I really like the food, but the service is laughable. I always have to check my take out order for completeness and accuracy. About 20% have some problem that I have to settle (missing bread, missing entree, wrong entree). Wait times have increased, too. I was there 45 minutes on 1/5/22. The counter person was so slow. I had to wait in line 13 minutes just to place my order, then, after waiting for it for 30 minutes, I got a refund and left. I will go back after they get their problems ironed out, but it's been poor for a long time and I don't expect any improvement. Very frustrating. read more

It was 8:30 on Friday morning, and my husband and Ij decided to treat ourselves to breakfast at Panera. Went to the front door and ... locked. Signs on the door say open 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Unfortunately this is the lowest you can put for this place, the food was ok quality wise but the service was poor, and if You eat outside all the tables are dirty from the whole day been in the open environment and also people eating and leaving their crumbs there, I ask if I can get a towel to clean and eat sitting outside, the manager said to get the wipe to one of the staff members, those are the tiny wipes you use to clean your hands, is not the way with all the covid going around, come on have a daily schedule to clean those tables, this place can be better !!. Let me start by saying I have never been to panera. We placed our order and the cashier was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Our order did come out wrong stuff happens they remade our whole order. So disappointed with this location. I love Panera and was excited to see a new location close to me. But every single time I go there to get a bread bowl they are out of the soup I order. How does that happen? I have gone inside and ordered....sat down and waited for my food then to be told they are out of what I ordered. The last time I was actually able to order a bread bowl they gave me soup without the bread bowl. When I asked the cashier for the bread bowl she told me I had to pay extra!! Been here about 4 times and something always goes wrong. This time ordered with the rapid pick up. Got there 10 mins after time it said it would be done and nothing was there. Asked one of the ladies. I believe she was a manager. She said she tried calling me to tell me that they were out of the broccoli cheddar soup. She said my phone makes a weird noise when she called. Checked my phone and had no missed calls. Now I had to wait another 5 mins. Which I was fine with I'll rather have the fresh soup. Waited and got my food walked to my truck. I had to check and make sure everything I paid for was there and of course I was missing something. Went back in and had to wait again for them to go over the receipt and give me all the stuff I ordered. The guy gave me a pastry for the inconvenience but the worst was when I got home. I gave the food to my wife and kids and when I got my broccoli cheddar soup that I was waiting for they gave me some of the fresh and one of the old broccoli cheddar soup. Tasted nasty! I thought I'd come back after a while and see whether anything has improved. I was hoping so. But, they still have a poor service system. You pay for your food, sit down, and then after 10 minutes you have to get up and gather your things and go to the counter to pick up your food plates and drinks. Hopefully nobody has taken your seat, and you have enough hands to get all the plates and drinks. I don't like to leave my bag and things at my table so it's not very customer-friendly to have people pick up their food. Then, I saw they had a sign that they deliver to your home or office. But not to your table. How sad. Their portions are small as the others here have indicated, especially for the price. Both times I've been here there was a pyramid scheme sales person trying to convince a mark at the next table that they should invest in them, so beware of that. read more

Upon ordering in the kiosk and checking out, the kiosk wasn't working. Very friendly manager helped redo my order at the register. They got my order wrong for one of my soups. I go to the pickup counter and a really nice older worker has them work on my correct soup, he tells me he will take it to my table. I never received it, went to go see what happened and one of the workers on the other side of the counter states it's been on their counter. He didn't even bother to apologize for what happened. As I was leaving, I approached the gentleman that was suppose to bring me my soup and I told him I never received my soup. He looks at me like he didn't remember what I was talking about. He asked if he can bring to me and I told him no Thanks, I got it myself. He apologized and made it seem like it was no big deal. I get it, they just opened but, come on,3 incidents on my first visit! Not too happy for my first experience there. Staff was friendly, I will give credit for that! Okay, I've tried to give "this" Panera a few chances to change my mind. This is definitely the last time I go there. This place sucks hands down. How do you mess up a salad I mean come on guys. A salad has to have dressing on it. Got a chicken melt and the bread broke in half because they didn't know how to cut it. Only thing good about this place is the blood orange lemonade and they can barely get that right. They gave me my lemonade with four ice cubes that melted before I made it home. I hate to give Panera 1 star as it typically is one of my favorite places to grab a quick meal. However, The Lake Elsinore location is giving Panera a bad name. Tonight I ordered the spinach bacon poppyseed salad, Mac and cheese, and a soup and sandwich for my husband. I get home and instead of telling me they are out of the normal thick chopped bacon that is on that salad they substituted half burnt slices of what looked like microwave bacon, the small dressing container was not even half full, and the overall taste and quality was nothing like what I normally get. The Mac and cheese was also barely half full in the container. Then to top it all off they forgot my husband's sandwich. This is not the first time they have forgot something in my order. I really hope upper management comes in and improves the quality and customer service at this location. Until things improve I will probably keep driving to Menifee or Murrieta to Panera. read more

Place is small compared to other locations, when they get busy, orders got mixed up.Coffee was sitting there for more than 2 hours.only positive thing is the store is new, careful and look at their utensils, it's rusty.i could have taken a picture .but it's our first and last visit at this location. Actually used the drive-through on two occasions. The service was good - fast and the food was as well. The first time we Had 2 toasted Chicken sandwiches - and the second time I got the toasted Steak, arugula and white cheddar my wife had the chicken again. I love Panera bread but this location in particular brings the Panera experience to the next level. After receiving my food I am glad to say it was amazing! My sandwich thrown together like it just got dropped kicked made for an abstract piece of art work. Do not get me wrong I was actually pleasantly delighted to see this. Furthermore, reassembling the sand which made me feel as if I was the chief. Moving on I love Mac n cheese and after having it at different locations many times I can say I like it. After licking my lips, kissing the Mac, and spanking the cheese did I finally take a bite. That's when I knew I messed up. The Mac n Cheese might as well been served with ice cubes cause it was stone cold. At this point I looked around for some cameras cause I was sure I was getting pranked. Unfortunately, I was not... so I asked the lady to reheat my food and... she did not... had to go microwave it myself. But yeah good times! Note: I didn't actually take long to eat the Mac n cheese it's a story but it was actually cold. Worse Panera Bread place I've ever been to and they pimp for tips at the register. You order your food at a counter, pick up you order from the window, then bus your own table and they want a tip. My sandwich was OK but my wife's grilled cheese with bacon was probably the worse sandwich she ever had anywhere. Maybe because we didn't tip enough. Ordered a chicken ceaser and a broccoli cheddar. Drove all the way home(I live far from this location)only to discover no chicken in the salad. For $15. I definitely expected what I ordered. Drove all the way back cause I had free time. So why not. The cute guy that helped me was really nice. Offered me a free item but I said "nah its cool" I would of taken a refund or credit. But that wasn't offered to me. They remade everything. Great. I hate to be one of those bitchy customers, I own a retail business. I know what its like to deal with people. People are just stupid but I'm giving this place one star because the inconvenience. Shouldn't have to drive back for what I ordered. honestly i love panera and it was 8:20 at night and they close at 9:30 pm.... i rushed over there and i was waiting in a long line and no one was answering on the speaker so i drove to they front and they purposely ignored me and everyone else in line.. i called 4 times and they hung up on me, and i drove back to the front and two girls were so bitchy towards me saying how they closed at 8 that night... i don't care i understand that but they knew i was there.. they knew there was a long line and they were ignoring everyone i'm so upset.. definitely was not handled right at all read more
