I normally dont post negative reviews but this was the 3rd time ive tried this Panera and it just keeps getting worse. I ordered a blueberry and peach smoothie through the drive thru and it was literally just crushed ice and blueberries, no flavor, couldnt drink it at all, just ended up tossing the drink. I also waited about 10 minutes before someone showed up at the window and didnt have my order correct at all, and I only ordered 3 things. Im not sure if the training was wrong or if the employees just dont care, but sadly I will not being giving them a try again. read more

I don't know how many times I've gone in and ordered and they're out of what I want and that was even before the crazy world we're living in. They don't have enough people at the front to place an order and if you go to try and use one of the machines it takes people in front of you a half hour and you run out of time when you need to be somewhere. I don't really like the food and I think it's a bit over priced. read more

I rarely write reviews but was compelled to by the excellent service I got from this location in Lake Elsinore. Specifically, LAURA, who handled our catering order was really great. It was a fairly small order and we were pretty far away, on the edge of their delivery radius, I'm sure. Laura was very thorough with answering my questions beforehand. Then, once I completed the order online, she followed up with me the morning of and also delivered the order herself, to a location up the mountain that was not easy to find. Despite that, the order arrived fresh and on time. I would use this location for catering orders again in a heartbeat. I would feel in good hands. read more

I got the Thai Chicken salad tonight and when I got home I was shocked at how the salad size has shrunk. It is now barely bigger than the 1/2 size salad. Panera's salads are not cheap but I wanted to eat something somewhat healthy. Guess Panera decided I needed to be on a diet for me. read more

Drive Through Etiquette: This was my FIRST Panera Bread drive thru experience and I will not be back here EVER. Evidently, Panera in Lake Elsinore, California believes it is appropriate to let a drive through customer place an extremely LARGE order causing us drive thru customers with only one small item to wait over 25 minutes while Panera prepares this large order. Really? When I pulled up to the drive thru on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 around 9:30am, there was only one vehicle in front of me placing an order. You would think they were engaged in a personal and private conversation because I seriously waited over 15 minutes for this person to place their drive thru order and move forward to window. Finally, at 9:48am (time on receipt) I got the chance to place my order, which was for a bacon egg cheese wrap. It took all of 20 seconds to place my order. I then proceeded to the 'window' to pay and receive order and had to wait another long 14 minutes for Panera Bread to 'make' the large order for the person in the vehicle in front of me; cars behind me prevented me from leaving. Where is the standard here? How can Panera Bread allow this to happen? Honestly, in my opinion, the place to do that is inside the store. Other drive thrus (golden arches) have the courtesy to make the driver pay for their order, pull around, park in a specially designated stall, and patiently wait for a large order, allowing the flow of the drive thru to continue. I asked 'DT', the drive thru cashier: "Is it normal to wait THAT long at a Panera Bread drive through for such a small item?" To which she replied: "Well, it's not normal, but that person had a VERY LARGE order". I let her know I was not happy, that it was simply not fair to the other drive thru customers. In conclusion, the quality of Panera Bread does not deserve the time I had to wait. This Panera has given me the worst experience and I will not be returning. I feel bad for the staff having to deal with some of the managers who work there, the biggest problems I've had here are my food being uncooked and cold, the soda machine has had mold growing in it a few times I've gone in and the worst part has been the manager Sandy has been completely rude every time I've picked up food or eaten there she has been rude to not only me but I've also seen her be rude to the other employees she's cussed at them, rolled her eyes when they've talked to her and when I was there the other day she pushed through two employees and didn't apologize or say excuse me Sandy has completely ruined Panera for me. read more

I normally love Panera bread well at least the riverside location is always on it's A+ game. The lake Elsinore location however was just a huge disappointment I just moved to the area and really wanted something warm, well I waited in line just to be told that the first item I requested was out which was a chipotle chicken wrap then I settle for soup and Mac and cheese and get to the window to pay and they tell me oh by the way the autumn soup is out like what is going on if you offer these items at your restaurant then they shouldn't be out of stock regardless of how busy you are. My boyfriend and I order from here Bc it's the only one anywhere near us. We order a lot of food every time we come and we do so frequently. Ordered the Yogurt Granola Parfait for $4.29 and got a thimble sized portion. 70% yogurt, 10% fruit, 15% granola, and 5% honey. It tasted good but completely unsatisfying. The pic on the self order kiosk is totally misleading. Do not fall for it. It may satisfy you if you recently had gastro bypass surgery but for $4.29 it's still not worth it. This is my third time here & once again I'm disappointed with their service. The staff is not up to speed. I ordered a pastry & it took 7 minutes to get it. All coffee blends are all watered down. I usually get to the store around closing time and I have seen several employees ignoring the night baker when they arrive and the doors are locked at about 5 till closing sometimes and others not till 10 after. I don't know what the quality of the food is like, but if they're as good as their employees, then I won't bother with them. Who knows, next year they might be better, but I doubt it. read more

Have visited this location 4 times since opening. I have never received a correct order at the drive through. I suggest anyone ordering at the drive through check your order at the window before you drive another inch. Extremely unfortunate to find out at home with your family starring at you upset. Hmmm wasn't quite sure what was going on here. There were bunches of I'm guessing managers crowded together behind the register watching as one employee who is obviously is new trying to ring everyone up. He was a very nice young man. I ordered a loaf of bread sliced & when he asked for help one of the managers said she couldn't do it. So he had to do it while a bunch of people behind me stood and waited for him while he cut my bread. It made me feel bad for even ordering since everyone had to wait on me. Like what is this. Now I've been waiting for my simple food order for awhile. I only gave this place two stars since the employee who rang me up was nice and accurate. Delicious! Great staff, friendly, attentive, and always cleaning. Our favorite meal is the sandwich with tomato soup. Quickly served with toasted bread which is soft on the inside and seems to be baked fresh. Great spot for a homemade meal versus the usual fast food...farrrr from fast food. read more

Decided to give the Panera in my city a try. Let me preface by saying I know they have only been open for a week, and will have kinks to work out. Let's start with the drive in wait. Not too long of a wait, but it seems their expediting service inside is a bit confused. They brought me someone else's food first. Granted, they did verify the name, but it was rather weird that they had that sort of confusion with only three cars in the drive in. Now for the food. I ordered the new bacon tomato grilled cheese and a small Mac and cheese. Got home to eat... and my sandwich was sorely lacking. Very little cheese, but a nice helping of tomato. Bacon seemed to be enough. The bread wasn't toasted enough. In regards to the Mac and cheese... I got a small because I didn't want that much... and apparently they thought small was too big. The cup was only half full! Again... I know the place is new, but let's work out these issues. A grilled cheese should have... well cheese. Photos for reference. read more

First time to panera bread I usually don't write a review till ive been somewhere a few times. the staff was extremly nice. the menu felt a bit intimidating but they offered me a take out menu so I could look it over with no rush. When I oredered my food I got it in no time. The price wasnt to bad it was around 7 for a frap and a bagel. With the other reviews I was expecting more but was pleasntly surpised. The managemnt staff was walking around attending to the guest on the floor I was able to ask vincent a few things and he helped to make my visit enjoyable and recommend some items for my next trip thank you guys and keep up your hard work. I don't know if the corn/tomatoes/onions need to be warm because half of the time my whole plate is cold and when you ask/tell the servers that the plate is cold they ask you to go heat it in the microwave. Would give this location 0 stars if I could. We have given this Panera chance after chance to be disappointed every single time. A few months ago one of the lazy cashiers took my $20 rang it into the register as a $10 and shorted me my change. I had to go into the building deal with the very unhelpful assistant manager until eventually the actual manager came out and gave me the correct change. This whole process took at least 30 minutes. But hey accidents happen right, tried to forgive. BUT, today we went through the drive through and my partner ordered a steak and cheese melt sandwich. We waited a good 15 minutes in the drive thru waiting for our order. When we received it the steak and cheese melt was COLD and it tasted really off and funny. It went straight into the trash. What I waste of $7.00. I am done giving this location chances, if they want to stay in business actually COOK your food and be nice to your guests. Absolutely disgusted. I had to leave a star, in order to write a review. I am very big on customer service when I patronize a business. I frequently go to this business in another city where I'm from, but recently moved here to Lake Elsinore and I have never received this type of service. The cashier Jessica on Thursday 6/3/2021@2:26pm didn't greet us. She acted as if we bothered her with questions, never suggested if we should try something. Never offered if we wanted a dessert. I asked for a frozen caramel coffee which is a new item stated right on the menu above her and she asked did I want it iced. I repeated myself and she then said we do not have those anymore. I'm shocked because clearly it's on the board, but maybe they are out I don't know. I ordered a soft drink instead. I then sat down waiting for my to go order. A gentleman with a blue shirt and khaki pants came to wipe up a spill in the floor (didn't get his name , but by the attire I'm guessing manager) so I asked "excuse sir do you have the frozen Carmel coffee drink?" He replied "yes, we do." So I then explain to him his employee was not knowledgeable about that item being above her and I would have like that instead. He said sure you can exchange it. Give me a second. I waited he walked a large drink to a table. He went to the back never once acknowledged me again . My order was up we walked out I made eye contact with him behind the cashier he was next to walked out the door he proceeded outside to a car and then back inside. Still no acknowledgment I'm floored. Can we do better, not sure if corporate needs to come out and retrain management or if you are the owner retrain yourself and employees because this was unacceptable! Maybe it was a bad day for them. Average food, cleaner than other paneras but slightly small. Went to the drive thru today and ordered a half salad and half sandwich, not sure if anyone working here has eaten a salad with dressing before but the amount of dressing I was given was a joke. Poured it over my salad and it was like it had already been used and was the last few drops. Pretty irritating to eat a dry salad. Get standard on ur quantities!!!! I love Panera! Yes there are things that we are not accustomed to, but even the employees are getting used to it . All of the employees were super helpful and friendly, I was greeted with a smile each time I went in. They are also very patient, I always go in to Panera and I never know what to order ..The food was delicious as always, my son which is a picky eater actually got soup from this location. I have recently visited these restaurants and been very happy with my orders. I was excited when they opened one close to my house. My daughter and I decided to order our usual Mediterranean sandwich and greek salad. The salad was fresh and delicious. The sandwich was unusually lite on ingredients but we were so hungry we mowed it down and it was delicious. We kept saying something was missing so on my way to refill my drink I asked Clarissa at the counter what comes in that sandwich and explained ours was light. I told her it was delicious and that I wasn't looking for a replacement I was just wondering. She was great! She insisted on replacing it. I was so impressed I had to share.
