What happened to the real St. Luis Bread Co. (Panera Bread) ? This name & brand has been turned into the modern day McDonalds of sandwiches, it's sad what the economy has done to franchise owners... The quality of each item on my sandwich was bad, the tomato bread was no soft, sweet & fresh like it use to be, the tomatoes & lettuce are not organic like it use to be, the portions of turkey were two slices of protein and hardly any & the cheese was not the original smoked guda it used to be, but an off brand out of a plastic bag sold at a grocery store... the bravo sauce was watered down and hardly any of it on the sandwich. This was the worst sandwhich Iv had in years and it saddens me, as I use to love this company. It lacked any true flavor of any kind What has the world of these business owners come too by spoiling the name of someone's once loved company and turning it into the junk that it is today. I will never return to this location, and the owners who believe in selling these low low standards to the public should be stripped of the Panera name. I will be sending this location & review to Panera corporate and hope they come to review the standards of your store for the sake of every American who deserves better. read more

Another day, of course a new Panera. This location inside was cozy, had a fireplace and plenty of seating and very clean. Could not get a picture of the fireplace, people were sitting there the whole time. Used the as I always do, food is ready to grab and go or eat there. Super fast and easy when ordering with the app. My normal order has been Ranch Cobb Salad w/chicken and sub green goddess dressing, comes with a free side always, apple, chips or bread, I normally get an apple. Also got my Sip Club drink and an 4 Asiago bagels today, Yum! This location is right off the 210 freeway, large parking lot, easy to get to and get out of. Inside is nice, open and clean, lots of seating and similar to other locations. Great spot for lunch. Enjoy. read more

I hadn't eaten at Panera dining in for YEARS. We usually order it for work meetings however and I LOVE the Fuji apple salad. I came in today with a friend from church and we both got the "pick two." Their spicy steak salad was REALLY spicy and good, spicier than I expected from Panera and so delicious. I was also glad they had their squash soup which is my all time fav. Against my judgement (in a weak moment), I ordered a few types of soup (specifically a bowl of Turkey chili for the hubs, a cup of broccoli cheddar, and Mac n' cheese in a sourdough bowl), two cookies, and a regular mango smoothie. The three soups each came with a small french baguette on the side. The cost? $70+. Unreal. Although the bread bowl is an upcharge, you are given a cup portion size. NOT worth the extra money. Panera will cost you an arm and a leg. You'll also need to eat the other arm and leg after being left hungry from their poor portions and lack of funds left for another meal. Amazing service from the staff but especially ANA!!! I came in with my mom for my coffee and decided to buy their Tuesday dozen. We decided to have our bagel for dine in. She was happy to assist with packaging the rest separately (3 plastic bags) so that the flavors doesn't mix between the everything bagel and cinnamon crunch. I wish all locations were this thorough. My husband and I went to Panera on 2/21/26 in the evening. We were so disappointed as we've been there in the past and it was really good. The place was filthy dirty. We both ordered half a sandwich and soup. My husband got the chicken and avocado sandwich and when he received it he thought it didn't have chicken on it. The chicken was so thin and almost barely there. Ridiculous. I ordered the focaccia Caprese sandwich and the mozzarella cheese was extremely thin and there was one fragment on half the sandwich...just terrible. I always enjoy a lunch date at Panera. A favorite is the value duet of the napa almond sandwich with the wild rice soup. I recently tried the chipotle avocado chicken melt and it was SOOOO good! Highly recommend! Their kitchen sink cookie is also amazingggg....but 800 calories - no exaggerating. Service is pretty fast. There are many Panera's that are closer to where I work, but I make sure I come to this location before I leave for work because of the service. I'm not sure why there's not more 5 star reviews of the Upland location. The kitchen staff are always very friendly, even when they're busy. The counter staff are also wonderful. Is every order perfect? Not always, but I feel way more often than your average grab-n-go place. If something's not right, just go tell them and they'll fix it! The ambience inside is also pleasant, with clean seating, nice tucked away booths if you want privacy, and the music is current and relaxing (unlike Target where the music is current but not my choice to shop to as it's mostly abrasive in sound and lyrics). Maybe I'm just old, and maybe I grew up on convenience food so I know not to expect too much, but it's enough to keep me coming back to Panera for the consistency. The price is right for "healthy" food, they run discounts and give you freebies if you use their reward program which come on, that's super easy. The people that work here are nice even though you know they probably deal with crap from customers all day. Location is good and indoors/patio are clean. Parking is easy. Came here last night and ordered something for dinner since I had a gift card. I saw that they had that new chicken teriyaki bowl so I wanted to try it (I typically don't really eat here but since I had the gift card thought I might as well use it). The staff was very friendly & service was quick! What I ordered: chicken teriyaki bowl and it came with a side of chips (I didn't want the bread) & I ordered a chocolate chip muffle. When I got in my car I took a bite of the muffle and I wasn't sure if it was stale or supposed to be a little crunchy but I remember getting one a few years ago & it wasn't that crunchy but I just thought maybe it was me. I threw it in the microwave when I got home to soften it up which kind of did the trick but some parts of it were still tough which made me think it might have been stale. As far as the bowl goes. Presentation wise when I opened it my initial thought was "meh" I guess I was expecting more. I took a bite...it was okay...nothing spectacular--but again I was extremely hungry at this point so I was going to eat it regardless. I ate half of it. It was pretty good. I am extremely disappointed in the availability of bread and pastries at this location a few months ago I made a review that they were always out of the bread bowls right at dinner time. And then for the next few months, it got better and they had them tonight I came in and they are out of the French baguettes bread, bowls, and most of their pastries and you can only get potato chips or an apple with your meal I would think that when you have the word bread in your name that you would actually have bread in the store available for people to purchase I really enjoyed the food. I ordered a garden caprese sandwich that came with one tiny slice of cheese that was only about 1/2 of the sandwich and two small slices of tomato. Basically paid for a baguette. This a great place to get a homemade meal with out having to cook at home! My kids and I love this place, they have a large seating area inside and outside. They have a huge variety of breads and delicious mea bowls, salads, sandwiches, wraps, soufflés pasta and soups. Very flavor kids meals and they bake their own delicious breads and pastries. Their salads are close to $12.00 when ordering online, but they come with bread and dressing. We'll, they were out of bread, so they offered an apple or chips. Panera Bread is out of bread??? We patronize this Panera somewhat frequently and usually get the service and quality we would expect from a mid-market chain bakery/eatery. Decent, not great, food and service with occasional inconsistencies. No big deal. So I recently started using their online ordering service. BEWARE! They may not be able to fulfill your order the way you expected. After ordering bakery items successfully the first few times, today I got a call while I was on the way to pick up my latest order (10 am) letting me know they were sold out of some of the items I ordered the day before, paying in advance. I order the day before to make sure I get what I want, because I understand things sell out sometimes so "same day" orders might not always work out. That's understandable. After speaking to the service person who put my order together, I learned that ordering the day before really doesn't matter. They sell whatever inventory they have regardless of your order, and then ask you to substitute other items for those you paid for already. He was nice enough to offer me a free pastry (no thank you). He also suggested I order on other days of the week or pick up my order earlier. How inconvenient! But what was really galling was that the manager was standing there the whole time. When I told this young man that I was very disappointed, and I did not understand why they don't review their orders in the morning to make sure they can be fulfilled, the manager looked the other way and did her best to ignore the conversation. Despite promises that Panera can fulfill orders placed and paid for the day before they are needed, they do not. For a major chain to have such shoddy processes in place for the online ordering they promote is a very bad look. read more

This Panera Bread restaurant in located in a sprawling shopping center on the Campus exit from FWY 210. My order was the Asian Sesame salad with chicken ($8.89) accompanied by a baguette. The food was delivered quickly enough, but there was no dressing on my salad, and I had to ask the server for some. She asked if I also wanted some butter for the baguette. Well, yeah. What, are they cutting back on frills here? Yes, I want dressing on my salad and butter on my baguette. Every time. The salad was fine, not terrific, but fresh, which is more than I can say for the baguette which fought me with every bite, and almost won. It was an interesting lunch break on our way to Big Bear.
