It was our second time here and as always, the food was incredible. Favorite thing on the menu has got to be the honey walnut shrimp, and Wagyu beef. Service was fast. It looked like there's a lot of cars in the parking lot, but we were seated right away, and our food came quickly as well. I'm glad this is next to the Ontario airport because whenever we pick up this is where we're going to stop

We had Marcel once again as our server and he made sure to be our drinks were always full, always asked to see if we needed anything, and was always helpful. This time we had Beef & Broccoli, Lo-Mein, Phoenix Chicken, Panda Beef, Pork fried rice and for appetizers pork potstickers, vegetables egg rolls, and chicken lettuce wraps!

Was staying near Panda Inn and wanted to check it out before I left the area. On my last day after checking out from my hotel across the street (check out my review for Springhill Suites Ontario) - I opted to stop by and get the Lunch Special here. Panda Inn - as you may or may not know - is the predecessor to the wildly popular Panda Express chain. The place was already bustling at 11am on a Monday morning - but I was seated promptly. My server was William - who was friendly, professional and attentive throughout my visit. There IS a difference between attentive service and intrusive service - luckily it was attentive here. Upon confirming that I was dining solo, he cleared the other place setting. After browsing through their Lunch Specials menu - prices ranging from $16 to $18 and includes rice, entree, egg roll and soup - after asking William for his thoughts between the Orange Chicken, Beef Broccoli or Gingered Fish, I opted for the Orange Chicken. The wait was minimal as I browsed the rest of their delicious "regular service" menu. If I had a bigger group with me, I would've gone for family-style dining (multiple entrees, shared). Tons of familiar entrees that are found in traditional sit-down style Chinese restaurants. Hot and sour soup was great - each spoonful was full of flavor - had a good amount of bamboo shoots, mushrooms, pork and tofu. The rich broth was mildly spicy - tolerable for those of you who aren't a fan of spicy. The Orange Chicken followed - and it was amazing! If you love Panda Express's Orange Chicken - the OC at Panda Inn takes it to the next level. Not only is it made-to-order - so your serving is fresh - but you can taste the quality in the sauce, bread coating, and the chicken. You also get a generous portion size - almost 1.5 scoops compared to 1 scoop serving equivalent at PE. Only downsides is the egg roll (which despite picking the pork one - tasted more like a veggie roll - minimal protein and tastes almost like the one you get at Panda Express), and the rice was dry and forgettable. When you get your bill - you also get white chocolate dipped fortune cookies - which taste amazing - but definitely more of a guilty pleasure than something you'd want to snack on as frequently as their regular fortune cookies. Overall, a great first-time visit to Panda Inn. I'd definitely stop by again if I'm in the area.

The three of us visited Panda Inn on a Friday night without a reservation and were seated pretty quickly. Service was great from the start. One of us has a gluten sensitivity, so the manager personally helped with the order and explained that none of the dishes are technically gluten free, but that we should be okay if soy sauce and cooking wine are tolerated. We ordered the Kung Pao Chicken, Cashew Chicken, and Gingered Fish with Scallions. Everything was balanced and flavorful, but the fish was the standout for me. The ambiance and service were both great too, so overall it was a really nice dinner.

It was time for a different kind of cuisine, so Diane and I ventured here again for dinner, beginning with nicely bronzed Pork Potstickers and fine, light, and crispy Vegetable Egg Rolls enhanced by Sweet & Sour Sauce. We received elegant serving of our two ordered appetizers, with ceramic cups for Potstickers Sauce and requested Hoisin Sauce, Sweet & Sour Sauce, and Chinese Chili Oil. The Potstickers were very good, but there were only four of them. Next time I will probably upgrade to two orders. The broth in Three Flavors Sizzling Rice Soup was especially tasty. But the soup arrived at our table with no sizzle, and the rice bobbing on top in clumps. The walnuts in Diane's Honey Walnut Shrimp were quite sweet, and the shrimps in both this dish and Assorted Fried Rice were big. The Fried Rice contained chicken, pork, shrimp, peas, scallions, and Scrambled Eggs. Panda Rice is no longer on the menu or served. One piece of pork contained too much fat. For my main my request to substitute Beef with Snow Peas & Mushrooms for Beef & Broccoli was graciously accommodated by the chef, and I was not even charged extra for mushrooms, for which I expected to pay an added fee. The dish was quite tasty, with lean cuts of beef, and the Snow Peas tasted good except for not being trimmed around the edges. Portions were huge. At lunch the next day I probably ate more than I did at dinner, and still had enough food left over for a large second lunch two days after dining at the restaurant. So, prices here are quite reasonable for what a diner receives. Alas, my sugar-coated Fortune Cookie contained no fortune, which I believe is universally considered to be bad luck. So far, so good though! Service by Ricardo was excellent and responsive to all of our many requests (i.e., for sweetener, for knives and spoons, for extra napkins, for extra Honey Sauce, for Hoisin Sauce, for Chinese Chili Oil, and for more Sweet & Sour Sauce). Unfortunately, paper towels were piled up and on the floor in the men's restroom. So, with everything considered, XXXX-1/2 stars overall for this visit!

This was my first time at this Panda Inn location, but I've been to other Panda Inn locations before. Panda Inn never disappoints and is definitely a step above Panda Express. The menu is huge, which is great, but it also makes it hard to decide because there are so many dishes I want to try. We ordered the Phoenix chicken, assorted meat lo mein, and Mongolian beef. The lo mein and Mongolian beef came out first, but the Phoenix chicken didn't arrive until about 10 minutes later, so we weren't able to enjoy everything together. The Phoenix chicken was my favorite. The lo mein tasted good, but about half the bowl was filled with sauce, which isn't how I've had it at other Panda Inn locations. I didn't want to complain because the service already seemed overwhelmed. The Mongolian beef wasn't for me, I've had better at other Chinese restaurants. The server was friendly and apologized several times, but it seemed overwhelmed since it was a busy night. We had to flag him down a few times, our water wasn't refilled, one of the plates was dirty, and it took a while to get the check. We also asked for chili sauce but never got it. The only thing that really bothered me was seeing the host shake a tablecloth inside the dining room, sending lint and food particles into the air. Everyone around us looked surprised. Overall, the food was still good, but the service and cleanliness need improvement. I'll continue visiting Panda Inn, but I'm not sure if I'll return to this location.

Came in for an early dinner since I had to catch a plane. We made a reservation thank goodness because it was very busy but it did look like they were seating people fairly quickly. They have so many seating areas it really is a big place. They have big round tables with a big turntable for big groups since everything is served family style. They are very fast and efficient. We did get a few appetizers which were all delicious but one was late coming out but the manager did come out and comp us that one since it did come out late which was nice. We got the potstickers, the chicken lettuce wraps and the pork dumplings. For food we got the honey walnut shrimp, the chicken fried rice, the lemon chicken, and the sweet and sour chicken. Everything was very good and came out hot and big portions for everyone to have enough. We were also given white chocolate dipped fortune cookies. There was plenty and all had good flavor. Would definitely like to come back.

Don't confuse Panda Inn with Panda Express--this place is on a whole different level! The food is always amazing, and everything we've tried has been delicious. The dishes are served family-style, which makes it perfect for sharing with everyone at the table. The service is consistently great, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. On our visit, we ordered the Orange Chicken, Phoenix Chicken, Honey Walnut Shrimp , Green Beans, and Fried Rice. Every dish was flavorful and cooked perfectly. There wasn't a single item we didn't enjoy. If you're looking for delicious Chinese food and a great dining experience, I highly recommend Panda Inn. We'll definitely be back!

Ok, so the food is still fairly delicious, but I'm sad to say you'll need to expect LOWER QUALITY during BUSY periods like the dinner rush. I mean that in a customer service sense and when it comes to the food. Our table arrived for dinner around 6:45 or 7pm. We were sat quickly as we had a reservation, however we quickly were forgot about. Only one gentleman was consistently refilling our drinks. Additionally, some friends of mine had to wait an extra thirty minutes for their meal while the rest of us got our plates. As for food, the Honey Walnut Shrimp was too chewy, the flavors were weaker than usual. Thankfully, the stir fry I bought was good, however the kitchen added way too much cabbage to it. I still enjoyed the Chinese ambiance, the restaurant is moderately loud but it's still calm enough for light conversations. Our table was circular and great for a party of six. The Panda Inn had neatly arranged silverware and plates, it's a major step up on the etiquette ladder compared to Panda Express. I enjoyed the frosted fortune cookies at check-out, it's a nice touch. You'll find Panda Inn right off the 10 freeway. It's a bit hidden and near a hotel, use Google Maps to locate it!

Went here for my MIL's birthday. Party of 9. Made reservations for a Sunday. We were seated immediately - at least half of the party needs to be present. The food was amazing! So delish, quality food and great service! The k my think I wish they would have told us is that the family plate is double the price and it was too much for us to eat!!! I wish they would have recommended the dishes for us -- instead they let us order all family portions and it was way too much!!!!! I would have gave 4 stars if it wasn't for that. But I'd definitely be back!

Panda Inn in Ontario California is a five star establishment. This is the building or place that looks so plain from the outside and then BAM - you walk in and have this mesmerizing hour of Wows and OMG!! Met a pal for dinner on Tuesday April 7th. The first thing that struck me was the absolutely lovely inside. Warm and friendly greeter/hostess who walked me to the bar as I was 10 minutes early. Amazing bartender( I am so sorry I forgot her name)- spunky, so energetic and contagious. This is a huge restaurant with dining rooms for miles( seemed like it). We had a very sharp and fun waiter Eric who took great care of us. We ordered the steamed veggie dumplings - tasty and fresh; Kon Pao Shrimp ( regular portion $25 which was enough vs the Family size $43) - best dish of the evening plus the bok choi mushrooms which was ok. Our diet sodas were refilled constantly and we sat in a back dining area that was pretty busy with bigger parties ( next to us were families of 6 and 10 celebrating birthdays). The food overall was awesome. The service was spot on. The interior and the vibe were warm and inviting. Loved that the bar area had ample seating and loads of TV's with lots of hockey and baseball on. Panda Inn does catering and is open daily from 11 to 9:30. Loved that they had regulars and fans coming in at 7:15 pm on a Tuesday. There is a private parking lot plus free street parking in front of the restaurant. This was a fun evening. I will be back in June.

The rice was cooked to perfection and the Soups were heavenly tasty & a welcomed reward for a side dish. You're going to be satisfied, the Lunch portions were just right. I really love this restaurant. The food is really great, service was excellent. Marcel was very attentive. My husband and I had a business meeting and Marcel ensured everything went well. I would say that the table cloth on our both was just a little uneven and I almost created a terrible mess, thank God it didn't come to that. If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! Our waiter Marcel at Panda Inn in Ontario gave us one of the best dining experiences we've ever had. From the moment we sat down, he made us feel like VIP guests. Marcel went above and beyond in every way possible--he was attentive without being overbearing, always one step ahead of what we needed, and genuinely cared that we were having a great time. It honestly felt like we were his only table because of how much care and attention he gave us, even though the restaurant was busy. I recently went to lunch at Panda Inn, and I was highly impressed with this restaurant. The quality of the food is exceptional! I had almost forgotten how good Chinese food can taste. The staff at the Panda Inn serves the food in a very pleasing way. They include all the little things that turn going to a restaurant into a dining experience. First time here at Panda Inn. The place is nice without a doubt. From decor to food to restrooms and I'm a stickler for nice restrooms. (Germaphobe) I got the Phoenix chicken and less than half of it filled me up. Mix with some rice and yoi have owrfection. Our server was Jack and he was great. yesterday we celebrated my brother's 40th birthday .he wanted to come to this place biggest mistake of my life. The worst service I've ever ever encountered. I'm not one to complain about anything but this server was either not fond of Mexican people or just hated life either one it wasn't our fault . Being a server for 20 years of my life a smile is free to give but this server was just giving us the why are you here face.not even smile The greeting was like literally about 2O minutes aftr we sat 20 minutes , just to acknowledge us. I mean it was the worst thing in the world. you know when you feel like someone just doesn't wanna help you and feel you're like a burden to them. That's exactly how all 13 of us felt never again will I come to this place? It was so uncomfortable to be there and the audacity of the server to still add her $45 tip for a zero dollar service. The food was literally was OK at best. The ambience was so sad because of service was so poor I'm sorry, but I don't recommend this place.. McDonald's or Shakey's are way better options if you wanna get better service i read more

First time visit at Panda Inn and the food was excellent. He tried a variety of different entree and all of them were exceptional. I would highly recommend fried rice and the sweet sour pork. We also had Mai tais with our dinner. Overall rating five stars a good place to visit on your birthday. Highly recommend. Good size portions and plenty of leftovers to take home. Panda Inn is always a staple for my family when we are celebrating a graduation, holiday, and birthdays. We always order the hot & sour soup, pan fried noodles, and the shrimp with walnuts! There are a couple other dishes that we always get, but those are definitely my family's favorites. The place seems very classy, and has delicious Chinese food. Good Chinese food next to Ontario airport: they have all the menu items someone would want for Americanized Chinese food. It will appeal to most everyone. I especially liked the garlic eggplant. Was really good. And my friends lunch also looked really good. She got the steamed fish. And also they have lunch specials during the week. You get an egg roll, soup and the main entree with rice. Their fortune cookie with white chocolate is especially delicious. Yum read more

Let me start by saying that I am extremely picky when it comes to food. Probably worse than a two year old. With that being said, I was pleasantly surprised to be able to find items to enjoy here. I am reviewing this restaurant based on my limited food experience and what I was able to gather from my family. Overall, the food was delicious and the staff was so nice to us. Everything is made to order, so plates are coming out hot and made for you. I feel comfortable saying I will be back to enjoy the same items when my family invites me again. read more

Panda Inn is our go to restaurant when we want the best Chinese food. Unfortunately for us, we don't have a nearby location so usually it's a long drive if we want to enjoy their food. One of my favorite special occasion restaurants due to the great set-ups for large parties and family style dishes. Everything is delicious! My favorites are the fried rice, mongolian beef, and hot braised shrimps. Highly recommend making a reservation or you will wait a long while. If you haven't tried The Panda Inn, then you are totally missing out on delicious, over- the-top chinese food! I've been going to the Panda Inn for 20 plus years (the one in San Diego at Horton Plaza) but unfortunately that one closed a long time ago! Fortunately, for me they have locations in Pasadena & Ontario! You have to "treat" yourself to The Panda Inn and order their honey walnut shrimp! It's mouth watering. I treated myself yesterday for lunch and was greeted by Marcel, my server. He obviously has been doing this a long time because he has his job down to a T. His attentiveness to my table was quite impressive! He kept refilling my Arnold Palmer without me having to ask. He made sure my order was correct and served in a timely manner. Those white chocolate dipped fortune cookies they give at the end of your meal are to die for! He even gave me an extra cookie just for the asking. There are overhead fans spaced around in case it is hot outside. We had one round of drinks and several appetizers. The coconut shrimp and lightly battered Shishito peppers were great and the sauces paired well. We have had these appetizers at Stowaway before and they had the same good quality. She ordered the spicy tofu bites. I'm not usually a fan of tofu, but they were surprisingly really good. I had the Adrian's Mistake cocktail which was well balanced and a little on the strong side. She had the Right Of Passage which was good and had a light fruit flavor and you could definitely taste the mango. The one man show Brandon took great care of us. It was slow at this time of day so we got a chance to chat with him quite a bit and service was fast. They have a weekday happy hour from 4pm to 6pm. Although we didn't specifically order off the happy hour menu, three of our items, including both cocktails were part on it. I give it 4.3 stars but rounded up to five stars. I'm sure the ambience is much better in the evening when it more lively and dark outside. They have a good variety of munchies, and the cocktail menu has a good mix of tiki classics and some originals. I don't think there any many tiki bars in this area, so I hope they do well.

Panda Inn Ontario did not disappoint at all. Quite the contrary. Parking was abundant, the overall appearance of this establishment was clean and had a modern Chinese feel to it. Upon entering Panda Inn Ontario, we were greeted with a smile, by the hostess at the entryway. We provided our reservation number and were seated immediately. We were once again greeted by Ricardo. Excellent server indeed, with his outstanding , welcoming attitude. Ricardo was polite and attentive all throughout our dining experience. He returned multiple times to check if our drinks needed to be refreshed, and asked us multiple times if he could provide us with anything. Absolutely hands down amazing service. Thank you Ricardo! Our food was superb in every way. From generous portions to over the top flavors! I was impressed to say the least. Definitely worth the hour and a half drive down the hill. I believe we found our "go to" Chinese restaurant! I have always preferred the Chinese cuisine over and above most, and had the opportunity of a lifetime to live in Hong Kong for a number of years in the distant past. Loved the HK food experience! Taste, quality, along with cooking style combined with fresh / clean tasting ingredients were the primary reasons. But the true chop-stick hero is David, the server who's got service down to a fine art - he's faster than a panda on a bamboo rocket, predicting your needs like he's got a fortune cookie crystal ball, and somehow turning refills into a magic act where your glass never hits empty without you noticing. One time, when our table debated spicy levels, David swooped in with a tiny fan he pulled from his pocket, fanning the air dramatically as if cooling down an imaginary fire-breathing dragon before recommending the perfect heat. I had the pleasure of dining at Panda Inn recently when my son was in town and his grandparents invited him. I couldn't resist joining them! It had been years since my last visit, and Panda Inn has always been a go-to spot for special occasions. We indulged in a variety of dishes: - Pork Potstickers - Beef Lo Mein - Chicken Fried Rice - Kung Pao Chicken - Broccoli and Beef - Honey Walnut Shrimp - Pan Fried Noodles Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by multiple employees. The atmosphere and decor set a lovely tone for the evening, and the restaurant was buzzing with activity. The service was excellent throughout our meal. The highlight for me was definitely the Pork Potstickers, they were absolutely delicious! My son raved about the Chili sauce. I am a wimp and did not try it but he did request more sauce multiple times. My least favorite was the Kung Pao Chicken, as the chicken was a bit dry this time. However, it didn't ruin the experience at all. Overall, I highly recommend Panda Inn for anyone looking to enjoy a satisfying meal with family or friends. It's truly a great treat! read more

First time at Panda Inn and the food was amazing, we ordered the Beef which was super crispy and flavorful, the Sweet and Sour Pork, and Shrimp Chowfun. The food was great but what made this an overall stellar experience was our server Osbean (Hope I got that right) he was very attentive right off the bat and greeted us warmly and with a smile as soon as we sat down and it really felt like we were being served by a close friend or family. He gave some really good entree recommendations, brought out the food promptly, and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. It's hard to find someone nowadays that really takes pride in what they do, and you could tell Osbean loves what he does because he really went above and beyond to make this a good experience. We will be returning to this Panda Inn Location and recommending it to friends and family with hopes that they get Osbean as a server so that they get the best experience possible. Feb 1st, 2023 new day of the month as I decided to take a drive out to my favorite restaurant that has been a part of my life for over 30 years, beginning at the Pasadena original location younger years. Sitting at my 'table' so many whom known me for many years continue to treat me with excellent customer service, chose the the Ginger Fish with Scallops spicy of dish, and my fav cocktail Mai Tai that only Panda Inn makes; whereas, I've boasted to many of friends from different areas of CA and out of town. My server was Elaine, and with such poise, attentive and superb service she served my delicious lunch and both Mai Tai's. Enjoy my visits always and very happy that Panda Inn continues after many years' decades in business offers the upmost best dishes, accompanied with fabulous servers like Elaine to add onto the experience of fine dinning. The Walnut Shrimp plate was absolutely incredible crispy, creamy, and perfectly balanced with just the right touch of sweetness. It was definitely the highlight of the meal! What really made our visit memorable, though, was our amazing waitress, Ari. She was so sweet, attentive, and genuinely kind. So we had an amazing time here tonight and my family wanted me to write this to clear any uncertainties. We are very picky eaters and were a little worried about this restaurant and after seeing mixed reviews on yelp we can truthfully say it is one of our favorite restaurants to dine at. Starting from the moment you open the doors the aesthetic is unique and classy, the employees are friendly but once we sat down the service seemed even better. Our server was very patient and attentive and so were the bussers. We could tell there was a new guy in training but that didn't affect the service one bit. It wasn't too busy but the back of the restaurant is huge and some other girl brought out our food and once we mentioned it was our first time she seemed excited and helped get us sauces even though she wasn't a server. We enjoyed how helpful everyone was and how great the food taste and we'll definitely be coming back especially for the amazing fortune cookies. read more

We were a large party of 12, which can often be challenging to accommodate, but they handled everything with professionalism, efficiency, and genuine hospitality. From the moment we arrived, they were attentive, friendly, and organized. Every request was handled promptly, our food arrived smoothly, and they made sure everyone at the table felt taken care of throughout the entire meal. I've been here numerous of times and they've never seem to disappoint me. If you're thinking about trying this restaurant and you're reading this, GO TO PANDA INN. This place is nothing compared to Panda Express. The quality of food is 200% way better, and let's not talk about the taste.. Mm.. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. They offer good lunch specials during the week. Whether I get a lunch special or not I always choose Kung Pao Chicken. The Magnolian beef is also very delicious and if you like sea food the honey walnut shrimp is a must. I come here with my boyfriend so we order different plates ala cart and just share them. Panda inn also offers complementary hot tea, just let the server know. Customer service is wonderful. I come here a lot and have been for a few years now and I've never had any problems. My orders are always correct, the servers are always attentive. If I could give this place more stars I would! read more

I AM BEYOND LIVID . I SPECIFICALLY ASKED THE GENTLEMAN FOR TWO NON ALCOHOLIC VIRGIN MOSCOW MULE , I AM ABOUT TO BE 2 years SOBER AND THIS MAN BRINGS US OUR DRINKS & I swear I TASTED IT AND KNEW SOMETHING WAS OFF . I asked him if there was any alcohol bc of how strong the ginger tasted and he said "no of course not" ! Again I double checked but didn't drink too much of it until after I started feeling weird almost heavy, by the time me and my mom figured out and were sure there was alcohol in our drinks we stood up to ask the bartender and he straight up said "YES I PUT WHISKY" I was like wtf ??? I was honestly so emotional I just had to leave bc I didn't wanna make a scene in front of my mom but I will be coming back tomorrow to talk to the manager because this is a life or death situation . Panda Inn is absolutely gorgeous! The works of art and decor create such a beautiful and elegant atmosphere--it's the perfect place for a special celebration. We came here for my nana's birthday dinner, and the staff was amazing, making sure she felt celebrated and cared for. Unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed by some service hiccups. Our food kept getting mixed up with a neighboring party, and it ended up taking 45 minutes to an hour for some dishes to arrive. To top it off, a few of the dishes were cold by the time they reached us, which was disappointing. While the ambiance and effort from the staff were wonderful, the issues with timing and food temperature were hard to overlook. I hope they can work on improving the service because the potential for a fantastic dining experience is definitely there. read more
