I came here today with 2 of my friends for a new year dinner. We were told there was a 45 minute wait but were called in at 20-25 minutes (no complaints here) The service was great. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us great recommendations. We got a decent amount of food for 3 people. She suggested the perfect amount. The food took a while to come but it's mostly because they were busy. The portions were big and definitely more than enough for a group. The ambiance is great for dinners with family and friends. It's a nice restaurant with authentic decor. We got 3 fountain drinks, the hot and sour soup, steamed pork dumplings, chow fun noodles with chicken, honey walnut shrimp, steamed rice and panda beef. Everything was delicious but id say the best thing i had was chow fun noodles with chicken. 20/10. The best part about all of this was how affordable the bill was ($97) If you're in the area and want panda express but more options and restaurant style, this is your place. read more

Which was perfect lol we didn't have to wait long to be seated. Waited a while for the food to come, but it honestly was fine because the food was really good. We dropped into Panda Inn to grab a quick lunch before seeing a film at the nearby Laemmle Theaters. We hadn't been here since the original building was torn down to construct a new one. The decor inside was nice and modern with clean lines and muted tones. We were quickly seated and ordered some hot tea while we perused the menu. We were delighted to see reasonably priced lunch specials so we chose to go that route! We got the Spicy Eggplant with Tofu and the Gingered Fish with Scallions. Both came with a choice of soup, rice and an egg roll. I opted for the Hot & Sour Soup and it didn't disappoint though I'd prefer it to have less cornstarch thickener. The Eggplant dish was very good and was reminiscent of their Panda Express version. The Gingered Fish was nicely seasoned and moist but as with most fried dishes, the crispy coating quickly becomes soggy when tossed with the sauce prior to serving. Overall, it was a decent meal and the perfect portion size for lunch. Was it the best Chinese lunch I've had? No, but it hit the spot in this situation. read more

Ordered take out from this place and overall the food was quite good, with good flavor, good seasoning and good flavor. The fried rice was on point and the hot and sour soup was perfect. The three ingredient plate was good and had a good portion of all the proteins. If you are looking at choosing this place for food, it's a great choice and you won't be disappointed. So this was our first time coming after the menu changes and the redesign. We had their homemade vegetable mini dumplings which do taste like they were made with care. This is an absolute can't miss menu item! Then we had their chicken and corn egg drop soup and it was a warm bowl of comforting goodness. Finally, for the main we tried one of the new menu items and got the short ribs. These had an unexpected but delicious flavor, my only criticism would be that the udon noodles make for a bit of an odd pairing. Service was impeccable as always with my drink getting refilled multiple times throughout the meal and multiple waiters checking in. As for the atmosphere, it's spacious inside and the tables are spread out so even when they are packed it still feels like you are there only with your party. A couple tips, if you need parking there is a garage across the street down the alley that I believe offers the first 60-90min free. The Panda Inn in Pasadena is still being remodeled so we decided we couldn't take it anymore LOL and went to the Glendale location. Completely remodeled from the ground up! The overall feel is modern. The service is great! And the food is exactly just how we remembered it. Sooo good and mouthwatering! We ordered the honey walnut shrimp and the fish with black bean. We normally order more but didn't want any food to go this time. Highly recommend!! Panda Inn never fails us. Parking situation was very difficult on a Sunday afternoon in Glendale. The lot across the street was $15 (which we thought was pricey) and very hard to find street parking. There is a public parking structure by the movie theater on the next block with first 90 minutes free. SCORE! read more

First off, Panda Inn is an iconic Chinese restaurant that set the bar high for authentic but upscale Chinese cuisine, and it holds a special nostalgic place in my heart, as I used to go to the one in San Diego at Horton Plaza growing up, and it sadly closed down. When I saw the one in Glendale I HAD to go! Their food is still top caliber, the staff is amazing at this location~ big shout out to Server Mel, who was a hustler of a server who was quick, kind, and gracious! And we can't forget their white chocolate covered fortune cookies! LOVE Panda Inn! And this location is a great example of why a classic never goes out of style :) read more

We waited at least a 1/2 hour for our wonton soup and after we had finished the rest of our dinner I finally left the table and found someone to just pack it up to go. I was advised that the restaurant would be closing at 9:00 PM and that takeout orders would be accepted until shortly before closing. Approximately one hour later, when I attempted to place a takeout order online for a 4:30 PM pickup, the website indicated that the restaurant was no longer accepting online orders. I then contacted the restaurant directly and was informed that online ordering had already been closed, despite the information I had received earlier.
