I stopped in here recently to pick up dinner and a drink, and it was a pretty average experience overall. The place in general was pretty empty, i.e. not busy at all. There were four kiosks but half of them were broken or offline (and while Panera can't help this, the party of three in front of me blocked access to the third kiosk as they used the fourth one to place their order. Way to slow us all down during your social outing, guys!). These days you have to get your cup for your drink from a staff member (instead of it being part of the kiosk checkout) - fine, except that everyone working was so busy preparing food or cleaning that I was left waiting unnoticed for a while. I did eventually get my cup, but it was definitely not a speedy or efficient step in the process. It's worth noting that at the kiosk it said that they were out of Bubbly water, but Bubbly water WAS available at the drink station. However it was obvious that it wasn't fresh Bubbly water, so that was definitely a bummer! It then took a while to get my sandwich, too - once upon a time Panera was one of the faster places to grab lunch or dinner, but those days seem to have passed us by. At least my go-to Mediterranean Veggie Sandwich was as delicious as always. While I was left tapping my foot a lot while waiting for a cup and some food in an empty Panera, I want to be clear: I don't blame the staff for any of the above. The place was clean and it was obvious that no one who was working that evening was doing nothing. So shame on their management for mismanaging operations in general; I hope someone sees this and evaluates what equipment needs to be fixed; how to make sure fresh inventory is available and properly reflected as an option while ordering; and where the eatery is slow and lacking as a whole. read more

There are some good people working at this Panera location. This morning, the manager came into the dining area to pick up the used dishes at the trash stations. On the way, he stopped at each table to say hello to the customers. He wasn't waiting on us or trying to put on a good face for us; it was clear that he just genuinely wanted to say hi and ask how we were doing. This isn't the first time it has happened either. Definitely made my morning that much better as I snacked on my cinnamon roll! This is one of the reasons why I come back to this location so often. Other people should too! read more

Clean store, with decent signage for social distancing. However, I am missing the clear one way in and one way out. It appears that this location only has 1 set of doors, so that likely has something to do with it. In general, we always seem to get the same things when we stop at a Panera. This time is was after flying into PA, and this location is close by the airport. We ordered the Napa Almond Chicken Salad Sandwich, a kids turkey sandwich, and a strawberry smoothie. We prefer this kind of fast food over something less healthy. So if you are looking for an easy on/off stop, check out this place. read more

I have eaten at Panera countess times. I am always a fan of their food and atmosphere. However, what drove me to write this review was an experience with a worker at this location. One employee, Richard, was taking orders at the register. He was so incredibly happy, cheerful, and polite that I actually left the restaurant in a better mood than I came in. I love Panera's food in general, but was a little disappointed with this specific Panera. They only had one cashier taking orders during a peak out, so the line did take a long time. When I received my you-pick-two, I noticed that my soup was mostly broth, which was very disappointed. My friends order was completely wrong and she had to take hers back. This is the dirtiest Panera bread that I have ever ate at. We came at a time that wasn't that busy. All the workers were sitting around and talking. No one wanted to wait on us. We went to take our seats and there were a number of open tables, and they were all filthy! We asked a girl behind the counter to wipe our table off and she wiped down every table except ours. We got up to move tables to one that she wiped down. The seat was full of crumbs and sticky stuff. I went up and asked if i could just have a towel to wipe it down myself. The guy followed me and just rewiped the table down. Not the bench like i asked. The food was cold. They added mustard to one our sandwiches and gave us attitude when we asked for one without. We were waiting for one of our other coworkers to fly in so we decided to eat lunch while we waited. I was filling up my drink when my pager started to ring to pick up my food. I love the food here. Correction... I love the bagels here. It's the only thing I ever eat when I come to Panera which ever city and what ever location. Panera is a casual bakery with good products. My wife always go for the orange scones. I always go for the bagels. The take out bagels are actually a good bang for the buck. For about 14 bucks you can get 13 bagels and 2 containers of cream cheese. If I'm eating in however it's kind of expensive. I had one asiago bagel with creak cheese, toasted and my wife had her scone. With 2 coffees it comes out to almost 10 bucks. Good food, sort of expensive to eat in. I hate giving bad reviews, but this specific Panera takes forever to order if there are customers, the avocado for multiple days has been black and gooey (bad produce at a Panera?!), no one staffs the coffee bar so they pull someone off register to make each coffee drink (slowing everything down more) and the internet is the worst I've ever seen. Even basic Google will just time-out before you can load the page. I love Panera. I hope this one can bounce back. read more

First time here in forever. You can't drive a mile it seems without seeing a Panera. Got a bowl of their vegetarian vegetable soup which came with a piece of a baguette. The soup "bowl" seemed a bit simply and pretty tasteless. Added some pepper. Also ordered a coffee, got a cup. Went to the urns for light roast - out - so used dark. Went for some half and half - out - so used skim. Seems a little more attention to the coffee bar might be in order. All in all a meh experience, nothing really drawing me back. read more

This is solely based on the chai I ordered.... It was gross. I don't really know what else to say. I'm always hesitant to order a chai at chains because they usually use a powder based chai mix instead of the chai concentrate most independent coffee houses (and Starbucks=Tazo brand) use. I have to preface this by saying I hardly EVER throw food or drink away if I'm not into it. I usually suck it up with a good effort. I took the first sip and realized this wasn't going to end well. It was so sugary sweet that it overpowered every taste bud in my mouth. I tasted no spicy kick a chai usually has. My cousin and I stopped here on Sunday after hiking at nearby Settler's Cabin Park. Since it was a wonderfully brisk Sunday morning and we just hiked about 6 miles or so, I was in the mood for some really good soup. Nothing else sticks to the ribs after getting the old blood pumping on a morning like this! I opted for the soup & 1/2 a sandwich combo. I went for the cream of chicken & wild rice soup, which was so good. The 1/2 a smoked ham & swiss sandwich was decent enough. The soups are the best items on the menu here. Otherwise there's nothing to distinguish Panera from any other bread place like Cosi, Corner Bakery, Einstein Bagels, etc. Keep in mind, there are two Paneras within a couple of miles of each other: this one and the one in Robinson Town Center. read more

Hmmmm it's Panera Bread.... Clean but somewhat stark and unfriendly environment. I enjoy the cinnamon crunch bagle with the honey walnut cream cheese spread but this one had tasting notes of the everything bagel (sesame seeds, poppy seeds, garlic, toasted onion, and kosher salt). Maybe they had them in the same compartment or possibly they ran one of them through the toaster before my bagel and didn't clean it.... I'm not picky and don't usually complain but I was starving and it was pretty gross. I went to the counter and told them about the nasty brown lettuce and how I hope they don't serve this to any other customers ... she seemed to not care at all that my salad was brown and wilted. This is a standard Panera. You order your food, you sit, you eat, and then you bus your own table. It wasn't anything special for me. The food was pretty standard for the Panera chain. This afternoon we went to have an early lunch. We beat any lunch crowd that there would be. There was one person working the register, a couple talking at the sandwich station, and a manager rejecting a customer complaint. We waited forever to order, paid a lot of money for what turned out to be a bowl of lettuce with some salad dressing and some sort of thick squash soup that was literally too sweet to eat. ALL of the coffee pots were empty, all of the tables were dirty, the carpet was covered with trash and crumbs everywhere. We did let them know that there wasn't anywhere clean to sit, but ended up cleaning up a table ourselves to sit. They didn't fill the coffee until after we had already finished with our food thus not getting a drink until the last minute of our stay. There were no apologies given! I am willing to overlook a bad day at almost anywhere. But this was not our first bad experience here. We will not be returning! There was absolutely NO redeeming qualities what so ever.
