I have visited this Panera multiple times but the last three times their Dark Roast has been disgusting. It's literally just hot water with mild "coffee" flavor. Got into the drive thru line @ 8:45 (they close @ 9) I was waiting behind 3 cars The first 2 cars ordered got their food but the Honda I was right behind was trying to order @ 8:50 but no one would take her order They didn't even tell her sorry we're not taking anymore orders I was trapped between her & another car behind me & a man out front asked me to tell them he was there to collect money for a fundraiser I'm not mad that they closed 5 mins early - it's nice that their employees can go home a little earlier. Today's lunch was so good. I love me some Panera. As a token from one of our Reps he offer to buy me and my team some lunch. We order the pick two turkey avocado sandwich and I had a Cesar salad great size and I love that the dressing was more than enough .. My boss got the same sandwich and broccoli cheddar soup and he said it was so delicious. My coworker got the same sandwich and cream of chicken wildrice soup and she also said it was really good. Why so much hate on this place? So many people complaining that the wait times are long and yes, If you choose to go through the drive through during peak hours (when inside is practically empty btw) of course the wait is going to be long. This location opened up just weeks ago during the busiest time of the year so of course things are not going to be perfect, it takes time to work out the kinks and for the staff to become fully trained and confident in the workplace. So that little rant aside this is my first experience of Panera and I have to give it to them, they're actually doing a really good job. On each visit the staff have been extremely welcoming and efficient with the Bakery items well stocked and the place clean. I'm yet to order any drinks from here but so far I am happy with the experiences I have had and having this addition to Tracy is welcomed. read more

Food is usually good, however over the last few months it seems they have forgotten how to make the food or just choose to ignore what you order. I go here quite frequently but the last several sandwiches I have ordered the ingredients I want in them have been ignored. It's getting pretty frustrating as it's simple things like no greens or add avocado or a certain type of bread. Also speaking of bread they seem to run out of certain types of bread and the bread bowls quite often, so I'm not sure what is happening with their inventory orders or if they just don't know how to order for the amount of customers they have? I hope it gets better in the future but only time will tell. read more

We went there to eat for breakfast. I was hungry so i ate my food fast. When i was almost done, i noticed one of the cherry tomato had a white fuss on it. I thought it was nothing but i got my flashlight to it looks like mold. I told the crew handing the orders out and looked at it with her bare fingers, no gloves. Customer service skills are great! Very friendly & patient. They missed one star because they did mess up my order once however, when I spoke with a manager, he was very apologetic & gave me his name to ask for him personally next time I come in & he would take care of the order I place. This Panera location is a bit smaller comparing to other locations. Came by at 8:30am and there was only a few customers. Cashier was nice and friendly. Quick and fast service. Their muffin and cones are to die for. Bacon egg and cheese on brioche bun is not so good. My over easy egg was over cooked, but cheese was not melted :(. My review is not on the food but the accuracy of ordering online and recivieng incorrect order. I don't order out much and my first time trying Panera, my order was innacurate I ordered onion soup and received broccoli cheddar, by the time I noticed I was home and was trying to call the restaurant to let them know but no one answered the phone. When I picked my order up it was empty there so no excuse to not answer phone. With gas prices the way they are I do not have the time to waste going if they do not even answer the phone. I went today with my husband. We drove thru since it was 11:00 am and not one car in line. I ordered a grilled cheese with white cheddar and my husband ordered a steak and cheddar sandwich. Our bill was $18.60 for 2 sandwiches (not cheap but not unreasonable). The sandwiches took quite awhile- but we weren't in a hurry so we didn't care. When we opened the boxes, we were so disappointed! My grilled cheese was barely warm- not at all toasty, the bread wasn't lined up, and the cheese wasn't at all melted! I want to love this place. The breakfast food is decent...but this place is NEVER ready for open! They say they open at 6am (which is already too late in my opinion to get the commuter crowd) but I order a sandwich and hear 'sausage isn't ready yet' or 'bacon needs more time'. Average wait in the drive thru after ordering is 9-11 min!!! Too long before an already crazy commute. Like most of this area I wake up early to travel over this hill and sometimes grab breakfast on the way (3 times a week). It would be great if this place stepped up their game for this. read more

There is no ambience! It's like a maze. Good thing I'm not claustrophobic. I still don't understand the "add 2"- and the cashier didn't seem to understand it either. Very confusing. Finally, my boyfriend and I each got a pepperoni/chicken/mozzarella melt, and a bowl of Turkey chili. The Turkey chili was excellent -I highly recommend it. I don't recommend the melt. The pepperoni overpowered the whole sandwich. You couldn't even taste the chicken. Was there any? The whole thing with two sodas came to about $45.00!! Next time I'm going to an independent restaurant where the food is better, I get served, and there's some warmth and atmosphere to the place -a much better value for the money! read more

There drive thru is frequently closed without warning, it is super convenient to see people in the drive thru and then cones up at the front so other cars cannot enter. It is rare to have a Panera in a remote area WITH a drive thru still this location barely takes advantage of this feature. Recommend door dash or if you have time plan to always go inside. Update: the next time here, the cashier was wonderful, very helpful in answering questions to order. Unfortunately my sandwich had no chicken on it - it tasted ok, but very disappointed since I didn't really get a chicken sandwich (see added new images showing the amount included in the sandwich - not attached to this review). Original Review: (4 stars) My first time actually eating at a Panera Location (previously only had drinks there for a quick meeting). This time I went with a friend who has been before so she showed me the ropes. They have kiosks that you can use to place your order in the location so you don't have to stand in line and order. It was fairly easy as a first time user to place my order even with all my special requests and options. There were a few things I didn't like about the kiosk: 1. As a first time user, there was no way for me to sign up for the member card and start getting points for freebies (this can only be done at the standard ordering/cashier station) - I even tried using my phone to register but couldn't because I needed to have a card # which wasn't available at the kiosk counter. the line was so long at the cashier, I didn't want to stand in the line to ask for one (defeated the purpose of the kiosk). I ended up using my friends for this trip. 2. The system only allowed a couple changes to the sandwich (via check boxes) no matter if the items I was trying to add were free or an up-charge. I had to add all of the stuff with extra charges (cheese & avocado) via checkbox and everything else free I added into the special order text notes section and requested the added free items to be on my sandwich since their system wouldn't accommodate. After I ordered from the kiosk, got our drinks, picked a table and sat down. Our food came out pretty quickly and looked hot and fresh. I ordered the two items, 1/2 sandwich and soup: Sandwich - Napa almond chicken salad sandwich with added Swiss cheese, avocado, cucumber, and onions on honey wheat bread (I switched out the standard bread that comes with this sandwich however bread not recommended with this sandwich as it crumbled apart) Soup - New England Clam Chowder Drink - Lemonade (I mixed my own combo of orange and pear flavors) Everything tasted great and the sandwich that they brought out was full size (SCORE!) I hadn't heard great things about this location especially so I was hesitant to try it however I really liked it and would go back again! read more

Normally I would not write a review for Panera but I am doing so because the staff here is very helpful. They were patient with me when I am was confused with what to order. They are also always on top of their service. At other Panera's I have noticed a lot of tables remain dirty and here all tables were cleaned as soon as a customer left. So I am not a big fan of Panera. They overcharge for food and pastries. The cheese on my sandwich tasted weird as did the sausage. The sausage had a weird texture for sure. I was driving past Tracy after a hike with my son, and we wanted a healthy option - but drive through. (We we're pretty filthy from our hike) So we chose PANERA drive through. Since I've never been to this location, and never used a Panera drive through - I had to take a couple minutes to look at the menu. The lady taking my order was so nice and personable; didn't make me feel rushed at all. Asked me great questions to help me make my decision. When I got to the window the gentleman there was equally as nice, personable and accommodating - by that I mean after I was handed my menu items he asks 'is there anything else I can get for you?' When we got home with our food the sandwiches were plentiful and delicious!! My salad was soooo fresh and tasty. The entire experience made me come back a day later and write this! I've been a regular of this location ever since it opened, and they definitely still have tons to improve on. First of all, during it's first few weeks after it opened, the free internet was perfectly fine. It wasn't slow, and that made it a good place to study at. I came here to study quietly, until one day the internet just stopped working. I've been told by a worker that the internet is on and off, but it doesn't seem so because during my last few trips the internet was still "down." As for the cleanliness, the workers do a good job making sure each and every table is cleaned up. I never have a problem finding a clean table (unless during lunch time where everything is hectic). The food is alright. It tastes the same as any other Panera would, but the only problem I have with the food is the presentation. Whenever I order Rapid Pick-Up, it just seems as though a worker would just rip off a piece of the French bread (unevenly and poorly, to say) then throw the rest of my order into the bag. I mean, it tastes alright but they could do better on having the food at least be presentable to the customer. Convenient stop for me between Oakland and Elk Grove. Often I'm in Laguna West and this is the half way point. This is near the car dealers and that one DMV that never has a line. Yeah, I'm familiar with this area and a fan of any area that is right off the interstate near a freeway exit. This place has it together and is as clean as the most expensive hotel available. The bathrooms looked like they were out of an expensive spa. The interior/dining area also clean and bright. Food is standard among all restaurants - so is the helpful friendly service. Food is super clean - you can tell... Whole Foods approved type quality. Prices are a tad higher but you don't have to wonder what is in the food you buy. I always find taco restaurants most horrifying. With all the salsa and hot sauce those fly by night taco carts could get away with grinding up horse hooves tossed with saw dust and other bits and pieces and nobody would know. Panini is my favorite. Thin toasted bread. Their variety of non soda options is also unbeatable. So many tea and lemonade choices. More pleasant than Starbucks if you just want coffee and baked good too because there is more space, better layout and less crowding. Very pleasant stop as always. read more

I ordered that new Teriyaki Bowl, and actually, that's the first time ordering any kind of item like that. The pictures on the website can be deceiving, because it's extremely small. For $11.49 I would expect to get alot more than when I received. So I'm done. No more for me. I'm not sure if it's this location or if they are like that at all locations.
