I went here for the first time today and it was well worth it. I had a very tasty sandwich and cant wait to go back to try some other ones. There is a wide variety on the menu for pastries, breads, sandwiches, salads, and soups. The guy that took my order didn't seem to be paying attention but luckily he got my order right! Typical Panera Bread, but tends to run out of menu items several hours before they close. Have ordered from them as early as 7 pm (they close at 10), and they were out of almost every variety of bread. That has happened more than one time, they also run out of soups early. Maybe they need to order more from their central bakery or make more when it looks like they are about to run out. In-laws wanted to bring the whole family out for lunch and they choose Panera bread cafe, this was my first time here and found the ordering system and menu to be very confusing, however I did like the pager system they provide you so you know when to go pick up your order, the order was also ready pretty quickly. The prices were a bit high for what you get, I ordered a half sandwich, mac & cheese with a drink and the total came to $10+ for mine alone. Once we were paged we went up to pickup the food and were told they were all out of their "signature" Mac & Cheese and had also run out of the clam chowder my son really wanted, on top of that they got the other soup orders incorrect as well, so we had to reorder other items and send back the wrong ones at the pickup area, which was annoying, however they did give the kids free cookies for their errors and running out of items on the menu we had ordered. The seating was comfortable, however the largest table they had only sat 4, so we had to separate into 3 tables, so it would have been nice if they had some larger family sized tables available. The food was very good, I ended up with the apple pecan salad instead of the mac & cheese and was impressed with the high quality ingredients and taste of all the food and of course as expected the bread was top quality. read more

My rating is not based on food but service. Their service is extremely slow. I have waited for over 10-15 minutes for a simple 1/2 salad in more than 3 occasions. When I think of going to Panera to grab a quick lunch, this is not the location I would go to. read more

Big problem with consistency here. Counter Staff was friendly, kitchen staff, not so much. Prices are high for a basic sandwich, mostly I just find their food bland. They need to season things like tomatoes and avacodo. Last sandwich I had there the bread was stale. Since it was to go, not much I could do about it. Since the sandwich was made at 10:30 in the morning, the kitchen staff obviously realized the bread was stale and choose to use it anyway. I won't rush to return. read more

Ordered a baja mac and cheese and it was served cold. When I brought it up to the employees attention I was told that there was a microwave in the lobby I could use to warm it up, um thanks but I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be served hot. My baguette was fine however my partner's was stale and dry. WORST Panera location ever! We have had problem after problem for years with this location getting to go orders right- we keep going back thinking things will change and they never do. We kept track of our to go orders and 14 out of the last 20 have been wrong- that's just not okay! And when you go back in to try and get your order corrected the employees are very rude to you. We used to use this place to cater our school luncheon for 130 staff but after too many problems and rude employees we cut ties. Now it's time to move on from going there as a family. We love Panera but WE ARE DONE with this location! read more

While the food is good and the online rapid pick up is great, there is inconsistency in orders. Often it is the case that the pickle is missing in a sandwich. Sometimes one of us will get it and another won't. I have had cases where the bread is missing with the soup. After complaining I was given a $5 voucher to use the next time I came in. While that is a nice gesture it is really not the same as having your order be right when you pick it up. It is hard to believe with the number of orders they process a day, and the fact that it is pretty much the same thing over and over that someone could so consistently miss the pickle in our order, or part of our order. I'd like to say they were on the ball.... But that would not be an honest review. I asked for a sandwich and cup of soup. They decided that meant some pick 2 thing they have. When I realized the mistake on my receipt I went and asked to have it corrected.... Yes, I was charged for the difference. They cancelled my first order and put in another order. Everything seemed ok. My buzzer went off and then I was told it wasn't ready that was just cancelling my first order, wait until it goes off again.... It never went off again. Went up and my food was just sitting on the counter. Checked it since my coworkers order didn't get no onion. And.... Yes, my no tomato sandwich had tomato. As they remade the sandwich I was asked how my meal was. I said I hadn't received it yet. The other workers told her the modifications weren't put in right on the second order and I informed her I had requested no tomato. Insert awkward snide look at me from the supervisor lady. Really? I still had my original receipt saying no tomato. Don't look at me like I'm the one who is working at a place that stated "accuracy matters" on the receipt. But I guess the customer is in charge of placing the orders in the computer. And maybe I should have clarified that what I asked for was what I wanted. And at this price.... This is our favorite Panera to go to! It is always clean, the staff is always super friendly, and the food always tastes delicious. We love Panera for our lunch dates but at some of them the food just doesn't taste as good compared to this location, which is what always brings us back. Friendly, fast and fresh, and I still enjoyed my sandwich, but, almost every table had crumbs and the carpet was rife with droppings of all sorts. Not sure what's going on with Panera but I've lost faith. Well I just payed 35 dollars for 2 sandwhiches a bowl of soup and some mac and cheese. Wouldn't mind paying that but when I got my food it was cold and when I asked for them to warm it up for me they refused and made me microwave it myself. Every time I come here the employees are less then friendly and the food is never as good as the other locations. I think I'll just be making my mac and cheese at home from now on since I have to microwave it myself anyways when I'm here. Might as well save 12 dollars. read more

Food is good, baked goods are great. They were out of mayonnaise and the staff, a group of high school kids not know any nutrition facts on any of the other sauces since they were out of mayonnaise. Love their food but the last 2 times we have tried to order lunch to go, we were told to call back in 10-15 minutes just to place our order & then to expect our food about 35-45 minutes later. So I've recently moved to this side of town. I've now gone to this location several times. I always ask for extra sauce on my sandwich because I think having it on one side of bread doesn't give you enough with the meat. Needless to say it's never right. Not once have they done it correctly. I usually order with the mobile app, but its happened when I've gone in to order as well, but it's just wrong every freaking time! Either not enough or it's in a cup on the side. I clicked extra not on the side people! Tonight takes the cake though. Not only is it a very thin bit of sauce but the sandwich is in two boxes and by the time I got everything home half of my soup had spilled because they didn't use a big enough bag to put the soup holder in the bottom of the bag. So needless to say if I ever order Panera again I'll go to my old location in Hazel Dell, friendly employees, clean location and my sandwich is always right! PS--wrote this before trying my sandwich....dry as a piece of freaking wood! Thanks a lot Panera on 164th! Not only did my work day suck but now my dinner did too...Any chance on a refund? This location is probably the worst Panera Bread I have visited. The customer service is seriously lacking at this location. The employees act as if the customers are a burden to their day. They have no knowledge of the products they offer. The food is also seriously lacking, especially for the prices. This location is also often out of basic items offered on on the menu. I ordered a whole sandwich, bagel, flatbread and a cup of soup to go. Total was $22.00, a little expensive for the size of the items. The flat bread was put together sloppy and the ingredients slipped out of the bread into the packaging by the time I got home. They only gave me half sandwich in error, and I didn't realize until I got home. The half sandwich I did get didn't look like a restaurant sandwich, but something I could make at home quickly. The service was mediocre, cashiers weren't that friendly (no smiles). I gave two stars only because the butternut squash soup was really good. They did send me $9 in coupons for the error in the order. I used the coupons, but I won't be returning. read more
