Great customer service, owner is always there when I come in and have lunch or dinner. Super friendly and helpful to everyone dining in. Food is always great and fresh, this time the rice was fryer than normal. I highly recommend their calamari as an appetizer, they usually have lunch specials and after 3pm dinner specials. I called in around 8:15 PM on April 4th, to place an order and was told that our order would be ready to pick up within 25-30 minutes. My son walked over to pick up the order since it was in the same shopping plaza as our hotel. Talk about conveniently located! I ordered the 14-piece mixed sashimi platter, which wasn't too bad (but I could tell it wasn't too fresh), considering it wasn't an actual sushi restaurant. I also got an order of ikura for my daughter, which wasn't completely fresh either, but it didn't have any bad taste or smell. My son got the fried chicken wings which comes with a side of rice. It was actually pretty good. The chicken lo mein was not bad at all, but not the best. Unfortunately, my niece only ate a few bites and we didn't have a fridge so it ended up going to waste. The 3 stars is the sushi and fried rice. The customer service is shit*. They literally take 20 minutes just to get your drink order then another 15 to get your food order in. They never once come back to see if all is well after they bring out the food and half the time the sushi roll isn't wrapped tight enough or they take 20 minutes to bring out the side dish you asked for in the beginning after they already brought out your food so you're stuck eating cold food. Now every time I get anything chicken it's very undercooked and stringy. It's so disgusting! And the beef too is always undercooked. I've learned to just order fried rice with a side of teriyaki sauce and sushi. That way I'm never disappointed since I've accepted their terrible customer service by now. Yelp brought me here. I arrived to find this lovely strip mall sushi bar and restaurant mildy busy for the lunch hour. This is a very casul restaurant -- with lots of trinkets on display and with worn in furniture. And one television set was set to international news; one set was tuned to sports. Both were set to low volume. It seemed that the folks seated were hardcore locals. I got the sense that most of them came here on the regular, and bumped elbows with the staff often. Also, I figured that the wall of photos and cards was a good sign that this is a beloved establishment. I wanted a chirashi bowl, but was interested in a number of other items on the list. Considering that chirashi bowls tend to run large, I opted to go for the bowl, but asked that the menu be left behind. I had my food and water in less than 10 minutes. I was astounded by the swift service! I must say -- the freshness is on point! The chirash came with four different cuts of fish, all fairly thinly sliced: salmon, white fish (I believe) and two types of tuna, one of which was seared. While I was very disappointed with the serving size (too much Furikake and way too much rice, and not nearly as strong enough offering of fish), it was delicious! I opted, then, to order a California hand roll and ikura. Both were so fresh and flavorful! The California hand roll was very light on cream cheese, and the ikura (salmon roe) was bright, with a nice balance of brine and sweetness. And the three ladies holding down the lunch crowd did an excellent job! All told, the ticket price was $29. The chirashi alone was $17. So, yes, the chirashi bowl was very expensive -- simply not worth the price. But, overall, I am more than pleased with the experience. Also, the restaurant offers a whole range of Chinese and Vietnamese dishes. The rolls seem most popular from what I could tell during the lunch hour. read more

If you are undecided you can always stop by. Are you are salivating for Chinese? This is the place to be. If you change your mind and decided you want some California rolls or sashimi, have not fear you don't have to go far. Popcorn green beans, rainbow roll, caterpillar roll, salmon hand roll, crispy beef, etc., etc., and etc. Yes I have tried all of the above. I do like the popcorn green beans, it's very tasty so I have to order this and it doesn't matter if I am in the mood for either Chinese or Japanese. For the taste and value this place deserves a five star. The service is a hit or miss, understandably since you get a good deal on your lunch the place can be crowded. This translates to slower service, but don't get that confused with slow cooks. Once your order is placed it's a matter of minutes before you get your food. I was there 2 days ago when the Health Dept. shut them down. They were still trying to take orders and the inspector had to tell the customer that the restaurant could not accept orders. Apparently they weren't keeping their food cold enough, bacteria can form. And after he saw the kitchen, CLOSED. I got sick the next day from the food, they were closed by the Health Dept. and still gave me my order with stale Boba (drink $5.95, price not on menu). I will never visit this place again. I Have been to this restaurant numerous times but we just had the worst experience ever! We ordered our food over the phone and picked it up. I served my husband the last bit of rice and he spits it out, he found a chewed up piece of gun in it. We were so disgusted. I called to let them know and and they could only say that they had a policy against chewing gum in the kitchen. I asked the women I spoke to on the phone if I could get a refund and she said I would need to bring all of the food back. We were finishing up our meal when we discovered the chewed up gum in the rice. By the end I told her to keep her damn money but that she should really speak to her staff about chewing gum. Lunch entree, some lo mein, a potsticker, and one of those won-tons I wrote about for about $7. It's a decent-sized meal for not a lot. I've also branched out into their different entrees and I'm really glad I did, their cashew chicken is on point. Their kung pow chicken will burn the skin off of the top of your tongue (if you're into that sort of thing).
