I should've known better than to come to Panera bread at lunchtime. There are so many other restaurant choices nearby, yet I chose...here. And poorly. The first thing that I did not like about this restaurant is, they do not have any of the self-serve kiosks I am accustomed to using and not having to interact with human beings that are going to potentially screw up my order. Ok, I ordered two pick two combos for a grand total of $24.55. The wife's 1/2 ciabatta cheesesteak was tasty but lacking meat. Very light weight. She ordered chicken noodle, received Cream of Chicken and rice. My French onion soup came with a little extra that we didn't order: a hair. I asked the gentleman working the counter to replace it to which he replied OK and then went back to work. A couple minutes passed by and no one has brought me a replacement soup so I walked to the kitchen to ask the gentleman there if the soup on the counter was mine to take as the replacement, to which he replied, yes. I'm in disbelief that the manager or clerk or whatever he is did not bring me the soup after I returned it with the hair on it and was very nice in doing so. I could've been an a-hole and drawn attention to myself while other customers were ordering, but I was discreet and polite. I think the correct customer service here would've been to deliver the soup to the table apologize profusely, and perhaps offer a gift card, not that I'm looking for free food, but an apology was definitely in order. Been coming here for years, at this point mainly because the Sips Club is a good deal. But I have stopped going for food except occasionally. Sandwiches keep getting smaller, but prices keep going up. While that may be a corporate thing, at this particular Panera they get my order wrong more than 50% of the time. It's hard to believe, really. This was a frequent occurrence, so I only get food here now in rare instances. Today was one of those times. They got the order wrong. When I use the app to order something to pick up - even if it's just a drink cup - it's usually not ready or its missing. I've been told often my order "is not in the system" but then it miraculously appears. It just seems like the place is run poorly. There was a time when the food was good enough to put up with this but given the prices and shrinking portion sizes there are a million places I'd rather go. read more

Very poorly run panera. It's close so we have come here often. But I think I have given them enough chances, that I won't be coming back! 3 times within the last week I've gotten there between 9 AM and 10 AM, to be told that they're out of bagels. Each time they told me it was some kind of professional day that they didn't realize. Seems to be happening too much to be caught off guard, just poorly run. Two of the times, they've sold my coffee and there's no coffee in any of the dispensers. So I had to ask, and wait. Come here if you want, but just realize it's not very good!! The only reason I go to Panera is to use gift cards that I receive for gifts. I've never really been a fan of their food, but they have decent breakfast. Ordered SEC on Asiago bagel and split a cinnamon crunch bagel. SEC was pretty good and I'd order it again. As for the other bagel, well there was cinnamon, but no crunch; honestly couldn't tell this wasn't a cinnamon raisin bagel even though it had no raisins. At least it comes with a good amount of cream cheese. I do like their hot chocolate which seemed to be made with milk; a lot creamier and not overly sweet. This location has an odor - it smells like a soiled dish mop was used. My order was wrong - I ordered a half sandwich but was given a full sandwich. My granddaughter's grilled cheese was prepared on 2 different size bread. One was clearly 3/4 of a slice but the prep person didn't notice. The kid grilled cheese was not cut in half. My overall experience is such a shock to me I had to write a review. This should be one of the best locations for Panera and I would say over the last 10 + years I have been eating at Panera Bread, it was the worse. Good luck. I probably won't come in here again. I just had my worst PB dining experience ever. All because I ventured off of my usual 1/2 deli type sandwich and soup/salad with bread. I ordered and ate the worlds worst steak and cheese 1/2 sandwich. Tasteless, tough and had some mystery ham(?) on it. Terrible. A very Small Mac & Cheese side. That was ok but for the price can you at least fill the container? The 1oz bag of kettle chips are always good. When I ordered, I did say I was having my order for HERE, but when my name was called it was all packed as a to go order. I do laugh at all of this though. I paid for a terrible sandwich. This is a busy Panera in a busy shopping center, but they seem to move pretty quickly despite the volume. There are tables outside, but they don't seem to be cleaned often as ours was dusty. The food was pretty average, which is disappointing as I normally love Panera. The main reason why I am deducting stars is that staff members were improperly wearing their masks, including management. Their noses and in some cases their mouths or full faces were uncovered. The sign on their front door asked patrons to mask up, but I expect that staff do the same, especially when dealing with food and with a lot of customers. I won't be stopping here again. read more

The tomato basil bread loaf is a must take home. For a little over $4 what a steal! It's so good, you can just toast it and eat it by itself! Don't go here. This Panera is turning into the Quizno's that was in the same shopping center. Suddenly, portion size has gone way down, and prices have gone up. This is probably what you'd expect of most Panera locations. It's ridiculously packed during lunch and will take you forever to order, let alone get your food. And there never seems to be tables available. It's nice during the spring and summer when you can sit outside to eat, but don't even think about sitting inside during lunch because it's not gonna happen. In terms of food, it's nothing special. The same as any other location. I don't know if its just me, but I feel like the portions have gotten a lot smaller recently. And if you get your order for take-out, it seems even smaller than if you ate it there. I don't know... I ordered fuji apple chicken salad, and once again it was missing ingredients. This time there was no chicken...NO CHICKEN! Sadly, this has now become an intolerable occurrence. Other times the salad was missing pecans or tomatoes, apple chips, and hardly any cheese and hardly any lettuce! I mean I like the salad but I'm not getting what I paid for. I've brought this issue of missing ingredients to the managers. I guess I'll have to start checking my orders, but I shouldn't have to! This really angers me. Usually have a better experience at Panera. This one sadly wasn't great. While the staff at the front were great, the staff near the back were loudly complaining about how they were almost done work and didn't want to be around anymore. My Mediterranean veggie sandwich was so bad I couldn't eat more than two bites and my fiancé's panini was so sad and soggy it wasn't worth eating. Neither of us were able to finish our food at all. I mobile ordered through their app and got a pick two with the broccoli cheddar Mac n cheese and the teriyaki chicken and broccoli bowl. I selected no cilantro added and included a note that said "Allergic to cilantro." An employee soon called me saying that the quinoa in the bowl is pre-made with cilantro and asked if there was anything else I would like to substitute it for. He was a wonderful help and even upgraded both of my pick two items to a large and gave me an extra baguette side for the inconvenience. I replaced the bowl with the strawberry poppyseed salad and it was the best made one I've ever had at a Panera with plenty of fresh lettuce and fresh fruit. This is the best Panera in northern Baltimore County. It looks like a few other reviewers commented on smaller portion sizes, but I've never had that problem at any Panera location. In fact, I'd say their portions can err on the larger side. There is a pretty high bread-to-meat ratio in their sandwiches, but I don't see that as an issue because the bread is delicious. :) Pros: * Staff at this Panera are generally courteous and appear to have decent hygiene * The clientele is decent * Outdoor seating available * Located very conveniently next to other shops, restaurants, and a movie theater * Pretty good value (my husband and I got two very filling sandwiches with chips for $15.00 total - that's comparable to fast food prices, but better in quality) * The nutrition information is right on the menu when you step up to the counter, so that makes it very easy to stay within your calorie-range if you are trying to watch what you eat. * Free Wi-fi! My father and I have been there a few times. The sandwich was NOT worth the money. Very little meat. The soups are decent, What I highly recommend are the salads, the Fuji apple/chicken and the BBQ chicken were great. The Spanish stew is quite spicy and tasty but the portion could be bigger for ten bucks. I went there for breakfast and ordered their new steak and egg sandwich. Service was okay. I thought the food and overall ambiance was just about average for a bakery cafe and the Panera chain. Brought my soup back in because I found I yellow and white rectangular sticker in my soup( will attach pictures) Showed the cashier and she thought it was "a noodle" or "an egg yolk" you'll see from the picture it's neither considering I order chicken and wild rice soup. She told the manager, he didn't apologize, and proceeded to give me my money back. I would have been fine but then he decided to comment "you would've been fine had you eaten it. We put those stickers on everything." Not only is that an inappropriate comment and response, its unacceptable and unsanitary. I have no clue where that sticker has been, and how it fell in my soup. I used to love this location. However, a few weeks ago, I went to use the bathroom before I left, and I could DISTINCTLY hear the sound of a lighter clicking in the stall next to me. I was appalled that someone would be so bold as to smoke a cigarette in the bathroom! Though I didn't see smoke... I heard a sizzle and repeated clicks of the lighter. As the sister of an addict, I immediately knew someone was smoking crack cocaine. I waited until the smoker opened the door to make my exit, and to my shock, it was an EMPLOYEE! It was already an awkward moment, but I felt like SOMEONE in upper management should know about this, so I looked at her name tag, which read some variation of the name "Megan". I had a long talk with the district manager via phone, and she was so angry that I thought for sure the girl would be fired.... However, the next week, my friend who was dining with me called me, shocked that the same girl was still working there. I refuse to dine at a place that condones its employees smoking crack in the restroom. If the girl is that desperate for a hit during the workday, she should be in a different profession. read more

We were there on a Friday December 14th 2018 evening and it was really bad. There were a group of unsupervised teenagers that seem to overtake the booth by the bathroom exit. They were obnoxious and using profanity and saying sexual remarks that I wouldn't even hear in a bar. They were dragging the children booster seats around and sitting in them. They were trashing their booth and left food all over the table an on the floors. I checked to see if any of the staff could see what was going on. I saw one of the food preparation people look to see them dragging the seats around. There obviously was nobody here that cared about Panera Breads business or reputation. I looked for a supervisor when we were leaving and I looked for a sign that would tell you the name of the supervisor on duty. There was none. We will never stop there again. They were even bothering other kids their same age in other parts of the restaurant. Pathetic! A family leaving, commented to us that we could take there booth to get away from them. I was being very patient. That's when I decided to take out my phone and start videoing. One girl with a conscience saw me and got everyone to leave. They have an unsupervised entrance near the bathrooms which kept being open by the others currently inside . If there is not a supervisor that's older than 16 there then don't stay. read more

This is a great Panera eatery and is located in the easily accessed Hunt Valley town center style mall. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food is excellent and all for a very reasonable pricing structure. They keep it clean even to the point of wiping down the outside seating after a rain storm. My visits are enjoyable and judging from the chatter of fellow diners so are those of many others.***Five Stars** read more

I go to Panera regularly and this Hunt Valley one is the best in the Timonium/Owings Mills/Hunt Valley area. The bathrooms are cleaner, the staff friendlier and service faster than the other locations, even though it is a always busy. Several of their employees have been there for years so they are really on top of things and it is a sign to me that the management must be doing something right to keep them. read more
