They also have different prices for lunch and dinner even though it's not all you can eat and the portion size is the same. Their AYCE lunch costs $9.95 which is an amazing deal considering Mongolian BBQ places in the mall will charge similar pricing but for only one bowl's worth of food. I'll admit that the quality of the food isn't the best you'll have, but for the cheap cost of the food it's hardly worth complaining about. They also have a check-in offer during Monday through Friday 3-5PM where you'll get 15% off your buffet so it's even cheaper! The buffet includes: fried rice (if you would rather have that compared to the noodles), a selection of noodles, meats, veggies, and spices! I honestly tapped out after the first round but my boyfriend was happy to come back for more! If you still have room for dessert, on the opposite end of the restaurant is where you'll find it. I unfortunately did not have much, but they do have a selection of hot and cold desserts for you to choose from as well as some other appetizers. This was a great spot for our group. We had about 5 of us In our group and we used a Groupon to save $20 off our meal. The meal was already priced fair and we all got three plates of food each. The dessert menu wasn't as great as the main dish and I didn't know there was salad and egg rolls since it was in the dessert secton. Our server was pleasant and kind and although she could have been a little more attentive to us, she was very friendly and I enjoyed her personality and smile. This place won me by being an all you can eat Mongolian bbq. For a couple bucks more than the ones from the malls. I can eat meat all day. I went 4 rounds and each time I got one bowl of veggies and one bowl meats. They also have variety of noodles, meats, veggies, and alot of different type of sauces.. Now with covid they give you a menu to choose your topping and meats and I doubt it's all you can eat but they served us a lot of food. Food tastes good too. 2-3 stars because of their option for "triple meat". We selected both double and triple meat for our two dishes. Both dishes were pretty low in actual meat pieces. If you took my triple meat, which I paid extra for, and divided it into 3 portions, I cant imagine youd get more than 1 actual beef pieces with a small handful of beef scrapes. I have a feeling their double and triple meat options just cue the person filling your bowl to throw some extra pieces in and not truly double or triple. In fact, I watched the older lady sit scraping the raw chicken bit trying to get the tiniest little shreds of raw chicken out of the empty bin in order to fill one of our bowls. At the base price, my meal was 12.99 and good value in today's world. But it irks me that I desperately wanted a bowl of meat, ordered the triple meat (+$5) and literally dont think I got much extra, let alone triple. The picture on the menu shows very generous triple portions of large meat chunks. I had maybe 4-5 actual pieces of meat in triple meat bowl with some uncountable small shavings. It's a shame. I'd love to swing by this place, but I cant get over the tiny shredded bits of meat and the lack of any discernable difference between single, double, and triple meat upcharge. It is like a teppanyaki-style place, or Mongolian BBQ where you get one or more plates of noodles, meats, veggies, and sauces and the chef will cook for you. You have an option of either one plate or all you can eat. And if you do AYCE, you can also get the other part which has soups, rice, and other appetizer type dishes. This was my first time dining in since the pandemic started in early 2020. No more buffet style? That's cool, businesses have evolved and adapted. I filled out my order using the provided pen and paper. My order sheet included the following: chicken, lamb ($2.50), extra meat ($2.00), and bok choy (extra). My wife and I both didn't order rice or noodles. When the food arrives, my wife has a nice portion in a circular container (she didn't order extra meat or vegetables). My portion was significantly smaller in comparison to hers, and came out in a smaller rectangle container. I ask one of the employees why my food was delivered in a different container than my wife's circular container, especially when I paid extra for more a larger portion. The employee couldn't give an answer. The conversation ended with the employee asking me if I wanted more, and me declining. Later, my wife asks to speak with the owner. The owner ends up making extra bok choy and chicken for me. Why the one star? The owner took zero responsibility for the situation, saying the employees "didn't know." As an owner (or manager), your job is to take the responsibility of a situation. Don't tell me it's your employees fault -- it's not. The employees at this restaurant weren't trained properly, to the point where it's acceptable to bring out two differently sized containers to the same table, where the smaller container is supposed to represent a larger portion, yet when questioned, cannot provide any sort of rationale. If the owner had taken better ownership of the situation, I wouldn't be leaving a negative review. Some advice to management -- I'm down to pay whatever at your restaurant, but get your business model straight, your employees trained and aligned on it, and execute. Panda Mongolian BBQ is a great option for AYCE Mongolian in the area. There are lots options for your veggies and meats (even shrimp!) and interesting sauces I've never seen at other Mongolian BBQ joints (like a curry sauce). All the veggies seemed fresh, and the staff do a great job keeping the area clean, which I've always had issues with at other Mongolian BBQ places. They also offer 2 soups, some appetizers and ice cream with the AYCE meal which is great if you like more variety to your meal. The wait staff are friendly and happy to refill your drinks (although you can also do it yourself at the soda fountain). There are lots of tables inside and again, everything was kept super clean, especially for a Mongolian BBQ restaurant which can get really sticky. I am deathly allergic to shellfish, so my only real complaint was the confused cooks when I asked them to clean & clear the grill due to my allergies. They did it eventually, but they were really confused by my request and I had to wait maybe 15 minutes until they cleared the entire line after me. I'm not docking them any stars for this since I understand, but it was a bit annoying. Parking was easy as it's located in a little strip mall. The staff will bring you to your table and ask you about your drinks, then you can get right up and self-service yourself for the Mongolian BBQ. As we entered, you could see the assembly line of goodies and toppings to choose from for your custom made Mongolian BBQ desires!!! The best part was dinner was only $12.95 and all you can eat!!!! The place was very organized and very clean, we quickly grabbed our plates and started pilling high our veggies and meats. I tried both the pork and the beef and my BF got their lamb, all meats were very good and high quality. I really enjoyed their spicy and hot sauces in combination with ginger, garlic, and green, it made the dish very flavorful. What I also really loved was that they had an unlimited supply of hot pockets to stuff our BBQ and egg rolls. The starters are mediocre but the entree selection to build your own Mongolian BBQ dish is great. I have to say the pork or chicken wonton starters are a must for the meal. Then for the Mongolian entree dish part you have a choice of 5 types of meat, chicken, lamb, pork, beef, and turkey. There are a ton of fresh vegetables and selection of sauces. Veggies range from your typical cabbage and onions to pineapples bean sprouts and even tofu. The sauce is not premade and placed in multiple containers where you have to follow a chart to create a sauce to your liking. The sauce chart is really helpful for beginners and a great way to get acquainted with the strength of the flavors. The basic sauces include a mild flavor, spicy, teriyaki, and hoisin. You can add liquid ginger, garlic, or green onion for more complexity and finish the sauces with powdered garlic, chili, black pepper, or curry. Once you select your meats, vegetables, and sauces, your items will be stir fried on an oversized griddle. The quality and execution of all the fresh food is great and this place really adds a bit more variety to the Asian cuisine scene in my neighborhood area! Although better than your average fast food restaurant, Panda Mongolian BBQ is nothing special. After a long day out, my friends and I found great reviews on yelp and decided to try it out. When we entered, the worker asked us whether we wanted to either: take out or eat in buffet style (for dinner; $14 vs $10). If you decided to eat buffet, you take a bowl and fill up with all the noodles, meat, and vegetables to your heart's content. What's different with take out is that the worker will set aside a whole bowl for you of your choice of noodle at the BBQ. Then you take a bowl and fill it up with meat and vegetables. The last stop before the BBQ is the sauce station where there is a board of suggested combinations and there is a whole bunch! The problem with the meat is that it comes frozen so the pieces take up a lot of space as is. If you want more bang for your buck try to pack the meat in. Some of the better vegetables are near the end so plan accordingly. What I found not great about the place was when I was getting the BBQ, the cook decided to add more sauce to my noodles. By the end, it was drenched with more sauce than I had wanted. I am sure it was because he was worried with the taste, but he did not even consult me before doing it. Although I am glad that they gave a lot of noodles to make sure that we were content, I thought it was a little too much that it dwarfed any of the meat and fixings. The parking is available in the lot. The service was overall great minus the complaint I had with regard to adding the sauce to the noodles.
