David was the best waiter I've had in years. No joke. Bravo Sir!

Read this, please. I don't expect much from chain restaurants. I used to work at one of the finest dining establishments in Spokane, so I do notice certain things. My experience today (7/4/24) was SO EXTRAORDINARY that it had to be shared. The manager opened the door for us with a smile & a greeting. Hmmmm, okay. We were greeted nicely by the hostess & sat immediately. Our drink order was taken by our kind waiter, David. We order soup, salad, & breadsticks. Our food came out immediately and the soup was in a hot bowl, and our salad plates were chilled. We were checked on multiple times and my drink was refilled as soon as it was empty, without question. I CANNOT THANK THE NORTH SPOKANE OLIVE GARDEN CREW ENOUGH for this PERFECT EXPERIENCE. Though the food was great, the service made our experience EXCEPTIONAL!

Consistently good food here and always a treat when we make it for a visit. The pastas were outstanding as usual and the tiramisu is just the best. This visit was punctuated by the excellent service we received from Michael. He was courteous, friendly and paid attention to the details. Our special request for the salad and bread were no issue and drinks were filled throughout our visit w/o having to ask. They would do well to figure out a way to keep this young man long term. A knock of one star as they are pretty hard on the wallet. $60+ for two of us, and I just had water. Overall a very good visit with excellent service.

Our server Daniel was great! He was very attentive and super kind to all of us! The food was sooo good per usual and I love the fact that they allow us to take the rest of our free refill food items home with us if we didn't finish. Not all places do that.

The food was wonderful and very timely, service was amazing genuinely Bob was so helpful and friendly a genuine joy to have helping us out on the first date night we've gotten to go on in over two month. It was close to closing, but they didn't turn us away and didn't gripe or complain once about us coming in half an hour before closing. The ambiance was so pleasant and calm playing frank Sinatra songs and very quiet with only 3 other tables inside. Bob gave me an extra Andes mint because I told him how much I like them and gave us some extra breadsticks to go since my boyfriend loves them so much. Overall a wonderful experience for a date night after a long stressful evening. Thank you Bob

I used go here as a kid and the food was always bangin. But I just went here today and it was some of the most disgusting, repulsive, made me wanna throw up food I have ever eaten. The chicken in my soup tasted like it came from a can and was just thrown in there. The salad had so much dressing in it that you could call it a soup. The lasagna tasted like dog doodoo, it was overflowing with cheap tasting tomato sauce, and the white sauce inside the lasagna tasted like cottage cheese. Do not go here please I'm begging you.

The biggest issue right away was how long the food took. It felt like we were waiting forever, and by the time it finally came out, it definitely didn't feel worth it. We started with the pretzel, which honestly was nothing like a pretzel. It tasted more like glorified fried dough and didn't have that classic pretzel texture or flavor at all. For drinks, mine was way too strong and just didn't taste good. It wasn't balanced at all and ended up being hard to even enjoy. For my main, I ordered the Cascadia burger medium, but it came out clearly well done and overcooked. On top of that, the egg on it was severely undercooked.. some of the whites were still clear and slimy, which completely ruined it for me. I had also heard good things about the mac and cheese, so I gave it a try, but that was another disappointment. It was bland and runny, and even after adding salt and pepper, it still had no real flavor. My husband ordered the chicken sandwich, which wasn't terrible, but it was definitely on the dry side. They were also out of fries, so he had to get fruit instead, which was kind of disappointing. Overall, the food took way too long, the quality didn't match the price, and the experience just didn't live up to the hype at all. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

I got the Blackened shrimp bowl with added Avocado ($17ish?) and greens base. I loved the shrimp- but the avocado was sort of brown and the greens were wilted romaine or iceberg. Finally, a place that has HEALTHY, CLEAN, and MACRO friendly options! Not only are they clean, healthy and macro friendly ingredients, they are also QUICK. The inside is bright and clean and the decor is tasteful. I love it. I have tried just about all of their bowls and there isn't one I don't like. The service is always timely, the employees are very sweet and accommodating, and the food, again, is so yummy and not too expensive. This person who said they got "maybe a cup of food for $42.00" is exaggerating. The bowls are usually between $14 and $18 depending on any substitutions or additions I make and it is plenty food. I am rarely able to finish it in one sitting. Some people have mentioned the bowls being dry without an extra side of sauce (so order an extra side of sauce.....?), I don't entirely agree, but I think people need to remember that this place is all about healthy eating. Drowning the bowls in sauce, changes the calories and macros in the bowls. It's like when you eat a salad, but then smother it in ranch dressing. You might as well have had the cheeseburger, because It's no longer as healthy as you want it to be. I think it's important for people to remember this is healthy eating. This is not smothered in sauce, cooked in butter, full of preservatives eating, it's healthy! This is what good wholesome clean food tastes like! It's good and good for you! Someone else said the mango salsa was cold. I don't think I have ever had heated up or warm mango salsa, and I'm not sure I'd want it, so I don't think this is something to hold against them either. I have had the blackened shrimp with mango salsa bowl many times. It's actually one of our favorites! I usually want extra mango salsa, because the combination with the lime creme and the blackened shrimp is perfection! It's so good! I love their food and I love that we have them as an option in Spokane now! We can finally get a quick healthy meal that we can feel good about! I will keep going and keep trying everything you make! Just tried the new Miso Ginger bowl last week and it was AMAZING.

A deeper dive showed a good possibility of gluten free options, so I made the reservation. I was in town on a Monday, just after Hoopfest, but they were the kind of busy where a reservation should always be made I think. My table was ready and I sat in the bar at a high top table. I think I would choose "in the dining room" next time. My server was friendly and quick, as well as knowledgeable about gluten free options. There is even a separate menu that lays out the dishes that are already gf or could be made to be. Love this, always. I ordered the summer salad to start. It was amazing. Flavorful. Fresh. The mint wasn't overpowering, the watermelon was the perfect ripeness. It was so good. I would try to recreate it but it was done so well, and I know I couldn't hit that dressing in the same way. Get it while you can. For my main, I had ordered the scallops in my brain before I even arrived. The risotto was a little soupy, but the flavor was SO good. The corn came through and it went so well with the scallops. The tomatoes were quite over salted, but as long as I didn't eat them alone, it was alright. The scallops were perfectly cooked and I felt like the portion was appropriately sized for the dish, even though there were only 4. My server really made the experience enjoyable. The atmosphere was busy but the booths looked like they could be cozy. The prices were on the higher end. But for a special occasion, it was worth it. I really wished I'd had room for dessert. I will surely go back the next time I am in town.

First off, I was looking for an authentic Napoli style pizza. Like a fresh red sauce from crushed tomatoes and a beautiful chewy, pillowy, yet charred crust. The verdict: Wooden City is the winner! The crust is really really good! The sauce is a bright beautiful tomato sauce that looks like crushed tomatoes however, the sauce was lacking flavor:( I would give this pizza a 3 out of 5. The crust is a 4 1/2 star but the sauce lacking in flavor..brought it down to a 3. Cute place, very pleasant friendly staff..way friendlier vibe than Barrelhouse. The boys are easy on the eyes for younger girls on the hunt! Lmao Don't bother with the Margherita pizza at Barrelhouse. Thank God I only paid $12 for the Margherita Monday deal of half off! The crust was horrible! Dominos has better crust! Costco pizza's had a better crust! The sauce has flavor, very garlicky like fresh garlicky but more of a paste with a load of oregano in it. The cheese didn't have that fresh taste I was hoping for. However, they are known for their Detroit pizza's which I haven't tried but if it's the same sauce, I would pass. Not saying it's bad but it's just not MY cup of tea whether it's for a Detroit style or any pizza. Now you don't have to guess which place has a better Margherita pizza. I wouldn't even pay $12 at Barrelhouse for a marg. Would I come back, yes, if I were in my 20's.. lol but since I'm older and the food is more important to me...no...:/ But hey, maybe their other pizza's are better! I can see a salty pepperoni being good!
