Turkey chilli - warm & sumptuous
    Latha P.

Quick in & out takeout at Panera after a long wait in the Vaccine line . Famished & drooling over all items on the shelf and menu , ordered a Sandwich & cup of Turkey chilli. Very Clean & following all Covid protocol , limited crowd , quick service & fresh hot delicious food , maintaining Panera standards . Couldn't wait to bite into the soft bread of my Chipotle Chicken Avocado melt . Chipotle mayo bonded well with the grilled chicken and the creamy avocado slices gave it a soft mouthfeel . Kept going for more when I realized I had not taken a pic for Yelp!! Paused my binging to take a shot of my half eaten sandwich , and gave it a comprehensible form by rotating & cropping the pic !! Turkey chili was perfectly spiced , warm and comforting . As good as always ! Panera doesn't fail you ! Keep it going ,,,,,,

The "perfect" menu item photo, and what you actually get when you order the same thing.

As a person who eats with my eyes, I am really feeling duped by the menu photographers. The pics of the food items on the website, and on the iPads they make you order from, I feel like a real idiot for spending over $11 for breakfast. The photo of the Chipotle Chicken, Scrambled Egg & Avocado looked absolutely incredible... ok, you suckered me Panera. I ordered it. And what was thrown at me on a plate was a clumped up wrap of sorts with chipotle and veggies barely spread over the handheld wrap. Oh, and the wrap was broken in two places - leaking food and bits of sauce and veggies falling on the plate. I substituted whites for eggs, easy to order, but not cool Panera to have professional photos taken which are nowhere near what comes out. And if the food photos are deceitful, heavens knows what other liberties they take. If I had a food allergy, I would ignore this place. Not sure if they are 2 stars or 3. The fact that I stood like an idiot for 5 minutes at the store, and nobody told me I was expected to order from an iPad would knock them down to a bit less than 3 stars.

Great Panera location, stopped in for coffee and a treat since it was pouring outside. We got some coffees and I had the most delicious Cinnamon crunch scone that had cinnamon chips topped with a cinnamon crunch icing. I'll definitely order that again. Very nice employees as well...

I never knew McDonald's could be so healthy. I thought they only served diabetes food.

Place is not updated but serves its purpose. It feels like a "carenderia" in the Philippines…read more Tables could seat 4. Has some bar tables to dine to. They got combo for 2 viands and a rice. Street parking. I didn't see any high chair. Filipino food tastes good here and good quantity serving. Would recommend to try for Filipino food. I see comments that the owner/staff is not pleasant. I think it is because he has some medical issues going on. I heard him talking about his medical concerns to a friend. See images for reference

The location is super prime right in the geographical center of the small borough. It's a few minutes walk from the train station, across from the new under construction municipal building, a block from the all-important Quick Chek, and has ample atypically free street parking right out front or at worst on the block save for a few Friday nights. The easy signage and frontage all help to get here easily. I joke that the worse the interior decor the better the food and here the interior decor is mostly inherited from its predecessor, a Chinese take out place, with still unchanged elements from that very many decades ago business but none of that will detract or deter from the excellent happy food coming from the kitchen in the back. The charm is that the humble decor lets the food speak loudly and it absolutely does with the hot and inviting buffet-like line. Its easy-to-spot array of happy dishes, all your favoured Filipino dishes. Also be mindful this layout is pretty much how it is wherever in the world you find your Filipino food. Likewise there're the baked goods on the shelf and table across from the cash register. As for the food itself, I can never get the dishes names well down in my head, for whichever reason, perhaps a lack of attention and labels both, but essentially I am game to try any dish. There's the sour-and-savory pork a flavor combo which is so totally addictive. The same treatment as done for a bamboo shoot-like vegetable is good since there're a great many pork dishes and few vegetable ones, though I could be simply unable to understand which dishes are what. For the kids, these are hearty nutritious entrees so no kids menu need apply. The serving ware is simple plastic carry out type with the shamelessly Kirkland Signature goods otherwise, go Costco! The humble elderly couple who run and likely own it are super charming with many local connections and years being in this location. I am a big fan of so many area Filipino ones, the nearest two being in Metuchen and Flemington, so I am so very happy Lutong continues serving happiness!

About 2 minutes later, I went to the counter again to order pork lo mein and wonton soup. The staff member was visibly irritated and rudely said, "You have to tell us. You didn't say anything and now the dumplings are almost done." It felt unnecessary, considering I hadn't finalized my order and told them I would take another look at the menu. Food wise: The pork lomein was a bland and both the noodles and pork were a bit dry. The pork tasted off in addition to the poor texture. I wouldn't order it again. On the other hand, the wonton soup was delicious with deep flavor in the broth. Best wonton soup I've had from a casual restaurant. It was hot, flavorful, and not oily. The wontons were good as well. The filling had good flavor and the wrapper was a nice texture. The restaurant itself was calm and dim with a decent amount of seating available inside.
