Upon arriving at Panera, I was not greeted or even acknowledged. I was not asked if I needed help and as far as I'm concerned, I must have been invisible. When patrons after me walked in, they were greeted and helped. I placed my order through the kiosk because again, no one even acknowledged me standing there for five min looking at the menu. My food was ready in about 7 mins and the food itself was pretty good except I didn't notice any avocado on my sandwich. I ordered the Broccoli and Cheddar soup and the Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt. My food was warm by the time I got to enjoy it, but was still very good. The restaurant was clean. I would not go back to this location as I felt unwelcome. read more

Placed a rapid pickup order that was scheduled for pick up at 10:18, didn't receive my sandwiches until 10:45, sat down in the lobby to eat and my breakfast sandwich was cold. I understand it being busy on a Saturday and there being a longer wait, but I do expect the food to be warm when I do get it. Also, customers that walked in and ordered got their food before we did. I am visiting Portland for work and decided to stop here before heading in. Yesterday I got the chipotle chicken and avocado breakfast sandwich. This morning I did the same thing. My issue is the sandwich this morning is 1/3 the size as the one I got yesterday. I went to speak with a manager, she told me it was just a small batch of dough that they cut into 1/3's and nothing she can do. I'm sorry this is not acceptable Panera! By then she was getting a headache, half her face was numb, and she had pain in her stomach. She told the team manager it was no small mistake. It could be very serious. I asked him to give her a refund or at least a gift certificate. He quickly said he could not. It was against their policy. Lots of parking nearby. The inside is quite spacious and clean.... A good, quiet place to study or read a book! I don't go to Panera often so was a bit surprised by how high the prices were for sandwiches and salad. I will start with i'm a Panera addict. This location is starting to warm up a bit but honestly the service is not at the level i expect. Team members seem to be at 3/4 speed and lack some of the natural personality I've come to expect from Panera. Team members here should maybe go to Clackamas and see the upbeat energetic team work i often see there. The manager in the morning (male and tall) is nice... and everytime I've seen him he's in the kitchen on the line helping people. I place my orders online in advance and the cups for sip club are always in the order window not in the order pick up cabinet. I've gone in be before after placing an order and no cup is sitting ready so i went to the counter and they send me back to the kitchen. It really doesn't make sense to have a customer really back and forth. I know there are supply issues but honestly this location has only 4 tea options and has for several weeks. Wish they would get mint back in. Every location I've been to but this one has it. I have not yet ordered food here... i will update when i have. The drive thru is a huge draw here but i make things so specifically sometimes its hard to go through with an advance order. I will update my review once I've ordered AT the drive thru. Terrible service and not a clean table in the restaurant! It was well past the lunch rush, but still nobody bothered to clean the dining room. The area for returning dirty dishes was full, so people started just stacking their dirty dishes on nearby tables. Meanwhile, the employees were just casually hanging out in the food prep area. Our meals did not taste good; the food was very low quality with very high prices! Years ago, we used to really enjoy Panera, but it has definitely gone downhill. Not so good! Stood at the counter for 5 minutes with no one in sight. {I hate the kiosk!} Finally had a bored looking staffer show up to take my order. I asked for a half salad, scone, drink. No thanks or any other comment. Got my drink and tried to find a table that wasn't blasted by icy air. Looked at my receipt and she charged me for a whole salad. OK, i like the salad so went with it. Waited for 15 minutes for it to come up. Baguette piece was half the size of the regular piece they usually put out and not warm. Had to ask for butter and a knife. Tried the salad and it was mostly wilted greens, as it they had dressed the salad some time ago and left it out waiting for someone to order it. Tables were not cleaned, and I watched others waiting a long time for their orders. I would not try this location again. Poor management and staff. read more

We were meeting folks on the way to the airport so decided Panera Bread was a good stop since we had our dog with us. There is outdoor seating and that worked perfectly for us. Staff didn't seem to have it together. The food was good but staff left you standing. Maybe they were new but one employee was a little curt. I kindly asked if I could have some butter and let them know I also needed a bread for the extra bread I got. They tried explaining that I only get one bread and I was telling them I ordered it, it was a little confusing but the guy I assume he's a manager because he had a different uniform. He didn't believe me and just said I could have it and then he went to ask the cashier if I ordered it and I didn't hear this but I know her answer was yes. Their food is fine, it's exactly what you expect from Panera but their customer service is awful. I've never had a positive mobile order here, usually you stand there four or five minutes before they acknowledge your existence while you stare at the bag that is probably yours, I don't like being pushy when they're working but even a 'I'll be right with you' would go a long way. On top of that you have to check your bag because they frequently forget your items. They also can't seem to be bothered to answer their phones either, maybe because most of their calls are people pissed about their terrible experience. Unless you're dining in choose one of the more professional establishments in the area, then again, I'm not sure I'd trust the dine in either, never tried it and won't be. read more

This review is for a Rapid Pick Up order I placed yesterday. I placed the order easily enough on the Panera app. and I went into the cafe to pick up my food when I got a text saying the order was ready. I stood in front of the counter for 13 mins without anyone acknowledging me. The screen displaying order progress was not working. Finally, after seeing 3 other people come in for pickups, be greeted and handed their foods, the woman preparing order asked me my name. Without saying anything to me, she handed me a bag that was sitting on the station, no label visible to me, for the entirety of my wait. I started to mention that it would help if she called out the names or had greeted me, but she walked away. Then I ate my cold soup. There are lots of other places to eat where service is better, so I look forward to this location closing and something else replacing it someday soon. read more

I'm not sure why the ratings at this particular Panera Bread are so low, but I had a good experience. The people at the front counter were very nice, the people were making my food, very nice, they did not have the lobby stocked with lids but when I asked for one, she gave me one and stocked them. The only thing that was a little disappointing is that it didn't seem like the store was kept up very well as far as massive paint chips off of the wall and a lot of distress to the furniture. While I was there, they weren't busy, but the dishes were massively stacked on top of the trashcan, and while that may mean that someone is going to clean it up soon. I was there for at least 10 minutes and no one touched all of those dirty dishes, and there were a lot of them. I also ordered a sandwich that should have had some kind of sauce on it, but there was nothing on it as far as the sauce is concerned.
