart and both of those orders were disappointing. I always order bigger plates(come with a third entree on the side) and one of my pickup orders did not have the final entree included. I wasn't about to call or go back for what amounted to 1.40$ so nothing came of it, but doesn't feel great. Regardless of that both of the plates felt like they were empty, which was immediately obvious because a year ago my wife and I would always talk about how heavy the bag would be when we ordered from panda. We order the same thing every time so you'd think the weight wouldn't differ so vastly. Sure enough it looked like each entree and side had been grabbed by a pinch of two fingers, and the chow mien was dry and mostly the old cabbage that always builds up over the day. I hope to see some good reviews again eventually and then maybe I'll give this location a try again, but currently it seems the management is trying to squeeze every cent out of their already cheap ingredients. I've known Panda Express workers who have explained how management will dictate portion sizes, so I doubt it's a coincidence that there were two separate times these workers happened to decide to give us 1/3rd of the regular portion sizes. I am not sure what it but it is apparent my voice is not being heard. Regarding the quality of food being cooked at this establishment has progessively gone down. The cooks trained on the frying of rice have to ensure it is properly cooked. I once again received a meal with uncooked grains of rice. It is totally uncalled for and paying for a meal that you expect to taste good turned out to be a disappointment. I could not bring it back to be inspected for the quality of taste, due to being taken out of town. I am definitely going to reach someone in the Coporate office on this matter. Changes need to be made, better training and quality control is needed. This has been the worst experience ever. I live panda express but this one experience left a bad taste. I started by ordering online through there website when I went to add my card to pay I received and error message that my card did not go through. I try so hard not to complain at restaurants but I asked for some fresh veggies because these ones looked like they had been sitting there for hours. I've always liked going to Panda when I'm out of town and every time food tastes about the same. However, last night we went to the movies and got out around 9pm. Didn't have many choices for dinner so we decided to go to Panda. Their store hours show closing at 10:30pm but when we got their around 9:15pm they had many empty woks...only a few choices. I ordered 2x 3 items with steamed rice and chow mein. Steamed rice was definitely not cooked thoroughly. It was dry and so was chow mein. I took the steamed rice back to the cashier and she politely apologized and exchanged it for fried rice. Service has always been great...just the food needs improvement!!! read more
