10.8.24: We went out for family lunch and it was my first time at this location. We were greeted and sat immediately. We were all given water and a few moments to look over the drink menu. Our server, Chyler (that's what the receipt said), was prompt and his service timing was great. I ordered a glass of red wine and my friend got the strawberry lemonade. As for entrees, I ordered the shrimp scampi and my friend got the classic Tour de Italy: (Chicken Parmigiana, Lasagna Classico, and Fettuccine Alfredo). Of course the bread sticks were yummy as usual and are very consistent with their garlic buttery taste and softness. Salad was fresh and crisp and again, very consistent for what it's known for, which is the dressing. The soups I ordered (Zuppa Toscana and minestrone) were so good and the theme I'm going with here is, the consistency of the tastes and signature flavors that people have grown to love. The shrimp scampi was pretty good and the angel hair pasta was cooked perfectly. The shrimp was not overcooked and the asparagus still had a good crunch. My friend enjoyed all the classics of the Tour de Italy and said the chicken parmigiana had a good pound to it, making it real tender. I was so stuffed that I had to take my Pumpkin Cookie Butter Cheesecake dessert to-go. It was super good--the pumpkin wasn't overly spiced and went well with the biscoff cookie butter taste. Sometimes cheesecakes can be too dense and this one wasn't at all. This dessert is seasonal so get it while you can. Our lunch outing was a success and our server was great. It was lunch hour but I feel Olive Garden is always busy at any hour. However, it was a plus that we didn't have to wait to be seated and the music always helps to set the mood and ambience. Pretty sure our server is new, bcuz he made us wait a long time to serve, tried to recommend an app but messed up its name (which was amusing) and seriously skimped on salad, breadstick and side lemon (for water) quantities. Read this, please. I don't expect much from chain restaurants. I used to work at one of the finest dining establishments in Spokane, so I do notice certain things. My experience today (7/4/24) was SO EXTRAORDINARY that it had to be shared. The manager opened the door for us with a smile & a greeting. Hmmmm, okay. We were greeted nicely by the hostess & sat immediately. Our drink order was taken by our kind waiter, David. We order soup, salad, & breadsticks. Our food came out immediately and the soup was in a hot bowl, and our salad plates were chilled. We were checked on multiple times and my drink was refilled as soon as it was empty, without question. It is interesting that on google this restaurant has great reviews, but here through Yelp it not nearly as favorable. But, either way, here is my review. I arrived at the restauraunt at 5:18 pm. I was rushed to sit with my husband. Before we even had a chance to pick up the menu the waitress was there to take our order. Which I found odd, but ok going with the flow. The entire meal including appetizer, soup and entree took less than 30 minutes. We did not have a chance to even drink one drink the entire meal. The service was so rushed, that I was getting indigestion. When I tried to slow it down, the waitress actually stated... "after you pay you can stay if you want". I was ok with that as I had only finished 1/10th of my plate and 1/3 of my drink. Then she is back to box up my food while I was still eating. I asked if I could box it up myself after I finished eating. The waitress was rude, but ok, I was able to finish eating. But by then the experience was ruined. I then took a moment to box the food and as we asked for a bag for the boxes, several since we did not have a chance to eat and my husband was so frustrated he didn't care to. The waitress then told us the bag was 8 cents, after we already paid like she told us we had to. AND, we could go to the hostess desk and ask for a bag. That was about all my husband could take so he went to the car carrying the boxes. I asked for a manager, and they never came even though I was told they were coming. Then I was told they were to busy to talk to me. I am a patient person, my career as a counselor dictates this behavior. But, when they would not even come up so I could suggest letting the staff slow down just a little bit so people can at least eat, I decided I would leave a review. I have never left a negative review but here is my first one. OLIVE GARDEN, slow down. If people pay the plus side of $150 for dinner for two, they should at least have time to eat it and finish a drink. read more

Consistently good food here and always a treat when we make it for a visit. The pastas were outstanding as usual and the tiramisu is just the best. This visit was punctuated by the excellent service we received from Michael. He was courteous, friendly and paid attention to the details. Our special request for the salad and bread were no issue and drinks were filled throughout our visit w/o having to ask. They would do well to figure out a way to keep this young man long term. Ive never been so pleased by customer service as I was tonight. I'm getting used to people not caring but the crew at this Olive Garden really cared and did everything to make it better. If you want to support business where people try to care and do their best, I offer this restaurant as a place to support. I rarely leave reviews but my experience left me feeling I needed to share. They called me multiple times to let me know Uber wasn't handling things the way that would have been expected. Then they called to let me know it was resolved. Then some items were missing, and one of their team drove it to my home. All the while they made me feel like my situation mattered. The food was wonderful and very timely, service was amazing genuinely Bob was so helpful and friendly a genuine joy to have helping us out on the first date night we've gotten to go on in over two month. It was close to closing, but they didn't turn us away and didn't gripe or complain once about us coming in half an hour before closing. The ambiance was so pleasant and calm playing frank Sinatra songs and very quiet with only 3 other tables inside. Bob gave me an extra Andes mint because I told him how much I like them and gave us some extra breadsticks to go since my boyfriend loves them so much. I used go here as a kid and the food was always bangin. But I just went here today and it was some of the most disgusting, repulsive, made me wanna throw up food I have ever eaten. Let me preface this by saying that I have never written a yelp review before, and yet I had to create an account for this purpose. We dined at this Olive Garden just hoping to have a fun night out for not too much money. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the meal was delicious and inexpensive, and that the atmosphere, although loud with families, was suited to our night. However, about all, the reason for this essay of a post, was Bob. Bob was quite possibly the best server we have ever had. He was attentive, quick, and overall incredibly kind. He joked with us, and made us feel welcome in a way that you would never expect in a chain restaurant. He even laughed with us over taking so much food home, and fumbling over simple conversations. Does anyone else remember how the slogan used to be "When you're here, your family"? Bob made us feel like family. Bob made us believe in kind people again. Bob made us temporarily forget all our school stresses and allowed us to just enjoy the endless pasta and breadsticks. We all agree that if only we lived a life surrounded by people like Bob, we would have no use for antidepressants. Please give Bob a raise as soon as possible. Make Bob the CFO, he understands the values of good food service. This classic college friend's outing was transformed into a spiritual experience, and we truly owe that to Bob. Ordered delivery. It was picked up by Uber 35 minutes after order was placed. Took them 45 min to get to my house (normally 20 min drive). They sat in front of my house for a minute then drove away. I called the driver and they said they were on their way. He drove 10 minutes away and sat for 30 min before marking it delivered. He stole my $100 order. I called OG and they looked up my order and said they could only refund. When I said I still wanted my food and was willing to pick up, they told me I still had to pay full price. Basically once it leaves the building, it's not their problem and they can only ask Uber for a refund. I have no way to contact Uber regarding this because it's an exclusive partnership with OG. The manager was very dismissive when talking with her. In the end she gave us a $20 gift card for our inconvenience after we talked to her again while picking up our order. 4 hours from the time of our original order, we finally were eating dinner. I understand they can't control Uber drivers, but they need to have better customer service regarding this, and take care of the customer. I'm not sure I'll give them my business again. read more

For a chain restaurant, Olive Garden gets it right! I've always had good meals at Olive Garden, regardless of location! This location was particularly good! The waitress was quick to refill our drinks and bring out the food. I had the Giant Stuffed Shells with Grilled Chicken and it was so creamy and filling! Pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was absolutely scrumptious! We also got two orders of the Ziti Frita Appetizer because it is so good we can't share just one! The Pasta E Fagioli was very hearty and dense! A good soup for sure! And the breadsticks came out fresh and piping hot every time! I visited this Olive Garden location last night. The hostesses were polite and helpful upon entry. My waitress was polite, outgoing, and friendly. My soup salad and breadsticks were on the table and ready to eat in short order. My only real complaint is giving me two breadsticks at a time. Let's face it, the salad and the breadsticks are the best parts of soup, salad, and breadsticks. I ordered a to go dessert, tiramisu, of course. My waitress was kind enough to give me an additional two breadsticks for a midnight snack in my hotel per my request. Yes. I am one of those people who like Olive Garden. I guess I can blame my mother, because whenever she visits from the midwest she always asks to come here. Yesterday was a nice early dinner with my oldest daughter, and it was delicious and consistent as ever. The staff is very friendly at this location, and ever since the one downtown closed you can imagine how busy they get. They are also being very mindful of the directives from the health dept. I understand people's reviews that this can be a hit or a miss place. I completely agree depends on the time of day how many people will you come with if they have allergies etc. When you come with a large crowd sometimes your orders can be messed up or you substitute one item for another item due to allergies they're not used too. I find that if I come in a group larger than six things get lost in translation on the order. But recently we went with the family of five the food was amazing the server was super hospitable and friendly nothing was wrong with her order everything was fresh hot loads of refills for my sons breadstick addiction LOL! My experience tonight was horrible. I understand that hostesses can't always seat you at the table you would prefer, but when someone tells you they are out on a date night, maybe don't sit them right behind a table with a rowdy toddler who is screaming. When this said kid continued to touch me , climb over the booth into mine, and pull my hair, the waiter and mom did nothing and instead scolded me for not just understanding it was a toddler. I work with kids, and for just one night I wanted to have a good time and enjoy food. But instead we waited 30+ minutes on appetizers and left shortly after receiving them because of the horrible experience we had. Hostesses need better training on where to sit people, and there needs to be a rule about kids. Because there's no way that that should have been allowed. If I'm paying $60+ I should not have to deal with a child pulling my hair, screaming, and getting into my booth. read more

I usually come to the specific Olive Garden at least twice a month for dinner. I went in tonight with one of my friends for her birthday and we are too young girls. We were in the restaurant for probably 45 minutes before we left. Our server was terrible. Every time I go to Olive Garden. I always share either my salad or soup with the other person that is with me and never have a problem with it. He told me he was gonna charge me extra for sharing, our soup and salad after he took our order, he only came up to our table one time and that was to tell us that I was going to be charged extra for sharing. I called a manager over to our table to let him know, and he also said that we weren't able to share. I asked him why we got sharing plates if we can't share and he didn't answer my question. I also told him that we have done plenty of other times and never have had a problem. He was extremely snappy. He asked what he could do and I asked her to go boxes because I didn't want to sit in the restaurant anymore with how they were treating us. After I talked to the manager, our server didn't come out one time the other tables he had he was talking to and asking if they need anything checking up on them. I felt like we were judged for being younger and both being females. This was the worst experience I've had at Olive Garden, it was extremely upsetting. our servers name was Milo if the soup and salad aren't shareable amongst the table, there shouldn't be sharing plates and all of the staff should have the same idea of not letting anybody do it not just depending on who the server is. It was my Nana's birthday weekend and since we are not able to dine in with her we decided to bring dinner to her!! She absolutely loves the Zuppa Toscana soup here so we ordered her a gallon!!
