spicy chicken chipotle and pepperoni pizza
    Aneesha M.

Recently dined in and had a poor experience. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, we waited about an hour after ordering to receive our single pizza. The staff seemed extremely disorganized and disengaged with the majority of them talking amongst themselves in pairs around the restaurant while several tables sat unattended. It took over 30 minutes just to get water, and another 10 minutes after being seated to receive bread. With the open kitchen layout, it was clear that very little was being prepared or moved along. The lack of care from the team was truly mind blowing to watch. I observed the other 2-3 tables around me which had no more than 4 people seated and all including ours was empty, with no food. However, the manager stepped in toward the end and kindly offered us dessert to make up for the wait, which we appreciated. The butter cake and pizza were both good but not enough for an hour wait. The staff needs better direction to improve the overall experience.

I had never been to CPK before, but my boyfriend suggested we go and try their cauliflower pizza crust. It's a casual sit down eatery. The cheese, sauce, and toppings are ok. Nothing to write home about. The cauliflower crust was good. You can't really tell it's cauliflower so it made for a guilt free cheat. They bring some bread pieces out that precede the meal, but they're also nothing to write home about. I will say that their spinach and artichoke dip was delicious. That didn't disappoint at all. Overall, a casual mid tier eatery that's ok. It's like an Applebees of pizza spots. I don't think I would go out of my way to go back.

We ordered pepperoni pizza and two chicken piccata. We have been waiting close to 45 mins after we ordered and didn't get any bread while we waited. Service was extremely slow! Good place to eat but tonight was ridiculous! Bread should be made constantly like any other chain restaurants! They gave you two thin hard pieces of chicken breast. The portion of the pasta was half of what they have advertised on the menu picture. As well as how small and thin the chick pieces were when compared to menu picture.

We come here pretty often because of the spicy buffalo cauliflower - it is the most addicting snack ever! We went there again yesterday. We ordered the spicy buffalo cauliflower and their pizzas - spicy chipotle chicken (not really spicy but has flavor) and the wild mushroom. We loved the pizzas...it's our usual go to pizzas. We also ordered a strawberry mango cooler - it was refreshing! Our waiter was friendly and helpful. Since one of us is vegetarian, he let us know that we could replace toppings of the pizza if needed and gave us options which was very nice of him. Rating this place 4 stars because it is pricey and sometimes it takes a while for the food to come. However, we enjoy the food here a lot and if you come during happy hour, there are discounts

The restaurant was not so busy when my friend and our daughters arrived. We were seated in Alex's section. He was not the best but also not the worst I've had. I want to say he did his best but in all honesty I think he could have done better. He was not very attentive and he didn't always remember our requests. The dynamite shrimp and guacamole were both really good. I had the wild mushroom pizza. I get it often. My daughter got the Hawaiian pizza. She loved it! My friend and her daughter got the BBQ chicken pizza. One pizza came out perfect and that is what is pictured. The other pizza was not cooked with the red onions. They were thrown on top. Both managers did their best to make the situation better which we were all grateful for. It I go back, I'll more than likely sit at the bar. I don't want to chance being seated in Alex's section. There was another table that left because of how long everything was taking. I think Alex should be a host because on a "busy" Friday night, he was not able to take keep up.

Went back a few days later because the pizza was just THAT good. Second one looked even better!

At CPK after a really long gap with family for pre shopping lunch. When at the mail there are a few choices and Cheesecake factory becomes the usual pick . This time decided on CPK. Bread with olive oil was quite standard - nothing special Mexican Street Corn- delicately flavored - must try Crunchy Thai Salad - this is a classic dish and a must try at CPK- crunchy texture with a sweet and sour dressing. California Veggie Pizza - bland blah ... sorry it's not to my liking CPK was a craze when they opened but they failed to create interesting flavors so have been a mediocre restaurant. A solid standby for a quick bite at a mall or some airports . They have a few solid dishes that you can stick to every time and you won't go wrong .

I have not been to a CPK in a very long time and I think the last one I was to was in Southern CA. Either way, I do not recall it having such a fast food feel to it but in any case... Seated for a quick dinner the menu is big enough to find something interesting on it to which I was looking forward to. Sharing the Spinach Artichoke Dip - Served hot with house made blue & white corn tortilla chips, to start set a low bar for what was to come. The dip itself did not have much taste and was warm at best in temperature. The real disappointing part, however, were the chips of all things. They were semi soggy at best and tasteless as well. Yes, the bag of these would be thrown out if it was at home. The pizza ordered was actually very tasty. Spicy Milano - Spicy marinara, serrano peppers, Italian sausage, spicy pepperoni, Cremini mushrooms, yellow onions, fresh Mozzarella & Romano and wild Greek oregano. The serranos are cut small and thin, so they add a great kick and are very different from the Jalapeños you see everywhere. There were two disappointing parts to the pizza, however. It took FOREVER to make it to the table and the crust was way over done. The excuse for the timing was that the kitchen was backed up. Look, this might be true but with an open kitchen and sitting right across from the pizza oven it did not seem to be a case where anything was scrambling to get in there. Perhaps it was more a manning issue? Either way adding the timing to the issues noted above this visit was a complete bust.

I don't give one star to CPK lightly, because I LOVE CPK but I was very disappointed with my visit to this location in Bridgewater, New Jersey. I personally live a lot closer to the Short Hills location, however, I just so happened to be in the area on March 19, 2023 so I thought I'd give this one a shot... Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed. I ordered the California Veggie Pizza and I didn't even have the "balls" to take a picture of it because it was a complete disaster. The pizza dough was raw and the waiter did not let me know the kitchen had run out of of broccolini so they put boiled/steamed broccoli instead... Not the same Mr. Chef. This really upset me since my SIL and I have ordered the Spinach and Artichoke Dip and the chips are worse than STALE. The only reason I give this place one star and not zerio is because the waiter comped a dessert for us since we had such a bad experience.

Love CPK! We started with sangria flights, they were super sweet and mainly juice. I barely tasted any alcohol but I like the concept. We then got the carne Asada and the spicy chipotle pizzas. The spicy chipotle is amazing!! I love the sauce it comes with, you will haveee to get extra. And make sure to leave room because the butter cake it's one of my top desserts anywhere!! they have creative pizzas, a little expensive but they're usually pretty good!

I wanted to try something from the lunch menu, after asking an employee, I was told that lunch starts at 11:30am. So I came back around that time to order. I've been seeing their Big Mack Smash on social media for some time now, and it looks delicious. So I decided to I order their single patty Big Mack Smash, with angus meat and American cheese, on a plant based white bun. I don't care for sesame seeds on buns, and there was no option for a regular burger bun (without sesame seeds), so I chose the non sesame seed vegan bun. I also ordered a side of fries with garlic aioli. The plant based white bun was a little dry and the burger patty was also dry and did not have much flavor. Maybe I should have done a double patty for the burger, since it is a smashed patty and a little too thin for my liking. I felt like I was eating a dry burger bun with mostly lettuce, an occasional pickle and the Mack sauce. I probably will not order the garlic aioli again, it had a sweeter and nutty flavor to it, and I prefer more of a savory aioli. I used to order their Blackened salmon with a side of greens and Spanish rice in their BBQ Ranch flavor style, from their old menu. I do miss that meal, it was so flavorful with the crispy onions to top everything off. But I understand that they made the change to better suit the business and cut back on waste. I probably would not order the big Mack burger again. But I will definitely be back to try something else from the new menu. I've been a customer for over 6 years, and have introduced some of my family members and friends to this restaurant, and we've enjoyed our meals here for that time. I love that there are many vegan and vegetarian options here. Although I am neither, it's a great place for those who have dietary restrictions/preferences. Hopefully I find my new go to menu item soon, but in the meantime I will be ordering and trying many of the other new menu items. This is definitely the place to come if you don't want a typical vegan meal. You'd be like a kid in a candy store, with the amount of options that are here. They also have many non vegan options. Turf, Surf and Earth serves EVERYONE and that is their biggest positive!

We were the first two in the room, but there ended up being a few very loud parties that also ended up sat in the room with us - totally not the fault of a restaurant for that, but just know that sound carries in the room on the opposite side of the hall from the bar. The vibes of the old house were great though! Once sat, our waitress was alright. I got a cider and my coworker had a couple of beers. We split the caramel shrimp (very tasty) and I also had the cheddar IPA soup. The soup was good but could have used maybe just a bit more salt for my taste. He wound up getting the pub burger and said it was delicious. I had the BLT and added fried chicken. The chicken wasn't the fried chicken I imagined (not as breaded/crispy) but the sandwich was really good! Overall, it was a neat spot that I'd go back to if I was in town.
