There are always things out of our control but today when I ordered through Paneras website for a delivery...Door Dash cancelled my order. I was told to reorder and when I did, my bag was delivered missing part of my order. Here's the thing...I could complain, argue and make a big deal or I could understand that things happen. Salene' was absolutely so kind and sweet when I called in 3 times. It was a simple error and she made it absolutely right but extending her sincere apology and even offering to remake the sandwhich at a later time. Horrible customer service I was in a rush having just left jury duty all day. And I had less than 1 hour to get food and get to work. I stopped and used the kiosk which I will NEVER do again. I ordered a sandwich and a coffee. I rarely have been to Panera in my life. I didn't know that coffees were "self serve". The checkout doesn't tell you that. And there's no signs. And when I picked up my food. No one told me. I left without my coffee only to discover I didn't have it. Because I was dying of thirst. Second of all the receipt that comes with the food doesn't have the phone number of the location on it. Which would have been nice after calling a different location back twice. Only to discover wrong location. Then third to be told since I used the kiosk (which companies now use to avoid paying humans) I have to come in person to get a refund. Driving 30 plus minutes for a $2-3 coffee not going to happen. Panera. There was so much wrong with this interaction. You owe me money. I won't be back to any of your locations. Great service! It's rare to be so delighted by the service at a quick service place but Cheyanne at the register just made my day! I normally just get the Mac n Cheese but today branched out and tried the Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt in the you pick 2. Delicious sandwich, not spicy at all to my surprise and the focaccia bread was a nice touch! It was a pleasure to come here early on a Saturday morning to fetch some treasures. Most pleasant was the staff member, "Hope" I think her name tag said. As sweet as pie. I got a variety of bagels, and Mrs. Yelper loved them. I think Asiago was invented in the same place as Boba because we don't know what life would be like without them. Hope expertly sliced the bagels, cheerfully cashed me out, and off I went. Panera has high quality standards and most locations live up to that standard. This one certainly does. If I could give a zero rating I would, a situation that could have been easily resolved by the manager on duty "ABEL" turned into a display of lack of customer service & basic common courtesy. Shocking that he works in a service driven industry & even more concerning that he represents Paneras talent or lack of. On Friday I did a rapid pick-up for the first time. I walked in this Riverside, Tyler St. location, walked over to the pick-up order area, located my order with my name on it and was on my way. No issues, no questions, as rapid and seem less as possible. Saturday I decided to do it again as I work in the area, same steps placing order. I happen to be talking a work call on my work phone, left my personal phone in the car but brought my wallet in. Walked toward the same pick-up area where I saw my order still on top of the counter. The associate asked me if I needed help, I said that I placed an order and that was me. She asked me for my order number, i told her I didn't have it my personal phone was in the car. But, i asked if she could check my ID as I had my wallet. She said NO, I needed the order number. At this point now I'm mad as i said so you can't check my ID I have to walk back out to my car to get my phone, she responds with,"do you want to talk to a manager". The manager ABEL was watching the same thing said nothing. I came back and the manager ABEL asked me if I needed help I told him the situation he claimed to tell me the policy which he clearly doesn't know per policy posted on company website attached here. I explained I had been in here yesterday, no problem no one asked anything from me, yet today I need an order number and my State ID isn't good enough to show it was my food ordered!! ABEL began to be a Smartass, he did not care to make the situation right in anyway. I asked him again what his name was & he said, "do you want me to write it down"! Seriously??? This is the service that you guys provide. I'm a retail manager, I take care of my customers daily and would have honored an ID and let the customer know that you "may" be required to show order number next time just heads up. What are the chances that someone with my name (matching my ID willing to show) placed an order at that time, at that location?! Are you that hard up to disregard service? I will NEVER eat/order Panera ever myself or order for my team again. That by far has been one of the worst experiences. Loyalty is earned these days, and your managers should understand customers service goes a long way. You need to adopt a yes culture. I really love this location. It is in a beautiful and clean shopping center right off the freeway. Sometimes the parking lot is a little crowded because there are a lot of other shopping places around but it's nothing too crazy to the point where it would make me not want to come here. I also really love the convenience of being able to order ahead on my phone or just skipping the line and ordering from whatever table I choose. I'm usually coming here to study so I'm always caring a lot of stuff, being able to sit down immediately rather than carrying all my heavy items in line is a great luxury for me. The staff was very kind and helpful on my visit, and I'm also a rewards member so I got my whole meal for almost half price. I had originally ordered a Turkey avocado BLT through DoorDash when I received my order the seel had been broken and the half of my sandwich was missing so I called Panera to check maybe they just didn't make a full sandwich sometimes they're busy. It could be an honest mistake, but they had told me that their boss had personally made the sandwich so I complain to DoorDash and letting them know that my Dasher had opened my order and stolen half of my meal. Stopped in to grab a bite to eat around lunch time. Ordered the Half Greek Salad. Joshua was very kind and let me know where the drink station was at. He was very well mannered and pleasant! My Greek Salad came out nice and fresh and the girl who brought out my salad was very sweet as well. My visit here was cut short, they were having some system issues and had to lock up until it was resolved. This panera has literally been a lifesaver for me. It's near my job and so it's a great place to stop in for breakfast as well as lunch. Their online ordering is so easy and convenient. When I'm running late I can just place my order ahead of time for curbside and they will come out and bring my food. Most of the time my order is correct but I will say there have been a few times that they have fallen short.. Meaning I will put no bacon but then I get to work and there's bacon on my sandwich or I will say add avocado and Pay extra for it and there's no avocado. These are simple mistakes that I guess happen from time to time The good thing is any issue I've had the manager or employees have corrected it instantly without further ado. So basically customer service is excellent here the employees are very friendly and I will continue to come here and utilize the coffee subscription as well which is a great program. read more

By far the worst experience I've had at Panera. 1. The girl at the front (only person taking orders with a massive line!) had no clue how to take an order. I had a parfait in my hand and told her to ring it up also, she rang up a side of Greek yogurt instead. I didn't realize that until I looked in our bag and had a side of yogurt. Hmm wrong button! 2. Our breakfast sandwiches came out wrong, asked for scrambled eggs and got over easy eggs. We had a to go order because we are driving to SD, why would we want a messy egg. 3. My latte felt really light but the whip was to the rim so I let it sit for a while as we drove and then I opened the lid and saw this! How ridiculous, less then half of the cup is full. I'll also add that I watched a bagel and cream cheese sit on the line to be ran for about 30 minutes. The guy kept running other orders but leaving the bagel. Panera has been around and have plenty of reviews attached to them, but they deserve another Yelp review. Panera is a quick easy fall back when you want something healthy / somewhat healthy. The customer service is usually spot on and it seems those working there enjoy their time there. I'd have to say the best thing at Panera May just be the fresh French Baguettes. They are just the right amount of crusty on the outside and perfect soft inside. The soups at Panera are decent and go well with the baguette. For the longest time, my wife didn't like any form of Chicken Noodle Soup but every since pregnancy, it's the only one she can stomach, and good thing Panera offers a good Chicken Noodle option! In my option the sandwiches leave something to be desired. Maybe they need more exciting meat options or basic dressings, but Panera is not my first choice selection for a sandwich on the go. On the bright side, their pastry selections are made fresh and are delicious, making them a good selection with coffee to enjoy for a brunch or breakfast meeting. Panera does have its downsides, one obvious one being that regardless of the location, tables and booths tend to be in high demand, so you have to really hunt or wait for one, otherwise there is plenty of tables scattered throughout. The WiFi is very slow, which I have since learned that this is on purpose to discourage those internet cafe folks that want to sit at a booth for hours on end. Overall, Panera is definitely one above McDonalds, Wendy's and most fast food, but their delivery is on par with fast food, making for a healthy, upscale restaurant to meet or just have a meal. read more

Cabot! Not sure if he is a manager or not but he is an excellent server. He goes as far as picking up my dishes after I finish eating (although we can do that ouselves). He always greets me with respect and professionalism. This gentleman has upper management written all over him. Customer service goes a long way in my book, and this person knows what customer service is. Thank you kind sir. The only reason I'm giving this place a 4 star is because it's so busy in there that it's hard for them to keep the place clean and tidy. I visited this Panera Bread on 08/03/2023. Management was very rude and unhelpful although the cashier was nice. There was a woman in front of me picking up a large order. This was during my lunch break and since they were taking a while to verify their order and since there were two other registers open I decided to ask if theres anyway I can place my order quickly since im on my lunch and have to get going to run some errands in between. The manager or what looked like the manager, showed a condescending smile and said "we'll be with you in a moment" and another cashier asked are you paying with card, i said no im going to pay with cash, she said "ahhh im so sorry, i cant help you." Which i felt was weird. After a few more minutes I was able to place my order, she didnt ask for my name either. After running errands i came back to a three person line just like I had been in prior. I made eye contact with the manager and he decided to finally be helpful and asked the next customer in line to come up as he smiled at me again, condescendingly. I went to pick up my order and instead of my actual name on the bag, my name was replaced with "Yolanda." My name is Halle. Panera bread used to be one of my favorite places to visit. However, this has changed since we have been frequently going to the Panera bread across the street from Tyler mall. we went there my whole family 10 of us @ at 7:30 PM. Ordered soup and they had no bread on the shelf. They would not reimburse me for the bread cost. I asked what is all this bread on the corner. The manager said it's being donated. I asked why can't you cut up the bread that you use for the bread bowl. And she said she couldn't do it. So they would rather give that bread away and not take care of the customer.. I asked why couldn't you credit me for the bread? I can't get she says I am not able to do that in the computer. I asked are you the manager or not? She says yes, I am the manager. I said you do not have the ability to do any changes. She said no. Needless to say with the $80 we spent we will not be going back.. I think corporate office needs to work on this location because they have had trouble for a while with all of the blog I have been reading. I want to give responses to restaurants, but I am starting to see a pattern.. and the pattern is forget the customer.
