This is my second time visiting a panera bread in general and I honestly have to say I have had a bad experience with both. I ordered a Cesar salad and they told me that it came with a baguette. No problem there up until I checked my bag once I got to work. The presentation just looked awful. The baguette looked like if someone took a bite off of both ends and then just tossed it in the bag. OMG!!! It was delicious! I liked it so much I had another on Thursday. Ingredients: strawberries, blueberries, pineapple, mandarin orange slices, lettuce & pecans & of course, grilled chicken. The dressing is a poppyseed dressing with orange juice. It was very refreshing I ate the whole thing! Great summer salad. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes fruit in their salad. They kind of rushed my boyfriend at the beginning where you order mind you there was no cars behind us. He ordered a chicken noodle soup and it comes with bread. Well, everyone deserves a second chance so we returned even after the first negative experience. I ordered a simple grilled cheese sandwich and hot coffee. Wife ordered a salad. I paid $0.79 for added avocado in her salad. There were two 1/2" x 1" pieces of avocado in her salad. I searched in the salad bowl just to make sure. I complained and they brought a small cup of avocado. No hot coffee ready. Had to wait couple minutes. Dark roast was light with bunch of grounds floating. I had to dump my first cup. Second still had floating grounds. Grilled cheese sandwich was barely grilled only on outside only. They didn't use butter to grill. Inside was still cold. I used their microwave to warm up my sandwich. Like the first time nothing was offered by them for not making the order right the first time. After the 2 visits I conclude that the problem here is the manager. Some of the workers (kitchen and floor) either do not know or do not care about quality control. The manager either doesn't know how to train or has no control over his workers or they control him. MOD pizza next doors opened later than Panera and the workers have it under control already. If not for MOD I think Panera's parking lot would be near empty most times. I do not like leaving negative reviews and would like giving them a third chance, but not for a while, afraid someone may catch listeria, ecoli, salmonella or other food bourne illness here if the management does not get in control soon. read more

First time here. Well the customer service is good, the staff is nice enough. But how can you forget the Cobb part of the salad? I ordered a very simple Cobb salad that the menu says comes with chicken. The order came without the chicken or bacon. So I had to send it back, it's what I paid for. They took my salad away and brought me a new one, with no fork and no napkins. I had to get up and wait to ask for the fork because there was a customer ahead of me. Always an issue with the word "toasted" when it comes to bagels. Their idea of toasted is to have it slightly warmed. My idea is to have it actually look toasted and be hot. Even when one asks for "extra toasted" it just doesn't get through to them. We have gone to this one a few times now the first two times were not a pleasant experience the food was not correct and didn't taste good. Luckily my daughter loves their ceasars salad so after months of saying no I finally said yes because the one on lone tree way messed our order up two times in a row also so I wouldn't go to any of them anymore. So we went back to this one and the food that was supposed to be hot was and the salad was very good the bread bowl had alot of its middle still in it the broccoli soup had the broccoli cut up not huge pieces. The employee was very nice and it has a drive thru. We have never been inside so I can't comment on that. I just ordered lunch from here and it seems accuracy has declined even more from the last time I came to this location. There was absolutely no bacon in my Bacon Turkey Bravo and my bread and lettuce were extremely soggy from putting too much of the spread. The lady at the drive-thru asked if I wanted a cookie for $.99 and got a brownie instead when you can see on my receipt I ordered the Chocolate Chipper. The hibiscus tea I ordered was supposed to be sweetened and it had no sugar at all. Service has been slow and inaccurate for both dining in and drive-thru at this location numerous times that I felt it was time to write a review about it. This drive through Panera is extremely useful and convenient! The workers are really sweet and kind. I accidentally left my debit card in the drive through and the workers were super sweet but the manager was rude about it and tossed it to me without checking my name or ID for the card. Weird right? Other than that, my food is great and it is fast service. I stop here usually during my break at the local community college and they always provide a nice meal, quickly and friendly. Have been to this location a few times as it's the closest Panera within a few miles of where I live. Ordered a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup and a side Caesar salad with chicken. I went through the drive through to order and the person that took my order repeated what I had ordered back to me. When I got home and opened the bag I found that they had given me the wrong soup and that the chicken in my salad looked completely unappetizing. It was unfortunate as I was really looking forward to my soup and salad. Myself and a coworker put in a rapid pick up order. Mine was ready when I got there but of course the side was missing. Easy enough to let them know and get it fixed. My coworkers food was no where in sight. I text her and verified it was for 11:15, nope she accidentally put an 11:45 pick up. No big deal I'll just tell the girl and ask that they make it now. Oh how something so simple went so wrong. She said no, they will make it and put it on the counter at the original time. Um, I'm sorry that making something earlier is that huge of an inconvenience. There's a lunch lull right now, I know they would be fine to make it early but the girl says no. My coworker tries to call the store multiple times to hopefully clear this up and as I type this I can hear it ringing and no one is answering. The girl sees me typing on Yelp and runs over to say sorry but they still won't be making it until 11:45.... But she's sorry. Horrible customer service in person and obviously over the phone since no one answers. Update: I finally got the food and make it back to the office, microwave my now cold soup and realized they didn't put any cheese in my French onion soup. As much as I love Panera I am done. I guess I learned my lesson on tipping them while paying! First off, all the tables were dirty with dishes on them, so we sat outside, the papaya green tea was out and not refilled. What's the point of rapid pick up if the order is never ready? I purposely chose this location to give plenty of time for my order to be ready for my commute into work. Although it's further from where I live, whenever I'm on the go I always gotta come to the Pittsburg Panera Bread and it's also great because the freeway is literally around the corner! The service is fast, the food tastes great, and all for a fair price. Plus, if you're a health nut, the menu won't disappoint. You can even customize the menu items if you want to add something more! For example, I always get the Caesar Salad but I add quinoa for protein with onions, sun dried tomatoes, and top it with Caesar dressing. And the awesome part? This Panera has a staff problem. They are terrible at handling orders in the morning. On my most recent visit, the woman at the drive thru register could not figure out how to charge me with apple pay. They didn't even give me an opportunity to enter my rewards number either. Finally, when she finally figured out the register enough to bill me, she forgot to give me my breakfast. When I reached in to the drive thru window to get my food, she snapped at me and told me to wait until she was ready to give it to me. WTF Panera. I would really go there most mornings for a bagel and coffee if not for their crappy employee attitudes. I prefer their bagels to Starbucks bagels but since Starbucks employees are nice to me, I just go there. Panera, if you care, if you are listening, work with your staff.
